യെഹെസ്കേൽ 26

1 പന്ത്രണ്ടാംവർഷം പതിനൊന്നാംമാസം ഒന്നാംതീയതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് എനിക്കുണ്ടായി:

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first [day] of the month, [that] the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ജെറുശലേമിനെപ്പറ്റി, ‘ആഹാ! രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ കവാടം തകർക്കപ്പെട്ടു, അതിന്റെ വാതിലുകൾ എനിക്കുമുമ്പാകെ മലർക്കെ തുറക്കപ്പെട്ടു; ഇപ്പോൾ അവൾ ശൂന്യയായിരിക്കുകയാൽ എനിക്ക് സമൃദ്ധിയുണ്ടാകും’ എന്ന് സോർ പറയുകയാൽ,

Son of man, because Sor has said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is crushed: the nations are destroyed: she is turned to me: she that was full is made desolate:

3 യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: സോരേ, ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് എതിരായിരിക്കുന്നു; സമുദ്രം അതിന്റെ തിരകളെ തള്ളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു വരുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാൻ അനേക രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളെ നിനക്കെതിരേ വരുത്തും.

therefore thus says the Lord; Behold, I am against you, O Sor, and I will bring up many nations against you, as the sea comes up with its waves.

4 അവർ സോരിന്റെ മതിലുകൾ തകർത്ത് ഗോപുരങ്ങളെ ഇടിച്ചുകളയും; ഞാൻ അവളുടെ പൊടി അടിച്ചുവാരിക്കളഞ്ഞ് അവളെ ഒരു വെറും പാറയാക്കും.

And they shall cast down the walls of Sor, and shall cast down your towers: and I will scrape her dust from off her, and make her a bare rock.

5 കടലിന്റെ സമീപത്ത് വല വിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു സ്ഥലമായി അവൾ തീരും; ഞാൻ കൽപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാട്. അവൾ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾക്കു കവർച്ചയായിത്തീരും.

She shall be in the midst of the sea a place for repairing nets: for I have spoken [it], says the Lord: and it shall be a spoil for the nations.

6 പ്രധാന ഭൂപ്രദേശത്തെ അവളുടെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലുള്ളവർ വാളാൽ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടും; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്ന് അവർ അറിയും.

And her daughters [which are] in the field shall be slain with the sword, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

7 “യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: വടക്കുനിന്ന് രാജാധിരാജാവും ബാബേലിന്റെ അധിപതിയുമായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിനെ കുതിരകളും രഥങ്ങളും കുതിരച്ചേവകരും വിപുലമായ ഒരു സൈന്യവുമായി ഞാൻ സോരിനെതിരേ കൊണ്ടുവരും.

For thus says the Lord; Behold, I [will] bring up against you, O Sor, Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon from the north: he is a king of kings, with horses, and chariots, and horsemen, and a concourse of very many nations.

8 പ്രധാന ഭൂപ്രദേശത്തെ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലുള്ളവരെ അവൻ വാൾകൊണ്ടു കൊല്ലും; അവൻ നിന്റെനേരേ ഉപരോധമതിൽ പണിതു മതിൽപ്പൊക്കത്തോളം ചരിഞ്ഞ പാത പണിതുയർത്തും; പരിചകൾകൊണ്ട് ഒരു മറ തീർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

He shall kill your daughters that are in the field with the sword, and shall set a watch against you, and build forts around you, and carry a rampart round against you, and set up warlike works, and array his spears against you.

9 അവൻ നിന്റെ മതിലുകൾക്കെതിരേ യന്ത്രമുട്ടികൾവെച്ച് തന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങൾകൊണ്ട് നിന്റെ ഗോപുരങ്ങൾ തകർത്തുകളയും.

He shall cast down with his swords your walls and your towers.

10 നിന്നെ പൊടിപടലംകൊണ്ടു മറയ്ക്കുമാറ് അവന്റെ കുതിരകൾ അനവധിയായിരിക്കും. മതിൽ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു ജനക്കൂട്ടം കടക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവൻ നിന്റെ ഗോപുരങ്ങളിൽക്കൂടി കടക്കുമ്പോൾ പോർക്കുതിരകളുടെയും വണ്ടികളുടെയും രഥങ്ങളുടെയും ആരവംകൊണ്ട് നിന്റെ മതിലുകൾ വിറകൊള്ളും.

By reason of your multitude of his horses their dust shall cover you, and by reason of the sound of his horsemen and the wheels of his chariots the walls shall be shaken, when he enters into your gates, as one entering into a city from the plain.

