ഇയ്യോബ് 32

1 അങ്ങനെ തന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ താൻ നീതിമാനാണെന്ന് ഇയ്യോബിനു തോന്നുകനിമിത്തം ഈ പുരുഷന്മാരും അദ്ദേഹത്തോടുള്ള പ്രതിവാദം മതിയാക്കി.

So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he [was] righteous in his own eyes.

2 ഇയ്യോബ് ദൈവത്തെക്കാൾ നീതിമാനാണെന്ന് സ്വയം അവകാശപ്പെട്ടതുകൊണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനെതിരേ രാംവംശത്തിൽ ബൂസ്യനായ ബറഖേലിന്റെ മകൻ എലീഹൂ കോപപരവശനായി.

Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.

3 ആ മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാർക്കും പ്രതിവാദം ഇല്ല്ലാതായിപ്പോയതുകൊണ്ടും അവർ ഇയ്യോബിനെ കുറ്റം വിധിച്ചിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും അവരുടെനേരേയും എലീഹൂ കോപിച്ചു.

Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and [yet] had condemned Job.

4 അവർ എലീഹൂവിനെക്കാൾ പ്രായം കൂടിയവരായിരുന്നതിനാൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഇയ്യോബിനോടു സംസാരിക്കാൻ മുതിരാതെ കാത്തിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken because they [were] older than he.

5 ഈ മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാർക്കും ഉത്തരംമുട്ടിയതുകണ്ടപ്പോൾ എലീഹൂവിന്റെ കോപം അവരുടെനേരേ ജ്വലിച്ചു.

When Elihu saw that [there was] no answer in the mouth of [these] three men, then his wrath was kindled.

6 അപ്പോൾ ബൂസ്യനായ ബറഖേലിന്റെ മകൻ എലീഹൂ ഇപ്രകാരം സംസാരിച്ചു: “ഞാൻ പ്രായത്തിൽ കുറഞ്ഞവനും നിങ്ങൾ വയോധികരും; അതിനാൽ എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം നിങ്ങളോട് അറിയിക്കാൻ എനിക്കു ഭയവും സങ്കോചവും തോന്നി.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I [am] young, and ye [are] very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not show you my opinion.

7 ‘പ്രായം സംസാരിക്കട്ടെ, പ്രായാധിക്യമാണ് ജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിക്കേണ്ടത്,’ എന്നു ഞാൻ ചിന്തിച്ചു.

I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

8 എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യനിൽ ഒരു ആത്മാവുണ്ട്; സർവശക്തന്റെ ശ്വാസംതന്നെ, അതാണ് മനുഷ്യനു വിവേകം നൽകുന്നത്.

But [there is] a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

9 പ്രായം ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ടുമാത്രം ജ്ഞാനികളാകണമെന്നില്ല, വൃദ്ധർ ആയതുകൊണ്ടുമാത്രം ന്യായം ഗ്രഹിക്കണമെന്നുമില്ല.

Great men are not [always] wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

10 “അതിനാൽ ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു: എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക; എനിക്ക് അറിവുള്ളത് ഞാനുംകൂടി നിങ്ങളോടു പറയട്ടെ.

Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will show my opinion.

11 നിങ്ങൾ സംസാരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങൾ വാക്കുകൾക്കുവേണ്ടി പരതിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ, നിങ്ങളുടെ യുക്തി ഞാൻ അവലോകനംചെയ്തു;

Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.

12 നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കുകൾ ഞാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേട്ടു. എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ആരും ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ വാദമുഖത്തെ ഖണ്ഡിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാദഗതികൾക്കു നിങ്ങൾ മറുപടി നൽകിയിട്ടുമില്ല.

Yes, I attended to you, and behold, [there was] none of you that convinced Job, [or] that answered his words:

13 ‘ഞങ്ങൾ ജ്ഞാനം കണ്ടെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മനുഷ്യനല്ല, ദൈവംതന്നെ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഖണ്ഡിക്കട്ടെ,’ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയരുത്.

Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.

14 ഇയ്യോബ് തന്റെ വാദമുഖങ്ങൾ എനിക്കെതിരേ അണിനിരത്തിയിട്ടില്ല, നിങ്ങളുടെ വാദഗതികൾകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് ഉത്തരം പറയുകയുമില്ല.

Now he hath not directed [his] words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.

15 “അവർ പരിഭ്രാന്തരായി; അവർക്ക് ഉത്തരമായി ഒന്നുംതന്നെ പറയാനില്ല; അവർക്കു മൊഴിമുട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.

16 ഞാനിനിയും കാത്തിരിക്കണമോ, അവർ നിശ്ശബ്ദരായിരിക്കുന്നല്ലോ, ഉത്തരമൊന്നും പറയുന്നില്ലല്ലോ?

When I had waited, (for they spoke not, but stood still, [and] answered no more; )

17 എനിക്കും ചിലതു പറയാനുണ്ട്; എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം ഞാനും പ്രസ്താവിക്കും.

[I said], I will answer also my part, I also will show my opinion.

18 ഞാൻ വാക്കുകൾകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ ആത്മാവ് എന്നെ നിർബന്ധിക്കുന്നു.

For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.

19 എന്റെ ഉള്ളം, ഭദ്രമായി അടച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പാത്രത്തിനുള്ളിലെ വീഞ്ഞുപോലെ; ഞാൻ പൊട്ടാറായ ഒരു പുതിയ തുകൽക്കുടംപോലെ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Behold, my belly [is] as wine [which] hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.

20 ആശ്വാസം നേടുന്നതിനായി എനിക്കു സംസാരിക്കണം; എന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ തുറന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരം പറയണം.

I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.

21 ആരോടും ഞാൻ പക്ഷഭേദം കാണിക്കുകയോ മുഖസ്തുതി പറയുകയോ ഇല്ല.

Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles to man.

22 മുഖസ്തുതി പറയുന്നതിൽ ഞാൻ പ്രഗല്ഭനായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ, എന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവ് എന്നെ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ നീക്കിക്കളയുമായിരുന്നു.

For I know not to give flattering titles; [in so doing], my Maker would soon take me away.
