ഇയ്യോബ് 34

1 എലീഹൂ പിന്നെയും ഇപ്രകാരം സംസാരിച്ചു:

Moreouer Elihu answered, and saide,

2 “ജ്ഞാനികളായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുക; വിദ്യാസമ്പന്നരേ, എനിക്കു ചെവിതരിക.

Heare my wordes, ye wise men, and hearken vnto me, ye that haue knowledge.

3 നാവ് ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ രുചിഭേദങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നതുപോലെ ചെവി വാക്കുകളെ പരിശോധിക്കുന്നു.

For the eare tryeth the words, as the mouth tasteth meate.

4 ശരിയായത് എന്തെന്നു നമുക്കുതന്നെ വിവേചിച്ചറിയാം; നന്മയെന്തെന്നു നമുക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ചു പഠിക്കാം.

Let vs seeke iudgement among vs, and let vs knowe among our selues what is good.

5 “ഇയ്യോബ് അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നത്: ‘ഞാൻ നീതിമാൻ, എന്നാൽ ദൈവം എനിക്കു നീതി നിഷേധിക്കുന്നു.

For Iob hath saide, I am righteous, and God hath taken away my iudgement.

6 ന്യായം എന്റെ ഭാഗത്തായിരുന്നിട്ടും എന്നെ ഒരു നുണയനായി കണക്കാക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഒരു കുറ്റവാളി അല്ലാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവിടത്തെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിൽ ഭേദമാകാത്ത മുറിവുകൾ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.’

Should I lye in my right? my wound of the arrowe is grieuous without my sinne.

7 ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ ആരെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടാകുമോ? അദ്ദേഹം പരിഹാസത്തെ വെള്ളംപോലെ പാനംചെയ്യുന്നു.

What man is like Iob, that drinketh scornfulnesse like water?

8 അദ്ദേഹം അനീതി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരോടു ചങ്ങാത്തംകൂടുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടരോടൊപ്പം അദ്ദേഹം നടക്കുന്നു.

Which goeth in the companie of them that worke iniquitie, and walketh with wicked men?

9 കാരണം ‘ദൈവത്തെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് മനുഷ്യർക്ക് യാതൊരു പ്രയോജനവുമില്ല’ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞില്ലേ?

For he hath saide, It profiteth a man nothing that he should walke with God.

10 “അതിനാൽ വിവേകികളേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക. ദൈവം ഒരുനാളും ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നില്ല; സർവശക്തൻ ഒരിക്കലും ദോഷം ചെയ്യുകയുമില്ല.

Therefore hearken vnto me, ye men of wisedome, God forbid that wickednesse should be in God, and iniquitie in the Almightie.

11 അവിടന്നു മനുഷ്യർക്ക് അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കനുസരിച്ചു പ്രതിഫലം നൽകുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ പെരുമാറ്റത്തിന് അർഹമായത് അവർ നേടുന്നു.

For he will render vnto man according to his worke, and cause euery one to finde according to his way.

12 തീർച്ചയായും ദൈവം തിന്മ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയില്ല, സർവശക്തൻ നീതി മറിച്ചുകളയുകയുമില്ല.

And certainely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almightie peruert iudgement.

13 ഭൂമിയുടെ അധിപനായി അവിടത്തെ നിയമിച്ചത് ആരാണ്? സർവ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിന്റെയും നിയന്ത്രണം ആരാണ് അവിടത്തേക്ക് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തത്?

Whome hath he appointed ouer the earth beside him selfe? or who hath placed the whole worlde?

14 അവിടത്തെ ഹിതപ്രകാരം തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും ശ്വാസത്തെയും അവിടന്നു പിൻവലിച്ചാൽ,

If he set his heart vpon man, and gather vnto him selfe his spirit and his breath,

15 മനുഷ്യകുലമെല്ലാം ഒന്നടങ്കം നശിച്ചുപോകും, മനുഷ്യൻ പൊടിയിലേക്കുതന്നെ തിരികെച്ചേരും.

All flesh shall perish together, and man shall returne vnto dust.

16 “നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഇതു കേൾക്കുക; ഞാൻ പറയുന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക.

And if thou hast vnderstanding, heare this and hearken to the voyce of my wordes.

17 ന്യായത്തെ വെറുക്കുന്നവർക്കു ഭരണം നടത്താൻ കഴിയുമോ? നീതിനിഷ്ഠനും സർവശക്തനുമായ ദൈവത്തെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കുറ്റം വിധിക്കാമോ?

Shal he that hateth iudgement, gouerne? and wilt thou iudge him wicked that is most iust?

18 രാജാവിനോട്, ‘നീ അയോഗ്യനെന്നും’ പ്രഭുക്കളോട് ‘നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടരെന്നും,’ പറയുന്നത് അവിടന്നല്ലേ?

Wilt thou say vnto a King, Thou art wicked? or to princes, Ye are vngodly?

19 അവിടന്നു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടു പക്ഷപാതം കാട്ടുകയില്ല; ദരിദ്രരെക്കാൾ ധനവാന്മാരെ അധികം ആദരിക്കുകയില്ല. അവരെല്ലാം അവിടത്തെ കരവിരുതല്ലോ?

How much lesse to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, and regardeth not the rich, more then the poore? for they be all the worke of his handes.

20 ഒരു നിമിഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ അവർ മരിക്കുന്നു; അർധരാത്രിയിൽത്തന്നെ ഒരു നടുക്കത്തിൽ ആളുകൾ ഞെട്ടിവിറച്ച് കടന്നുപോകുന്നു. ആരുടെയും കൈ ചലിപ്പിക്കാതെതന്നെ പ്രബലർ നീക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

They shall die suddenly, and the people shalbe troubled at midnight, and they shall passe foorth and take away the mightie without hand.

