ഇയ്യോബ് 9
1 അപ്പോൾ ഇയ്യോബ് മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു:
Joob answeride, and seide, Verili Y woot, that it is so,
2 “അതേ, ഇതെല്ലാം സത്യമാണെന്ന് എനിക്കറിയാം; എങ്ങനെയാണ് നശ്വരനായ മനുഷ്യൻ ദൈവമുമ്പാകെ നീതിമാനാകുന്നത്?
and that a man comparisound to God schal not be maad iust.
3 അവർ അവിടത്തോടു വാദത്തിനു തുനിയുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, അവിടന്ന് ഉന്നയിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ആയിരത്തിൽ ഒന്നിനുപോലും മറുപടിനൽകാൻ അവർക്കു സാധ്യമല്ലല്ലോ.
If he wole stryue with God, he may not answere to God oon for a thousynde.
4 അവിടത്തെ ജ്ഞാനം അപ്രമേയവും അവിടത്തെ ശക്തി അതുല്യവുമാണ്. അവിടത്തോട് പ്രതിയോഗിയായിട്ട് ഹാനി ഭവിക്കാതെ പിൻവാങ്ങുന്നവർ ആരാണ്?
He is wiys in herte, and strong in myyt; who ayenstood hym, and hadde pees?
5 അവിടന്ന് പർവതങ്ങളെ ഒരുമുന്നറിയിപ്പും കൂടാതെ നീക്കിക്കളയുകയും അവിടത്തെ കോപത്തിൽ അവിടന്ന് അവയെ മറിച്ചിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

6 അവിടന്ന് ഭൂമിയെ അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് ഇളക്കുകയും അതിന്റെ തൂണുകൾ പ്രകമ്പനംകൊള്ളുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.

7 സൂര്യനോട്, അതു പ്രകാശിക്കേണ്ടാ എന്ന് അവിടന്ന് ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നു; അവിടന്നു നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ പ്രഭയെ അടച്ചു മുദ്രവെക്കുന്നു.
Which comaundith to the sunne, and it risith not; and he closith the sterris, as vndur a signet.
8 അവിടന്നുതന്നെയാണ് ആകാശത്തെ വിരിക്കുന്നതും സമുദ്രത്തിലെ തിരമാലകളെ ചവിട്ടിമെതിക്കുന്നതും.
Which aloone stretchith forth heuenes, and goith on the wawis of the see.
9 അവിടന്നു സപ്തർഷികൾ, മകയിരം, കാർത്തിക എന്നീ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെയും ദക്ഷിണദിക്കിലെ നക്ഷത്രവ്യൂഹത്തെയും നിർമിക്കുന്നു.
Which makith Ariture, and Orionas, and Hiadas, `that is, seuene sterris, and the innere thingis of the south.
10 അവിടന്ന് അപ്രമേയമായ വൻകാര്യങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു; എണ്ണമറ്റ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അവിടത്തെ കരങ്ങൾ നിർവഹിക്കുന്നു.
Which makith grete thingis, and that moun not be souyt out, and wondurful thingis, of whiche is noon noumbre.
11 അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ അരികത്തു വരുന്നു, എന്നാൽ എനിക്കു കാണാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല; അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ ചാരത്തുകൂടി നീങ്ങുന്നു, എന്നാൽ എനിക്കു ദർശിക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല.
If he cometh to me, `that is, bi his grace, Y schal not se hym; if he goith awey, `that is, in withdrawynge his grace, Y schal not vndurstonde.
12 അവിടന്നു പിടിച്ചെടുത്താൽ തടയാൻ ആർക്കു കഴിയും? ‘അങ്ങ് എന്താണീ ചെയ്യുന്നത്,’ എന്നു ചോദിക്കാൻ ആർക്കു കഴിയും?
If he axith sodeynli, who schal answere to hym? ethir who may seie to hym, Whi doist thou so?
13 ദൈവം തന്റെ ക്രോധം നിയന്ത്രണവിധേയമാക്കുന്നില്ല. രഹബിന്റെ അനുയായികൾ അവിടത്തേക്ക് കീഴടങ്ങുന്നു.
`God is he, whos wraththe no man may withstonde; and vndur whom thei ben bowid, that beren the world.
14 “ആ സ്ഥിതിക്ക് ഞാൻ അവിടത്തോട് വാദപ്രതിവാദം ചെയ്യുന്നതെങ്ങനെ? അവിടത്തോടു തർക്കിക്കാൻ ഞാൻ എവിടെനിന്നു വാക്കുകൾ കണ്ടെത്തും?
Hou greet am Y, that Y answere to hym, and speke bi my wordis with hym?
15 ഞാൻ നിർദോഷി ആയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽപോലും എനിക്കു മറുപടി പറയാൻ സാധ്യമല്ല; എന്റെ ന്യായാധിപനോട് കരുണയ്ക്കായി യാചിക്കുകമാത്രമേ എനിക്കു കഴിയൂ.
Which also schal not answere, thouy Y haue ony thing iust; but Y schal biseche my iuge.
16 ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ട് അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ ആവലാതി കേട്ടു, എങ്കിൽപോലും അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ സങ്കടയാചനകൾ കേൾക്കുമെന്നു ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല.
And whanne he hath herd me inwardli clepynge, Y bileue not, that he hath herd my vois.
17 കാരണം, കൊടുങ്കാറ്റുകൊണ്ട് അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുകയും അകാരണമായി എന്റെ മുറിവുകൾ വർധിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
For in a whirlewynd he schal al to-breke me, and he schal multiplie my woundis, yhe, without cause.
18 ശ്വാസം കഴിക്കാൻ അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ അനുവദിക്കാതെ ദുരിതംകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ഉള്ളം നിറയ്ക്കുന്നു.
He grauntith not, that my spirit haue reste, and he fillith me with bittirnesses.
19 ശക്തിയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ, അവിടന്നു ബലവാൻതന്നെ! ന്യായവാദത്തിന്റെ കാര്യമാണെങ്കിൽ, അതിനായി ആര് അവിടത്തെ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തും?
If strengthe is souyt, `he is moost strong; if equyte of doom is souyt, no man dar yelde witnessynge for me.
20 ഞാൻ നിരപരാധി ആയിരുന്നാലും, എന്റെ വായ് എന്നെ കുറ്റംവിധിക്കും. ഞാൻ നിഷ്കളങ്കനായാലും, അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ കുറ്റക്കാരനായി പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കും.
If Y wole make me iust, my mouth schal dampne me; if Y schal schewe me innocent, he schal preue me a schrewe.
21 “ഞാൻ നിഷ്കളങ്കൻ ആണെങ്കിലും, അത് എന്നെ ബാധിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തെ ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്നു.
Yhe, thouy Y am symple, my soule schal not knowe this same thing; and it schal anoye me of my lijf.
22 അതെല്ലാം ഒരുപോലെതന്നെ; അതിനാൽ ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു, ‘അവിടന്നു നിഷ്കളങ്കനെയും ദുഷ്ടനെയും നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.’
O thing is, which Y spak, he schal waste `bi deth also the innocent and wickid man.
23 കഠിനപ്രഹരം പെട്ടെന്നു മരണം വരുത്തുന്നു, അവിടന്നു നിരപരാധിയുടെ ദുർഗതിയെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.
If he betith, sle he onys, and leiye he not of the peynes of innocent men.
24 ഭൂമി അധർമികളുടെ കൈയിൽ അകപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ, ന്യായാധിപരുടെ കണ്ണ് അവിടന്നു കുരുടാക്കുന്നു. ഇതു ചെയ്തത് അവിടന്നല്ലെങ്കിൽ പിന്നെ ആരാണ്?
The erthe is youun in to the hondis of the wickid; he hilith the face of iugis; that if he is not, who therfor is?
25 “എന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് ഒരു ഓട്ടക്കാരനെക്കാൾ വേഗത്തിൽ പായുന്നു; ആനന്ദത്തിന്റെ ഒരു കണികപോലും കാണാതെ അതു പറന്നുപോകുന്നു.

