യെശയ്യാവ് 23
1 സോരിനെതിരേയുള്ള പ്രവചനം: തർശീശ് കപ്പലുകളേ, വിലപിക്കുക! ഒരു ഭവനമോ തുറമുഖമോ അവശേഷിക്കാതവണ്ണം സോർ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. കിത്തീം ദേശത്തുനിന്ന് അവർക്ക് ഇതിനെപ്പറ്റി വിവരം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
A declaration about Tyre: Howl, you ships of Tarshish; for there is neither home nor harbor; from the land of Cyprus it has been revealed to them.
2 ദ്വീപുനിവാസികളേ, സമുദ്രയാനംചെയ്യുന്നവരാൽ സമ്പന്നരാക്കപ്പെട്ട സീദോന്യ വ്യാപാരികളേ, നിശ്ശബ്ദരായിരിക്കുക.
Be silent, you inhabitants of the coast; the merchant of Sidon, who travels over the sea, has filled you.
3 സമുദ്രത്തിലൂടെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരുന്ന സീഹോറിലെ ധാന്യവും നൈൽനദീതടത്തിലെ വിളവും ആയിരുന്നല്ലോ സോരിന്റെ വരുമാനമാർഗം, അവൾ ജനതകളുടെ ചന്തസ്ഥലമായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
Upon the great waters was the grain of Shihor, the harvest of the Nile was her produce; and it became the commerce of the nations.
4 സീദോനേ, സമുദ്രത്തിലെ കോട്ടയേ, ലജ്ജിക്കുക, “ഞാൻ ഈറ്റുനോവ് അനുഭവിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, പ്രസവിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല; ഞാൻ ബാലന്മാരെ വളർത്തിയിട്ടില്ല, കന്യകകളെ പോറ്റിയിട്ടുമില്ല,” എന്ന് സമുദ്രം പറയുന്നു.
Be ashamed, Sidon; for the sea has spoken, the mighty one of the sea. He says, “I have not labored nor given birth, nor have I raised young men nor brought up young women.”
5 ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ ഈ വാർത്തയെത്തുമ്പോൾ, സോരിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വാർത്തകേട്ട് അവർ വേദനിക്കും.
When the report comes to Egypt, they will be grieved concerning Tyre.
6 ദ്വീപുനിവാസികളേ, മുറയിടുക; തർശീശിലേക്കു കടന്നുചെല്ലുക.
Cross over to Tarshish; wail, you inhabitants of the coast.
7 പുരാതനകാലം മുതലേയുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ആഹ്ലാദത്തിമിർപ്പിന്റെ നഗരമോ ഇത്? അവളുടെ കാൽതന്നെ വിദൂരദേശങ്ങളിൽ അധിവസിക്കുന്നതിന് അവളെ വഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകും.
Has this happened to you, the joyful city, whose origin is from ancient times, whose feet carried her far away to foreign places to settle?
8 കിരീടമണിയിക്കുന്നവരായ, വ്യാപാരികൾ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായ അതിലെ കച്ചവടക്കാർ ഭൂമിയിൽ കീർത്തികേട്ടവരുമായ മഹാനഗരമായ സോരിനെതിരേ ആരാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതി ഒരുക്കിയത്?
Who has planned this against Tyre, the giver of crowns, whose merchants are princes, whose traders are the honored ones of the earth?
9 അവളുടെ സർവപ്രതാപത്തിന്റെയും ഗർവത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കാനും ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലബഹുമാന്യരെയും നിന്ദിതരാക്കാനുംവേണ്ടി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അതു നിർണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Yahweh of hosts has planned it to dishonor her pride and all her glory, to shame all her honored ones of the earth.
10 തർശീശ്പുത്രീ, ഇനി നിന്നെ തടയാൻ ആരുമില്ലായ്കയാൽ ഒരു നദിപോലെ ഒഴുകി ദേശത്തിനു കുറുകെ പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളുക.
Plow your land, as one plows the Nile, daughter of Tarshish. There is no longer a marketplace in Tyre.