21 “അവിടത്തെ കണ്ണ് മനുഷ്യരുടെ വഴികൾ നിരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഓരോ കാൽവെയ്പും അവിടന്നു കാണുന്നു.

For his eyes are vpon the wayes of man, and he seeth all his goings.

22 അധർമികൾക്ക് ഒളിച്ചുപാർക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്ന ഇരുളോ അന്ധതമസ്സോ ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല.

There is no darkenesse nor shadowe of death, that the workers of iniquitie might be hid therein.

23 ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിന് ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ആരൊക്കെ വരണം എന്നു തീരുമാനിക്കുന്നതിന്, ആരെക്കുറിച്ചും പ്രത്യേകമായി അന്വേഷണം നടത്തേണ്ട ആവശ്യം ദൈവത്തിനില്ല.

For he will not lay on man so much, that he should enter into iudgement with God.

24 യാതൊരു അന്വേഷണവും കൂടാതെതന്നെ അവിടന്നു ശക്തരെ ചിതറിക്കുന്നു, അവരുടെ സ്ഥാനത്തു മറ്റുചിലരെ നിയമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

He shall breake the mightie without seeking, and shall set vp other in their stead.

25 അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ അവിടന്ന് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നു, രാത്രിയിൽത്തന്നെ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ തകിടംമറിക്കുന്നു, അവർ തകർന്നുപോകുന്നു.

Therefore shall he declare their works: he shall turne the night, and they shalbe destroyed.

26 അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം എല്ലാവരും കാണുന്ന ഇടത്തുവെച്ചുതന്നെ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

He striketh them as wicked men in the places of the seers,

27 കാരണം അവർ അവിടത്തെ പിൻതുടരുന്നതിൽനിന്നു വ്യതിചലിക്കുകയാലും അവിടത്തെ വഴികളോട് യാതൊരു ആദരവും കാണിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയാലുംതന്നെ.

Because they haue turned backe from him, and would not consider all his wayes:

28 ദരിദ്രരുടെ നിലവിളി അവിടത്തെ പക്കലെത്താൻ അവർ ഇടവരുത്തി; അതുകൊണ്ട് നിരാലംബരുടെ കരച്ചിൽ അവിടത്തെ ചെവിയിൽ എത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

So that they haue caused the voyce of the poore to come vnto him, and he hath heard the cry of the afflicted.

29 എന്നാൽ അവിടന്നു മൗനമായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ആർ അവിടത്തെ കുറ്റംവിധിക്കും? അവിടന്നു മുഖം മറച്ചുകളയുമ്പോൾ ആർക്ക് അവിടത്തെ കാണാൻ കഴിയും? വ്യക്തികളുടെമേലും രാഷ്ട്രത്തിന്റെമേലും അവിടന്ന് ഒരുപോലെതന്നെ.

And when he giueth quietnesse, who can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who can beholde him, whether it be vpon nations, or vpon a man onely?

30 അഭക്തരായ മനുഷ്യർ ഭരണം പിടിച്ചടക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നതിനും അവർ ആളുകൾക്കു കെണിവെക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനുംതന്നെ.

Because the hypocrite doeth reigne, and because the people are snared.

31 “ഒരു വ്യക്തി ഇപ്രകാരം ദൈവത്തോടു ബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കരുതുക, ‘ഞാൻ കുറ്റവാളിയാണ്; എന്നാൽ ഇനിയൊരു അപരാധവും ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുകയില്ല.

Surely it appertaineth vnto God to say, I haue pardoned, I will not destroy.

32 എനിക്ക് അദൃശ്യമായത് എന്നെ അഭ്യസിപ്പിക്കണമേ; ഞാൻ അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും അപ്രകാരം ചെയ്യുകയില്ല.’

But if I see not, teach thou me: if I haue done wickedly, I will doe no more.

33 പശ്ചാത്തപിക്കാൻ താങ്കൾ വിസമ്മതിക്കുമ്പോൾ ദൈവം താങ്കളുടെ വ്യവസ്ഥകൾക്കനുസരിച്ചു പ്രത്യുപകാരം ചെയ്യണമോ? ഞാനല്ല, താങ്കൾതന്നെയാണ് അതു തീരുമാനിക്കേണ്ടത്. അതിനാൽ താങ്കൾക്ക് അറിയാവുന്നതു ഞങ്ങളോടു പറയുക.

Wil he performe the thing through thee? for thou hast reproued it, because that thou hast chosen, and not I. now speake what thou knowest.

34 “ജ്ഞാനികൾ ഇപ്രകാരം പറയും എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുന്ന വിവേകികൾ എന്നോടു പറയും,

Let men of vnderstanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken vnto me.

35 ‘ഇയ്യോബ് പരിജ്ഞാനമില്ലാതെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാക്കുകളിൽ ഉൾക്കാഴ്ചയില്ല.’

Iob hath not spoken of knowledge, neyther were his wordes according to wisedome.

36 ഇയ്യോബ് ഒരു ദുഷ്ടനെപ്പോലെ ഉത്തരം പറയുകയാൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ പരമാവധി പരിശോധിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ.

I desire that Iob may be tryed, vnto the ende touching the answeres for wicked men.

37 അയാൾ പാപത്തിനുപുറമേ മത്സരവും കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കുന്നു; അയാൾ നമ്മുടെ മധ്യേ പരിഹാസരൂപേണ കൈകൊട്ടുകയും ദൈവത്തിനെതിരേ വാക്കുകൾ പെരുപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.”

For he addeth rebellion vnto his sinne: he clappeth his handes among vs, and multiplieth his wordes against God.
