ഉല്പത്തി 36
1 ഏദോം എന്ന ഏശാവിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ച വിവരണം ഇതാണ്:
And these [are] the generations of Esau; this is Edom.
2 ഏശാവ് രണ്ട് കനാന്യസ്ത്രീകളെ വിവാഹംചെയ്തു: ഹിത്യനായ ഏലോന്റെ പുത്രി ആദായും അനായുടെ പുത്രിയും ഹിവ്യനായ സിബെയോന്റെ കൊച്ചുമകളുമായ ഒഹൊലീബാമയുമാണവർ.
And Esau took to himself wives of the daughters of the Chananites; Ada, the daughter of Aelom the Chettite; and Olibema, daughter of Ana the son of Sebegon, the Evite;
3 കൂടാതെ, യിശ്മായേലിന്റെ മകളും നെബായോത്തിന്റെ സഹോദരിയുമായ ബാസമത്തിനെയും ഭാര്യയായി സ്വീകരിച്ചു.
and Basemath, daughter of Ismael, sister of Nabaioth.
4 ആദാ ഏശാവിന് എലീഫാസിനെയും ബാസമത്ത് രെയൂവേലിനെയും
And Ada bore to him Eliphas; and Basemath bore Raguel.
5 ഒഹൊലീബാമ യെയൂശ്, യലാം, കോരഹ് എന്നിവരെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു. ഇവരാണ് ഏശാവിനു കനാനിൽവെച്ചു ജനിച്ച പുത്രന്മാർ.
And Olibema bore Jeus, and Jeglom, and Core; these [are] the sons of Esau, which were born to him in the land of Chanaan.
6 ഏശാവു തന്റെ ഭാര്യമാരെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും കുടുംബത്തിലുള്ള സകല അംഗങ്ങളെയും ആടുമാടുകളെയും തനിക്കുള്ള മറ്റു മൃഗങ്ങളെയും കനാനിൽവെച്ചു സമ്പാദിച്ച സകലവസ്തുക്കളും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് തന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യാക്കോബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്ന് കുറച്ച് അകലെയുള്ള ഒരു ദേശത്തേക്കു യാത്രയായി.
And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and all his possessions, and all his cattle, and all that he had got, and all things whatever he had acquired in the land of Chanaan; and Esau went forth from the land of Chanaan, from the face of his brother Jacob.
7 അവർക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ചു ജീവിക്കാൻ സാധ്യമല്ലാത്തവിധം അത്യധികമായ സ്വത്തുക്കൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരുടെ ആടുമാടുകൾനിമിത്തം, അവർ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ദേശത്തിന് അവരെ പോറ്റാൻ കഴിയാതെയായി.
For their substance was too great for them to dwell together; and the land of their sojourning could not bear them, because of the abundance of their possessions.
8 അതുകൊണ്ട് ഏദോം എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഏശാവ് മലമ്പ്രദേശമായ സേയീരിൽ താമസം ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.
And Esau lived in mount Seir; Esau, he is Edom.
9 മലമ്പ്രദേശമായ സേയീരിലെ ഏദോമ്യരുടെ പിതാവായ ഏശാവിന്റെ വംശപാരമ്പര്യം ഇതാണ്.
And these [are] the generations of Esau, the father of Edom in the mount Seir.
10 ഏശാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ പേരുകൾ: ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ആദായുടെ മകൻ എലീഫാസ്; മറ്റൊരു ഭാര്യയായ ബാസമത്തിന്റെ മകനായ രെയൂവേൽ.
And these [are] the names of the sons of Esau. Eliphas, the son of Ada, the wife of Esau; and Raguel, the son of Basemath, wife of Esau.
11 എലീഫാസിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: തേമാൻ, ഓമാർ, സെഫോ, ഗഥാം, കെനസ്.
And the sons of Eliphas were Thaeman, Omar, Sophar, Gothom, and Kenez.
12 ഏശാവിന്റെ മകനായ എലീഫാസിന് തിമ്ന എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു വെപ്പാട്ടി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൾ എലീഫാസിന് അമാലേക്കിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. ഇവരായിരുന്നു ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ആദായുടെ പൗത്രന്മാർ.
And Thamna was a concubine of Eliphaz, the son of Esau; and she bore Amalec to Eliphas. These [are] the sons of Ada, the wife of Esau.
13 രെയൂവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: നഹത്ത്, സേരഹ്, ശമ്മാ, മിസ്സാ. ഇവരായിരുന്നു ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ബാസമത്തിന്റെ പൗത്രന്മാർ.
And these [are] the sons of Raguel; Nachoth, Zare, Some, and Moze. These were the sons of Basemath, wife of Esau.
