ഇയ്യോബ് 6
1 അപ്പോൾ ഇയ്യോബ് ഇപ്രകാരം മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു:
Bvt Iob answered, and said,
2 “അയ്യോ! എന്റെ ദുഃഖം ഒന്നു തൂക്കിനോക്കിയെങ്കിൽ, എന്റെ ദുരിതങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഒരു തുലാസിൽ വെച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ!
Oh that my griefe were well weighed, and my miseries were layed together in the balance.
3 അതു സമുദ്രതീരത്തെ മണൽത്തരികളെക്കാൾ ഘനമേറിയതായിരിക്കും, നിശ്ചയം. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ വീണ്ടുവിചാരമില്ലാത്ത ഒന്നായിപ്പോയത്.
For it woulde be nowe heauier then the sande of the sea: therefore my wordes are swallowed vp.
4 സർവശക്തന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്റെമേൽ തറച്ചു, അവയുടെ വിഷം എന്റെ ആത്മാവു പാനംചെയ്തു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഘോരത്വങ്ങൾ എനിക്കെതിരേ അണിനിരന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
For the arrowes of the Almightie are in me, the venime whereof doeth drinke vp my spirit, and the terrours of God fight against me.
5 തിന്നുന്നതിനു പുല്ലുള്ളപ്പോൾ കാട്ടുകഴുത കരയുമോ? തീറ്റി മുമ്പിലിരിക്കെ കാള മുക്കുറയിടുമോ?
Doeth the wilde asse bray when he hath grasse? or loweth the oxe when he hath fodder?
6 രുചിയില്ലാത്ത ആഹാരം ഉപ്പു ചേർക്കാതെ കഴിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ? മുട്ടയുടെ വെള്ളയ്ക്ക് എന്ത് രുചിയാണുള്ളത്?
That which is vnsauerie, shall it be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egge?
7 അതു കൈകൊണ്ട് തൊടാൻപോലും ഞാൻ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നില്ല; അത്തരം ഭക്ഷണം എനിക്ക് മനംപിരട്ടൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.
Such things as my soule refused to touch, as were sorowes, are my meate.
8 “ഞാൻ ആശിച്ചവ എനിക്കു കിട്ടിയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ! എന്റെ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ ദൈവം സാധിപ്പിച്ചുതന്നിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ!
Oh that I might haue my desire, and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!
9 എന്നെ തകർത്തുകളയാൻ ദൈവത്തിന് ഇഷ്ടംതോന്നിയെങ്കിൽ! അവിടന്നു തന്റെ കൈനീട്ടി എന്നെ സംഹരിച്ചെങ്കിൽ നന്നായിരുന്നു.
That is, that God would destroy me: that he would let his hand go, and cut me off.
10 അതെനിക്ക് എത്രയോ ആശ്വാസമാകുമായിരുന്നു— പരിശുദ്ധനായവന്റെ വചനം ഞാൻ നിരസിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നോർത്ത് വിട്ടുമാറാത്ത വേദനയിൽ ഞാൻ ആനന്ദിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.
Then should I yet haue comfort, (though I burne with sorowe, let him not spare) because I haue not denyed the wordes of the Holy one.
11 “കാത്തിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് എനിക്കു ശക്തിയെവിടെ? എന്തിനുവേണ്ടിയാണു ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജീവിതം നീട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകേണ്ടത്?
What power haue I that I should endure? or what is mine end, if I should prolong my life?
12 എനിക്ക് കരിങ്കല്ലിന്റെ കരുത്താണോ ഉള്ളത്? എന്റെ ശരീരം വെങ്കലംകൊണ്ടുള്ള നിർമിതിയോ?
Is my strength the strength of stones? or is my flesh of brasse?
13 എന്നെ സഹായിക്കാൻ തക്ക ശേഷി എനിക്കുണ്ടോ? വിജയം എന്നിൽനിന്ന് ഓടിമറഞ്ഞില്ലേ?
Is it not so, that there is in me no helpe? and that strength is taken from me?
14 “സ്നേഹിതരോട് ദയ കാട്ടാതിരിക്കുന്ന ആൾ സർവശക്തനോടുള്ള ഭയമാണ് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളയുന്നത്.
He that is in miserie, ought to be comforted of his neighbour: but men haue forsaken the feare of the Almightie.
