യെഹെസ്കേൽ 5

1 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഇപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ മൂർച്ചയുള്ള ഒരു വാൾ എടുത്ത് ക്ഷൗരക്കത്തിയായി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിന്റെ തലയും താടിയും ക്ഷൗരംചെയ്യുക. പിന്നീട് ത്രാസ് എടുത്ത് രോമം തൂക്കി വിഭജിക്കുക.

And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause [it] to pass upon thy head and upon thy beard: then take to thee balances to weigh, and divide the [hair].

2 അതിൽ മൂന്നിലൊരംശം നിന്റെ ഉപരോധകാലം തികയുമ്പോൾ നഗരത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽവെച്ച് ദഹിപ്പിക്കുക. മൂന്നിലൊന്നെടുത്ത് പട്ടണത്തിനുചുറ്റും വാൾകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടുക. ശേഷിച്ച മൂന്നിലൊരുഭാഗം കാറ്റിൽ പറത്തിക്കളയുക. ഊരിപ്പിടിച്ച വാളുമായി ഞാൻ അവയ്ക്കു പിന്നാലെ ചെല്ലും.

Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, [and] smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

3 എന്നാൽ അവയിൽനിന്ന് അൽപ്പം എടുത്ത് നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ അറ്റത്തു കെട്ടണം.

Thou shalt also take of them a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.

4 അവയിൽ കുറച്ച് വീണ്ടും എടുത്ത് തീയിലിട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയണം. അതിൽനിന്ന് ഇസ്രായേലിൽ എല്ലായിടത്തേക്കും ഒരു തീ പടർന്നുപിടിക്കും.

Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire: from which a fire shall come forth into all the house of Israel.

5 “യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഇതു ജെറുശലേം ആകുന്നു. ഞാൻ അവളെ ജനതകളുടെ മധ്യേ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൾക്കുചുറ്റും രാജ്യങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; This [is] Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries [that are] around her.

6 എന്നാൽ അവൾ അവളുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയിൽ ആ ജനതകളെക്കാളും അവൾക്കുചുറ്റുമുള്ള രാജ്യങ്ങളെക്കാളും അധികം എന്റെ നിയമങ്ങൾക്കും ഉത്തരവുകൾക്കും എതിരേ മത്സരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. കാരണം അവൾ എന്റെ നിയമങ്ങൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു, എന്റെ ഉത്തരവുകൾ പാലിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that [are] around her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.

7 “അതിനാൽ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ചുറ്റുമുള്ള രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളെക്കാൾ അധികം മെരുക്കമില്ലാത്തവരായി നിങ്ങൾ തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ഉത്തരവുകൾ പാലിക്കുകയോ നിയമങ്ങൾ അനുസരിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. നിങ്ങൾക്കു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളിലെ മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾ അനുവർത്തിക്കുന്ന തരത്തിൽപോലും നിങ്ങൾ ജീവിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that [are] around you, [and] have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that [are] around you:

8 “ഈ കാരണത്താൽ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഇതാ ഞാൻ, ഞാൻതന്നെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എതിരായിരിക്കുന്നു. അയൽരാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾ കാണുംവിധം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ ന്യായവിധി നടപ്പാക്കും.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, [am] against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.

9 നിങ്ങളുടെ മ്ലേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം മുമ്പു ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലാത്തതും മേലാൽ ചെയ്യാത്തതുമായ ഒരു കാര്യം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യും.

And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and the like to which I will not do any more, because of all thy abominations.

10 അതിനാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെ ഭക്ഷിക്കും; മക്കൾ അവരുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കളെയും ഭക്ഷിക്കും. അതിനാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ ന്യായവിധി വരുത്തും; അതിജീവിച്ചവരെ മുഴുവൻ എല്ലാ കാറ്റുകളിലേക്കും ചിതറിക്കും.

Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

11 നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ മ്ലേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടും മറ്റെല്ലാ ഹീനകൃത്യങ്ങളാലും എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയിരിക്കുകയാൽ, ഞാൻതന്നെ നിങ്ങളെ ക്ഷൗരംചെയ്യും; എന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ ഒരിക്കലും നിങ്ങളോടു ദയകാട്ടുകയില്ല, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകയുമില്ല എന്ന് ജീവനുള്ള ഞാൻ ശപഥംചെയ്യുന്നു, എന്ന് യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Wherefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thy abominations, therefore I will also diminish [thee]; neither shall my eye spare, neither will I have any pity.

12 നിങ്ങളിൽ മൂന്നിലൊരംശം മഹാമാരിയാലോ ക്ഷാമത്താലോ നശിക്കും; മൂന്നിലൊരുഭാഗം നഗരത്തിന്റെ മതിലിനു പുറത്തുവെച്ചു വാൾകൊണ്ടു വീഴും; മൂന്നിലൊരുഭാഗത്തെ ഞാൻ കാറ്റുകളിലേക്കു ചിതറിച്ച്, ഊരിപ്പിടിച്ച വാളുമായി അവരെ പിൻതുടരും.

A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword around thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

13 “അങ്ങനെ എന്റെ കോപം ശമിക്കും; അവർക്കെതിരേയുള്ള എന്റെ ക്രോധം അവരുടെമേൽ തീർത്ത് ഞാൻ തൃപ്തനാകും. അവരുടെമേൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ക്രോധം അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടുകഴിയുമ്പോൾ യഹോവയായ ഞാൻതന്നെയാണ് എന്റെ തീക്ഷ്ണതയിൽ സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് അവർ അറിയും.

Thus shall my anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken [it] in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.

14 “നിങ്ങൾക്കു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യേ, വഴിപോകുന്ന എല്ലാവരും കാൺകെത്തന്നെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ നിന്ദ്യമായ ഒരു തകർച്ചയായി മാറ്റും.

Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that [are] around thee, in the sight of all that pass by.

15 അതിനാൽ കോപത്തിലും ക്രോധത്തിലും കഠിനശാസനയിലും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കെതിരായി ന്യായവിധി നടത്തുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾക്ക് നിങ്ങൾ ഒരു നിന്ദാവിഷയവും ആക്ഷേപവും താക്കീതും ഭയത്തിനു കാരണവുമായിത്തീരും, എന്ന് യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment to the nations that [are] around thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken [it].

16 നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ മാരകവും വിനാശകാരിയുമായ ക്ഷാമത്തിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ അയയ്ക്കുമ്പോൾ, നിങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിക്കാൻതന്നെയാണ് ഞാൻ എയ്യുന്നത്. നിങ്ങളുടെമേലുള്ള ക്ഷാമം ഞാൻ കഠിനമാക്കുകയും ഭക്ഷണം എത്തുന്ന മാർഗം ഞാൻ അടച്ചുകളയുകയും ചെയ്യും.

When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for [their] destruction, [and] which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:

17 മാത്രമല്ല, ഞാൻ ക്ഷാമത്തെയും ദുഷ്ടമൃഗങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലേക്ക് അയയ്ക്കും. അവ നിങ്ങളെ മക്കളില്ലാത്തവരാക്കും. മഹാമാരിയും രക്തച്ചൊരിച്ചിലും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വരുത്തും. അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വാൾ അയയ്ക്കും, എന്ന് യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.”

So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken [it].
