യെശയ്യാവ് 43

1 ഇപ്പോഴോ യാക്കോബേ, നിന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവും ഇസ്രായേലേ, നിന്നെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പേരുചൊല്ലി വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്റേതാണ്.

But nowe thus sayeth the Lord, that created thee, O Iaakob: and hee that formed thee, O Israel, Feare not: for I haue redeemed thee: I haue called thee by thy name, thou art mine.

2 നീ വെള്ളത്തിൽക്കൂടി കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടൊപ്പമുണ്ടാകും; നദികളിൽക്കൂടി കടക്കുമ്പോൾ, അവ നിന്റെമീതേ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുകയില്ല. തീയിൽക്കൂടി നീ നടന്നാൽ, നിനക്കു പൊള്ളൽ ഏൽക്കുകയില്ല; തീജ്വാല നിന്നെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുകയുമില്ല.

When thou passest through the waters, I wil be with thee, and through the floods, that they doe not ouerflowe thee. When thou walkest through the very fire, thou shalt not be burnt, neither shall the flame kindle vpon thee.

3 കാരണം ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു, നിന്റെ രക്ഷകനായ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻതന്നെ. ഞാൻ ഈജിപ്റ്റിനെ നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവിലയായും കൂശിനെയും സേബയെയും നിനക്കു പകരമായും നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

For I am the Lord thy God, the holy one of Israel, thy Sauiour: I gaue Egypt for thy ransome, Ethiopia, and Seba for thee.

4 നീ എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ വിലപ്പെട്ടവനും ബഹുമാനിതനും ആകുകയാലും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുകയാലും ഞാൻ നിനക്കുപകരം മനുഷ്യരെയും നിന്റെ ജീവനുപകരം രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളെയും കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

Because thou wast precious in my sight, and thou wast honourable, and I loued thee, therefore will I giue man for thee, and people for thy sake.

5 ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുണ്ട്; ഞാൻ നിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ കിഴക്കുനിന്നു വരുത്തുകയും പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്ന് നിന്നെ ശേഖരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

Feare not, for I am with thee: I will bring thy seede from the East, and gather thee from the West.

6 ഞാൻ വടക്കിനോട്, ‘അവരെ വിട്ടയയ്ക്കുക’ എന്നും തെക്കിനോട്, ‘അവരെ തടഞ്ഞുവെക്കരുത്’ എന്നും കൽപ്പിക്കും. എന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നും എന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തുനിന്നും കൊണ്ടുവരിക—

I will say to the North, Giue: and to the South, Keepe not backe: bring my sonnes from farre, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.

7 എന്റെ പേരിൽ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടും എന്റെ മഹത്ത്വത്തിനായി ഞാൻ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചും ഞാൻതന്നെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയുമിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയുംതന്നെ.”

Euery one shall be called by my Name: for I created him for my glorie, formed him and made him.

8 കണ്ണുണ്ടായിട്ടും അന്ധരായും ചെവിയുണ്ടായിട്ടും ബധിരരായും ഇരിക്കുന്നവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരിക.

I will bring foorth the blinde people, and they shall haue eyes, and the deafe, and they shall haue eares.

9 സകലരാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളും ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടട്ടെ, ജനതകൾ ചേർന്നുവരട്ടെ. അവരിൽ ആരുടെ ദേവതകൾക്ക് ഇതു നമ്മെ അറിയിക്കാനും പൂർവകാര്യങ്ങൾ കാണിച്ചുതരുന്നതിനും കഴിയും? അവർ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന് സാക്ഷികളെ കൊണ്ടുവരട്ടെ, അവർ കേട്ടിട്ട്, “ഇതു സത്യംതന്നെ” എന്നു പറയട്ടെ.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this and shewe vs former things? let them bring foorth their witnesses, that they may be iustified: but let them heare, and say, It is truth.

10 “നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അറിഞ്ഞു വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിനും അത് ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിനും നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ സാക്ഷികളും ഞാൻ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ദാസരുമത്രേ,” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. “എനിക്കുമുമ്പ് ഒരു ദൈവം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല, എനിക്കുശേഷം ആരും ഉണ്ടാകുകയുമില്ല.

You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my seruant, whom I haue chosen: therefore yee shall knowe and beleeue me and yee shall vnderstand that I am: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

11 ഞാൻ, ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു യഹോവ, ഞാനല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു രക്ഷകനുമില്ല.

I, euen I am the Lord, and beside me there is no Sauiour.

12 ഞാൻതന്നെയാണു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും രക്ഷിക്കുകയും പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തത്; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലുള്ള ഒരു അന്യദേവതയും ആയിരുന്നില്ല; നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ സാക്ഷികൾതന്നെ,” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു, “ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു ദൈവം.

I haue declared, and I haue saued, and I haue shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore you are my witnesses, sayeth the Lord, that I am God.

13 നിത്യതമുതൽതന്നെ അതു ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു. എന്റെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് വിടുവിക്കാൻ കഴിവുള്ള ആരുമില്ല. ഞാൻ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അതിനെ തടുക്കാൻ ആർക്കു കഴിയും?”

Yea, before the day was, I am, and there is none that can deliuer out of mine hand: I will doe it, and who shall let it?

