യെശയ്യാവ് 45
1 “യഹോവ തന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തനായ കോരെശിനോട് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ജനതകളെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മുന്നിൽ കീഴടക്കാനും രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ അരക്കച്ചകളഴിക്കാനും കവാടങ്ങൾ അടയ്ക്കപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെമുമ്പിൽ വാതിലുകൾ തുറക്കാനുമായി യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Thus says Jehovah to his anointed, to Koresh, whose right hand I have held, to subdue nations before him, and strip kings of their armor; to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut:
2 ഞാൻ നിനക്കു മുമ്പേ പോകുകയും പർവതങ്ങൾ നിരപ്പാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും; ഞാൻ വെങ്കലംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കവാടങ്ങൾ തകർക്കുകയും ഇരുമ്പോടാമ്പലുകൾ മുറിച്ചുകളയുകയും ചെയ്യും.
"I will go before you, and make the mountains level. I will break the doors of bronze in pieces, and cut apart the bars of iron.
3 ഞാൻ നിനക്കും നിഗൂഢ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ തരും, രഹസ്യസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ ശേഖരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സമ്പത്തും, ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു നിന്നെ പേർചൊല്ലിവിളിക്കുന്ന ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നു നീ അറിയേണ്ടതിനുതന്നെ.
I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, Jehovah, who call you by your name, even the God of Israel.
4 എന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബിനും ഞാൻ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തവനായ ഇസ്രായേലിനുംവേണ്ടി, നീ എന്നെ അംഗീകരിക്കാതിരുന്നിട്ടുകൂടി ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പേർചൊല്ലി വിളിച്ച് നിനക്ക് ഒരു ആദരണീയ നാമം നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel my chosen, I have called you by your name. I have surnamed you, though you have not known me.
5 ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു, എന്നെപ്പോലെ വേറെ ആരുമില്ല; ഞാനല്ലാതെ വേറൊരു ദൈവവുമില്ല. നീ എന്നെ അംഗീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിലും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തും;
I am Jehovah, and there is no other. Besides me, there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not known me;
6 സൂര്യോദയസ്ഥാനംമുതൽ അസ്തമയംവരെ എല്ലായിടത്തുമുള്ള ജനം ഞാനല്ലാതെ വേറൊരു ദൈവം ഇല്ലെന്ന് അറിയേണ്ടതിനുതന്നെ. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു, എന്നെപ്പോലെ വേറെ ആരുമില്ല.
that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides me. I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.
7 ഞാൻ വെളിച്ചം നിർമിക്കുന്നു, അന്ധകാരം ഉളവാക്കുന്നു, ഞാൻ അഭിവൃദ്ധി കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു, വിനാശം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ ഇവയെല്ലാം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
I form the light, and create darkness. I make peace, and create calamity. I am Jehovah, who does all these things.
8 “മീതേയുള്ള ആകാശമേ, എന്റെ നീതി താഴേക്കു വർഷിക്കുക; മേഘങ്ങൾ അതു താഴേക്കു ചൊരിയട്ടെ, ഭൂമി വിശാലമായി തുറന്നുവരട്ടെ, രക്ഷ പൊട്ടിമുളയ്ക്കട്ടെ. നീതി അതോടൊപ്പം സമൃദ്ധിയായി വളരട്ടെ; യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അതു സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Distil, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness. Let the earth open, that it may bring forth salvation, and let it cause righteousness to spring up with it. I, Jehovah, have created it.
9 “നിലത്ത് ഓട്ടക്കലക്കഷണങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ കിടന്ന് തങ്ങളുടെ സ്രഷ്ടാവിനോട് തർക്കിക്കുന്ന വെറും മൺപാത്രച്ചീളുകളായവർക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം! കളിമണ്ണ് കുശവനോട്, ‘എന്താണ് നീ നിർമിക്കുന്നത്?’ എന്നു ചോദിക്കുമോ. നിർമിക്കപ്പെട്ട വസ്തു, ‘കുശവനു കൈയില്ല,’ എന്നു പറയുമോ.
Woe to him who strives with his Maker, a clay pot among the clay pots of the earth. Shall the clay ask him who fashions it, 'What are you making?' or your work, 'He has no hands?'
10 ഒരു പിതാവിനോട്, ‘നീ എന്താണ് ജനിപ്പിച്ചത്?’ എന്നും ഒരു മാതാവിനോട്, ‘എന്തിനെയാണ് നീ പ്രസവിച്ചത്?’ എന്നും ചോദിക്കുന്നവർക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം!
Woe to him who says to a father, 'What have you become the father of?' or to a mother, 'To what have you given birth?'"
11 “ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനും അവരുടെ സ്രഷ്ടാവുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ‘എന്റെ മക്കൾക്ക് സംഭവിക്കാനിരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച്, എന്നെ ചോദ്യംചെയ്യുകയാണോ? എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെപ്പറ്റി എനിക്കു കൽപ്പനതരികയാണോ?
Thus says Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: "You ask me about the things that are to come, concerning my sons, and you command me concerning the work of my hands.
12 ഞാനാണ് ഭൂമിയെ നിർമിച്ചത്, അതിൽ മനുഷ്യനെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതും ഞാൻതന്നെ. എന്റെ കൈകളാൽ ഞാൻ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിച്ചു; അതിലെ സകലസൈന്യത്തെയും ഞാൻ അണിനിരത്തി.
I have made the earth, and created man on it. I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens; and I have commanded all their army.
13 എന്റെ നീതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടി ഞാൻ കോരേശിനെ ഉയർത്തും: അവന്റെ വഴികളെല്ലാം ഞാൻ നിരപ്പാക്കും. അവൻ എന്റെ നഗരം പണിയുകയും വിലയോ പ്രതിഫലമോ വാങ്ങാതെ എന്റെ ബന്ധിതരെ വിട്ടയയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും,’ എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.”