15 എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ഇടയ്ക്കിടെ ഒഴുകുന്ന അരുവിപോലെയാണ്, അവർ ആശ്രയിക്കാൻ കൊള്ളാവുന്നവരല്ല. ഉരുകുന്ന ഹിമത്താൽ കലങ്ങുമ്പോൾ അലിയുന്ന മഞ്ഞിനാൽ കവിയുമ്പോൾ കരകവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്ന നീരൊഴുക്കുപോലെയാണ് അവർ;
My brethre haue deceiued me as a brook, and as the rising of the riuers they passe away.
Which are blackish with yee, and wherein the snowe is hid.
17 എന്നാൽ വേനൽക്കാലത്ത് ഒഴുക്കു നിലച്ച്, ഉഷ്ണത്തിൽ അവയുടെ ചാലുകളിൽനിന്ന് അവ അദൃശ്യമായിപ്പോകുന്നു.
But in time they are dryed vp with heate and are consumed: and when it is hote they faile out of their places,
18 വ്യാപാരസംഘങ്ങൾ അവയുടെ സഞ്ചാരപഥം വിട്ടു തിരിയുന്നു; അവർ ഊഷരഭൂമിയിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞ് നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു.
Or they depart from their way and course, yea, they vanish and perish.
19 തേമായിലെ വ്യാപാരസംഘങ്ങൾ ഈ വെള്ളം തേടിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു; ശേബയിലെ വ്യാപാരികൾ അവയ്ക്കായി പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെ നോക്കുന്നു.
They that go to Tema, considered them, and they that goe to Sheba, waited for them.
20 തങ്ങൾ വിശ്വാസമർപ്പിച്ചവയെപ്പറ്റി അവർക്കു നിരാശതോന്നുന്നു; അവർ അവിടെയെത്തി ലജ്ജിതരാകുന്നു.
But they were confounded: when they hoped, they came thither and were ashamed.
21 ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ ഒന്നിനും ഉപകരിക്കാത്തവരെന്നു തെളിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭീകരമായതെന്തോ കണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ ഭ്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Surely nowe are ye like vnto it: ye haue seene my fearefull plague, and are afraide.
22 ‘എനിക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും നൽകൂ എന്നോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ധനത്തിൽനിന്ന് എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി മോചനദ്രവ്യം അടയ്‌ക്കൂ എന്നോ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞുവോ?
Was it because I said, Bring vnto me? or giue a rewarde to me of your substance?
23 ശത്രുവിന്റെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കണമെന്നോ മർദകരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ മോചിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നോ ഞാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടോ?’
And deliuer me from the enemies hande, or ransome me out of the hand of tyrants?
24 “എന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കുക; ഞാൻ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കാം; എവിടെയാണ് എനിക്കു വീഴ്ചപറ്റിയതെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുക.
Teach me, and I wil hold my tongue: and cause me to vnderstande, wherein I haue erred.
25 സത്യസന്ധമായ വാക്കുകൾ എത്ര വേദനാജനകം! എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്താണ് വാദിച്ചു തെളിയിക്കാൻ തുനിയുന്നത്?
Howe stedfast are the wordes of righteousnes? and what can any of you iustly reproue?
26 എന്റെ വാക്കുകളെ തിരുത്താനാണോ നിങ്ങൾ തുനിയുന്നത്? നിസ്സഹായന്റെ വാക്കുകളെ കാറ്റിനു തുല്യമാണോ പരിഗണിക്കുന്നത്.
Doe ye imagine to reproue wordes, that the talke of the afflicted should be as the winde?
27 അനാഥരെപ്പോലും നിങ്ങൾ നറുക്കിട്ടു വിൽക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹിതരെപ്പോലും നിങ്ങൾ മാറ്റക്കച്ചവടംചെയ്യുന്നു.
Ye make your wrath to fall vpon the fatherlesse, and dig a pit for your friende.
28 “ഇപ്പോൾ എന്നെ കരുണയോടെ നോക്കുക; നിങ്ങളുടെ മുഖത്തുനോക്കി ഞാൻ വ്യാജം പറയുമോ?
Nowe therefore be content to looke vpon me: for I will not lie before your face.
29 മതിയാക്കുക, അന്യായം പ്രവർത്തിക്കരുതേ; പുനർവിചിന്തനം ചെയ്താലും, എന്റെ സത്യസന്ധതയാണ് ചോദ്യംചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നത്.
Turne, I pray you, let there be none iniquitie: returne, I say, and ye shall see yet my righteousnesse in that behalfe.
30 എന്റെ നാവിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും ദുഷ്ടത കാണുന്നുണ്ടോ? എന്റെ വായ്ക്കു വിപത്തിനെ തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ കഴിവില്ലേ?
Is there iniquitie in my tongue? doeth not my mouth feele sorowes?
