ഇയ്യോബ് 24

1 “സർവശക്തൻ ന്യായവിധിക്കുള്ള സമയങ്ങൾ നിർണയിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്തുകൊണ്ട്? അവിടത്തെ ഭക്തർ ആ ദിവസങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി വൃഥാ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നതും എന്തുകൊണ്ട്?

Why are times not laid up by the Almighty? and why do not they which know him see his days?

2 അതിർത്തിക്കല്ലുകൾ മാറ്റിയിടുന്ന ചിലരുണ്ട്; അവർ കവർന്നെടുത്ത ആട്ടിൻപറ്റത്തെ മേയിക്കുന്നു.

There are that remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed them.

3 അവർ അനാഥരുടെ കഴുതകളെ ഓടിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; വിധവയുടെ കാളയെ പണയമായി വാങ്ങുന്നു.

They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow’s ox for a pledge.

4 അവർ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടനുഭവിക്കുന്നവരെ വഴിയിൽനിന്ന് തള്ളിമാറ്റുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിലെ ദരിദ്രരെയെല്ലാം ഒളിയിടങ്ങൾ തേടാൻ നിർബന്ധിതരാക്കുന്നു.

They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.

5 മരുഭൂമിയിലെ കാട്ടുകഴുതകളെപ്പോലെ, ദരിദ്രർ അന്നംതേടി വേലയ്ക്കു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; മരുഭൂമി അവർക്കും അവരുടെ മക്കൾക്കും ഭക്ഷണം നൽകുന്നു.

Behold, as wild asses in the desert they go forth to their work, seeking diligently for meat; the wilderness [yieldeth] them food for their children.

6 അവർ വയലിൽനിന്നു കാലിത്തീറ്റ കൊയ്തെടുക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടരുടെ മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിൽനിന്ന് അവർ കാലാപെറുക്കുന്നു.

They cut their provender in the field; and they glean the vintage of the wicked.

7 വസ്ത്രമില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ രാത്രിയിൽ അവർ നഗ്നരായിക്കഴിയുന്നു; ശൈത്യമകറ്റുന്നതിനുള്ള പുതപ്പ് അവർക്കില്ല.

They lie all night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold.

8 മലകളിലെ മഴകൊണ്ട് അവർ നനഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; പാർപ്പിടം ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ അവർ പാറയെ അഭയമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.

9 ദുഷ്ടർ മുലകുടിക്കുന്ന അനാഥശിശുക്കളെ അപഹരിക്കുന്നു; ദരിദ്രരുടെ ശിശുക്കളെ അവർ പണയമുതലായി പിടിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നു.

There are that pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor:

10 ആവശ്യത്തിനു വസ്ത്രമില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ അവർ നഗ്നരായി നടക്കുന്നു; അവർ കറ്റകൾ ചുമക്കുന്നെങ്കിലും വിശക്കുന്നവരായി പോകുന്നു.

[So that] they go about naked without clothing, and being an-hungred they carry the sheaves;

11 അവർ ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ ഒലിവെണ്ണ ആട്ടിയെടുക്കുന്നു; അവർ മുന്തിരിച്ചക്കു ചവിട്ടുന്നെങ്കിലും ദാഹാർത്തരായിത്തന്നെ കഴിയുന്നു.

They make oil within the walls of these men; they tread [their] winepresses, and suffer thirst.

12 മരണാസന്നരുടെ തേങ്ങൽ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ഉയരുന്നു; മുറിവേറ്റവരുടെ ആത്മാക്കൾ സഹായത്തിനായി നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ദൈവം ആരുടെമേലും കുറ്റാരോപണം നടത്തുന്നില്ല.

From out of the populous city men groan, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God imputeth it not for folly.

13 “അതിന്റെ വഴികൾ അറിയാതെ അതിന്റെ പാതകളിൽ നിൽക്കാതെ പ്രകാശത്തിനെതിരേ മത്സരിക്കുന്ന ചിലരുണ്ട്.

These are of them that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.

