യെശയ്യാവ് 34
1 രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളേ, അടുത്തുവന്നു കേൾക്കുക; ജനതകളേ, ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക! ഭൂമിയും അതിലുള്ള സമസ്തവും ഭൂതലവും അതിൽ മുളയ്ക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും കേൾക്കട്ടെ!
Come near, ye nations, to hear; and ye people, hearken: let the earth hear, and all that filleth it; the world, and all things that spring forth of it.
2 യഹോവയുടെ കോപം എല്ലാ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളോടും അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധം അവരുടെ സകലസൈന്യങ്ങളോടും ആകുന്നു. അവിടന്ന് അവരെ സമ്പൂർണമായി നശിപ്പിക്കും, അവിടന്ന് അവരെ കൊലയ്ക്കായി വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
For the indignation of the Lord is [enkindled] over all the nations, and his fury over all their army: he hath devoted them, he hath given them up to the slaughter:
3 അവരുടെ ഹതന്മാരെ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയപ്പെടും, അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു ദുർഗന്ധം വമിക്കും; പർവതങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ രക്തംകൊണ്ടു കുതിരും.
And their slain also shall be cast out, and as regardeth their carcasses their stench shall ascend upward, and the mountains shall be melted through their blood.
4 ആകാശസൈന്യമെല്ലാം അലിഞ്ഞുപോകും, ആകാശം ഒരു തുകൽച്ചുരുൾപോലെ ചുരുണ്ടുപോകും; മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ ഇലകൾ വാടിക്കൊഴിയുന്നതുപോലെയും അത്തിമരത്തിൽനിന്ന് കായ്കൾ പൊഴിയുന്നതുപോലെയും അതിലെ സൈന്യമൊക്കെയും കൊഴിഞ്ഞുവീഴും.
And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together like a book: and all their host shall wither, as the leaf withereth from the vine, and as withering fruit from the fig-tree.
5 എന്റെ വാൾ ആകാശമണ്ഡലങ്ങളിൽ അതിന്റെ ദൗത്യം പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചുകഴിയുമ്പോൾ; ഇതാ, അത് ന്യായവിധിക്കായി ഏദോമിന്മേൽ, നാശത്തിനായി ഞാൻ നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ജനതയുടെമേൽത്തന്നെ പതിക്കും.
For my sword is sated in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Edom, and upon the people I have devoted to punishment.
6 യഹോവയുടെ വാൾ രക്തംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു, അതിൽ കൊഴുപ്പു പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു— ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളുടെയും കോലാടുകളുടെയും രക്തംകൊണ്ടും മുട്ടാടുകളുടെ വൃക്കകളിലെ കൊഴുപ്പുകൊണ്ടുംതന്നെ. യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ബൊസ്രായിൽ ഒരു യാഗവും ഏദോം ദേശത്ത് ഒരു മഹാസംഹാരവുമുണ്ട്.
The sword of the Lord is full of blood, it is enriched with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for the Lord hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
7 കാട്ടുകാളകൾ അവയോടൊപ്പം വീഴും, കാളക്കിടാങ്ങളും മൂരികളും വീണുപോകും. അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ ദേശം രക്തം വീണു നനയും, അതിലെ പൊടി മൃഗക്കൊഴുപ്പുകൊണ്ട് കുതിരും.
And wild oxen shall sink down with them, and steers with bullocks; and their land shall be sated with blood, and their dust enriched with fat.
8 കാരണം അത് യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഒരു പ്രതികാരദിവസവും സീയോനുവേണ്ടി പ്രതികാരംചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു വർഷവും ആകുന്നു.
For it is the day of vengeance unto the Lord, and the year of recompense for the controversy of Zion.
9 ഏദോമിന്റെ തോടുകളിൽ കീൽ കുത്തിയൊലിച്ചൊഴുകും, അവളുടെ മണ്ണ് കത്തുന്ന ഗന്ധകമായി മാറും നിലം ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന കീലായും തീരും!