I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will make straight all his ways. He shall build my city, and he shall let my exiles go free, not for price nor reward," says Jehovah of hosts.
14 യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഈജിപ്റ്റിന്റെ ഉല്പന്നങ്ങളും കൂശ്യരുടെ വ്യാപാരവസ്തുക്കളും ദീർഘകായന്മാരായ സെബായരും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവരും അവ നിന്റെ വകയായിത്തീരും; അവർ ചങ്ങല ധരിച്ചവരായി, നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ഇഴഞ്ഞുവരും. നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വീണ്, ‘ദൈവം നിങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യേ ഉണ്ട്, ആ ദൈവമല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു ദൈവവുമില്ല,’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് നിന്നോട് യാചിക്കും.”
Thus says Jehovah: "The labor of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over to you, and they shall be yours. They will go after you. They shall come over in chains; and they will bow down to you. They will make petition to you: 'Surely God is in you; and there is no other. There is no other god.
15 ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ രക്ഷകാ, അങ്ങ് സത്യമായും മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവമാകുന്നു.
Most certainly you are a God who hid yourself, God of Israel, the Savior.'"
16 വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ നിർമിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിതരും നിന്ദിതരുമാകും; അവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒരുമിച്ചുതന്നെ നിന്ദിതരുമായിത്തീരും.
They will be disappointed, yes, confounded, all of them. Those who are makers of idols will go into confusion together.
17 എന്നാൽ ഇസ്രായേൽ യഹോവയാൽ രക്ഷിതരാകും അതു നിത്യരക്ഷയായിരിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ നിത്യയുഗങ്ങളോളം ലജ്ജിതരോ നിന്ദിതരോ ആകുകയില്ല.
Israel will be saved by Jehovah with an everlasting salvation. You will not be disappointed nor confounded to ages everlasting.
18 “ആകാശത്തെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു, അവിടന്നുതന്നെ ദൈവം; അവിടന്നു ഭൂമിയെ നിർമിച്ചുണ്ടാക്കി, അവിടന്ന് അതിനെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു; വ്യർഥമായിട്ടല്ല, അധിവാസത്തിനായി അവിടന്ന് അതിനെ നിർമിച്ചു. അവിടന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു, ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു, വേറൊരു ദൈവവുമില്ല,
For thus says Jehovah who created the heavens, the God who formed the earth and made it, who established it and did not create it a waste, who formed it to be inhabited: "I am Jehovah, and there is no other.
19 ഞാൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഒരു ഇരുളടഞ്ഞ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ച്, രഹസ്യമായിട്ടല്ല സംസാരിച്ചത്; ‘എന്നെ വ്യർഥമായി അന്വേഷിക്കുക’ എന്നല്ല ഞാൻ യാക്കോബിന്റെ സന്തതിയോട് കൽപ്പിച്ചത്. യഹോവ ആകുന്ന ഞാൻ സത്യം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; ന്യായമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.
I have not spoken in secret, in a place of the land of darkness. I did not say to the descendants of Jacob, 'Seek me in vain.' I, Jehovah, speak righteousness. I declare things that are right.
20 “നിങ്ങൾ കൂടിവരിക; രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു പലായനംചെയ്തു വരുന്നവരേ, സമ്മേളിക്കുക. രക്ഷിക്കാൻ കഴിവില്ലാത്ത ദേവതകളോട് പ്രാർഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് മരത്തിൽത്തീർത്ത വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ട് നടക്കുന്നവർ വെറും അജ്ഞരാണ്.
Assemble yourselves and come. Draw near together, you who have escaped from the nations. Those have no knowledge who carry the wood of their engraved image, and pray to a god that can't save.
21 എന്തു സംഭവിക്കുമെന്നു വിളംബരംചെയ്യുക, അതു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുക— അവർ കൂടിയാലോചിക്കട്ടെ. പുരാതനകാലത്തുതന്നെ ഇതു പ്രവചിച്ചതാര്? ദീർഘകാലംമുമ്പേതന്നെ ഇതു പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതാര്? യഹോവയായ ഞാനല്ലേ? ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവുമില്ല. ഞാനല്ലാതെ നീതിമാനും രക്ഷകനുമായ മറ്റൊരു ദൈവവുമില്ല.
Declare and bring it forth. Yes, let them take counsel together. Who announced this from long ago, has told it from then? Was it not I, Jehovah? And there is no other God besides me, a just God and a Savior; there is no one besides me.
22 “എല്ലാ ഭൂസീമകളുമേ, എങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കി രക്ഷപ്പെടുക; ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു ദൈവം, വേറൊരു ദൈവവുമില്ല.
Look to me, and be saved, every part of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
23 ഞാൻ എന്നെക്കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ശപഥംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു, എന്റെ വായ് പരമാർഥതയിൽ സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു അതൊരിക്കലും തിരികെയെടുക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നതല്ല: എന്റെമുമ്പിൽ എല്ലാ മുഴങ്കാലും വണങ്ങും; എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ എല്ലാ നാവും ശപഥംചെയ്യും.
By myself have I sworn, the word is gone forth from my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear to God.
24 ‘യഹോവയിൽമാത്രമാണ് എനിക്കു നീതിയും ബലവും,’” എന്ന് അവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് പറയും. അവിടത്തോടു കോപിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അവിടത്തെ അടുക്കൽ വരികയും ലജ്ജിതരാകുകയും ചെയ്യും.
Only in Jehovah, it is said of me, is righteousness and strength; even to him shall men come; and all those who were incensed against him shall be disappointed.
25 എന്നാൽ യഹോവയിൽ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലസന്തതികളും നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരായി യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിക്കും.
In Jehovah shall all the descendants of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
