ഇയ്യോബ് 7

1 “മനുഷ്യനു ഭൂമിയിൽ വിധിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത് കഠിനാധ്വാനമല്ലേ? അവരുടെ ദിവസങ്ങൾ കൂലിക്കാരുടെ ദിവസങ്ങൾപോലെയല്ലേ?

[Is there] not an appointed time to man upon earth? [are not] his days also like the days of a hireling?

2 ഒരു അടിമ അന്തിവെയിൽ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും തൊഴിലാളികൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കൂലിക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും

As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as a hireling looketh for [the reward of] his work;

3 വ്യർഥമാസങ്ങൾ എനിക്ക് ഓഹരിയായി ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; കഷ്ടതയുടെ രാത്രികൾ എനിക്കു നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.

4 കിടക്കുമ്പോൾ, ‘എനിക്ക് ഉണരാൻ എത്ര നേരമുണ്ട്?’ എന്നതാണ് എന്റെ ചിന്ത. എന്നാൽ രാത്രി നിരങ്ങിനീങ്ങുന്നു, അരുണോദയംവരെയും ഞാൻ കിടന്നുരുളുന്നു.

When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? and I am full of tossings to and fro to the dawning of the day.

5 എന്റെ ശരീരം പുഴുവും പൊറ്റനും പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ത്വക്കു വരണ്ടുപൊട്ടുകയും പഴുത്തൊലിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken and become lothsome.

6 “എന്റെ ദിവസങ്ങൾ നെയ്ത്തുകാരന്റെ ഓടത്തെക്കാൾ വേഗമുള്ളത്; പ്രതീക്ഷയ്ക്കു വകയില്ലാതെ അവ നിലയ്ക്കുന്നു.

My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.

7 ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ജീവൻ ഒരു ശ്വാസംമാത്രമെന്ന് ഓർക്കണമേ; എന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും ആനന്ദം കാണുകയില്ല.

O remember that my life [is] wind: my eye will no more see good.

8 എന്നെ ഇപ്പോൾ കാണുന്നവരുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ മേലിൽ എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയില്ല.

The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no [more]: thy eyes [are] upon me, and I [am] not.

9 ഒരു മേഘം ക്ഷയിച്ചു മാഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതുപോലെ ശവക്കുഴിയിലേക്കിറങ്ങുന്നവനും തിരികെ വരുന്നില്ല. (Sheol h7585)

[As] the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no [more]. (Sheol h7585)

10 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ വസതികളിലേക്കു തിരിച്ചെത്തുന്നില്ല; അവരുടെ സ്ഥലം ഇനിമേൽ അവരെ അറിയുകയുമില്ല.

He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.

11 “അതിനാൽ ഞാനിനി നിശ്ശബ്ദനായിരിക്കുകയില്ല; ആത്മവ്യഥയോടുകൂടിത്തന്നെ ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കും, മനോവേദനയാൽ ഞാൻ ആവലാതിപ്പെടും.

Therefore I will not restrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

12 അവിടന്ന് എനിക്കൊരു കാവൽ നിർത്താൻ ഞാൻ കടലോ കടലിലെ ഭീകരസത്വമോ?

[Am] I a sea, or a whale, that thou settest a watch over me?

13 എന്റെ കിടക്ക എന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കും; എന്റെ കട്ടിൽ എന്റെ ആവലാതികൾക്കു പരിഹാരം നൽകും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞാൽ,

When I say, My bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaint;

14 അവിടന്ന് സ്വപ്നങ്ങളാൽ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ദർശനങ്ങളാൽ എന്നെ സംഭ്രാന്തിയിലാഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions:

15 എന്നെ കഴുത്തുഞെരിച്ചു കൊല്ലുന്നത് എനിക്ക് അധികം ആശ്വാസകരം; ജീവിതത്തെക്കാൾ മരണം എനിക്ക് അഭികാമ്യം.

So that my soul chooseth strangling, [and] death rather than my life.

16 എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തെ ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുകയില്ലല്ലോ. എന്നെ വെറുതേവിടുക; എന്റെ ദിവസങ്ങൾ ഒരർഥവും ഇല്ലാത്തതാണല്ലോ.

I lothe [it]; I would not live always: let me alone; for my days [are] vanity.

17 “അവിടത്തെ ആദരവു ലഭിക്കാൻ മനുഷ്യർക്ക് എന്തു യോഗ്യത? അവരുടെമേൽ അതീവ ശ്രദ്ധചെലുത്തുന്നതിനും.

What [is] man, that thou shouldst magnify him? and that thou shouldst set thy heart upon him?

18 പ്രഭാതംതോറും അവരെ പരിശോധിക്കുന്നതിനും നിമിഷംതോറും പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനും അവർ എന്തുള്ളൂ?

And [that] thou shouldst visit him every morning, [and] try him every moment?

19 അവിടത്തെ നോട്ടം എന്നിൽനിന്ന് ഒരിക്കലും പിൻവലിക്കുകയില്ലേ? ഞാൻ ഉമിനീർ ഇറക്കുന്ന സമയംവരെപ്പോലും എന്നെ വെറുതേ വിടുകയില്ലേ?

How long wilt thou not depart from me, nor let me alone till I swallow my spittle?

20 മനുഷ്യരുടെ കാവൽക്കാരാ, ഞാൻ പാപം ചെയ്തുവോ? എന്ത് അവിഹിതമാണ് ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്കെതിരേ ചെയ്തത്? അങ്ങ് എന്നെ ലക്ഷ്യം വെക്കുന്നതെന്തിന്? ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്ക് ഒരു ഭാരമായിമാറിയിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

I have sinned; what shall I do to thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself?

21 അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ലംഘനം പൊറുക്കുകയും എന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല? ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ പൊടിയിൽ കിടക്കും; അങ്ങ് എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും, എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ജീവനോടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയില്ല.”

And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I [shall] not [be].