And its brooks shall be changed into pitch, and its dust into sulfur, and its land shall become burning pitch.
10 രാത്രിയും പകലും അത് അണയാതിരിക്കും; അതിന്റെ പുക നിരന്തരം ഉയർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. തലമുറതലമുറയായി അതു ശൂന്യമായിക്കിടക്കും; ഒരിക്കലും ആരും അതുവഴി കടന്നുപോകുകയില്ല.
Night and day shall it not be quenched; for ever shall ascend the smoke thereof: from generation to generation shall it lie waste; no one shall for ever and ever pass through it.
11 മൂങ്ങയും നത്തും അതു കൈവശമാക്കും; കൂമനും മലങ്കാക്കയും അതിൽ കൂടുകെട്ടും. ദൈവം ഏദോമിന്റെമേൽ സംഭ്രമത്തിന്റെ അളവുനൂലും ശൂന്യതയുടെ തൂക്കുകട്ടയും പിടിക്കും.
But pelican and hedgehog shall take possession of it; night-owl also and raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out over it the line of destruction, and the weights of desolation.
12 അവളുടെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർക്ക് രാജ്യം എന്നു വിളിക്കാൻ കഴിയുംവിധം ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല, അവളുടെ എല്ലാ ഭരണാധിപന്മാരും ഇല്ലാതെയാകും.
Their nobles—no one is there they could call [to] the kingdom, and all its princes shall be no more.
13 അവളുടെ അരമനകളിൽ മുള്ളും കോട്ടകളിൽ ചൊറിയണവും ഞെരിഞ്ഞിലും വളരും. അവൾ കുറുനരികളുടെ സങ്കേതവും ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷികളുടെ താവളവുമായി മാറും.
And thorns shall spring up in its palaces, nettles and brambles in its fortresses: and it shall be a habitation of monsters, and a court for ostriches.
14 അവിടെ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾ കഴുതപ്പുലികളോട് ഏറ്റുമുട്ടും, കാട്ടാടുകൾതമ്മിൽ പോർവിളി നടത്തും; നിശാജന്തുക്കൾ അവിടെ കിടക്കുകയും അവയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി വിശ്രമസ്ഥാനം കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.
And the martens shall meet with the jackals, and one goat shall call to his fellow; only the screech-owl shall rest there, and find for herself a place of repose.
15 അവിടെ മൂങ്ങ കൂടുകെട്ടി മുട്ടയിടും, അവൾ അതു വിരിയിച്ചു കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ തന്റെ ചിറകിൻനിഴലിൽ ചേർക്കും; ഇരപിടിയൻപക്ഷികളും അവിടെ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടും ഓരോന്നും അതിന്റെ ഇണകളോടൊപ്പംതന്നെ.
There shall nestle the arrow-snake, and lay eggs, and hatch, and gather its young under its shadow: only vultures shall assemble there, every one with her mate.
16 യഹോവയുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ അന്വേഷിച്ചു വായിച്ചുനോക്കുക: ഈ ജീവികളിൽ ഒന്നും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടുപോകുകയില്ല, ഒന്നിനും ഇണയില്ലാതെ വരികയുമില്ല. കാരണം അവിടത്തെ വായാണ് കൽപ്പന നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നത്, അവിടത്തെ ആത്മാവാണ് അവയെ ഒരുമിച്ചു ചേർക്കുന്നത്.
Inquire out of the book of the Lord, and read: not one of these shall be absent, not one shall miss her mate; for my mouth it is that hath ordained it, and its breath it is that hath gathered them.
17 അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ ഭാഗം നറുക്കിടുകയും അവിടത്തെ കരം അളവുനൂൽ പിടിച്ച് അവർക്കായി വിഭജിക്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. അവർ അവയെ എന്നേക്കുമായി കൈവശമാക്കുകയും തലമുറതലമുറയായി അതിൽ പാർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it out unto them by the measuring line: for ever shall they possess it, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
