യെശയ്യാവ് 60

1 “എഴുന്നേറ്റു പ്രകാശിക്കുക, നിന്റെ പ്രകാശം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു, യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സും നിന്റെമേൽ ഉദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Arise, shine! for thy light is come, And the glory of Jehovah is risen upon thee.

2 ഇതാ, അന്ധകാരം ഭൂമിയെയും കൂരിരുട്ട് ജനതകളെയും മൂടുന്നു, എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നിന്റെമേൽ ഉദിക്കും, അവിടത്തെ തേജസ്സ് നിന്റെമേൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷമാകും.

For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, And gross darkness the nations; But upon thee shall Jehovah arise, And his glory shall be seen upon thee.

3 രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ പ്രകാശത്തിലേക്കും രാജാക്കന്മാർ നിന്റെ ഉദയപ്രഭയിലേക്കും വരും.

Nations shall come to thy light, And kings to the brightness that riseth upon thee.

4 “കണ്ണുകളുയർത്തി ചുറ്റും നോക്കുക: അവരെല്ലാം ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടി നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നു; നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നുവരും നിന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെ കൈകളിൽ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുവരും.

Lift up thine eyes round about and see! They all gather themselves together, and come to thee; Thy sons come from afar, And thy daughters are carried at thy side.

5 അപ്പോൾ നീ കണ്ടു ശോഭിക്കും, നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ആനന്ദാതിരേകത്താൽ മിടിക്കും; സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ധനം നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരപ്പെടും, രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്ത് നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവരും.

Then shalt thou see, and be bright with joy; Thy heart shall throb, and swell with delight, When the riches of the sea shall be turned toward thee, And the wealth of the nations shall come to thee.

6 ഒട്ടകക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളാൽ നിന്റെ ദേശം നിറയും, മിദ്യാനിലെയും ഏഫയിലെയും ഒട്ടകക്കുട്ടികളാലുംതന്നെ. അവയെല്ലാം ശേബയിൽനിന്ന് വരും, അവ സ്വർണവും സുഗന്ധവർഗവും കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തുതിഘോഷം മുഴക്കും.

A multitude of camels shall cover thee, Dromedaries from Midian and Ephah; From Sheba shall they all come. Gold and frankincense shall they bring, And proclaim the praises of Jehovah.

7 കേദാരിലെ ആട്ടിൻപറ്റം നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടും, നെബായോത്തിലെ മുട്ടാടുകൾ നിന്നെ ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കും; അവ എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ള യാഗമായി എന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ വരും, അങ്ങനെ എന്റെ മഹത്ത്വമുള്ള ആലയത്തെ ഞാൻ അലങ്കരിക്കും.

All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered to thee, And the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to thee; They shall ascend mine altar, an acceptable offering, And my glorious house I will adorn.

8 “മേഘംപോലെയും തങ്ങളുടെ കൂടുകളിലേക്ക് പ്രാവുകൾപോലെയും പറന്നുവരുന്ന ഇവർ ആര്?

Who are these that fly like clouds, And like doves to their habitations?

9 നിശ്ചയമായും ദ്വീപുകൾ എങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ മക്കളെ ദൂരത്തുനിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന തർശീശ് കപ്പലുകളാണ് മുൻനിരയിൽ, ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനായ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ആദരിക്കാനായി, വെള്ളിയും സ്വർണവുമായാണ് അവരുടെ വരവ്, കാരണം അവിടന്ന് നിന്നെ പ്രതാപം അണിയിച്ചല്ലോ.

Behold, the distant coasts shall wait for me, And the ships of Tarshish among the first, To bring thy sons from afar, And their silver and their gold with them, Because of the name of Jehovah thy God, Of the Holy One of Israel, for he glorifieth thee.

10 “വിദേശികൾ നിന്റെ മതിലുകൾ പുനർനിർമിക്കും, അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാർ നിന്നെ സേവിക്കും. എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അടിച്ചു, എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദയയാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കരുണകാണിക്കും.

The sons of the stranger shall build up thy walls, And their kings shall minister to thee; For in my wrath I smote thee, But in my mercy will I have pity upon thee.

11 രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്ത് ജനം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിനും— ഘോഷയാത്രയിൽ അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിനും; നിന്റെ കവാടങ്ങൾ എപ്പോഴും തുറന്നിരിക്കും, അവ രാവും പകലും ഒരിക്കലും അടയ്ക്കപ്പെടാതിരിക്കും.

Thy gates shall be open continually; They shall not be shut by day or by night, That the treasures of the nations may be brought to thee, And that their kings may come with their retinues.

12 നിന്നെ സേവിക്കാത്ത ജനതയും രാജ്യവും നാശമടയും; അതേ, ആ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ നിശ്ശേഷം ശൂന്യമാകും.

For that nation and that kingdom Which will not serve thee shall perish; Yea, those nations shall be utterly destroyed.

