ഇയ്യോബ് 42

1 അപ്പോൾ ഇയ്യോബ് യഹോവയോട് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്:

Then Iob answered the Lord, and sayd,

2 “അങ്ങേക്ക് എല്ലാം സാധ്യമെന്നും അങ്ങയുടെ ഉദ്ദേശ്യങ്ങളൊന്നും തടയിടാൻ പറ്റാത്തവയുമാണെന്നും എനിക്കറിയാം.

I knowe that thou canst doe all things, and that there is no thought hidde from thee.

3 ‘അജ്ഞതയാൽ എന്റെ ആലോചന ആച്ഛാദനംചെയ്യുന്ന ഇവൻ ആർ?’ അവിടന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നു. എനിക്ക് അജ്ഞാതമായവയെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ സംസാരിച്ചു. നിശ്ചയം, അവ എനിക്കു ഗ്രഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നതിലും അധികം അത്ഭുതകരമായിരുന്നു.

Who is hee that hideth counsell without knowledge? therefore haue I spoken that I vnderstood not, euen things too wonderfull for me, and which I knew not.

4 “‘ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേൾക്കുക; ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കും. ഞാൻ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കും; നീ ഉത്തരം നൽകണം,’ എന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തല്ലോ.

Heare, I beseech thee, and I will speake: I will demaunde of thee, and declare thou vnto me.

5 അങ്ങയെക്കുറിച്ച് എന്റെ കാതുകളാൽ ഞാൻ കേൾക്കുകമാത്രമേ ചെയ്തിരുന്നുള്ളൂ; എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ അങ്ങയെ ദർശിച്ചല്ലോ.

I haue heard of thee by the hearing of the eare, but now mine eye seeth thee.

6 അതിനാൽ ഞാൻ സ്വയം വെറുത്ത് പൊടിയിലും ചാരത്തിലും കിടന്ന് അനുതപിക്കുന്നു.”

Therefore I abhorre my selfe, and repent in dust and ashes.

7 യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിനോട് ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതിനുശേഷം, തേമാന്യനായ എലീഫാസിനോട് കൽപ്പിച്ചത്: “എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബ് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ശരിയായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ സംസാരിക്കാഞ്ഞതിനാൽ എന്റെ കോപം നിനക്കും നിന്റെ രണ്ടു സ്നേഹിതന്മാർക്കും എതിരേ ജ്വലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now after that the Lord had spoken these wordes vnto Iob, ye Lord also said vnto Eliphaz ye Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for yee haue not spoken of me the thing that is right, like my seruant Iob.

8 അതുകൊണ്ട് ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ ഏഴു കാളകളും ഏഴ് കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുമായി, എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽപോയി നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ഒരു ഹോമയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുക. എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബ് നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രാർഥിക്കും. നിങ്ങളുടെ തെറ്റിനു തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങളോട് ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമാറ് ഞാൻ അവന്റെ പ്രാർഥന കേൾക്കും. എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സത്യമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾ സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ.”

Therefore take vnto you nowe seuen bullockes, and seuen rammes, and go to my seruant Iob, and offer vp for your selues a burnt offring, and my seruant Iob shall pray for you: for I wil accept him, least I should put you to shame, because ye haue not spoken of me the thing, which is right, like my seruant Iob.

9 അങ്ങനെ തേമാന്യനായ എലീഫാസും ശൂഹ്യനായ ബിൽദാദും നാമാത്യനായ സോഫറും പോയി യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു കൽപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ പ്രാർഥന കൈക്കൊണ്ടു.

So Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the Lord had saide vnto them, and the Lord accepted Iob.

10 ഇയ്യോബ് തന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാർക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രാർഥിച്ചതിനുശേഷം, യഹോവ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഐശ്വര്യം പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ച്, മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിന്റെയും ഇരട്ടി ഓഹരി നൽകി.

Then the Lord turned the captiuitie of Iob, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gaue Iob twise so much as he had before.

11 പിന്നീട് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ സഹോദരന്മാരും സഹോദരിമാരും മുമ്പ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു പരിചയമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്ന്, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊരുമിച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു. യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെമേൽ വരുത്തിയ എല്ലാ ദോഷങ്ങളെയുംകുറിച്ച് അവർ സഹതപിക്കുകയും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവരിലോരോരുത്തരും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഓരോ വെള്ളിനാണയവും ഓരോ സ്വർണമോതിരവും പാരിതോഷികമായി നൽകി.

Then came vnto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had bene of his acquaintance before, and did eate bread with him in his house, and had compassion of him, and comforted him for al the euil, that the Lord had brought vpon him, and euery man gaue him a piece of money, and euery one an earing of golde.

12 യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ ശിഷ്ടജീവിതകാലം മുൻകാലത്തെക്കാൾ അനുഗ്രഹപൂർണമാക്കി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു പതിന്നാലായിരം ആടും ആറായിരം ഒട്ടകവും ആയിരംജോടി കാളയും ആയിരം പെൺകഴുതയും ഉണ്ടായി.

So the Lord blessed the last dayes of Iob more then the first: for he had foureteene thousand sheepe, and sixe thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand shee asses.

13 അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഏഴു പുത്രന്മാരും മൂന്നു പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.

He had also seue sonnes, and three daughters.

14 തന്റെ പുത്രിമാരിൽ മൂത്തവൾക്ക് യെമീമയെന്നും രണ്ടാമത്തവൾക്കു കെസിയായെന്നും മൂന്നാമത്തവൾക്ക് കേരെൻ-ഹപ്പൂക് എന്നും പേരിട്ടു.

And he called the name of one Iemimah, and the name of the seconde Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch.

15 ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെപ്പോലെ സുന്ദരികളായ സ്ത്രീകൾ ആ നാട്ടിലെങ്ങും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. അവരുടെ പിതാവ് അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടൊപ്പം അവർക്ക് ഓഹരികൊടുത്തു.

In all the lande were no women found so faire as the daughters of Iob, and their father gaue them inheritaunce among their brethren.

16 ഇതിനുശേഷം ഇയ്യോബ് 140 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; തന്റെ മക്കളെയും അവരുടെ മക്കളെയും അങ്ങനെ നാലു തലമുറകൾവരെ കണ്ടു.

And after this liued Iob an hundreth and fourtie yeres, and sawe his sonnes, and his sonnes sonnes, euen foure generations.

17 ഇയ്യോബ് വയോവൃദ്ധനും പൂർണായുഷ്മാനുമായി ഇഹലോകവാസം വെടിഞ്ഞു.

So Iob dyed, being old, and full of dayes.
