ഹോശേയ 11
1 “ഇസ്രായേൽ ബാലനായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവനെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു, ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ എന്റെ പുത്രനെ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തി.
When Israel was yet young, then I loved him, and out of Egypt did I call my son.
2 എന്നാൽ, ഞാൻ ഇസ്രായേലിനെ വിളിക്കുന്തോറും അവർ എന്നെ വിട്ടകന്നുപോയി. അവർ ബാലിനു ബലിയർപ്പിച്ചു വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കു ധൂപംകാട്ടി.
The [prophets] called them; but the more they went from them: unto the Be'alim would they sacrifice, and to the graven images would they burn incense.
3 എഫ്രയീമിനെ നടക്കാൻ ശീലിപ്പിച്ചത് ഞാനാണ്, ഞാൻ അവരെ ഭുജങ്ങളിൽ എടുത്തു; എങ്കിലും, അവരെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കിയത് ഞാൻ ആണെന്ന് അവർ മനസ്സിലാക്കിയില്ല.
Yet I myself appointed a leader for Ephraim, who took them up in his arms; but they would not acknowledge that I healed them.
4 ഞാൻ മനുഷ്യകരുണയുടെ ചരടുകൾകൊണ്ടും സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടും അവരെ നടത്തി; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ കഴുത്തിൽനിന്ന് നുകം നീക്കി, ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ തലോടാനായി ഉയർത്തുന്ന ഒരുവനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു ഞാൻ അവർക്ക്, അവരെ തീറ്റുന്നതിനായി ഞാൻ കുനിഞ്ഞു.
With human cords I ever drew them forward, with leading-strings of love: and I was to them as those that lift off the yoke from their jaws, and I held out unto them food.
5 “അവർ ഈജിപ്റ്റിലേക്കു മടങ്ങുകയില്ലേ അവർ എങ്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരാൻ വിസമ്മതിച്ചതിനാൽ അശ്ശൂർ അവരുടെമേൽ ഭരണംനടത്തുകയില്ലേ?
He should not return unto the land of Egypt: yet [now] is the Assyrian his king; because they refused to repent.
6 അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ വാൾ മിന്നും; അത് അവരുടെ വ്യാജപ്രവാചകരെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയുകയും അവരുടെ പദ്ധതികൾ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
And the sword shall fall on his cities, and shall make an end of his boughs, and consume them, because of their [evil] counsels.
7 എന്റെ ജനം എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകാൻ ഉറച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അവർ പരമോന്നതനെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചാലും അവിടന്ന് അവരെ ഉദ്ധരിക്കുകയില്ല.
For my people are only bent on backsliding from me; and though upward they call them, they altogether will not elevate themselves.
8 “എഫ്രയീമേ, നിന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാൻ എനിക്കെങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? ഇസ്രായേലേ, നിന്നെ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കാൻ എനിക്കെങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? ആദ്മയോടു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്നോടു ചെയ്യാൻ എനിക്കു കഴിയുമോ? സെബോയിമിനെപ്പോലെ നിന്നെ ആക്കാൻ എനിക്കു കഴിയുമോ? എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ മറിയുന്നു; എന്നിൽ ആർദ്രത കത്തിജ്വലിക്കുന്നു.
How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I surrender thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I change thee as Zeboyim? turned is my heart within me, all my compassion is enkindled together.
9 ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഭയങ്കരകോപം നടപ്പിലാക്കുകയില്ല, ഞാൻ എഫ്രയീമിനെ ഒരിക്കൽക്കൂടി പൂർണമായി നശിപ്പിക്കയുമില്ല. കാരണം ഞാൻ ദൈവമാണ്, മനുഷ്യനല്ല; നിങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യേയുള്ള പരിശുദ്ധൻതന്നെ. ഞാൻ ക്രോധത്തോടെ വരികയുമില്ല.
I will not execute the fierceness of my anger, I will not again destroy Ephraim; for God am I, and not man, the Holy One in the midst of thee, and I will not come with an enemy's hatred.
10 അവർ യഹോവയെ അനുഗമിക്കും. അവിടന്ന് സിംഹംപോലെ ഗർജിക്കും; അവിടന്ന് ഗർജിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവിടത്തെ മക്കൾ പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നു വിറച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവരും.
They shall follow after the Lord, when he will roar like a lion; for he will roar, and the children shall hasten together from the west;
11 അവർ പക്ഷികളെപ്പോലെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്നും പ്രാവുകളെപ്പോലെ അശ്ശൂരിൽനിന്നും വിറച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവരും. ഞാൻ അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിൽ പാർപ്പിക്കും,” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
They shall hasten together as birds out of Egypt, and as doves out of the land of Assyria: and I will cause them to dwell in their houses, saith the Lord.
12 എഫ്രയീം വ്യാജങ്ങളാലും ഇസ്രായേൽഗൃഹം വഞ്ചനയാലും എന്നെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു. യെഹൂദയും ദൈവത്തോട് അനുസരണ കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല; വിശ്വസ്തനും പരിശുദ്ധനുമായവനുനേരേ മത്സരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
With lies hath Ephraim encompassed me about, and with deceit, the house of Israel; but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful to the Holy One.