13 “എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ അലങ്കരിക്കുന്നതിന്, ലെബാനോന്റെ മഹത്ത്വം നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവരും സരളവൃക്ഷവും പൈനും പുന്നയും ഒരുമിച്ചു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവരും. അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ എന്റെ പാദങ്ങൾക്കായി ആ സ്ഥലത്തെ മഹത്ത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

The glory of Lebanon shall come to thee, The cypress, the plane-tree, and the larch together, To adorn the place of my sanctuary, That I may make the place where my feet rest glorious.

14 നിന്നെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചവരുടെ മക്കളും വണങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവരും; നിന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ച എല്ലാവരും നിന്റെ പാദത്തിൽ നമസ്കരിക്കും; അവർ നിന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ നഗരമെന്നും ഇസ്രായേലിൻ പരിശുദ്ധന്റെ സീയോനെന്നും വിളിക്കും.

The sons of thine oppressors shall come bending before thee; They that despised thee shall fall down at thy feet; And they shall call thee the city of Jehovah, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

15 “ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും നിന്നിൽക്കൂടി കടന്നുപോകാത്തവിധം നീ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളും നിന്ദ്യയും ആയിത്തീർന്നതുപോലെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നിത്യപ്രതാപമുള്ളവളും അനേകം തലമുറകൾക്ക് ആനന്ദവും ആക്കിത്തീർക്കും.

Instead of being forsaken and hated, So that no one passed through thee, I will make thee an everlasting glory; The joy of many generations.

16 നീ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ പാൽ കുടിക്കും, രാജകീയ സ്തനങ്ങൾ നുകരും; യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രക്ഷകനും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ശക്തൻ നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും എന്നു നീ അറിയും.

Thou shalt also suck the milk of the nations, And be nursed from the breast of kings; And thou shalt know that I, Jehovah, am thy saviour, That thy redeemer is the Mighty One of Jacob.

17 ഞാൻ വെങ്കലത്തിനു പകരം സ്വർണം വരുത്തും, ഇരുമ്പിനു പകരം വെള്ളിയും. മരത്തിനു പകരം വെങ്കലവും കല്ലിനുപകരം ഇരുമ്പും ഞാൻ വരുത്തും. ഞാൻ സമാധാനത്തെ നിന്റെ ദേശാധിപതികളായും നീതിയെ നിന്റെ ഭരണകർത്താക്കളായും തീർക്കും.

Instead of brass will I bring gold; And instead of iron will I bring silver, And instead of wood, brass, And instead of stones, iron; I will make thine officers peace, And thy magistrates righteousness.

18 ഇനിമേൽ അക്രമം നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു കേൾക്കുകയില്ല, ശൂന്യതയും നാശവും നിന്റെ അതിരിനുള്ളിൽ ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല. എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ മതിലുകൾക്കു നീ രക്ഷ എന്നും നിന്റെ കവാടങ്ങൾക്ക് സ്തോത്രം എന്നും നീ പേരു വിളിക്കും.

Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, Wasting or destruction within thy borders; Thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, And thy gates Praise.

19 ഇനിമേൽ പകൽസമയത്ത് നിന്റെ പ്രകാശം സൂര്യനല്ല, രാത്രി നിനക്കു ചന്ദ്രനിൽനിന്ന് നിലാവെട്ടം ലഭിക്കുകയുമില്ല; യഹോവ നിനക്കു നിത്യപ്രകാശവും നിന്റെ ദൈവം നിന്റെ മഹത്ത്വവും ആയിരിക്കും.

No more shall the sun be thy light by day, Nor with her brightness shall the moon enlighten thee: But Jehovah shall be to thee an everlasting light, And thy God thy glory.

20 നിന്റെ സൂര്യൻ ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും അസ്തമിക്കുകയില്ല, നിന്റെ ചന്ദ്രൻ മറഞ്ഞുപോകുകയുമില്ല; യഹോവയായിരിക്കും നിന്റെ നിത്യപ്രകാശം, നിന്റെ വിലാപകാലം അവസാനിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

Thy sun shall no more go down, Neither shall thy moon be hid; For Jehovah shall be thine everlasting light, And the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

21 അപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ ജനമെല്ലാം നീതിനിഷ്ഠരാകുകയും അവർ ഭൂപ്രദേശം എന്നേക്കും കൈവശമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. എന്റെ മഹത്ത്വം പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി ഞാൻ നട്ട നടുതലയും എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയുമായിരിക്കും അവർ.

Thy people shall be all righteous; Forever shall they possess the land, The scion of my planting, The work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

22 കുറഞ്ഞവൻ ആയിരവും ചെറിയവൻ ഒരു ശക്തിയേറിയ രാഷ്ട്രവും ആയിത്തീരും. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ സമയത്തു ഞാൻ അതു വേഗത്തിൽ നിറവേറ്റും.”

The little one shall become a thousand, And the small one a strong nation; I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.
