യെശയ്യാവ് 26
1 ആ കാലത്ത് യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിക്കപ്പെടും: ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉറപ്പുള്ളൊരു നഗരമുണ്ട്; ദൈവം രക്ഷ അതിന്റെ കോട്ടകളും പ്രതിരോധസന്നാഹങ്ങളും ആക്കുന്നു.
In that day sung is this song in the land of Judah: 'We have a strong city, Salvation He doth make walls and bulwark.
2 വിശ്വാസം കാക്കുന്ന നീതിനിഷ്ഠരായ ജനത പ്രവേശിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അതിന്റെ കവാടങ്ങൾ തുറക്കുക.
Open ye the gates, that enter may a righteous nation, Preserving stedfastness.
3 സ്ഥിരമാനസൻ അങ്ങയിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാൽ അങ്ങ് അവരെ പൂർണസമാധാനത്തിൽ കാക്കും.
An imagination supported Thou fortifiest peace — peace! For in Thee it is confident.
4 യഹോവയിൽത്തന്നെ എന്നേക്കും ആശ്രയം വെക്കുക യഹോവ, യഹോവതന്നെ ശാശ്വതമായൊരു പാറ ആണല്ലോ.
Trust ye in Jehovah for ever, For in Jah Jehovah [is] a rock of ages,
5 മലകളിൽ പാർക്കുന്നവരെ അവിടന്ന് താഴ്ത്തുന്നു, ഉന്നത നഗരങ്ങളെ അവിടന്നു താഴെയിറക്കുന്നു; അവിടന്ന് അതിനെ നിലംപരിചാക്കി പൊടിയിൽ വീഴ്ത്തിക്കളയുന്നു.
For He bowed down the dwellers on high, A city set on high He maketh low, He maketh it low unto the earth, He causeth it to come unto the dust,
6 കാൽ അതിനെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളയും; പീഡിതരുടെ കാലുകൾ, അശരണരുടെയും കാലുകൾതന്നെ.
Tread it down doth a foot, Feet of the poor — steps of the weak.
7 നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെ വഴി നിരപ്പായതുതന്നെ; നീതിനിഷ്ഠനായ ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങ് നീതിമാന്റെ വഴി നേരേയാക്കും.
The path for the righteous [is] uprightness, O upright One, The path of the righteous Thou dost ponder.
8 അതേ, യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ നിയമങ്ങൾക്കനുസൃതമായി ജീവിച്ച്, ഞങ്ങൾ അങ്ങേക്കായി കാത്തിരുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ നാമവും സ്മരണയും, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയവാഞ്ഛയാകുന്നു.
Also, [in] the path of Thy judgments, O Jehovah, we have waited [for] Thee, To Thy name and to Thy remembrance [Is] the desire of the soul.
9 രാത്രിയിൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; പ്രഭാതത്തിൽ എന്റെ ആത്മാവ് അങ്ങയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങയുടെ ന്യായവിധികൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ നടപ്പിലാക്കുമ്പോൾ ഭൂവാസികൾ നീതി അഭ്യസിക്കും.
[With] my soul I desired Thee in the night, Also, [with] my spirit within me I seek Thee earnestly, For when Thy judgments [are] on the earth, The inhabitants of the world have learned righteousness.
10 എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടരോടു കരുണ കാണിച്ചാലും, അവർ നീതി അഭ്യസിക്കുകയില്ല; നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെ ദേശത്ത് അവർ ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്ത്വം അവർ കാണുന്നതുമില്ല.
The wicked findeth favour, He hath not learned righteousness, In a land of straightforwardness he dealeth perversely, And seeth not the excellency of Jehovah.
11 യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ കരം ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു, എങ്കിലും അവർ അതു കാണുന്നില്ല. അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തോടുള്ള അവിടത്തെ തീക്ഷ്ണത അവർ കണ്ടു ലജ്ജിക്കട്ടെ; അങ്ങയുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കായുള്ള അഗ്നി അവരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയട്ടെ.
O Jehovah, high [is] Thy hand — they see not, They see the zeal of the people, and are ashamed, Also, the fire — Thine adversaries, consumeth them.
12 യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളും അങ്ങ് ഞങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്തുതന്നിരിക്കുകയാൽ, അങ്ങ് ഞങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനം സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നു.
O Jehovah, Thou appointest peace to us, For, all our works also Thou hast wrought for us.
