ഇയ്യോബ് 27
1 ഇയ്യോബ് തന്റെ പ്രഭാഷണം ഇപ്രകാരം തുടർന്നു:
And Job continued taking up his parable, and said,
2 “എനിക്കു നീതി നിഷേധിച്ച് എന്റെ ജീവിതം ദുഃഖപൂർണമാക്കിയ സർവശക്തനായ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്താണ,
As God liveth, who hath removed justice from me; and by the Almighty, who hath embittered my soul:
3 എന്നിൽ ജീവനുള്ള കാലത്തോളം, എന്റെ നാസികയിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശ്വാസം നിലനിൽക്കുന്നതുവരെയും,
All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
4 എന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ നീതികേടു സംസാരിക്കുകയില്ല; എന്റെ നാവു വഞ്ചന ഉച്ചരിക്കയുമില്ല.
Shall my lips not speak any wrong, nor shall my tongue utter deceit.
5 നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗം ശരിയെന്നു ഞാൻ ഒരിക്കലും അംഗീകരിക്കുകയില്ല; മരിക്കുന്നതുവരെ എന്റെ പരമാർഥത ഞാൻ ത്യജിക്കുകയില്ല.
Far be it from me that I should justify you; till I depart hence will I not allow [any one] to take my integrity away from me.
6 എന്റെ നീതിനിഷ്ഠയിൽ ഞാൻ ഉറച്ചുനിൽക്കും, അതു ഞാൻ ഒരിക്കലും ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ല; എന്റെ ജീവിതകാലത്തൊരിക്കലും എന്റെ മനസ്സാക്ഷി എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുകയില്ല.
I have laid fast hold on my righteousness, and I will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me [for my conduct] during all my life.
7 “എന്റെ ശത്രു ദുഷ്ടരെപ്പോലെയും എന്റെ എതിരാളി നീതികെട്ടവരെപ്പോലെയുമിരിക്കട്ടെ!
Like the wicked is [therefore] my enemy, and he that riseth up against me like a wrong-doer.
8 അഭക്തർ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ദൈവം അവരുടെ ജീവൻ എടുത്തുകളകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ അവർക്കുള്ള പ്രത്യാശയെന്ത്?
For what is the hope of the hypocrite, when he hath gained unjust wealth, when God casteth forth his soul?
9 അവർക്കു കഷ്ടത വരുമ്പോൾ ദൈവം അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേൾക്കുമോ?
Will God hear his cry, when distress cometh upon him?
10 അവർ സർവശക്തനിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുമോ? എപ്പോഴും ദൈവത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമോ?
Or can he find delight in the Almighty? can he call on God at all times?
11 “ദൈവശക്തിയെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കാം; സർവശക്തന്റെ മാർഗങ്ങളൊന്നും ഞാൻ മറച്ചുവെക്കുകയില്ല.
I will instruct you concerning what is in the hand of God: [the way] which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
12 ഇതാ, നിങ്ങളെല്ലാവരും ഇതു നേരിട്ടു കണ്ടുകഴിഞ്ഞു; പിന്നെ എന്തിനാണ് ഈ പാഴ്ച്ചൊല്ലുകൾ?
Lo! ye yourselves have all beheld it: why is it then that ye deal in such vanities?
13 “ഇതെല്ലാം ദൈവം ദുഷ്ടമനുഷ്യർക്കു നൽകുന്ന ഭാഗധേയവും നിഷ്ഠുരർക്കു സർവശക്തനിൽനിന്നു ലഭിക്കുന്ന പൈതൃകവും ആകുന്നു:
This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the portion of tyrants, which they shall receive from the Almighty.
14 അവർക്ക് എത്രയധികം മക്കൾ ഉണ്ടായാലും അവരെല്ലാം വാളിനു വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ സന്തതിക്കു മതിവരുവോളം ഭക്ഷിക്കാൻ ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.
If his children be multiplied, it is only for the sword; and his offspring will not be satisfied with bread.
15 അവരിൽ ശേഷിക്കുന്നവരെ മഹാമാരി കുഴിമാടത്തിലെത്തിക്കും, അവരുടെ വിധവകൾ അവരെയോർത്തു വിലപിക്കുകയുമില്ല.
Those of his that are left to escape will be buried by death; and his widows will not be able to weep.
16 അവർ മണ്ണുപോലെ വെള്ളി വാരിക്കൂട്ടിയാലും, കളിമൺകൂനകൾപോലെ വിശേഷവസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചാലും,
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare garments [as plentifully] as the clay:
17 അവർ ശേഖരിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവ നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ ധരിക്കും; നിഷ്കളങ്കർ അവരുടെ വെള്ളി പങ്കിടും.
He may prepare, but the righteous will clothe himself [therewith], and the silver the innocent will divide.
18 അവർ പണിയുന്ന വീട് പട്ടുനൂൽപ്പുഴുവിന്റെ കൂടുപോലെ; അഥവാ, കാവൽക്കാരൻ കെട്ടുന്ന മാടംപോലെയല്ലോ.
He buildeth his house like the moth, and like a hut that a keeper hath made.
19 ധനികരായി അവർ കിടക്കയിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു, എന്നാൽ പിന്നീട് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയില്ല; കാരണം, കിടക്കവിട്ട് കണ്ണു തുറക്കുമ്പോൾ എല്ലാം പോയ്പ്പോയിരിക്കും.
Rich will he lie down, but will not be gathered [into the grave]: one openeth his eyes, and he is no more.
20 പ്രളയംപോലെ ഭയം അവരെ കീഴടക്കുന്നു; കൊടുങ്കാറ്റ് രാത്രിയിൽ അവരെ പറപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.
Like a flood will terror overtake him, in the night a tempest will steal him away.
21 കിഴക്കൻകാറ്റ് അവരെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്നും അത് അവരെ തൂത്തെറിയുന്നു.
The east wind will lift him up, and he must be gone; and it hurleth him like a storm out of his place.
22 അതിന്റെ ശക്തിയിൽനിന്ന് ഓടിരക്ഷപ്പെടാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നവരെ അത് നിർദാക്ഷിണ്യം ചുഴറ്റിയെറിയുന്നു;
And [God] will cast [evil] upon him, and bare no pity: out of his hand [his wealth] will surely escape.
23 അത് അവരെ നോക്കി കൈകൊട്ടും; കാറ്റിന്റെ ഒരു ഊത്തിനാൽ അവരെ സ്വസ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്നു പുറന്തള്ളും.”
Men will clap their hands over him, and will hiss after him out of his place.
