യെശയ്യാവ് 18

1 കൂശിലെ നദികൾക്കപ്പുറം ചിറകടി ശബ്ദമുയർത്തുന്ന ദേശമേ!

Ho! land of the sounding of wings, on the other side of the rivers of Ethiopia:

2 കടൽമാർഗം ഞാങ്ങണയിൽ നിർമിച്ച ചങ്ങാടങ്ങളിൽ സ്ഥാനപതികളെ അയയ്ക്കുന്ന ദേശമേ! നിനക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം! വേഗമേറിയ സന്ദേശവാഹകരേ, ദീർഘകായരും മൃദുചർമികളുമായ ജനങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തേക്കു പോകുക, അടുത്തും അകലെയുമുള്ളവർ ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന ജനങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക്; അക്രമകാരികളും വിചിത്രഭാഷസംസാരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ അടുത്തേക്കു പോകുക, നദികളാൽ വിഭജിക്കപ്പെട്ട ദേശത്തു വസിക്കുന്നവരുടെ അടുത്തേക്കുതന്നെ.

Which sends its representatives by the sea, even in ships of papyrus on the waters. Go back quickly, O representatives, to a nation tall and smooth, to a people causing fear through all their history; a strong nation, crushing down its haters, whose land is cut through by rivers.

3 ഭൂമിയിലെ നിവാസികളും ഭൂതലത്തിൽ പാർക്കുന്നവരുമായ എല്ലാവരുമേ, മലമുകളിൽ കൊടി ഉയർത്തുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ അതു കാണും, ഒരു കാഹളം മുഴങ്ങുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ അതു കേൾക്കും.

All you peoples of the world, and you who are living on the earth, when a flag is lifted up on the mountains, give attention; and when the horn is sounded, give ear.

4 യഹോവ എന്നോട് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: “മധ്യാഹ്നസൂര്യന്റെ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന ചൂടുപോലെ, കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്തെ ചൂടിലെ തുഷാരമേഘംപോലെ, ഞാൻ എന്റെ നിവാസസ്ഥാനത്തു നിശ്ശബ്ദനായിരുന്നുകൊണ്ടു നിരീക്ഷിക്കും.”

For this is what the Lord has said to me: I will be quiet, watching from my place; like the clear heat when the sun is shining, like a mist of dew in the heat of summer.

6 മലയിലെ ഇരപിടിയൻപക്ഷികൾക്കും വന്യമൃഗങ്ങൾക്കുംവേണ്ടി അവ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; കഴുകന്മാർ അവകൊണ്ട് വേനൽക്കാലംമുഴുവനും, വന്യമൃഗങ്ങൾ ശീതകാലംമുഴുവനും ഉപജീവിക്കും.

They will be for the birds of the mountains, and for the beasts of the earth: the birds will come down on them in the summer, and the beasts of the earth in the winter.

7 ആ കാലത്ത്, ദീർഘകായരും മൃദുചർമികളുമായ ജനങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തുനിന്ന്, അടുത്തും അകലെയുമുള്ളവർ ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന ജനങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തുനിന്ന്; അക്രമകാരികളും വിചിത്രഭാഷസംസാരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ അടുത്തുനിന്ന്, നദികളാൽ വിഭജിക്കപ്പെട്ട ദേശത്തു വസിക്കുന്നവരുടെ അടുത്തുനിന്നുതന്നെ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വഹിക്കുന്ന സീയോൻഗിരിയിലേക്ക് അവർ കാഴ്ച കൊണ്ടുവരും.

In that time an offering will be made to the Lord of armies from a people tall and smooth, causing fear through all their history; a strong nation, crushing down its haters, whose land is cut through by rivers, an offering taken to the place of the name of the Lord of armies, even Mount Zion.