13 ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങല്ലാതെയുള്ള മറ്റു യജമാനന്മാർ ഞങ്ങളെ ഭരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്, എങ്കിലും അങ്ങയെ, അങ്ങയുടെ നാമംമാത്രമാണ് ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ആരാധ്യമായത്.
O Jehovah our God, lords have ruled us besides Thee, Only, by Thee we make mention of Thy name.
14 അവർ ഇപ്പോൾ മരിച്ചവരാണ്, ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും ജീവിക്കുകയില്ല; അവർ വെറും നിഴൽ, ഇനി ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കുകയുമില്ല. അങ്ങ് അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയും നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഓർമയെ മുഴുവനായും അങ്ങ് തുടച്ചുനീക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
Dead — they live not, Rephaim, they rise not, Therefore Thou hast inspected and dost destroy them, Yea, thou destroyest all their memory.
15 യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് ജനത്തെ വർധിപ്പിച്ചു; അതേ, തന്റെ ജനത്തെ വർധിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങ് അങ്ങേക്കുതന്നെ മഹത്ത്വം നേടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ദേശത്തിന്റെ അതിരുകളെല്ലാം അങ്ങ് വിസ്തൃതമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
Thou hast added to the nation, O Jehovah, Thou hast added to the nation, Thou hast been honoured, Thou hast put far off all the ends of earth.
16 യഹോവേ, അവർ കഷ്ടതയിൽ അങ്ങയെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു; അവിടത്തെ ശിക്ഷ അവരുടെമേൽ വീണപ്പോൾ ഒരു യാചന അങ്ങയുടെമുമ്പിൽ പകരുന്നതിനേ അവർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ളൂ.
O Jehovah, in distress they missed Thee, They have poured out a whisper, Thy chastisement [is] on them.
17 യഹോവേ, ഗർഭിണിക്കു പ്രസവസമയമടുക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൾ വേദനകൊണ്ടു പുളയുകയും നിലവിളിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു അതുപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു അവിടത്തെ മുമ്പിൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥ.
When a pregnant woman cometh near to the birth, She is pained — she crieth in her pangs, So we have been from Thy face, O Jehovah.
18 ഞങ്ങൾ ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു, ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രസവവേദനകൊണ്ട് പുളഞ്ഞു, എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രസവിച്ചത് വെറും കാറ്റ് ആയിരുന്നു. ദേശത്തിന് ഒരു രക്ഷയും ഞങ്ങൾ വരുത്തിയില്ല, ഭൂവാസികൾ ജീവനിലേക്കു വന്നതുമില്ല.
We have conceived, we have been pained. We have brought forth as it were wind, Salvation we do not work in the earth, Nor do the inhabitants of the world fall.
19 അങ്ങയുടെ മൃതന്മാർ ജീവിക്കും; അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങൾ എഴുന്നേൽക്കും— പൊടിയിൽ അധിവസിക്കുന്നവരേ, ഉണർന്ന് ആനന്ദത്താൽ ആർപ്പിടുവിൻ. നിങ്ങളുടെ മഞ്ഞ് പ്രഭാതത്തിലെ തുഷാരബിന്ദുക്കൾപോലെയാണ്; ഭൂമി അവളുടെ മൃതരുടെ ആത്മാക്കളെ വീണ്ടും ജീവിപ്പിക്കും.
'Thy dead live — My dead body they rise. Awake and sing, ye dwellers in the dust, For the dew of herbs [is] thy dew, And the land of Rephaim thou causest to fall.
20 എന്റെ ജനമേ, വന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അറകളിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ച് വാതിലുകൾ അടയ്ക്കുക; ക്രോധം നിങ്ങളെ കടന്നുപോകുന്നതുവരെ, അൽപ്പനേരത്തേക്ക് ഒളിച്ചുകൊൾക.
Come, My people, enter into thy inner chambers, And shut thy doors behind thee, Hide thyself shortly a moment till the indignation pass over.
21 ഇതാ, യഹോവ ഭൂവാസികൾക്ക് അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള ശിക്ഷനൽകാൻ തന്റെ നിവാസസ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്നും വരുന്നതിനുള്ള സമയം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഭൂമി തന്റെമേൽ ചൊരിയപ്പെട്ട രക്തമൊക്കെയും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും, തന്റെ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവരെ ഇനിമേൽ മറച്ചുവെക്കുകയുമില്ല.
For, lo, Jehovah is coming out of His place, To charge the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth upon him, And revealed hath the earth her blood, Nor doth she cover any more her slain!'
