ഇയ്യോബ് 17
1 എന്റെ ശ്വാസം ക്ഷയിച്ചു, എന്റെ നാളുകൾ തീർന്നുപോയി, ശവക്കുഴി എനിക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves [are ready] for me.
2 തീർച്ചയായും പരിഹാസികൾ എന്നെ വലയംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണ് അവരുടെ പ്രകോപനം വീക്ഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
[Are there] not mockers with me? and doth not my eye continue in their provocation?
3 “ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങുതന്നെ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ജാമ്യം നിൽക്കണമേ. എനിക്കു സുരക്ഷിതത്വം നൽകാൻ മറ്റാരാണുള്ളത്?
Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who [is] he [that] will strike hands with me?
4 അങ്ങ് അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം വിവേകത്തിൽനിന്ന് അടച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിനാൽ ജയഭേരിമുഴക്കാൻ അങ്ങ് അവരെ ഉയർത്തുകയുമില്ല.
For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt [them].
5 സ്വന്തം ലാഭത്തിനായി തങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹിതരെ ഒറ്റിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നവരുടെ സന്തതികളുടെ കണ്ണു മങ്ങിപ്പോകും.
He that speaketh flattery to [his] friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.
6 “ദൈവം എന്നെ ആളുകൾക്ക് ഒരു പഴമൊഴിയാക്കി മാറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു, മുഖത്തു തുപ്പേൽക്കുന്ന ഒരുവനായി ഞാൻ തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
He hath made me also a by-word of the people; and in former time I was as a tabret.
7 വ്യസനം നിമിത്തം എന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ മങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളെല്ലാം വെറുമൊരു നിഴൽപോലെയായി.
My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members [are] as a shade.
8 നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ ഇതുകണ്ട് സംഭ്രമിക്കും; നിഷ്കളങ്കർ അഭക്തരുടെനേരേ രോഷംകൊള്ളും.
Upright [men] shall be astonished at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.
9 എങ്കിലും നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ തങ്ങളുടെ വഴികളിൽത്തന്നെ ഉറച്ചുനിൽക്കും; നിർമലമായ കൈകളുള്ളവർ അധികം ശക്തിയാർജിക്കും.
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
10 “നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും വരിക, ഒന്നുകൂടെ ശ്രമിക്കുക! നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു ജ്ഞാനിയെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല.
But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find [one] wise [man] among you.
11 എന്റെ ആയുസ്സു കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി, എന്റെ പദ്ധതികൾ താറുമാറായി. എന്നിട്ടും എന്റെ ഹൃദയാഭിലാഷങ്ങൾ,
My days are past, my purposes are broken off, [even] the thoughts of my heart.
12 പ്രകാശം ഇതാ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് ഇരുട്ടിൽ പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് അവർ രാത്രിയെ പകലാക്കിത്തീർക്കുന്നു.
They change the night into day: the light [is] short because of darkness.
13 ഞാൻ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ഭവനം ശ്മശാനംമാത്രമാണെങ്കിൽ, അന്ധകാരത്തിലാണ് ഞാൻ എന്റെ കിടക്ക വിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്കിൽ, (Sheol h7585)
If I wait, the grave [is] my house: I have made my bed in the darkness. (Sheol h7585)
14 ശവക്കുഴിയോട്, ‘നീ എന്റെ പിതാവ്’ എന്നും പുഴുവിനോട്, ‘നീ എന്റെ മാതാവോ സഹോദരിയോ’ എന്നും ഞാൻ പറയുന്നെങ്കിൽ,
I have said to corruption, Thou [art] my father: to the worm, [Thou art] my mother, and my sister.
15 എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശ എവിടെ? എന്നിൽ ആശിക്കാൻ എന്തെങ്കിലും അവശേഷിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് ആർക്കു കാണാൻ കഴിയും?
And where [is] now my hope? as for my hope, who will see it?
