യെശയ്യാവ് 10
1 ദരിദ്രരുടെ അവകാശങ്ങൾ അപഹരിക്കുന്നതിനും എന്റെ ജനത്തിൽ അടിച്ചമർത്തപ്പെട്ടവർക്കു നീതി നിഷേധിക്കുന്നതിനും വിധവകളെ അവരുടെ ഇരയാക്കുന്നതിനും അനാഥരെ കൊള്ളയിടുന്നതിനുംവേണ്ടി ന്യായമല്ലാത്ത നിയമങ്ങൾ ആവിഷ്കരിക്കുന്നവർക്കും അടിച്ചമർത്തുന്ന ഉത്തരവുകൾ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നവർക്കും അയ്യോ, കഷ്ടം!
Woe vnto them that decree wicked decrees, and write grieuous things,
To keepe backe ye poore from iudgement, and to take away the iudgement of the poore of my people, that widowes may be their pray, and that they may spoyle the fatherlesse.
3 ശിക്ഷാവിധിയുടെ ദിവസത്തിൽ, ദൂരെനിന്നും നാശം വന്നുചേരുമ്പോൾ, നിങ്ങൾ എന്തുചെയ്യും? സഹായത്തിനായി ആരുടെ അടുത്തേക്കു നിങ്ങൾ ഓടിച്ചെല്ലും? നിങ്ങളുടെ ധനം നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ സൂക്ഷിക്കും?
What will ye doe nowe in the day of visitation, and of destruction, which shall come from farre? to whom will ye flee for helpe? and where will ye leaue your glorie?
4 ബന്ധിതരുടെ ഇടയിൽ താണുവീണ് അപേക്ഷിക്കുകയോ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ വീഴുകയോ അല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു മാർഗവും അവശേഷിക്കുകയില്ല. ഇതൊന്നുകൊണ്ടും അവിടത്തെ കോപം നീങ്ങിപ്പോയിട്ടില്ല, അവിടത്തെ കൈ ഇപ്പോഴും ഉയർന്നുതന്നെയിരിക്കുന്നു.
Without me euery one shall fall among them that are bound, and they shall fall downe among the slayne: yet for all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
5 “എന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ ദണ്ഡായ അശ്ശൂരിന് അയ്യോ, കഷ്ടം! എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിന്റെ ഗദ അവരുടെ കൈയിൽ ആണ്.
O Asshur, the rodde of my wrath: and the staffe in their hands is mine indignation.
6 അഭക്തരായ ഒരു ജനതയ്ക്കെതിരേ ഞാൻ അവനെ അയയ്ക്കുന്നു, എന്റെ കോപത്തിനിരയായ ജനത്തിന് എതിരേതന്നെ, കൊള്ളയിടുന്നതിനും കവർച്ചചെയ്യുന്നതിനും തെരുവിലെ ചെളിപോലെ അവരെ ചവിട്ടിമെതിക്കുന്നതിനുംതന്നെ.
I will sende him to a dissembling nation, and I will giue him a charge against the people of my wrath to take the spoyle and to take the pray, and to treade them vnder feete like the mire in the streete.
7 എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശ്യം അതല്ല, അവന്റെ മനസ്സിലുള്ളതും അതല്ല; അവന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യം നശീകരണമാണ്, അനേകം ജനതകളെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുന്നതത്രേ അവന്റെ താത്പര്യം.
But he thinketh not so, neither doeth his heart esteeme it so: but he imagineth to destroy and to cut off not a fewe nations.
8 അവൻ പറയുന്നു, ‘എന്റെ സൈന്യാധിപന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും രാജാക്കന്മാർ അല്ലേ?
For he sayeth, Are not my princes altogether Kings?
9 കൽനെ കർക്കെമീശുപോലെയല്ലേ? ഹമാത്ത് അർപ്പാദുപോലെയും, ശമര്യ ദമസ്കോസ്പോലെയും അല്ലേ?
Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus?
10 എന്റെ കൈ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ പിടിച്ചടക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു, ജെറുശലേമിലും ശമര്യയിലും ഉള്ളവയെക്കാൾ വലിയ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടുകൂടിയ രാജ്യങ്ങൾത്തന്നെ—
Like as mine hand hath founde the kingdomes of the idoles, seeing their idoles were aboue Ierusalem, and aboue Samaria:
11 ശമര്യയോടും അവളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ, ജെറുശലേമിനോടും അവളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടും ഞാൻ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതല്ലേ?’”
Shall not I, as I haue done to Samaria, and to the idoles thereof, so doe to Ierusalem and to the idoles thereof?
