യോശുവ 13
1 യോശുവ വൃദ്ധനായപ്പോൾ യഹോവ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: “നീ വൃദ്ധനായിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇനിയും വളരെയധികം ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കാനുമുണ്ട്.
Now Joshua was old, well stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old, stricken in years, and of the land there remaineth yet very much to be taken possession of.
2 “ഇനിയും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഭൂപ്രദേശം ഇവയാണ്: “ഈജിപ്റ്റിനു കിഴക്ക് സീഹോർനദിമുതൽ വടക്ക് എക്രോൻദേശംവരെ കനാന്യരുടേതെന്നു കരുതപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെയും ഗെശൂര്യരുടെയും ദേശം; ഗസ്സാ, അശ്ദോദ്യ, അസ്കലോന്യ, ഗാത്, അവ്വ്യരുടെ എക്രോൻ എന്നീ അഞ്ച് ഫെലിസ്ത്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ ദേശം;
This is the land that yet remaineth: All the circles of the Philistines, and all [the land of the] Geshurites,
From the Shichor, which runneth before Egypt, even unto the boundary of 'Ekron northward, is counted to the Canaanites; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazzathites, and the Ashdodites, the Eshkelonites, the Gittites, and the 'Ekronites; also the 'Avvim;
4 തെക്ക്; സീദോന്യരുടെ ആരമുതൽ അഫേക്കുവരെയും അമോര്യരുടെ അതിരുവരെയുമുള്ള കനാന്യദേശം;
On the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Me'arah that belongeth to the Zidonians, up to Aphek, up to the border of the Emorites;
5 ഗിബാല്യരുടെ മേഖലയും ലെബാനോൻ മുഴുവനും കിഴക്ക്; ഹെർമോൻപർവതത്തിന്റെ അടിവാരത്തുള്ള ബാൽ-ഗാദുമുതൽ ലെബോ-ഹമാത്തുവരെയുള്ള ദേശം ഈ ഭൂപ്രദേശമാകുന്നു.
And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the rising of the sun, from Ba'al-gad under mount Chermon up to the entrance of Chamath.
6 “ലെബാനോൻമുതൽ മിസ്രെഫോത്ത്-മയീംവരെയുള്ള പർവതമേഖലകളിലെ നിവാസികളായ സീദോന്യരെ മുഴുവൻ ഞാൻതന്നെ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് നീക്കിക്കളയും. ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു നിർദേശിച്ചതുപോലെ ഈ ഭൂപ്രദേശം മുഴുവൻ ഇസ്രായേലിന് അവകാശമായിക്കൊടുക്കണം.
All the inhabitants of the mountain from Lebanon unto Missrephoth-mayim, all the Zidonians: these will I drive out from before the children of Israel; only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
7 ഒൻപതു ഗോത്രങ്ങൾക്കും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പകുതിഗോത്രത്തിനും അവകാശമായി അതു ഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുക്കണം.”
And now divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Menasseh.
8 മനശ്ശെയുടെ മറ്റേപകുതിക്കും രൂബേന്യർക്കും ഗാദ്യർക്കും യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ മോശ വിഭജിച്ചുകൊടുത്തതനുസരിച്ച് യോർദാന് കിഴക്കുള്ള ഭൂപ്രദേശത്ത് ഓഹരി ലഭിച്ചു.
With him the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave unto them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the Lord hath given them;
9 അർന്നോൻമലയിടുക്കിന്റെ അറ്റത്തുള്ള അരോയേരും മലയിടുക്കിന്റെ മധ്യത്തിലുള്ള പട്ടണവുംമുതൽ ദീബോൻവരെയുള്ള മെദേബാപീഠഭൂമി മുഴുവനും,
From 'Aro'er, that is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba up to Dibon;
10 അമ്മോന്യരുടെ അതിരുവരെ ഹെശ്ബോനിൽ ഭരിച്ചിരുന്ന അമോര്യരാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളും;
And all the cities of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned over Cheshbon, up to the border of the children of 'Ammon;
11 ഗിലെയാദ്, ഗെശൂര്യരുടെയും മാഖാത്യരുടെയും ദേശം, ഹെർമോൻപർവതം മുഴുവനും, സൽക്കാവരെയുള്ള ബാശാൻമുഴുവനും—
And Gil'ad, and the territory of the Geshurites and Ma'achathites, and all mount Chermon, and all Bashan up to Salchah;
12 അസ്തരോത്തിലും എദ്രെയിലും ഭരിച്ചിരുന്നവനും മല്ലന്മാരിൽ അവസാനത്തെ ആളായി ശേഷിച്ചവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനുമായ ബാശാനിലെ ഓഗിന്റെ രാജ്യംമുഴുവനും ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. മോശ ഇവരെ തോൽപ്പിച്ചു ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
All the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, who reigned in 'Ashtaroth and in Edre'i; who had been left of the remnant of the Rephaim; and Moses smote them, and cast them out.