11 അവിടന്നു തന്റെ കൈ കടലുകൾക്കു മീതേ നീട്ടി, അവിടന്നു രാജ്യങ്ങളെ നടുക്കി. യഹോവ കനാനെക്കുറിച്ച് അതിന്റെ ശക്തികേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ തകർത്തുകളയുന്നതിനു കൽപ്പന കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
Yahweh has reached out with his hand over the sea, and he has shaken the kingdoms; he has given a command concerning Phoenicia, to destroy the strongholds.
12 അവിടന്നു കൽപ്പിച്ചു: “നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട കന്യകയായ സീദോൻപുത്രീ, നീ ഇനി ആനന്ദിക്കുകയില്ല! “എഴുന്നേൽക്കുക, കിത്തീമിലേക്കു കടന്നുചെല്ലുക; അവിടെയും നിനക്കു വിശ്രമം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.”
He said, “You will not rejoice again, oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon; arise, pass over to Cyprus; but neither there you will have rest.”
13 ഇതാ, ബാബേല്യരുടെ രാജ്യം, അവിടത്തെ ജനം ഒരു പരിഗണനയും അർഹിക്കാത്തവരായി! മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കായി അശ്ശൂർ അതിനെ നിയമിച്ചു; അവർ ഉപരോധഗോപുരങ്ങൾ പണിതു; അതിന്റെ അരമനകളെ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു അവർ അതിനെ ശൂന്യകൂമ്പാരമാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.
See the land of the Chaldeans. This people has ceased to be; the Assyrians have made it a wilderness for wild animals. They set up their siege towers; they demolished its palaces; they made it a heap of ruins.
14 തർശീശ് കപ്പലുകളേ, വിലപിക്കുക; നിങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തികേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
Howl, you ships of Tarshish; for your refuge has been destroyed.
15 അന്ന്, ഒരു രാജാവിന്റെ കാലമായ, എഴുപതു വർഷത്തേക്കു സോർ വിസ്മൃതിയിലാണ്ടുപോകും. എന്നാൽ ആ എഴുപതു വർഷത്തിനുശേഷം വേശ്യയുടെ പാട്ടുപോലെതന്നെ സോരിനു സംഭവിക്കും.
In that day, Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, like the days of a king. After the end of seventy years there will happen in Tyre something like in the song of the prostitute.
16 “വിസ്മൃതിയിലാണ്ടുപോയ വേശ്യയേ, നിന്റെ വീണയുമെടുത്തുകൊണ്ട്, നഗരത്തിൽ ചുറ്റിനടക്കുക; അതു നന്നായി മീട്ടുക, നീ ഓർമിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്, അനവധി ഗാനങ്ങൾ ആലപിക്കുക.”
Take a harp, go about the city, you forgotten prostitute; play it well, sing many songs, so that you may be remembered.
17 ആ എഴുപതു വർഷങ്ങൾക്കുശേഷം യഹോവ സോരിനെ സന്ദർശിക്കും. അവൾ തന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയുടെ പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കാൻ തിരിച്ചുപോയി. ഭൂമുഖത്തുള്ള എല്ലാ രാജ്യങ്ങളോടും അവൾ ലാഭംകൊയ്യുന്ന വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയിൽ ഏർപ്പെടും.
It will come about that after seventy years, Yahweh will help Tyre, and she will start making money again by doing the work of a prostitute, and she will offer her services to all the kingdoms of the earth.
18 എന്നാൽ അവളുടെ ലാഭവും സമ്പാദ്യവും യഹോവയ്ക്കായി വേർതിരിക്കപ്പെടും; അതു ശേഖരിക്കപ്പെടുകയോ പൂഴ്ത്തിവെക്കപ്പെടുകയോ ചെയ്യുകയില്ല. അവളുടെ ലാഭമെല്ലാം യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് വേണ്ടുവോളം ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനും നല്ല വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കുന്നതിനും ഉപയുക്തമാക്കും.
Her profits and earnings will be set apart to Yahweh. They will not be stored up or kept in the treasury, for her profits will be given to those who live in Yahweh's presence and will be used to supply them with abundant food and so they can have the best quality clothing.