14 ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയും സിബെയോന്റെ കൊച്ചുമകളും അനായുടെ മകളുമായ ഒഹൊലീബാമ ഏശാവിനു പ്രസവിച്ച പുത്രന്മാർ: യെയൂശ്, യലാം, കോരഹ്.
And these [are] the sons of Olibema, the daughter of Ana, the son of Sebegon, the wife of Esau; and she bore to Esau, Jeus, and Jeglom, and Core.
15 ഏശാവിന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളിൽ പ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരാണ്: ഏശാവിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ എലീഫാസിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: പ്രധാനികളായ തേമാൻ, ഓമാർ, സെഫോ, കെനസ്,
These [are] the chiefs of the son of Esau, [even] the sons of Eliphas, the firstborn of Esau; chief Thaeman, chief Omar, chief Sophar, chief Kenez,
16 കോരഹ്, ഗത്ഥാം, അമാലേക്ക്. ഏദോമിൽവെച്ച് എലീഫാസിൽനിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരായിരുന്നു; ഇവർ ആദായുടെ പൗത്രന്മാരാണ്.
chief Core, chief Gothom, chief Amalec. These [are] the chiefs of Eliphas, in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Ada.
17 ഏശാവിന്റെ മകനായ രെയൂവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: പ്രധാനികളായ നഹത്ത്, സേരഹ്, ശമ്മാ, മിസ്സാ. ഏദോമിൽവെച്ച് രെയൂവേലിൽനിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരാകുന്നു. ഇവർ ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ബാസമത്തിന്റെ പൗത്രന്മാരാണ്.
And these [are] the sons of Raguel, the son of Esau; chief Nachoth, chief Zare, chief Some, chief Moze. These [are] the chiefs of Raguel, in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Basemath, wife of Esau.
18 ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ഒഹൊലീബാമയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: പ്രധാനികളായ യെയൂശ്, യലാം, കോരഹ്, ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയും അനായുടെ മകളുമായ ഒഹൊലീബാമയിൽനിന്നു ജനിച്ച പ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരത്രേ.
And these [are] the sons of Olibema, wife of Esau; chief Jeus, chief Jeglom, chief Core. These [are] the chiefs of Olibema, daughter of Ana, wife of Esau.
19 ഏദോം എന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഇവരാകുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രധാനികളും ഇവരാണ്.
These [are] the sons of Esau, and these are the chiefs; these are the sons of Edom.
20 ഹോര്യനായ സേയീരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായി ആ പ്രദേശത്തു ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നവർ ഇവരാകുന്നു: ലോതാൻ, ശോബാൽ, സിബെയോൻ, അനാ,
And these [are] the sons of Seir, the Chorrhite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, Sobal, Sebegon, Ana,
21 ദീശോൻ, ഏസെർ, ദീശാൻ. ഏദോമിലെ സേയീരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ഇവർ ഹോര്യരുടെ പ്രധാനികൾ ആകുന്നു.
and Deson, and Asar, and Rison. These [are] the chiefs of the Chorrhite, the son of Seir, in the land of Edom.
22 ലോതാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹോരി, ഹോമാം; തിമ്നാ ലോതാന്റെ സഹോദരി ആയിരുന്നു.
And the sons of Lotan [were] Chorrhi and Haeman; and the sister of Lotan, Thamna.
23 ശോബാലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അല്വാൻ, മനഹത്ത്, ഏബാൽ, ശെഫോ, ഓനാം.
And these [are] the sons of Sobal; Golam, and Manachath, and Gaebel, and Sophar, and Omar.
24 സിബെയോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അയ്യാ, അനാ. തന്റെ പിതാവായ സിബെയോന്റെ കഴുതകളെ മേയിക്കുമ്പോൾ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ചൂടുള്ള നീരുറവകൾ കണ്ടെത്തിയത് ഇതേ അനാ ആയിരുന്നു.
And these [are] the sons of Sebegon; Aie, and Ana; this is the Ana who found Jamin in the wilderness, when he tended the beasts of his father Sebegon.
25 അനാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ: മകൻ ദീശോനും മകൾ ഒഹൊലീബാമയും.
And these [are] the sons of Ana; Deson—and Olibema [was] daughter of Ana.
26 ദീശോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹെമ്ദാൻ, എശ്ബാൻ, യിത്രാൻ, കെരാൻ.
And these [are] the sons of Deson; Amada, and Asban, and Ithran, and Charrhan.
27 ഏസെരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ബിൽഹാൻ, സാവാൻ, അക്കാൻ.
