യെശയ്യാവ് 22

1 ദർശനത്താഴ്വരയ്ക്കെതിരേയുള്ള പ്രവചനം: നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും പുരമുകളിൽ കയറേണ്ടതിന് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്തു സംഭവിച്ചു?

The prophecy concerning the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, That all thine inhabitants are gone up to the house-tops?

2 കലാപകലുഷിതവും ഒച്ചപ്പാടും അഴിഞ്ഞാട്ടവും നിറഞ്ഞ നഗരമേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹതന്മാർ വാളാൽ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവരല്ല, അവർ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ പട്ടുപോയവരുമല്ല.

Thou that wast full of noise, A tumultuous city, a joyous city! Thy slain fall not by the sword; They are not slain in battle.

3 നിന്റെ ഭരണാധിപന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും ഒരുമിച്ച് ഓടിപ്പോയി; വില്ല് ഉപയോഗിക്കാതെതന്നെ അവർ പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ശത്രുക്കൾ വളരെദൂരെ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ ഓടിപ്പോയിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ഒരുമിച്ച് ബന്ദികളാക്കപ്പെട്ടു.

All thy leaders flee together, By the bowmen are they bound; All found within thee are made captive together, Even they who have fled from afar.

4 അതിനാൽ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു, “എന്നെവിട്ടു പിന്മാറുക; ഞാൻ പൊട്ടിക്കരയട്ടെ. എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ പുത്രിയുടെ നാശത്തെച്ചൊല്ലി നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കരുത്.”

Therefore, say I, look away from me, that I may weep bitterly; Strive not to comfort me for the desolation of the daughter of my people!

5 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിൽനിന്ന് ദർശനത്താഴ്വരയിൽ ഭീതിയും സംഹാരവും പരിഭ്രമവും നിറഞ്ഞ ഒരു ദിവസം, മതിലുകൾ ഇടിക്കപ്പെടുകയും പർവതങ്ങളോടു നിലവിളിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ദിവസം വരുന്നു.

For a day of trouble, of desolation, and of perplexity cometh From the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, in the valley of vision. They break down the walls; The cry reacheth to the mountains.

6 രഥങ്ങളോടും കുതിരപ്പടയോടുംകൂടെ ഏലാം ആവനാഴിയെടുക്കുന്നു; കീർ പരിചയുടെ ഉറനീക്കുന്നു.

Elam beareth the quiver, With chariots full of men, and with horsemen; Kir uncovereth the shield.

7 നിന്റെ അതിമനോഹരമായ താഴ്വരകളിൽ രഥങ്ങൾ നിറഞ്ഞു; കുതിരച്ചേവകർ നഗരകവാടങ്ങളിൽ അണിനിരന്നു.

Thy fairest valleys, [[O Jerusalem, ]] are full of chariots; The horsemen set themselves in array against the gate;

8 അവിടന്ന് യെഹൂദയുടെ പ്രതിരോധം നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു, അന്നു നിങ്ങൾ വനസൗധത്തിലെ ആയുധങ്ങൾ നോക്കി.

The veil of Judah is torn from her. But in such a day ye look to the armor of the house of the forest;

9 ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിന്റെ കോട്ടമതിലുകളിൽ വിള്ളലുകൾ നിരവധിയെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു; താഴത്തെ കുളത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ വെള്ളം കെട്ടിനിർത്തി.

Ye mark how many are the breaches of the city of David, And collect the waters of the lower pool;

10 നിങ്ങൾ ജെറുശലേമിലെ വീടുകൾ എണ്ണിനോക്കി, കോട്ട ബലപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിന് നിങ്ങൾ വീടുകൾ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

Ye number the houses of Jerusalem, And ye break down the houses to prepare the wall;

11 പഴയ കുളത്തിലെ ജലത്തിനായി നിങ്ങൾ രണ്ടു മതിലുകൾക്കിടയിൽ ഒരു ജലാശയമുണ്ടാക്കി, എങ്കിലും അതിനെ നിർമിച്ചവനിലേക്കു നിങ്ങൾ തിരിയുകയോ വളരെക്കാലംമുമ്പേ അത് ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്തവനെപ്പറ്റി നിങ്ങൾ ചിന്തിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തില്ല.

Ye make a reservoir between the two walls for the waters of the old pool; But ye look not to Him who hath done this; Ye regard not Him that hath prepared this from afar.

12 കർത്താവ്, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, ആ ദിവസം നിങ്ങളെ കരയുന്നതിനും വിലപിക്കുന്നതിനും ശിരോമുണ്ഡനംചെയ്ത് ചാക്കുശീലധരിക്കുന്നതിനും ആഹ്വാനംചെയ്തു,

The Lord, Jehovah of hosts, calleth you this day To weeping and to lamentation, To baldness and to girding with sackcloth.

13 എന്നാൽ അതിനുപകരം നിങ്ങൾ ആഹ്ലാദിച്ചു തിമിർത്തു; കന്നുകാലികളെ കശാപ്പുചെയ്ത് ആടിനെ അറത്ത് മാംസം ഭക്ഷിച്ചു വീഞ്ഞു പാനംചെയ്തു. “നമുക്കു തിന്നുകുടിക്കാം, നാളെ നാം മരിക്കുമല്ലോ,” എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു!

