യെശയ്യാവ് 23
1 സോരിനെതിരേയുള്ള പ്രവചനം: തർശീശ് കപ്പലുകളേ, വിലപിക്കുക! ഒരു ഭവനമോ തുറമുഖമോ അവശേഷിക്കാതവണ്ണം സോർ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. കിത്തീം ദേശത്തുനിന്ന് അവർക്ക് ഇതിനെപ്പറ്റി വിവരം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
A message about Tyre. Howl, people on the ships of Tarshish! Tyre has been destroyed—nothing is left of the houses and the harbor. They heard the news from the people of Cyprus.
2 ദ്വീപുനിവാസികളേ, സമുദ്രയാനംചെയ്യുന്നവരാൽ സമ്പന്നരാക്കപ്പെട്ട സീദോന്യ വ്യാപാരികളേ, നിശ്ശബ്ദരായിരിക്കുക.

The Lord Almighty planned it, to humble its pride in all its glory, and to bring down all who receive worldly honor.
10 തർശീശ്പുത്രീ, ഇനി നിന്നെ തടയാൻ ആരുമില്ലായ്കയാൽ ഒരു നദിപോലെ ഒഴുകി ദേശത്തിനു കുറുകെ പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളുക.
Work your land, people of Tarshish, as they do beside the Nile, for you don't have a harbor anymore.
11 അവിടന്നു തന്റെ കൈ കടലുകൾക്കു മീതേ നീട്ടി, അവിടന്നു രാജ്യങ്ങളെ നടുക്കി. യഹോവ കനാനെക്കുറിച്ച് അതിന്റെ ശക്തികേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ തകർത്തുകളയുന്നതിനു കൽപ്പന കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
The Lord held his hand out over the sea and shook kingdoms. He has condemned Phoenicia, giving the order to destroy their fortresses.
12 അവിടന്നു കൽപ്പിച്ചു: “നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട കന്യകയായ സീദോൻപുത്രീ, നീ ഇനി ആനന്ദിക്കുകയില്ല! “എഴുന്നേൽക്കുക, കിത്തീമിലേക്കു കടന്നുചെല്ലുക; അവിടെയും നിനക്കു വിശ്രമം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.”
He said, “Don't celebrate any more, mistreated virgin daughter of Sidon. Go and sail over to Cyprus—however, even there you won't find rest.”
13 ഇതാ, ബാബേല്യരുടെ രാജ്യം, അവിടത്തെ ജനം ഒരു പരിഗണനയും അർഹിക്കാത്തവരായി! മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കായി അശ്ശൂർ അതിനെ നിയമിച്ചു; അവർ ഉപരോധഗോപുരങ്ങൾ പണിതു; അതിന്റെ അരമനകളെ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു അവർ അതിനെ ശൂന്യകൂമ്പാരമാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.
Look at the country of the Babylonians, this people that are not as they used to be! The Assyrians have turned it into a place for desert animals. They set up their siege towers, they demolished the fortresses, and ruined the country.
14 തർശീശ് കപ്പലുകളേ, വിലപിക്കുക; നിങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തികേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
Howl, people on the ships of Tarshish because your fortress is destroyed!
15 അന്ന്, ഒരു രാജാവിന്റെ കാലമായ, എഴുപതു വർഷത്തേക്കു സോർ വിസ്മൃതിയിലാണ്ടുപോകും. എന്നാൽ ആ എഴുപതു വർഷത്തിനുശേഷം വേശ്യയുടെ പാട്ടുപോലെതന്നെ സോരിനു സംഭവിക്കും.
At that time Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, a king's lifetime, as it were. But at the end of these seventy years, Tyre will be like the song about a prostitute,
16 “വിസ്മൃതിയിലാണ്ടുപോയ വേശ്യയേ, നിന്റെ വീണയുമെടുത്തുകൊണ്ട്, നഗരത്തിൽ ചുറ്റിനടക്കുക; അതു നന്നായി മീട്ടുക, നീ ഓർമിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്, അനവധി ഗാനങ്ങൾ ആലപിക്കുക.”
“Take a lyre and walk around the city, forgotten prostitute! Play and sing so people will remember you!”
17 ആ എഴുപതു വർഷങ്ങൾക്കുശേഷം യഹോവ സോരിനെ സന്ദർശിക്കും. അവൾ തന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയുടെ പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കാൻ തിരിച്ചുപോയി. ഭൂമുഖത്തുള്ള എല്ലാ രാജ്യങ്ങളോടും അവൾ ലാഭംകൊയ്യുന്ന വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയിൽ ഏർപ്പെടും.
After seventy years, the Lord will restore Tyre. But then she will go back to hiring herself out as a prostitute, selling herself to all the kingdoms of the world.
18 എന്നാൽ അവളുടെ ലാഭവും സമ്പാദ്യവും യഹോവയ്ക്കായി വേർതിരിക്കപ്പെടും; അതു ശേഖരിക്കപ്പെടുകയോ പൂഴ്ത്തിവെക്കപ്പെടുകയോ ചെയ്യുകയില്ല. അവളുടെ ലാഭമെല്ലാം യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് വേണ്ടുവോളം ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനും നല്ല വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കുന്നതിനും ഉപയുക്തമാക്കും.
However, her profits and what she earns will consecrated to the Lord. They won't be kept or saved up, for her business earnings will go to those who worship the Lord, to provide them with plenty of food and good clothes.
