ഇയ്യോബ് 20
1 അപ്പോൾ നാമാത്യനായ സോഫർ ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു:
Forsothe Sophar Naamathites answeride, and seide,
2 “എന്റെ അസ്വസ്ഥചിന്തകൾ ഉത്തരം പറയാൻ എന്നെ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു കാരണം ഞാൻ അത്രമാത്രം അസ്വസ്ഥനായിരിക്കുന്നു.
Therfor my thouytis dyuerse comen oon aftir anothir; and the mynde is rauyischid in to dyuerse thingis.
3 എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്ന ശാസനകൾ ഞാൻ കേട്ടു; എന്റെ വിവേകപൂർവമായ ആത്മാവ് എന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു മറുപടി പറയിക്കുന്നു.
Y schal here the techyng, bi which thou repreuest me; and the spirit of myn vndurstondyng schal answere me.
4 “പുരാതനകാലംമുതലേ നടപ്പുള്ള കാര്യം നീ അറിയുന്നില്ലേ, ഭൂമുഖത്ത് മനുഷ്യജാതിയെ ആക്കിയ കാലംമുതലുള്ളവതന്നെ,
Y woot this fro the bigynnyng, sithen man was set on erthe,
5 ദുഷ്ടരുടെ വിജയഭേരി ഹ്രസ്വകാലത്തേക്കേയുള്ളൂ; അഭക്തരുടെ സന്തോഷം ക്ഷണികവുമാണ്.
that the preisyng of wickid men is schort, and the ioie of an ypocrite is at the licnesse of a poynt.
6 അഭക്തരുടെ അഹന്ത ആകാശംവരെ എത്തിയാലും അവരുടെ ശിരസ്സു മേഘങ്ങളെ തൊട്ടുരുമ്മിനിന്നാലും,
Thouy his pride `stieth in to heuene, and his heed touchith the cloudis,
7 തങ്ങളുടെ വിസർജ്യംപോലെ അവർ എന്നേക്കുമായി നാശമടയും; അവരുടെ മുൻപരിചയക്കാർ, ‘അവർ എവിടെ?’ എന്നു ചോദിക്കും.
he schal be lost in the ende, as a dunghil; and, thei that sien hym, schulen seie, Where is he?
8 ഒരു സ്വപ്നംപോലെ അവർ പാറിപ്പോകും; പിന്നീടൊരിക്കലും കാണാൻപറ്റാത്ത വിധത്തിൽത്തന്നെ, ഒരു നിശാദർശനംപോലെ അവർ തുടച്ചുനീക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
As a dreem fleynge awei he schal not be foundun; he schal passe as `a nyytis siyt.
9 അവരെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള കണ്ണുകൾ അവരെ പിന്നീടു കാണുകയില്ല; അവർ ആയിരുന്ന ഇടം പിന്നെ അവരെ തിരിച്ചറിയുകയുമില്ല.
The iye that siy hym schal not se; and his place schal no more biholde him.
10 അവരുടെ മക്കൾ ദരിദ്രരോട് സഹായം അഭ്യർഥിക്കും; അവരുടെ കൈകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ തങ്ങളുടെ ധനം മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിവരും.
Hise sones schulen be `al to-brokun with nedynesse; and hise hondis schulen yelde to hym his sorewe.
11 അവരുടെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ യൗവനതേജസ്സു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അത് അവരോടൊപ്പം മണ്ണടിയും.
Hise boonys schulen be fillid with the vices of his yong wexynge age; and schulen slepe with hym in dust.
12 “അധർമം അവരുടെ വായ്ക്കു രുചികരമായിരിക്കുകയും തങ്ങളുടെ നാവിൻകീഴേ അവർ അത് ഒളിച്ചുവെക്കുകയും,
For whanne yuel was swete in his mouth, he hidde it vndur his tunge.
13 അതിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാൻ മനസ്സുവരാതെ വായ്ക്കുള്ളിൽത്തന്നെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്താലും,
He schal spare it, and schal not forsake it; and schal hide in his throte.
14 അവരുടെ ഉദരത്തിൽ അതു പുളിച്ചുപോകും സർപ്പവിഷമായി അതു പരിണമിക്കും.
His breed in his wombe schal be turned in to galle of snakis withynne.
15 അവർ വിഴുങ്ങിയ എല്ലാ സമ്പത്തും അവർക്കു ഛർദിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ദൈവം അവരുടെ കുടലിൽനിന്ന് അതെല്ലാം പുറത്തേക്കു വമിപ്പിക്കും.
He schal spue out the richessis, whiche he deuouride; and God schal drawe tho ritchessis out of his wombe.