13 എന്നാൽ ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ഗെശൂര്യരെയും മയഖാത്യരെയും ഓടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞില്ല. അവർ തുടർന്നും ഇന്നുവരെ ഇസ്രായേല്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽ താമസിച്ചുവരുന്നു.
Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites; but the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites continued to dwell in the midst of the Israelites until this day.
14 മോശ ലേവിഗോത്രത്തിന് ഒരു അവകാശവും കൊടുത്തില്ല; ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്കുള്ള ദഹനയാഗങ്ങൾ, താൻ അവരോടു വാഗ്ദാനംചെയ്തതുപോലെ അവർക്കുള്ള ഓഹരി ആകുന്നു.
Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance: the fire-offerings of the Lord, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.
15 മോശ രൂബേൻഗോത്രത്തിനു കുലംകുലമായി കൊടുത്ത അവകാശഭൂമി ഇതാണ്:
And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families;
16 അർന്നോൻമലയിടുക്കിന്റെ അറ്റത്തുള്ള അരോയേരും മലയിടുക്കിന്റെ മധ്യഭാഗത്തുള്ള പട്ടണവുംമുതൽ മെദേബയ്ക്ക് അപ്പുറമുള്ള പീഠഭൂമിമുഴുവൻ;
And their territory was from 'Aro'er, that is on the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba;
17 ഹെശ്ബോനും അതിന്റെ പീഠഭൂമിയിലുള്ള എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളും ദീബോൻ, ബാമോത്ത്-ബാൽ, ബേത്-ബാൽ-മെയോൻ,
Cheshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-ba'al, and Beth-ba'al-me'on,
18 യാഹാസ്, കെദേമോത്ത്, മേഫാത്ത്,
And Yahzah, and Kedemoth, and Mepha'ath,
19 കിര്യാത്തയീം, സിബ്മ, താഴ്വരയിലെ കുന്നിലുള്ള സേരത്ത്-ശഹർ,
And Kiryathayim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-hashachar on the mount of the valley,
20 ബേത്-പെയോർ, പിസ്ഗാചെരിവുകൾ, ബേത്-യെശീമോത്ത്,
And Beth-pe'or, and the declivities of Pisgah, and Beth-hayeshimoth,
21 ഇങ്ങനെ പീഠഭൂമിയിലെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളും, ഹെശ്ബോനിൽ ഭരിച്ചിരുന്ന അമോര്യരാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെ രാജ്യം മുഴുവനുംതന്നെ. മോശ സീഹോനെയും അവനുമായി സഖ്യമുള്ള പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായ ഏവി, രേക്കെം, സൂർ, ഹൂർ, രേബ എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവിടെ താമസിച്ച മിദ്യാന്യപ്രമാണികളെയും പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.
And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned in Cheshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Chur, and Reba', the dukes of Sichon, the dwellers of the country.
22 യുദ്ധത്തിൽ കൊന്നവരെക്കൂടാതെ ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ബെയോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബിലെയാം എന്ന ദേവപ്രശ്നംവെക്കുന്നവനെയും വാൾകൊണ്ടു കൊന്നു.
And Bil'am the son of Be'or, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among their slain.
23 രൂബേന്യരുടെ അതിര് യോർദാന്റെ തീരമായിരുന്നു. ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയിലെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ആയിരുന്നു രൂബേന്യർക്കു കുലംകുലമായി കിട്ടിയ ഓഹരി.
