ഇയ്യോബ് 23

1 അപ്പോൾ ഇയ്യോബ് ഇപ്രകാരം മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു:

Then Job answered by saying:

2 “ഇന്നും എന്റെ സങ്കടം കയ്‌പുനിറഞ്ഞതാണ്; ഞാൻ ഞരങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾപ്പോലും അവിടത്തെ കൈ എനിക്കു ഭാരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now again my conversation is in bitterness, and the force of my scourging weighs more heavily on me because of my mourning.

3 തിരുനിവാസത്തിലേക്ക് എനിക്കു ചെല്ലാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ; അവിടത്തെ എവിടെ കണ്ടെത്താൻ എനിക്കു കഴിയുമെന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ!

Who will grant me that I might know and find him, and that I may approach even to his throne?

4 എന്റെ ആവലാതി ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ മുമ്പിൽ ബോധിപ്പിക്കുകയും വാദങ്ങൾ എന്റെ നാവിൽനിന്ന് അനർഗളം പ്രവഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.

I would place judgment before his eye, and my mouth would fill with criticism,

5 അവിടന്ന് എനിക്ക് എന്തുത്തരം അരുളുമെന്ന് അറിയാമായിരുന്നു. എന്താണ് അവിടത്തേക്ക് എന്നോടു പറയാനുള്ളതെന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കാമായിരുന്നു.

so that I may know the words that he will answer me and understand what he will say to me.

6 തന്റെ ശക്തിയുടെ മഹത്ത്വത്താൽ അവിടന്ന് എന്നോടു വാദിക്കുമോ? ഇല്ല, തീർച്ചയായും അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുകയേയുള്ളൂ.

I do not want him to contend with me with much strength, nor to overwhelm me with the bulk of his greatness.

7 തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ നീതിനിഷ്ഠർക്ക് അവരുടെ നിരപരാധിത്വം ബോധിപ്പിക്കാം; അങ്ങനെ എന്റെ ന്യായാധിപനിൽനിന്നു ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കുമായി വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടുമായിരുന്നു.

Let him show fairness in response to me, and let my judgment reach to victory.

8 “ഇതാ, ഞാൻ പൂർവദേശത്തേക്കു പോകുന്നു, എന്നാൽ അവിടന്ന് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയില്ല; ഞാൻ പശ്ചിമദിക്കിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു, എന്നിട്ടും എനിക്ക് അവിടത്തെ കണ്ടെത്താൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല.

If I go to the east, he does not appear; if I go to the west, I will not understand him.

9 അവിടന്ന് പ്രവർത്തനനിരതനായിരിക്കുന്ന ഉത്തരദിക്കിലും അവിടത്തെ ദർശനം എനിക്കു ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവിടന്ന് ദക്ഷിണദിക്കിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞിട്ടും എനിക്ക് ഒരു നോക്കു കാണാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല.

If I turn to the left, what can I do? I will not take hold of him. If I turn myself to the right, I will not see him.

10 എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ പോകുന്നവഴി അവിടന്ന് അറിയുന്നു; അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ പരിശോധനയ്ക്കു വിധേയനായാൽ ഞാൻ സ്വർണംപോലെ പുറത്തുവരും.

Truly, he knows my way and has tested me like gold that passes through fire.

11 എന്റെ കാലടികൾ അവിടത്തെ കാൽപ്പാടുകൾതന്നെ പിൻതുടരുന്നു; ഞാൻ വിട്ടുമാറാതെ അവിടത്തെ വഴിയിൽത്തന്നെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

My feet have been following his footsteps; I have kept to his way and have not strayed from it.

12 അവിടത്തെ അധരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നുള്ള കൽപ്പനയിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ വ്യതിചലിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; തിരുവായിൽനിന്നുള്ള വചനങ്ങൾ എന്റെ അനുദിനാഹാരത്തെക്കാൾ മൂല്യവത്തായി ഞാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

I have not withdrawn from the commands of his lips, and the words of his mouth I have hidden in my sinews.

13 “എന്നാൽ അവിടന്നു മാറ്റമില്ലാത്തവൻ; അവിടത്തോട് എതിർത്തുനിൽക്കാൻ ആർക്കു കഴിയും? തിരുഹിതം അവിടന്നു പ്രാവർത്തികമാക്കുന്നു.

For he is alone, and no one is able to disturb his intention; and whatever his spirit wills, that he accomplishes.

14 തന്റെ വിധിന്യായം അവിടന്ന് എന്റെമേൽ നടപ്പാക്കുന്നു; അപ്രകാരമുള്ള പല പദ്ധതികളും അവിടത്തെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലുണ്ട്.

And when he fulfills his will in me, many other similar ones will also be present with him.

15 അതിനാൽ അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഞാൻ അങ്കലാപ്പിലാകുന്നു; ഇതേപ്പറ്റി ആലോചിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു.

And, for this reason, I have been troubled at his presence, and, when I consider him, I am approached by fear.

16 ദൈവം എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ തളർത്തിക്കളഞ്ഞു; സർവശക്തൻ എന്നെ പരിഭ്രാന്തനാക്കി.

God has weakened my heart, and the Almighty has confused me.

17 എന്നിട്ടും ഇരുട്ടിന്, എന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മറയ്ക്കുന്ന കൂരിരുട്ടിന്, എന്നെ നിശ്ശബ്ദനാക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

Yet I have not perished because of the threatening darkness, nor has gloom covered my face.