14 സൂര്യാസ്തമയം കഴിഞ്ഞാലുടൻതന്നെ കൊലയാളികൾ ഉണരുന്നു; ദരിദ്രരെയും ആലംബഹീനരെയും അവർ വധിക്കുന്നു; രാത്രിയിൽ അവർ മോഷ്ടാക്കളായി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

The murderer riseth with the light, he killeth the poor and needy; and in the night he is as a thief.

15 വ്യഭിചരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കണ്ണ് അന്തിമയക്കത്തിനായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ‘ഞാൻ ആരുടെയും കണ്ണിൽപ്പെടുകയില്ല,’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് അവൻ തന്റെ മുഖം മറച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു.

The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and he disguiseth his face.

16 ഇരുട്ടിൽ മോഷ്ടാക്കൾ വീട് തുരന്നുകയറുന്നു, എന്നാൽ പകൽസമയത്ത് അവർ കതകടച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പ്രകാശമുള്ളപ്പോൾ അവർക്ക് ചെയ്യാൻ ഒന്നുംതന്നെയില്ല.

In the dark they dig through houses: they shut themselves up in the daytime; they know not the light.

17 അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർക്കെല്ലാം പ്രഭാതം അർധരാത്രിയാണ്; അന്ധകാരത്തിന്റെ ബീഭൽസതകളുമായിട്ടാണ് അവർക്കു ചങ്ങാത്തം.

For the morning is to all of them as the shadow of death; for they know the terrors of the shadow of death.

18 “എന്നാൽ അവർ ജലോപരിതലത്തിലെ കുമിളകളാണ്; അവരുടെ ഭൂസ്വത്തുക്കൾ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടതാണ്, അതുകൊണ്ട് ആരും അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പുകളിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നില്ല.

He is swift upon the face of the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he turneth not by the way of the vineyards.

19 ചൂടും വരൾച്ചയും ഉരുകിയ മഞ്ഞ്, വറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്നതുപോലെ പാപംചെയ്തവരെ പാതാളം തട്ടിയെടുക്കുന്നു. (Sheol h7585)

Drought and heat consume the snow waters: [so doth] Sheol [those which] have sinned. (Sheol h7585)

20 ഗർഭാശയം അവരെ മറക്കുന്നു, അവർ പുഴുക്കൾക്കു സദ്യയാകുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടർ ഒരിക്കലും ഓർക്കപ്പെടുന്നില്ല; എന്നാൽ ഒരു വൃക്ഷംപോലെ അവർ തകർക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered: and unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.

21 വന്ധ്യയെയും മക്കളില്ലാത്ത സ്ത്രീകളെയും അവർ ഇരയാക്കുന്നു; വിധവയോട് അവർ ഒരു ദയയും കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല.

He devoureth the barren that beareth not; and doeth not good to the widow.

22 ദൈവം തന്റെ ശക്തിയാൽ പ്രബലരെ വലിച്ചിഴയ്ക്കുന്നു; അവർ സുസ്ഥിരർ ആയെങ്കിൽപോലും അവരുടെ ജീവനു യാതൊരുവിധ ഉറപ്പുമില്ല.

He draweth away the mighty also by his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.

23 സുരക്ഷിതർ എന്ന ചിന്തയിൽ വിശ്രമിക്കാൻ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ അനുവദിക്കുന്നു, അവിടത്തെ കണ്ണ് അവരുടെ വഴികളിൽത്തന്നെ ഉണ്ട്.

[God] giveth them to be in security, and they rest thereon; and his eyes are upon their ways.

24 അൽപ്പകാലത്തേക്ക് അവർ ഉന്നതരായിരിക്കുമെങ്കിലും അവർ വീണുപോകുന്നു; അവർ താഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുകയും മറ്റുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ ശേഖരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; കതിരുകളുടെ തലപോലെ അവർ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone; yea, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all other, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.

25 “അങ്ങനെയല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതു വ്യാജമെന്നും എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ അർഥശൂന്യമെന്നും തെളിയിക്കാൻ ആർക്കു കഴിയും?”

And if it be not so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