And the boundary of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and its bordering territory. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and their villages.
24 മോശ ഗാദ്ഗോത്രത്തിനു കുലംകുലമായി കൊടുത്ത അവകാശഭൂമി ഇതാണ്:
And Moses gave unto the tribe of Gad, unto the children of Gad according to their families;
25 യാസേർപട്ടണം ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഭൂപ്രദേശം, ഗിലെയാദിലെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളും രബ്ബയുടെ സമീപം അരോയേർവരെയുള്ള അമ്മോന്യരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പകുതിയും;
And their territory was Ya'zer, and all the cities of Gil'ad, and half the land of the children of 'Ammon, up to 'Aro'er that is before Rabbah;
26 ഹെശ്ബോൻമുതൽ രാമാത്ത്-മിസ്പായും ബെതോനീമുംവരെയും, മഹനയീംമുതൽ ദെബീർവരെയും,
And from Cheshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Machanayim up to the border of Debir;
27 താഴ്വരയിൽ ഹെശ്ബോൻരാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ച പ്രദേശവും ബേത്-ഹാരാം, ബേത്-നിമ്രാ, സൂക്കോത്ത്, സാഫോൺ എന്നീ പട്ടണങ്ങളും ആയിരുന്നു. ഇതിനോടുചേർന്ന് യോർദാന്റെ കിഴക്കുവശം, കിന്നെരെത്തുതടാകംവരെയുമുള്ള ഭൂപ്രദേശവും അവർക്ക് അവകാശപ്പെട്ടതായിരുന്നു.
And in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sichon the king of Cheshbon, the Jordan and its bordering territory, up to the edge of the sea of Kinnereth on the other side of the Jordan eastward.
28 ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയിലെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ആയിരുന്നു ഗാദ്യർക്കു കുലംകുലമായി ലഭിച്ച ഓഹരി.
This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities and their villages.
29 മോശ മനശ്ശെഗോത്രത്തിന്റെ പകുതിക്ക്, മനശ്ശെയുടെ പിൻഗാമികളുടെ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ പകുതിക്ക്, കുലംകുലമായി കൊടുത്ത അവകാശഭൂമി ഇതാണ്:
And Moses gave unto the half tribe of Menasseh; and it belonged to the half tribe of the children of Menasseh after their families;
30 മഹനയീംമുതൽ ബാശാൻമുഴുവനും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഭൂപ്രദേശം, ബാശാൻരാജാവായ ഓഗിന്റെ രാജ്യം മുഴുവൻ, ബാശാനിൽ യായീരിന്റെ സ്ഥലങ്ങളായ അറുപതു പട്ടണങ്ങൾ;
And their territory was from Machanayim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of 'Og the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Ya'ir, which are in Bashan, sixty cities;
31 ഗിലെയാദിന്റെ പകുതി, ബാശാനിലെ ഓഗിന്റെ രാജകീയ പട്ടണങ്ങളായ അസ്തരോത്തും എദ്രെയിയും. ഇവയായിരുന്നു മനശ്ശെയുടെ മകനായ മാഖീരിന്റെ പിൻഗാമികൾക്ക്—മാഖീരിന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളിൽ പകുതിപേർക്കുതന്നെ—കുലംകുലമായി ലഭിച്ച ഓഹരി.
And half Gil'ad and 'Ashtaroth, and Edre'i, the cities of the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, [belonged] unto the children of Machir the son of Menasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir after their families.
32 മോശ യെരീഹോവിനു കിഴക്ക് യോർദാനക്കരെ മോവാബ് സമതലപ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽവെച്ചു ഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത ഓഹരി ഇവയായിരുന്നു.
These are they to whom Moses did distribute an inheritance in the plans of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.
33 എന്നാൽ ലേവിഗോത്രത്തിന് മോശ ഒരു അവകാശവും കൊടുത്തില്ല. ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവതന്നെ, താൻ അവരോടു കൽപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ, അവരുടെ ഓഹരി ആകുന്നു.
But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the Lord the God of Israel is himself their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.