14 നിങ്ങളുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ബാബേലിലേക്ക് സൈന്യത്തെ അയച്ച് ബാബേല്യരായ എല്ലാവരെയും അവരുടെ അഭിമാനമായിരുന്ന ആ കപ്പലുകളിൽത്തന്നെ പലായിതരാക്കി തിരികെകൊണ്ടുവരും.

Thus sayeth the Lord your redeemer, the holy one of Israel, For your sake I haue sent to Babel, and brought it downe: they are all fugitiues, and the Chaldeans crie in the shippes.

15 ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പരിശുദ്ധനായ യഹോവയും ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവും നിങ്ങളുടെ രാജാവുംതന്നെ.”

I am the Lord your holy one, the creator of Israel, your King.

16 സമുദ്രത്തിലൂടെ വഴിയും പെരുവെള്ളത്തിലൂടെ പാതയും സൃഷ്ടിച്ച്, രഥം, കുതിര, സൈന്യം, പോഷകസൈന്യം

Thus sayeth the Lord which maketh a way in the Sea, and a path in the mighty waters.

17 എന്നിവയെ ഒരുമിച്ചു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച്, അവരെ ഒരുപോലെവീഴ്ത്തി, ഒരിക്കലും എഴുന്നേൽക്കാൻ ഇടയാകാതെ, അണച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ; വിളക്കുതിരിപോലെ കെടുത്തിക്കളഞ്ഞ, യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:

When hee bringeth out the charet and horse, the armie and the power lie together, and shall not rise: they are extinct, and quenched as towe.

18 “പൂർവകാര്യങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾ ഓർക്കരുത്; കഴിഞ്ഞകാലത്തെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചിന്തിക്കുകയുമരുത്.

Remember yee not the former things, neither regard the things of olde.

19 ഇതാ, ഞാൻ പുതിയൊരു കാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു! ഇപ്പോൾ അത് ഉത്ഭവിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ അത് അറിയുകയില്ലേ? ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ഒരു വഴിയും തരിശുഭൂമിയിൽ അരുവികളും ഉണ്ടാക്കും.

Behold, I do a new thing: now shall it come foorth: shall you not knowe it? I wil euen make a way in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse.

20 എന്റെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ജനത്തിനു കുടിക്കുന്നതിനായി ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വെള്ളവും തരിശുഭൂമിയിൽ അരുവികളും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുകയാൽ വന്യമൃഗങ്ങളും കുറുനരികളും ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷികളും എന്നെ മഹത്ത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

The wilde beastes shall honour mee, the dragons and the ostriches, because I gaue water in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse to giue drinke to my people, euen to mine elect.

21 എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ഞാൻ നിർമിച്ച എന്റെ ജനം എന്റെ സ്തുതി വിളംബരംചെയ്യും.

This people haue I formed for my selfe: they shall shewe foorth my praise.

22 “എന്നിട്ടും യാക്കോബേ, നീ എന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, ഇസ്രായേലേ, നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു മടുപ്പുള്ളവരായിത്തീർന്നു.

And thou hast not called vpon mee, O Iaakob, but thou hast wearied me, O Israel.

23 നിങ്ങൾ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ എനിക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നില്ല, നിങ്ങളുടെ യാഗങ്ങളാൽ എന്നെ ബഹുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല. ഭോജനയാഗങ്ങൾകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഭാരപ്പെടുത്തുകയോ സുഗന്ധധൂപത്തിനായി നിങ്ങളെ അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

Thou hast not brought me the sheepe of thy burnt offrings, neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I haue not caused thee to serue with an offring, nor wearied thee with incense.

24 നിങ്ങൾ പണം മുടക്കി എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി സുഗന്ധച്ചെടി കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടില്ല, ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സിനാൽ എന്നെ തൃപ്തനാക്കിയിട്ടുമില്ല. എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളാൽ എന്നെ ഭാരപ്പെടുത്തുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളാൽ എന്നെ അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തുകയുമാണ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളത്.

Thou boughtest mee no sweete sauour with money, neither hast thou made mee drunke with the fatte of thy sacrifices, but thou hast made mee to serue with thy sinnes, and wearied mee with thine iniquities.

25 “ഞാൻ, ഞാൻതന്നെയാണ് നിങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങൾ എന്റെനിമിത്തം മായിച്ചുകളയുന്നത്, നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ ഞാൻ ഇനിമേൽ ഓർക്കുകയുമില്ല.

I, euen I am he that putteth away thine iniquities for mine owne sake, and will not remember thy sinnes.

26 എനിക്കായി ഭൂതകാലം ഒന്നു പുനർവിചിന്തനംചെയ്യാം; നമുക്കുതമ്മിൽ വ്യവഹരിക്കാം; നീ നിരപരാധിത്വത്തിനുവേണ്ടി വാദിച്ചുകൊൾക.

Put me in remembrance: let vs be iudged together: count thou that thou maist be iustified.

27 നിന്റെ ആദ്യപിതാവു പാപംചെയ്തു; നിങ്ങളെ അഭ്യസിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഞാൻ അയച്ചവർതന്നെ എനിക്കെതിരേ മത്സരിച്ചു.

Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers haue transgressed against me.

28 അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ അധികാരികളെ അപമാനിതരാക്കി; യാക്കോബിനെ സംഹാരത്തിനും ഇസ്രായേലിനെ നിന്ദയ്ക്കും ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

Therefore I haue prophaned the rulers of the Sanctuarie, and haue made Iaakob a curse, and Israel a reproche.
