ഇയ്യോബ് 29
1 ഇയ്യോബ് തന്റെ പ്രഭാഷണം ഇപ്രകാരം തുടർന്നു:
And Job continued to take up his parable, and said,
2 “അയ്യോ! കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയ മാസങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു തിരിച്ചു കിട്ടിയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ദൈവം എന്നെ കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിച്ച ദിവസങ്ങൾ മടങ്ങിവന്നിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ,
Who will give me back months like those which are past, days like those when God guarded me;
3 അവിടത്തെ വിളക്ക് എന്റെ തലയ്ക്കുമീതേ പ്രകാശിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവിടത്തെ പ്രകാശത്താൽ ഞാൻ ഇരുളടഞ്ഞവഴികൾ താണ്ടിയ ദിനങ്ങൾതന്നെ.
When his lamp shone over my head, when by his light I could walk in darkness;
4 എന്റെ ഉൽക്കൃഷ്ടദിനങ്ങളിലെപ്പോലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സഖിത്വം എന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിനുമീതേ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയും
As I was in the days of my abundance, when the confidence of God was upon my tent:
5 സർവശക്തൻ എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുകയും എന്റെ മക്കൾ എനിക്കുചുറ്റും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നപോലെ ഞാൻ ആയിത്തീരുകയും ചെയ്തെങ്കിൽ!
When the Almighty was yet with me, when my servants stood round about me;
6 അന്ന് എന്റെ കാലടികൾ വെണ്ണയിൽ കുളിച്ചിരുന്നു; പാറകൾ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ഒലിവെണ്ണയുടെ അരുവികൾ ഒഴുക്കിയിരുന്നു.
When I bathed my steps in cream, and the rock poured out near me streamlets of oil!
7 “അന്നു ഞാൻ പട്ടണവാതിൽക്കലേക്കു പോകുകയും ചത്വരങ്ങളിൽ ഉപവിഷ്ടനാകുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നപ്പോൾ.
When I went out to the gate close by the city, when in the open place I established my seat:
8 യുവാക്കൾ എന്നെക്കണ്ട് ആദരപൂർവം വഴിമാറിത്തന്നിരുന്നു, വയോധികർ എന്നെക്കണ്ട് എഴുന്നേറ്റിരുന്നു.
Young men saw me, and hid themselves; and the aged rose up, and remained standing;
9 പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ സംസാരം നിർത്തുകയും അവർ അവരുടെ കൈകൊണ്ടു വായ് പൊത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
Princes stopped in the midst of [their] words, and laid their hand on their mouth:
10 പ്രമാണികൾ നിശ്ശബ്ദരായി നിൽക്കുകയും അവരുടെ നാവ് മേലണ്ണാക്കിനോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരുകയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
The voice of nobles was arrested, and their tongue cleaved to their palate.
11 എന്റെ പ്രഭാഷണം കേട്ടവരൊക്കെ എന്നെ ശ്ലാഘിച്ചിരുന്നു, എന്നെ കണ്ടവരൊക്കെ എന്നെ പ്രശംസിച്ചിരുന്നു,
For the ear that heard me called me happy; and the eye that saw me bore witness for me;
12 കാരണം സഹായത്തിനായി നിലവിളിച്ച ദരിദ്രരെയും ആരും സഹായത്തിനില്ലാത്ത അനാഥരെയും ഞാൻ മോചിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.
Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, yea, that had none to help him.
13 നാശത്തിന്റെ വക്കിലെത്തിയിരുന്നവർ എന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു; വിധവയുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്ന് ആനന്ദഗീതം ഉയരാൻ ഞാൻ വഴിയൊരുക്കി.
The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me; and the heart of the widow I caused to sing for joy.
14 ഞാൻ നീതിനിഷ്ഠ ഒരു വസ്ത്രംപോലെ അണിഞ്ഞു; നീതി എന്റെ പുറങ്കുപ്പായവും തലപ്പാവും ആയിരുന്നു.
I took righteousness as my garment, and it clothed me: as a robe and a mitre was justice unto me.
15 ഞാൻ അന്ധർക്കു കണ്ണുകളും മുടന്തർക്കു കാലുകളും ആയിരുന്നു.
Eyes was I to the blind; and feet to the lame was I.
16 ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടനുഭവിക്കുന്നവർക്കു ഞാൻ പിതാവായിരുന്നു; അപരിചിതന്റെ വ്യവഹാരംപോലും ഞാൻ ഏറ്റെടുത്തു നടത്തി.
A father was I to the needy; and the cause of him I knew not I used to investigate.
17 ദുഷ്ടരുടെ അണപ്പല്ലുകൾ ഞാൻ തകർത്തു; അവരുടെ പല്ലുകൾക്കിടയിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ ഇരകളെ വിടുവിച്ചു.
And I broke the cutting-teeth of the wrong-doer, and out of his teeth I cast down his prey.
18 “അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ വിചാരിച്ചു, ‘എന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽവെച്ചുതന്നെ ഞാൻ മരിക്കും, മണൽത്തരിപോലെ എന്റെ ദിവസങ്ങൾ അസംഖ്യമായിരിക്കും.
And I said then, “In the midst of my nest shall I depart hence, and like the sand shall I have many days.
19 എന്റെ വേരുകൾ വെള്ളത്തിനരികിൽ എത്തും, രാത്രിമുഴുവൻ മഞ്ഞുവെള്ളം എന്റെ ശാഖകളിൽ തങ്ങിനിൽക്കും.
My root will stand open for the water, and the dew will lodge on my boughs.
20 എന്റെ തേജസ്സ് നിത്യഹരിതമായിരിക്കും; എന്റെ വില്ല് എന്റെ കൈയിൽ എന്നും നവീനമായിരിക്കും.’
My glory will ever be new with me, and my bow will acquire fresh strength in my hand.”
21 “ജനം വളരെ പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെ എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ ചെവിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു, എന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിനു നിശ്ശബ്ദരായി കാത്തിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
Unto me men listened, and waited, and watched in silence for my counsel
22 ഞാൻ സംസാരിച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞാൽ, പിന്നെ അവർക്ക് ഒന്നുംതന്നെ പറയാൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ പതിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
After my words they made no reply, and my speech dropped on them [like dew].
23 മഴയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടിയെന്നപോലെ അവർ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി കാത്തിരുന്നു; വസന്തകാലമഴപോലെ അവർ എന്റെ മൊഴികൾ ആസ്വദിച്ചു.
And they waited for me as for the rain, and they opened wide their mouth as for the latter rain.
24 അവരെ നോക്കി ഞാൻ മന്ദഹസിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവർക്കത് അവിശ്വസനീയമായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ മുഖത്തെ പ്രകാശം അവർക്ക് അമൂല്യമായിരുന്നു.
I smiled on those that had lost their confidence; and the light of my countenance they never cast down.
25 ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വഴികാട്ടിയും നായകനുമായിത്തീർന്നു; സൈന്യമധ്യത്തിലെ രാജാവിനെപ്പോലെയും വിലപിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ആശ്വാസദായകനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിത്തീർന്നു ഞാൻ.
I chose their way for them, and I sat as chief, and dwelt as king in his army, as one that comforteth mourners.
