ഇയ്യോബ് 13

1 “എന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ ഇതെല്ലാം കണ്ടു; എന്റെ കാതുകൾ കേൾക്കുകയും ഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it.

2 നിങ്ങൾക്കറിയാവുന്നത് എനിക്കുമറിയാം; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെക്കാൾ കുറഞ്ഞവനുമല്ല.

What ye know, do I know also; I am not inferior unto you.

3 എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ സർവശക്തനോടു സംസാരിക്കും; എന്റെ വാദം ദൈവസന്നിധാനത്തിൽ ഉന്നയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും, അതാണ് ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്.

Notwithstanding I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.

4 യോഗ്യതയില്ലാത്ത വൈദ്യന്മാരാണ് നിങ്ങളെല്ലാവരും; നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ വ്യാജവാർത്തകൾകൊണ്ട് കളങ്കിതനാക്കുന്നു!

But ye are plasterers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.

5 ഹാ! നിങ്ങൾ പൂർണമായും മൗനം അവലംബിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ! അതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു ജ്ഞാനമായിരിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

Oh that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it would be your wisdom.

6 ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ വാദം കേൾക്കൂ; എന്റെ അധരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നുള്ള വ്യവഹാരം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക.

Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.

7 നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തിനുവേണ്ടി അനീതി സംസാരിക്കുമോ? അവിടത്തേക്കുവേണ്ടി വ്യാജവാക്കുകൾ ഉച്ചരിക്കുമോ?

Will ye speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for Him?

8 നിങ്ങൾ അവിടത്തോട് പക്ഷഭേദം കാണിക്കുമോ? ദൈവത്തിനുവേണ്ടി നിങ്ങൾ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തുമോ?

Will ye show Him favour? Will ye contend for God?

9 അവിടന്നു നിങ്ങളെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചാൽ നിങ്ങൾ യോഗ്യരെന്നു തെളിയുമോ? അഥവാ, ഒരുത്തൻ മനുഷ്യനെ വഞ്ചിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവത്തെ വഞ്ചിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ?

Would it be good that He should search you out? Or as one mocketh a man, will ye mock Him?

10 നിങ്ങൾ ഗൂഢമായി മുഖപക്ഷം കാണിച്ചാൽ അവിടന്നു തീർച്ചയായും നിങ്ങളെ ശാസിക്കും.

He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly show favour.

11 അവിടത്തെ പ്രതാപം നിങ്ങളെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നില്ലേ? അവിടത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഭീതി നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ പതിക്കുന്നില്ലേ?

Shall not His majesty terrify you, and His dread fall upon you?

12 നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹദ്വചനങ്ങൾ നാശത്തിന്റെ പഴമൊഴികളത്രേ; നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിരോധനിരകൾ കളിമൺകോട്ടകൾതന്നെ.

Your memorials shall be like unto ashes, your eminences to eminences of clay.

13 “മൗനമായിരിക്കുക, എന്നെ സംസാരിക്കാൻ അനുവദിക്കുക; പിന്നെ എനിക്കു വരുന്നതു വരട്ടെ.

Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.

14 എന്തിനു ഞാൻ എന്റെ ശരീരം അപകടത്തിലാക്കുകയും എന്റെ ജീവൻ പണയപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യണം?

Wherefore? I will take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand.

15 അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ കൊന്നാലും ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിൽ പ്രത്യാശവെക്കും; എന്റെ വഴികൾ ശരിയെന്നു തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ ഞാൻ ബോധിപ്പിക്കും.

Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him; but I will argue my ways before Him.

16 തീർച്ചയായും, ഇതുതന്നെയായിരിക്കും എന്റെ മോചനത്തിനുള്ള മാർഗം. അഭക്തർ അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വരുന്നതിനു ധൈര്യപ്പെടുകയില്ല!

This also shall be my salvation, that a hypocrite cannot come before Him.

17 എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേൾക്കുക; എന്റെ പ്രസ്താവന നിങ്ങളുടെ ചെവികളിൽ മുഴങ്ങട്ടെ.

Hear diligently my speech, and let my declaration be in your ears.

18 ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം തയ്യാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ കുറ്റവിമുക്തനാക്കപ്പെടും എന്ന് എനിക്കുറപ്പുണ്ട്.

Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.

19 എനിക്കെതിരേ ആരോപണമുയർത്താൻ ആർക്കെങ്കിലും കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ? ഞാൻ നിശ്ശബ്ദനായിരുന്ന് മരണംവരിക്കും.

Who is he that will contend with me? For then would I hold my peace and die.

20 “ദൈവമേ, ഈ രണ്ടു കാര്യങ്ങൾമാത്രം എനിക്ക് അനുവദിച്ചുതരണമേ, അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയിൽനിന്ന് ഒന്നും ഒളിക്കുകയില്ല:

Only do not two things unto me, then will I not hide myself from Thee:

21 അങ്ങയുടെ കരം എന്നിൽനിന്ന് ദൂരേക്ക് അകറ്റണമേ; അങ്ങയുടെ ഭീകരതകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യരുതേ.

Withdraw Thy hand far from me; and let not Thy terror make me afraid.

22 പിന്നീട്, അങ്ങ് എന്നെ വിളിക്കൂ, ഞാൻ ഉത്തരം പറയാം, അഥവാ, ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കട്ടെ, അങ്ങ് ഉത്തരമരുളിയാലും.

Then call Thou, and I will answer; or let me speak, and answer Thou me.

23 ഞാൻ ചെയ്തുകൂട്ടിയ അതിക്രമങ്ങളും പാപങ്ങളും എത്രമാത്രം? എന്റെ ലംഘനവും എന്റെ പാപവും എന്നെ അറിയിക്കണമേ.

How many are mine iniquities and sins? Make me to know my transgression and my sin.

24 അങ്ങ് എനിക്കു തിരുമുഖം മറയ്ക്കുകയും എന്നെ ശത്രുവായി കണക്കാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത് എന്തിന്?

Wherefore hidest Thou Thy face, and holdest me for Thine enemy?

25 കൊഴിഞ്ഞുവീഴുന്ന ഇലയെ അങ്ങു ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കുമോ? ഉണങ്ങിയ പതിരിനെ അങ്ങു പിൻതുടരുമോ?

Wilt Thou harass a driven leaf? And wilt Thou pursue the dry stubble?

26 അങ്ങ് എനിക്കെതിരേ കയ്‌പുള്ളത് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; എന്റെ യൗവനകാല പാപങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം എന്നെ അനുഭവിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

That Thou shouldest write bitter things against me, and make me to inherit the iniquities of my youth.

27 അങ്ങ് എന്റെ കാൽ ആമത്തിലിടുന്നു; എന്റെ കാലടികളിൽ അടയാളംകുറിച്ച് എന്റെ വഴികളെല്ലാം സസൂക്ഷ്മം നിരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly unto all my paths; Thou drawest Thee a line about the soles of my feet;

28 “ചീഞ്ഞഴുകുന്ന വസ്തുപോലെയും ചിതലരിച്ച വസ്ത്രംപോലെയും മനുഷ്യൻ ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു.

Though I am like a wine-skin that consumeth, like a garment that is moth-eaten.
