യെഹെസ്കേൽ 7

1 യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് ഇപ്രകാരം എനിക്കുണ്ടായി:

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഇസ്രായേൽദേശത്തോട് കർത്താവായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “‘ഇതാ അവസാനം! ദേശത്തിന്റെ നാലു കോണുകളിലും അവസാനം വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു!

And you, son of man, say, This is what the Lord has said to the land of Israel: An end has come, the end has come on the four quarters of the land.

3 ഇപ്പോൾ അവസാനം നിന്റെമേൽ വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു, ഞാൻ എന്റെ കോപം നിനക്കെതിരേ അഴിച്ചുവിടും. നിന്റെ പെരുമാറ്റത്തിന് അനുസൃതമായി ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കും അറപ്പുളവാക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കും നിന്നോടു പകരംവീട്ടും.

Now the end has come on you, and I will send my wrath on you, judging you for your ways, I will send punishment on you for all your disgusting acts.

4 എന്റെ കണ്ണ് യാതൊരനുകമ്പയും നിന്നോടു കാണിക്കുകയില്ല; ഒരു ദാക്ഷിണ്യവും നിനക്കു ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ പെരുമാറ്റരീതിക്ക് ഒത്തവണ്ണം നിശ്ചയമായും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പകരംചെയ്യും, നിന്റെ മ്ലേച്ഛമായ പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽത്തന്നെ. അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയും.’

My eye will not have mercy on you, and I will have no pity: but I will send the punishment of your ways on you, and your disgusting works will be among you: and you will be certain that I am the Lord.

5 “യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “‘അനർഥം! അനർഥത്തിനു പിറകെ അനർഥം! ഇതാ അതു വരുന്നു!

This is what the Lord has said: An evil, even one evil; see, it is coming.

6 അവസാനം വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു! അവസാനം വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു! അതു നിന്റെനേരേ ഉണർന്നുവരുന്നു. ഇതാ, അതു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു!

An end has come, the end has come; see, it is coming on you.

7 വിനാശം നിന്മേൽ വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു, ഈ ദേശത്തു വസിക്കുന്ന നിന്മേൽത്തന്നെ. സമയം വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു! ആ ദിവസം സമീപമായി! പർവതങ്ങളിൽ ആർപ്പുവിളി കേൾക്കുന്നു; ആനന്ദത്തിന്റെ അല്ലതാനും.

The crowning time has come on you, O people of the land: the time has come, the day is near; the day will not be slow in coming, it will not keep back.

8 ഇപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ക്രോധം നിന്റെമേൽ ചൊരിയും; നിന്നോടുള്ള എന്റെ കോപം ഞാൻ നിറവേറ്റും; നിന്റെ പെരുമാറ്റത്തിന് അനുസൃതമായിത്തന്നെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കുകയും നിന്റെ മ്ലേച്ഛതകൾക്കെല്ലാം നിന്നോടു പകരംവീട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യും.

Now, in a little time, I will let loose my passion on you, and give full effect to my wrath against you, judging you for your ways, and sending punishment on you for all your disgusting works.

9 എന്റെ കണ്ണ് യാതൊരനുകമ്പയും നിന്നോടു കാണിക്കുകയില്ല; യാതൊരു ദാക്ഷിണ്യവും നിനക്കു ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ പെരുമാറ്റരീതിക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പകരംചെയ്യും, നിന്റെ മ്ലേച്ഛമായ പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽത്തന്നെ. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയാണ് നിന്നെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നതെന്നു നീ അറിയും.

My eye will not have mercy, and I will have no pity: I will send on you the punishment of your ways, and your disgusting works will be among you; and you will see that I am the Lord who gives punishment.

10 “‘ഇതാ, ആ ദിവസം! ഇതാ, അതു വരുന്നു! നിന്റെ നാശം പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; വടി പൂത്തിരിക്കുന്നു, അഹങ്കാരം തളിർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു!

See, the day; see, it is coming: the crowning time has gone out; the twisted way is flowering, pride has put out buds.