12 സീയോൻപർവതത്തിലും ജെറുശലേമിലും കർത്താവു തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തുകഴിയുമ്പോൾ, “ഞാൻ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിനെ, അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ തന്നിഷ്ടത്തോടുകൂടിയ അഹന്തയും കണ്ണുകളിലെ അഹങ്കാരം നിറഞ്ഞ നോട്ടവും, ശിക്ഷിക്കും.
But when the Lord hath accomplished all his worke vpon mount Zion and Ierusalem, I will visite the fruite of the proude heart of the King of Asshur, and his glorious and proud lookes,
13 അവൻ പറയുന്നു: “‘എന്റെ കരബലംകൊണ്ടാണ് ഞാനിതു ചെയ്തത്; എന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്താലും, കാരണം എനിക്ക് അറിവുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഞാൻ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ അതിർത്തികൾ നീക്കംചെയ്യുകയും അവരുടെ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ കൊള്ളയടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു; ഒരു പരാക്രമശാലിയെപ്പോലെ അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരെ ഞാൻ കീഴ്പ്പെടുത്തി.
Because he said, By ye power of mine owne hand haue I done it, and by my wisdome, because I am wise: therefore I haue remooued the borders of the people, and haue spoyled their treasures, and haue pulled downe the inhabitants like a valiant man.
14 പക്ഷിക്കൂട്ടിൽനിന്ന് എന്നതുപോലെ, എന്റെ കരം രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്ത് അപഹരിച്ചു; ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ട മുട്ടകൾ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഞാൻ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ മുഴുവനും പെറുക്കിയെടുത്തു; ചിറകടിക്കുന്നതിനോ വായ് തുറന്നു ചിലയ്ക്കുന്നതിനോ ആർക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല.’”
And mine hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people, and as one gathereth egges that are left, so haue I gathered all the earth: and there was none to mooue the wing or to open the mouth, or to whisper.
15 വെട്ടുന്നവനോടു കോടാലി വമ്പു പറയുമോ? അറക്കുന്നവനോട് ഈർച്ചവാൾ വീമ്പടിക്കുമോ? വടി അത് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവനെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ഗദ മരമല്ലാത്തവനെ ഉയർത്തുന്നതുപോലെയും ആണ്.
Shall the axe boast it selfe against him that heweth therewith? or shall the sawe exalt it selfe against him that moueth it? as if the rod shoulde lift vp it selfe against him that taketh it vp, or the staffe should exalt it selfe, as it were no wood.
16 അതുകൊണ്ട്, കർത്താവ്, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, കരുത്തരായ യോദ്ധാക്കളുടെമേൽ ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കുന്ന രോഗം അയയ്ക്കും; അവരുടെ ആഡംബരത്തിൻകീഴേ അഗ്നിജ്വാലയായിമാറുന്ന ഒരു തീ കൊളുത്തപ്പെടും.
Therefore shall the Lord God of hostes send amog his fat men, leannes, and vnder his glorie he shall kindle a burning, like the burning of fire.
17 ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പ്രകാശം ഒരു അഗ്നിയായും അവരുടെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ഒരു ജ്വാലയായും മാറും; അതു ജ്വലിച്ച്, ഒറ്റദിവസംകൊണ്ട് അവന്റെ മുള്ളുകളും മുൾച്ചെടികളും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.
And the light of Israel shalbe as a fire, and the Holy one thereof as a flame, and it shall burne, and deuoure his thornes and his briers in one day:
18 അവിടന്ന് അവന്റെ കാടിന്റെയും ഫലഭൂയിഷ്ഠമായ നിലത്തിന്റെയും മഹത്ത്വം പരിപൂർണമായും നശിപ്പിക്കും, അതു ഒരു രോഗി ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുന്നതുപോലെയായിരിക്കും.
And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitfull fieldes both soule and flesh: and he shalbe as ye fainting of a standard bearer.
19 അവന്റെ വനത്തിൽ അവശേഷിക്കുന്ന വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ ഒരു കുഞ്ഞിന് എണ്ണാവുന്നതുപോലെ പരിമിതമായിരിക്കും.
And the rest of the trees of his forest shalbe fewe, that a childe may tell them.
20 ആ ദിവസം ഇസ്രായേലിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവരും യാക്കോബുഗൃഹത്തിൽ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടവരും തങ്ങളെ പ്രഹരിച്ചവനിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കാതെ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനായ യഹോവയിൽ ആത്മാർഥതയോടെ ആശ്രയിക്കും.
And at that day shall the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Iaakob, stay no more vpon him that smote them, but shall stay vpon ye Lord, ye Holy one of Israel in trueth.
21 ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മടങ്ങിവരും, യാക്കോബിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുതന്നെ, ശക്തനായ ദൈവത്തിലേക്കുതന്നെ മടങ്ങിവരും.
The remnant shall returne, euen the remnant of Iaakob vnto the mightie God.