But, behold, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating flesh and drinking wine! “Let us eat and drink, For to-morrow we die!”

14 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഞാൻ കേൾക്കുംവിധം എനിക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയത്: “നിങ്ങൾ മരിക്കുന്ന ദിവസംവരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഈ പാപത്തിന് പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല,” എന്ന് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Therefore it hath been revealed in my ears by Jehovah of hosts; “This iniquity shall not be forgiven you, till ye die,” Saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.

15 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ്, ഇപ്രകാരം കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു: “നീ പോയി, കാര്യസ്ഥനും കൊട്ടാരം ഭരണാധിപനുമായ ശെബ്നയോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുക:

Thus saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts: Go in to this steward, To Shebna, who is over the household, and say,

16 നീ ഇവിടെ എന്താണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്? ഇവിടെ നിനക്കുവേണ്ടി ഒരു കല്ലറ വെട്ടുന്നതിന് ആരാണ് നിനക്ക് അനുമതി നൽകിയത്? ഉയർന്നസ്ഥാനത്ത് നീ കല്ലറ വെട്ടുന്നു; പാറയിൽ ഒരു പാർപ്പിടം നിർമിക്കുന്നു.

What hast thou here, and whom hast thou here, That thou here hewest thee out a sepulchre, —That thou hewest out thy sepulchre on high, And gravest out a habitation for thyself in the rock?

17 “കരുതിയിരിക്കുക, യഹോവ നിന്നെ താഴോട്ട് ചുഴറ്റി എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും, അവിടന്നു നിന്നെ ബലമായി പിടിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നു.

Behold, Jehovah will cast thee headlong with a mighty thrust;

18 യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഒരു പന്തുപോലെ ചുരുട്ടിയെടുത്ത് വളരെ വിശാലമായൊരു രാജ്യത്തേക്ക് ഉരുട്ടിക്കളയും, അവിടെ നീ മരിക്കും. നീ അഭിമാനംകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന നിന്റെ രഥങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന് ഒരു ലജ്ജയായി മാറും.

He will violently roll thee together like a ball; Like a ball will he hurl thee into a wide country. There shalt thou die; And there shall be thy splendid chariots, Thou disgrace of the house of thy lord!

19 നിന്റെ ഉദ്യോഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സ്ഥാനഭ്രഷ്ടനാക്കും നിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് നീ നീക്കപ്പെടും.

I will drive thee from thy post, And from thy station I will pull thee down.

20 “ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഹിൽക്കിയാവിന്റെ മകനായ എല്യാക്കീമിനെ ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തും.

In that day I will call my servant, Even Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah;

21 അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അങ്കി ധരിപ്പിക്കും; നിന്റെ അരക്കച്ചകൊണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അര കെട്ടും. നിന്റെ അധികാരം ഞാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു നൽകും. ജെറുശലേംനിവാസികൾക്കും യെഹൂദാജനത്തിനും അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു പിതാവായിത്തീരും.

I will clothe him with thy robe, And bind thy girdle around him; Thy government will I commit to his hand, And he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, And to the house of Judah.

22 ഞാൻ ദാവീദുഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ താക്കോൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ തോളിൽ വെക്കും; അദ്ദേഹം തുറക്കുന്നത് അടയ്ക്കാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിയുകയില്ല, അദ്ദേഹം അടയ്ക്കുന്നത് തുറക്കാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിയുകയുമില്ല.

I will lay the key of the house of David upon his shoulder; He shall open, and none shall shut, And he shall shut, and none shall open.

23 ഉറപ്പുള്ള സ്ഥലത്ത് ഒരു ആണിപോലെ ഞാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തറയ്ക്കും; തന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന് അദ്ദേഹം മഹത്ത്വമുള്ള ഒരു സിംഹാസനം ആയിത്തീരും.

I will fasten him as a peg in a sure place, And he shall be a glorious seat for his father's house.

24 അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ മഹത്ത്വവും അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെമേൽ തൂക്കിയിടും; സന്തതിയെയും പിൻഗാമികളെയും—കിണ്ണംമുതൽ ഭരണിവരെയുള്ള സകലചെറുപാത്രങ്ങളെയും തന്നെ.”

Upon him shall hang all the glory of his father's house, The offspring and the offshoots; Every small vessel, from the goblet even to all the pitchers.

25 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു, “അന്നാളിൽ, ഉറപ്പുള്ള സ്ഥലത്തു തറച്ച ആണി ഇളകിപ്പോകും, അതു മുറിക്കപ്പെട്ട് താഴെവീഴും, അതിന്മേൽ തൂങ്ങുന്ന ഭാരവും വീണുപോകും.” യഹോവയല്ലോ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, The peg that was once fastened in a sure place shall be moved; It shall be cut down, and fall, And the burden which was upon it shall come to the ground. For Jehovah hath said it.