11 അക്രമം എഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു, ദുഷ്ടരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള ഒരു വടിയായിത്തന്നെ. ആ ജനത്തിൽ ആരുംതന്നെ, ആ ജനസമൂഹത്തിലോ അവരുടെ ധനത്തിലോ മൂല്യവത്തായ ഒന്നും അവശേഷിക്കുകയില്ല.

Violent behaviour has been lifted up into a rod of evil; it will not be slow in coming, it will not keep back.

12 സമയം വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു! ആ ദിവസം എത്തിച്ചേർന്നു! വാങ്ങുന്നവർ സന്തോഷിക്കുകയോ വിൽക്കുന്നവർ വിലപിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കട്ടെ; കാരണം, എന്റെ ക്രോധം ആ മുഴുവൻ ജനസമൂഹത്തിന്മേലും വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

The time has come, the day is near: let not him who gives a price for goods be glad, or him who gets the price have sorrow:

13 വാങ്ങുന്നവരും വിൽക്കുന്നവരും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നിടത്തോളം വിറ്റവന് താൻ വിറ്റതു തിരിച്ചുകിട്ടുകയില്ല. അവരുടെ എല്ലാ പുരുഷാരത്തെപ്പറ്റിയുമുള്ള ദർശനം മറിച്ചാകുകയില്ല. അവരുടെ പാപംനിമിത്തം ഒരാളുടെയും ജീവൻ സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല.

For the trader will not go back to the things for which he had his price, even while he is still living:

14 “‘അവർ കാഹളമൂതി സകലതും സജ്ജമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ആരുംതന്നെ യുദ്ധത്തിനു പുറപ്പെടുന്നില്ല, കാരണം എന്റെ ക്രോധം ആ സമൂഹം മുഴുവന്റെയുംമേൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

And he who has given a price for goods will not get them, for my wrath is on all of them.

15 പട്ടണത്തിനുപുറത്ത് വാൾ; അകത്ത് പകർച്ചവ്യാധിയും ക്ഷാമവും. വയലിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവർ വാളാൽ മരിക്കും. ക്ഷാമവും പകർച്ചവ്യാധിയും നഗരത്തിലുള്ളവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

Outside is the sword, and inside disease and need of food: he who is in the open country will be put to the sword; he who is in the town will come to his end through need of food and disease.

16 അവരിൽ പലായിതർ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടാൽത്തന്നെയും പർവതങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഓടിപ്പോകും. താഴ്വരകളിലെ പ്രാവുകളെപ്പോലെ അവർ എല്ലാവരും വിലപിക്കും, ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും പാപങ്ങൾമൂലംതന്നെ.

And those of them who get away safely will go and be in the secret places like the doves of the valleys, all of them will come to death, every one in his sin.

17 എല്ലാ കൈകളും തളരും; എല്ലാ കാലുകളും മൂത്രത്താൽ നനയും.

All hands will be feeble and all knees without strength, like water.

18 അവർ ചാക്കുശീല ധരിക്കും, നടുക്കം അവരെ കീഴടക്കും. എല്ലാ മുഖങ്ങളിലും ലജ്ജ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും, എല്ലാ തലയും ക്ഷൗരം ചെയ്യപ്പെടും.

And they will put haircloth round them, and deep fear will be covering them; and shame will be on all faces, and the hair gone from all their heads.

19 “‘അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ വെള്ളി തെരുവിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും, അവരുടെ സ്വർണം മലിനമായ വസ്തുപോലെ പരിഗണിക്കപ്പെടും. യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധദിവസത്തിൽ അവരുടെ വെള്ളിക്കോ സ്വർണത്തിനോ അവരെ മോചിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല. വിശപ്പടക്കുന്നതിനോ വയറുനിറയ്ക്കുന്നതിനോ അവർക്കത് ഉപകരിക്കുകയില്ല. അത് അവരെ പാപത്തിലേക്കു വീഴാൻ കാരണമാക്കിയല്ലോ.