26 ഞാങ്ങണകൊണ്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയ വള്ളംപോലെ ഓളപ്പരപ്പിൽ തെന്നിമാറുന്നു, ഇര റാഞ്ചുന്ന കഴുകനെപ്പോലെയും അതു കടന്നുപോകുന്നു.
Thei passiden as schippis berynge applis, as an egle fleynge to mete.
27 ‘എന്റെ ആവലാതി ഞാൻ മറക്കാം, എന്റെ വ്യസനഭാവം ഞാൻ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പുഞ്ചിരിതൂകാം,’ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞാലും,
Whanne Y seie, Y schal not speke so; Y chaunge my face, and Y am turmentid with sorewe.
28 ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോഴും എന്റെ വേദനകളെല്ലാം ഭയപ്പാടോടെ കാണുന്നു, അങ്ങ് എന്നെ നിരപരാധിയായി വിട്ടയയ്ക്കുകയില്ലെന്ന് എനിക്കറിയാം.
Y drede alle my werkis, witynge that thou `woldist not spare the trespassour.
29 ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ കുറ്റാരോപിതനായി എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ എന്തിനു വ്യർഥമായി പ്രയത്നിക്കുന്നു?

30 ഞാൻ ഹിമംകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ കഴുകിയാലും ക്ഷാരജലംകൊണ്ടു കൈകൾ വെടിപ്പാക്കിയാലും,

31 അങ്ങ് എന്നെ ചെളിക്കുണ്ടിലേക്കു ചവിട്ടിത്താഴ്ത്തും, അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾപോലും എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നു.
netheles thou schalt dippe me in filthis, and my clothis, `that is, werkis, schulen holde me abhomynable.
32 “അവിടത്തോടു ഞാൻ ഉത്തരം പറയേണ്ടതിനും ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരുമിച്ചു ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിൽ ഏറ്റുമുട്ടുന്നതിനും അവിടന്ന് എന്നെപ്പോലെ കേവലം മനുഷ്യനല്ലല്ലോ.

33 ഞങ്ങൾ ഇരുവരെയും അനുരഞ്ജിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മധ്യസ്ഥൻ ഞങ്ങൾക്കുമധ്യേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ,
`Noon is, that may repreue euer eithir, and sette his hond in bothe.

35 അപ്പോൾ ഭീതികൂടാതെ ഞാൻ അവിടത്തോടു സംസാരിക്കും, എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ അതിനു യാതൊരു നിർവാഹവുമില്ല.
Y schal speke, and Y schal not drede hym; for Y may not answere dredynge.
