ഇയ്യോബ് 11
1 അപ്പോൾ നാമാത്യനായ സോഫർ ഇപ്രകാരം ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു:
Then Sophar the Naamathite answered, and said:
2 “ഈ വാക്പ്രവാഹത്തിന് ഉത്തരം പറയേണ്ടതല്ലേ? ഈ വിടുവായൻ കുറ്റവിമുക്തനാകുമോ?
Shall not he that speaketh much, hear also? or shall a man full of talk be justified?
3 നിന്റെ പുലമ്പൽ മറ്റുള്ളവരെ നിശ്ശബ്ദരാക്കുമോ? നീ പരിഹസിക്കുമ്പോൾ ആരും നിന്നെ ശകാരിക്കാതിരിക്കുമെന്നാണോ?
Shall men hold their peace to thee only? and when thou hast mocked others, shall no man confute thee?
4 ‘എന്റെ ഉപദേശം കുറ്റമറ്റതും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ഞാൻ നിർമലനും ആകുന്നു,’ എന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞല്ലോ.
For thou hast said: My word is pure, and I am clean in thy sight.
5 എന്നാൽ, ദൈവം സംസാരിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ, അവിടത്തെ അധരങ്ങൾ നിനക്കെതിരേയും
And I wish that God would speak with thee, and would open his lips to thee,
6 ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ നിനക്കായും തുറന്നെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളാമായിരുന്നു; കാരണം യഥാർഥ ജ്ഞാനത്തിനു രണ്ടുവശങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ. നിന്റെ ചില പാപങ്ങൾ ദൈവം മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നുതുകൂടെ നീ അറിയുക.
That he might shew thee the secrets of wisdom, and that his law is manifold, and thou mightest understand that he exacteth much less of thee, than thy iniquity deserveth.
7 “ദൈവികരഹസ്യങ്ങളുടെ നിഗൂഢത ഗ്രഹിക്കാൻ നിനക്കു കഴിയുമോ? സർവശക്തന്റെ അതിരുകൾ നിനക്കു നിർണയിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ?
Peradventure thou wilt comprehend the steps of God, and wilt find out the Almighty perfectly?
8 അത് ആകാശത്തെക്കാൾ ഉന്നതം—നിനക്ക് എന്തുചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയും? അതു പാതാളത്തെക്കാൾ അഗാധം—നിനക്ക് എന്ത് അറിയാൻ സാധിക്കും? (Sheol h7585)
He is higher than heaven, and what wilt thou do? he is deeper than hell, and how wilt thou know? (Sheol h7585)
9 അതിന്റെ അളവ് ഭൂമിയെക്കാൾ ദൈർഘ്യമുള്ളതും സമുദ്രത്തെക്കാൾ വിശാലവും ആകുന്നു.
The measure of him is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
10 “അവിടന്ന് വന്നു നിന്നെ ബന്ധനത്തിലാക്കുകയും ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിനായി ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടുകയും ചെയ്താൽ ആർക്ക് അവിടത്തെ എതിർക്കാൻ കഴിയും?
If he shall overturn all things, or shall press them together, who shall contradict him?
11 അവിടന്നു വഞ്ചകരെ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നു; അധർമം കണ്ടാൽ അവിടന്ന് അതു ഗൗനിക്കുകയില്ലേ?
For he knoweth the vanity of men, and when he seeth iniquity, doth he not consider it?
12 ഒരു കാട്ടുകഴുതക്കുട്ടി മനുഷ്യനായി ജനിക്കുന്നതിലും വൈഷമ്യം ഒരു അവിവേകി ബുദ്ധിമാനായിത്തീരുന്നതിലാണ്.
A vain man is lifted up into pride, and thinketh himself born free like a wild ass’s colt.
13 “നീ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ ഉയർത്തുമെങ്കിൽ, നിന്റെ കരങ്ങൾ ദൈവമുമ്പാകെ നീട്ടുമെങ്കിൽ,
Rut thou hast hardened thy heart, and hast spread thy hands to him.
14 നിന്റെ കൈകളിലുള്ള പാപം നീക്കിക്കളയുമെങ്കിൽ, ദുഷ്ടത നിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ പാർപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കുമെങ്കിൽ,
If thou wilt put away from thee the iniquity that is in thy hand, and lot not injustice remain in thy tabernacle:
15 നീ നിഷ്കളങ്കതയോടെ നിന്റെ മുഖമുയർത്തും; നീ സ്ഥിരചിത്തനായിരിക്കും, ഭയപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല.
Then mayst thou lift up thy face without spot, and thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear.
16 നീ നിന്റെ കഷ്ടത മറക്കും, നിശ്ചയം, ഒഴുകിപ്പോയ വെള്ളംപോലെ എന്നു നീ അതിനെ ഓർക്കും.
Thou shalt also forget misery, and remember it only as waters that are passed away.
17 നിന്റെ ജീവിതം മധ്യാഹ്നത്തെക്കാൾ പ്രകാശപൂരിതമാകും, അന്ധകാരം നിനക്ക് അരുണോദയപ്രഭയായി മാറും.
And brightness like that of the noonday, shall arise to thee at evening: and when thou shalt think thyself consumed, thou shalt rise as the day star.
18 അപ്പോൾ പ്രത്യാശ അവശേഷിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ നീ സുരക്ഷിതനായിരിക്കും; നീ ചുറ്റും നോക്കും, നിർഭയനായി വിശ്രമിക്കും.
And thou shalt have confidence, hope being set before thee, and being buried thou shalt sleep secure.
19 നീ വിശ്രമിക്കും, ആരും നിന്നെ അസ്വസ്ഥനാക്കുകയില്ല, പലരും നിന്റെ ഔദാര്യത്തിന്റെ ആനുകൂല്യം പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചുവരും.
Thou shalt rest, and there shall be none to make thee afraid: and many shall entreat thy face.
20 ദുഷ്ടരുടെ കണ്ണോ, മങ്ങിപ്പോകും, അവർക്കു രക്ഷാമാർഗം ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല; അന്ത്യശ്വാസംവലിക്കുകയായിരിക്കും അവരുടെ പ്രത്യാശ.”
But the eyes of the wicked shall decay, and the way to escape shall fail them, and their hope the abomination of the soul.