They will put out their silver into the streets, and their gold will be as an unclean thing; their silver and their gold will not be able to keep them safe in the day of the wrath of the Lord; they will not get their desire or have food for their need: because it has been the cause of their falling into sin.

20 തങ്ങളുടെ മനോഹരങ്ങളായ ആഭരണങ്ങളിൽ അവർ അഹങ്കരിച്ചു. മ്ലേച്ഛവും നിന്ദ്യവുമായ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ നിർമിക്കുന്നതിനായി അവർ അത് ഉപയോഗിച്ചു. അതിനാൽ അതു ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് ഒരു ഹീനവസ്തുവാക്കിത്തീർക്കും.

As for their beautiful ornament, they had put it on high, and had made the images of their disgusting and hated things in it: for this cause I have made it an unclean thing to them.

21 അതു ഞാൻ വിദേശികളുടെ കൈയിൽ കൊള്ളയായും ഭൂമിയിലെ ദുഷ്ടർക്കു കവർച്ചയായും കൊടുക്കും, അവർ അതിനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കും.

And I will give it into the hands of men from strange lands who will take it by force, and to the evil-doers of the earth to have for themselves; and they will make it unholy.

22 ആ ജനത്തിൽനിന്നു ഞാൻ മുഖം തിരിച്ചുകളയും, എനിക്കു വിലപ്പെട്ട സ്ഥലത്തെ കൊള്ളക്കാർ അശുദ്ധമാക്കും. അവർ അതിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുകയും അതിനെ മലിനമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

And my face will be turned away from them, and they will make my secret place unholy: violent men will go into it and make it unholy.

23 “‘ദേശം രക്തപാതകംകൊണ്ടും പട്ടണം അക്രമംകൊണ്ടും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയാൽ നീ ഒരു ചങ്ങല ഉണ്ടാക്കുക!

Make the chain: for the land is full of crimes of blood, and the town is full of violent acts.

24 അവരുടെ വീടുകൾ കൈവശമാക്കുന്നതിന് ഞാൻ ജനതകളിൽ അതിദുഷ്ടന്മാരായവരെ വരുത്തും. ബലിഷ്ഠരുടെ അഹങ്കാരം ഞാൻ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കും, അവരുടെ വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലങ്ങൾ മലിനമായിത്തീരും.

For this reason I will send the worst of the nations and they will take their houses for themselves: I will make the pride of their strength come to an end; and their holy places will be made unclean.

25 ഉൾഭയം വരുമ്പോൾ അവർ സമാധാനം അന്വേഷിക്കും; എന്നാൽ അവർ അതു കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല.

Shaking fear is coming; and they will be looking for peace, and there will be no peace.

26 നാശത്തിനുമീതേ നാശവും കിംവദന്തിക്കുമീതേ കിംവദന്തിയും ഉണ്ടാകും. അവർ പ്രവാചകനിൽനിന്ന് ഒരു ദർശനം അന്വേഷിക്കും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽനിന്നും പുരോഹിതൻ നൽകുന്ന ഉപദേശം നിലയ്ക്കും, ഗോത്രത്തലവന്മാരുടെ ആലോചനയും അവസാനിക്കും.

Destruction will come on destruction, and one story after another; and the vision of the prophet will be shamed, and knowledge of the law will come to an end among the priests, and wisdom among the old.

27 രാജാവു വിലപിക്കും, പ്രഭു നൈരാശ്യത്താൽ മൂടപ്പെടും, ദേശത്തിലെ ജനങ്ങളുടെ കൈകൾ വിറയ്ക്കും. അവരുടെ പെരുമാറ്റത്തിന് അനുസൃതമായി ഞാൻ അവരോട് ഇടപെടും, അവരുടെ മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുസൃതമായി ഞാൻ അവരെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കും. അപ്പോൾ, ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്ന് അവർ അറിയും.’”

The king will give himself up to sorrow, and the ruler will be clothed with wonder, and the hands of the people of the land will be troubled: I will give them punishment for their ways, judging them as it is right for them to be judged; and they will be certain that I am the Lord.
