ഹോശേയ 14

1 ഇസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരിക. നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളായിരുന്നു നിന്റെ വീഴ്ചയ്ക്കു കാരണമായത്!

O Israel, return unto Jehovah thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

2 അനുതാപവാക്യങ്ങളുമായി യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകുക. യഹോവയോടു പറയുക: “ഞങ്ങളുടെ സകലപാപങ്ങളും ക്ഷമിക്കണമേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ അധരഫലം അർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞങ്ങളെ കൃപയോടെ കൈക്കൊള്ളണമേ.

Take with you words, and turn to Jehovah; say unto him, Forgive all iniquity, and receive [us] graciously; so will we render the calves of our lips.

3 അശ്ശൂരിനു ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല. യുദ്ധക്കുതിരകളുടെമേൽ ഞങ്ങൾ കയറി ഓടിക്കുകയില്ല. ഞങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം കൈപ്പണിയോട്, ‘ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമേ’ എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ ഇനി ഒരിക്കലും പറയുകയില്ല. അനാഥനു തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ കരുണ ലഭിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, [Thou art] our God; because in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

4 “ഞാൻ അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസത്യാഗത്തെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കും ഞാൻ അവരെ ഔദാര്യമായി സ്നേഹിക്കും, എന്റെ കോപം അവരെവിട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നല്ലോ.

I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.

5 ഞാൻ ഇസ്രായേലിനു മഞ്ഞുതുള്ളിപോലെ ആയിരിക്കും; അവൻ ശോശന്നപ്പുഷ്പംപോലെ പുഷ്പിക്കും. ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുപോലെ അവൻ ആഴത്തിൽ വേരൂന്നും;

I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

6 അവന്റെ ഇളംകൊമ്പുകൾ വളരും. അവന്റെ ഭംഗി ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ തഴപ്പുപോലെയും വാസന ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുപോലെയും ആയിരിക്കും.

His shoots shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

7 അവന്റെ നിഴലിൽ ഇനിയും മനുഷ്യൻ വസിക്കും; അവർ ധാന്യംപോലെ തഴയ്ക്കും, അവർ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിപോലെ തളിർക്കും— ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ കീർത്തി ലെബാനോനിലെ വീഞ്ഞിന്റെ പ്രശസ്തിപോലെ ആയിരിക്കും.

They shall return and sit under his shadow; they shall revive [as] corn, and blossom as the vine: the renown thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

8 എഫ്രയീമേ, ഇനി എനിക്കും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കുംതമ്മിൽ എന്ത്? ഞാൻ അവനു മറുപടി നൽകുകയും അവനുവേണ്ടി കരുതുകയും ചെയ്യും. ഞാൻ തഴച്ചുവളരുന്ന സരളവൃക്ഷംപോലെ ആകുന്നു; നിന്റെ ഫലസമൃദ്ധി എന്നിൽനിന്ന് വരുന്നു.”

Ephraim [shall say], What have I to do any more with idols? (I answer [him], and I will observe him.) I am like a green fir-tree. — From me is thy fruit found.

9 ആരാണ് ജ്ഞാനി? അവർ ഈ വസ്തുതകൾ ഗ്രഹിക്കട്ടെ. ആരാണ് വിവേകി? അവർ ഇവ മനസ്സിലാക്കട്ടെ. യഹോവയുടെ വഴികൾ നേരുള്ളവതന്നെ; നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ അതിൽ നടക്കും മത്സരികളോ, അതിൽ ഇടറിവീഴും.

Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? intelligent, and he shall know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but the transgressors shall fall therein.