16 അവർ സർപ്പവിഷം നുണയും; അണലിയുടെ കടിയേറ്റു മരണമടയും.
He schal souke the heed of snakis; and the tunge of an addre schal sle hym.
17 തേനും വെണ്ണയും ഒഴുകുന്ന നദികളും അരുവികളും അവർക്ക് ആസ്വാദ്യമാകുകയില്ല.
Se he not the stremys of the flood of the stronde, of hony, and of botere.
18 അവർ സമ്പാദിച്ചത് അനുഭവിക്കാതെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ വ്യാപാരത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള സമ്പാദ്യം അവർ ആസ്വദിക്കുകയുമില്ല.
He schal suffre peyne for alle thingis whiche he hath do, netheles he schal not be wastid; aftir the multitude of his fyndyngis, so and `he schal suffre.
19 കാരണം, അവർ ദരിദ്രരെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുകയും അനാഥരെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളയുകയും ചെയ്തു; തങ്ങൾ പണിയാത്ത വീട് അവൻ പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു.
For he brake, and made nakid the hows of a pore man; he rauyschide, and bildide it not.
20 “അവരുടെ അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തിന് അവസാനം വരികയില്ല; തങ്ങളുടെ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾക്ക് അവരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.
And his wombe was not fillid; and whanne he hath that, that he couetide, he may not holde in possessioun.
21 അവർക്കു വെട്ടിവിഴുങ്ങുന്നതിനായി ഒന്നുംതന്നെ ശേഷിക്കുകയില്ല; അവരുടെ ഐശ്വര്യം നിലനിൽക്കുകയില്ല.
`No thing lefte of his mete; and therfor no thing schal dwelle of his goodis.
22 അവരുടെ സമൃദ്ധിയുടെ നിറവിൽ, ദുരിതം അവരെ കീഴ്പ്പെടുത്തും; അതിവ്യഥ പൂർണശക്തിയോടെ അവരുടെമേൽ വീഴും.
Whanne he is fillid, he schal be maad streit; he schal `be hoot, and alle sorewe schal falle in on hym.
23 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ വയറുനിറയ്ക്കുമ്പോൾ, ദൈവം തന്റെ ക്രോധാഗ്നി അവരിലേക്കു തുറന്നുവിടും അവിടത്തെ പ്രഹരം ഒരു മഴപോലെ അവരുടെമേൽ വർഷിക്കും.
`Y wolde, that his wombe be fillid, that he sende out in to hym the ire of his strong veniaunce, and reyne his batel on hym.
24 ഇരുമ്പായുധത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവർ വഴുതി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടേക്കാം, അപ്പോൾ വെള്ളോട്ടിൻ അസ്ത്രം അവരുടെമേൽ തുളച്ചുകയറും.
He schal fle yrun armuris, and he schal falle in to a brasun boowe.
25 അത് അവരുടെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ പിൻഭാഗത്തുകൂടി വലിച്ചൂരപ്പെടും, അതിന്റെ വെട്ടിത്തിളങ്ങുന്ന മുന അവരുടെ കരൾ ഭേദിക്കും. മരണഭീതി അവർക്കുമേൽ വന്നുവീഴും;
Led out, and goynge out `of his schethe, and schynynge, `ether smytinge with leit, `in to his bittirnesse; orrible fendis schulen go, and schulen come on hym.
26 അവരുടെ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾക്കായി ഘോരാന്ധകാരം പതിയിരിക്കുന്നു. വീശിക്കത്തിക്കാത്ത അഗ്നി അവരെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കും, അവരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ അവശേഷിച്ചവയെ അതു വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയും.
Alle derknessis ben hid in hise priuytees; fier, which is not teendid, schal deuoure hym; he schal be turmentid left in his tabernacle.
27 ആകാശം അവരുടെ അനീതി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും; ഭൂമി അവർക്കെതിരേ എഴുന്നേൽക്കും.
Heuenes schulen schewe his wickidnesse; and erthe schal rise togidere ayens hym.
28 പെരുവെള്ളപ്പാച്ചിൽ അവരുടെ ഭവനം ഒഴുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകും, ദൈവക്രോധദിവസത്തിലെ ആ മഹാപ്രവാഹംതന്നെ.
The seed of his hows schal be opyn; it schal be drawun doun in the dai of the strong veniaunce of the Lord.
29 ഇതു ദുഷ്ടർക്കു ദൈവം കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഓഹരിയും ദൈവം അവർക്കായി നിയമിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഭാഗധേയവുമാണ്.”
This is the part of a wickid man, `which part is youun of God, and the eritage of hise wordis of the Lord.