And these [are] the sons of Asar; Balaam, and Zucam, and Jucam.
28 ദീശോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഊസ്, അരാൻ.
And these [are] the sons of Rison; Hos, and Aran.
29 ഹോര്യപ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരായിരുന്നു: ലോതാൻ, ശോബാൽ, സിബെയോൻ, അനാ,
And these [are] the chiefs of Chorri; chief Lotan, chief Sobal, chief Sebegon, chief Ana,
30 ദീശോൻ, ഏസെർ, ദീശാൻ. ഇവർ സേയീർദേശത്ത് തങ്ങളുടെ വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച് ഹോര്യപ്രധാനികൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
chief Deson, chief Asar, chief Rison. These [are] the chiefs of Chorri, in their principalities in the land of Edom.
31 ഇസ്രായേലിൽ രാജഭരണം വരുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ് ഏദോമിൽ ഭരണം നടത്തിയിരുന്ന രാജാക്കന്മാർ ഇവരാണ്:
these [are] the kings which reigned in Edom, before a king reigned in Israel.
32 ബെയോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബേല ഏദോമിലെ രാജാവായി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിനു ദിൻഹാബാഹ് എന്നു പേരുണ്ടായി.
And Balac, son of Beor, reigned in Edom; and the name of his city [was] Dennaba.
33 ബേലയുടെ മരണശേഷം ബൊസ്രാക്കാരനായ സേരഹിന്റെ മകൻ യോബാബ് രാജാവിന്റെ അനന്തരാവകാശിയായിത്തീർന്നു.
And Balac died; and Jobab, son of Zara, from Bosorrha reigned in his stead.
34 യോബാബിന്റെ മരണശേഷം തേമാന്യരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നുള്ള ഹൂശാം രാജാവായി.
And Jobab died; and Asom, from the land of the Thaemanites, reigned in his stead.
35 ഹൂശാമിന്റെ മരണശേഷം ബേദാദിന്റെ മകനും മോവാബുദേശത്തുവെച്ച് മിദ്യാനെ തോൽപ്പിച്ചവനുമായ ഹദദ് രാജാവായി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിന് അവീത്ത് എന്നു പേരായി.
And Asom died; and Adad son of Barad, who cut off Madiam in the plain of Moab, ruled in his stead; and the name of his city was Getthaim.
36 ഹദദിന്റെ മരണശേഷം മസ്രേക്കക്കാരനായ സമ്ളാ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുപകരം രാജാവായി.
And Adad died; and Samada of Massecca reigned in his stead.
37 സമ്ളാ മരിച്ചപ്പോൾ നദീതീരത്തുള്ള രെഹോബോത്തിലെ നിവാസിയായ ശാവൂൽ രാജാവായി.
Samada died; and Saul of Rhooboth by the river reigned in his stead.
38 ശാവൂലിന്റെ മരണശേഷം അക്ബോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബാൽ-ഹാനാൻ രാജാവായി.
And Saul died; and Ballenon the son of Achobor reigned in his stead.
39 അക്ബോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബാൽ-ഹാനാൻ മരിച്ചശേഷം ഹദദ് രാജാവായി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിനു പാവൂ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാര്യയുടെ പേര് മെഹേതബേൽ എന്നായിരുന്നു; അവൾ മേ-സാഹാബിന്റെ മകളായ മത്രേദിന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
And Ballenon the son of Achobor died; and Arad the son of Barad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Phogor; and the name of his wife was Metebeel, daughter of Matraith, son of Maizoob.
40 ഏശാവിൽനിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ വംശങ്ങളും പ്രദേശങ്ങളും അനുസരിച്ചുള്ള പേരുകൾ ഇവയാകുന്നു: തിമ്നാ, അല്വാ, യെഥേത്ത്,
These [are] the names of the chiefs of Esau, in their tribes, according to their place, in their countries, and in their nations; chief Thamna, chief Gola, chief Jether,
41 ഒഹൊലീബാമാ, ഏലാ, പീനോൻ,
chief Olibema, chief Helas, chief Phinon,
42 കെനസ്, തേമാൻ, മിബ്സാർ,
chief Kenez, chief Thaeman, chief Mazar,
43 മഗ്ദീയേൽ, ഈരാം. തങ്ങൾ കൈവശപ്പെടുത്തിയ ദേശത്ത്, തങ്ങളുടെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ഇവരായിരുന്നു ഏദോമ്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ. ഏശാവുതന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു ഏദോമ്യരുടെ പിതാവ്.
chief Magediel, chief Zaphoin. These are the chiefs of Edom in their dwelling-places in the land of their possession; this is Esau, the father of Edom.