22 ഇസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ ജനം കടൽപ്പുറത്തെ മണൽത്തരിപോലെ അസംഖ്യമെങ്കിലും, അതിൽ ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പുമാത്രമേ മടങ്ങിവരുകയുള്ളൂ. നീതി കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്ന സംഹാരം നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
For though thy people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, yet shall the remnant of them returne. The consumption decreed shall ouerflow with righteousnesse.
23 കർത്താവ്, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, ഉത്തരവിറക്കിയതുപോലെ സർവഭൂമിയിലും നാശംവരുത്തും.
For the Lord God of hostes shall make the consumption, euen determined, in the middes of all the land.
24 അതുകൊണ്ട് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “സീയോനിൽ അധിവസിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനമേ, ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാർ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അശ്ശൂര്യർ തങ്ങളുടെ ദണ്ഡ് നിങ്ങൾക്കെതിരേ ഉയർത്തുകയും ചൂരൽകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളെ അടിക്കുകയുംചെയ്താൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട.
Therefore thus saith ye Lord God of hostes, O my people, that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of Asshur: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift vp his staffe against thee after the maner of Egypt:
25 വളരെവേഗംതന്നെ നിങ്ങൾക്കെതിരേയുള്ള എന്റെ കോപം ശമിക്കുകയും എന്റെ ക്രോധം അവരുടെ നാശത്തിനായി തിരിച്ചു വിടുകയും ചെയ്യും.”
But yet a very litle time, and the wrath shall be consumed, and mine anger in their destruction.
26 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഓരേബിലെ പാറയ്ക്കടുത്തുവെച്ചു മിദ്യാനെ ചമ്മട്ടികൊണ്ട് അടിച്ചതുപോലെ അവരെ അടിക്കും; ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽവെച്ചു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അവിടന്നു സമുദ്രത്തിന്മേൽ വടി ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിക്കും.
And ye Lord of hostes shall raise vp a scourge for him, according to the plague of Midian in the rocke Oreb: and as his staffe was vpon the Sea, so he will lift it vp after the maner of Egypt.
27 അന്ന് അവരുടെ ഭാരം നിന്റെ തോളിൽനിന്ന് ഉയർത്തപ്പെടും നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിലുള്ള അവരുടെ നുകംതന്നെ; നിന്റെ പുഷ്ടി നിമിത്തം ആ നുകം തകർക്കപ്പെടും.
And at that day shall his burden be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy necke: and the yoke shalbe destroied because of the anoynting.
28 അവർ അയ്യാത്തിൽ എത്തി, മിഗ്രോനിൽക്കൂടി കടന്നുപോയി; മിക്-മാസിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ പടക്കോപ്പുകൾ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
He is come to Aiath: he is passed into Migron: at Michmash shall he lay vp his armour.
29 അവർ ചുരം കടന്നു, “ഗേബായിലെത്തി അവിടെ രാത്രി ചെലവഴിക്കും” എന്നു പറയുന്നു. രാമാ വിറയ്ക്കുന്നു; ശൗലിന്റെ ഗിബെയാ ഓടി മറയുന്നു.
They haue gone ouer the foorde: they lodged in the lodging at Geba: Ramah is afraide: Gibeah of Saul is fled away.
30 ഗാല്ലീംപുത്രീ, ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിക്കുക! ലയേശേ, ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക! പീഡിതയായ അനാഥോത്തേ!
Lift vp thy voyce, O daughter Gallim, cause Laish to heare, O poore Anathoth.
31 മദ്മേനാ പലായനം തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഗബീം നിവാസികൾ രക്ഷതേടി അലയുന്നു.
Madmenah is remoued: the inhabitants of Gebim haue gathered themselues together.
32 ഈ ദിവസംതന്നെ അവൻ നോബിൽ താമസിക്കും; സീയോൻപുത്രിയുടെ മലയുടെനേരേ, ജെറുശലേം കുന്നിന്റെനേരേ അവർ മുഷ്ടി ചുരുട്ടും.
Yet there is a time that he will stay at Nob: he shall lift vp his hand towarde the mount of the daughter Zion, the hill of Ierusalem.
33 നോക്കൂ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് വലിയ മരക്കൊമ്പുകളെ വെട്ടിമുറിച്ചുകളയും; പൊക്കത്തിൽ വളർന്നവയെ അവിടന്ന് വെട്ടിയിടും, ഉയർന്നവയെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.
Beholde, the Lord God of hostes shall cut off the bough with feare, and they of high stature shalbe cut off, and the hie shalbe humbled.
34 അവിടന്നു വനത്തിലെ കുറ്റിക്കാടുകളെ മഴുകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കളയും; ലെബാനോനും ബലവാന്റെ കൈയാൽ വീഴും.
And he shall cut away the thicke places of the forest with yron, and Lebanon shall haue a mightie fall.