11 അവന്റെ കുതിരകളുടെ കുളമ്പടി നിന്റെ എല്ലാ തെരുവീഥികളും മെതിച്ചുകളയും. നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ അവൻ വാളാൽ സംഹരിക്കും; നിന്റെ ശക്തമായ തൂണുകൾ നിലംപൊത്തും.

With the hoofs of his horses they shall trample all your streets: he shall kill your people with the sword, and shall bring down to the ground the support of your strength.

12 അവർ നിന്റെ സമ്പത്തു കവർന്ന് നിന്റെ വിഭവങ്ങൾ കൊള്ളയിട്ട്, നിന്റെ മതിലുകൾ ഇടിച്ചുനിരത്തി, നിന്റെ മനോഹരഭവനങ്ങൾ തകർത്ത്, നിന്റെ കല്ലും മരവും മണ്ണുമെല്ലാം കടലിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും.

And he shall prey upon your power, and plunder your substance, and shall cast down your walls, and break down your pleasant houses: and he shall cast your stones and your timber and your dust into the midst of your sea.

13 നിന്റെ സംഗീതഘോഷം ഞാൻ ഇല്ലാതെയാക്കും; നിന്റെ വീണാനാദം ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും കേൾക്കുകയില്ല.

And he shall destroy the multitude of your musicians, and the sound of your lutes shall be heard no more.

14 ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വെറുമൊരു പാറയാക്കും; നീ മീൻവല വിരിക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു സ്ഥലമായിത്തീരും. ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും നീ പുനർനിർമിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല. യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അതു കൽപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കർത്താവായ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.

And I will make you a bare rock: you shall be a place to spread nets upon; you shall be built no more: for I the Lord have spoken [it], says the Lord.

15 “യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് സോരിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിന്നിൽ മുറിവേറ്റവർ ഞരങ്ങുമ്പോഴും നിന്റെ നടുവിൽ സംഹാരം നടക്കുമ്പോഴും നിന്റെ പതനത്തിന്റെ ഒച്ചയാൽ തീരദേശം വിറയ്ക്കുകയില്ലേ?

For thus says the Lord God to Sor; Shall not the isles shake at the sound of your fall, while the wounded are groaning, while they have drawn a sword in the midst of you?

16 അപ്പോൾ തീരദേശത്തിലെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും തങ്ങളുടെ സിംഹാസനം വിട്ടിറങ്ങി അങ്കികൾ നീക്കി ചിത്രത്തയ്യലുള്ള തങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ അഴിച്ചുമാറ്റും. അവർ നിങ്കൽ സ്തബ്ധരായി ഭീതിപൂണ്ട് ഓരോ നിമിഷവും വിറച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിലത്തിരിക്കും.

And all the princes of the nations of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and shall take off their crowns from their heads, and shall take off their embroidered raiment: they shall be utterly amazed; they shall sit upon the ground, and fear their [own] destruction, and shall groan over you.

17 അപ്പോൾ അവർ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരു ദുഃഖാചരണം നടത്തി ഇപ്രകാരം പറയും: “‘സമുദ്രസഞ്ചാരികൾ നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്ന പ്രശസ്ത നഗരമേ, നീ നശിച്ചുപോയത് എങ്ങനെ! നീയും നിന്റെ പൗരന്മാരും സമുദ്രത്തിലെ ശക്തിയായിരുന്നു. അവിടെ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന സകലർക്കും നീയൊരു ഭീതിവിഷയം ആയിരുന്നു.

And they shall take up a lamentation for you, and shall say to you, How are you destroyed from out of the sea, the renowned city, that brought her terror upon all her inhabitants.

18 ഇപ്പോഴോ നിന്റെ പതനദിവസത്തിൽ തീരപ്രദേശങ്ങൾ വിറയ്ക്കുന്നു; കടലിലെ ദ്വീപുകൾ നിന്റെ തകർച്ചയിൽ നടുങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.’

And the isles shall be alarmed at the day of your fall.

19 “യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിവാസികളില്ലാത്ത നഗരംപോലെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശൂന്യമാക്കുമ്പോൾ, അഗാധസമുദ്രത്തെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെമേൽ വരുത്തി പെരുവെള്ളം നിന്നെ മൂടിക്കളയുമ്പോൾ,

For thus says the Lord God; When I shall make the city desolate, as the cities that shall not be inhabited, when I have brought the deep up upon you,

20 കുഴിയിൽ ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടൊപ്പം പുരാതന ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നയിക്കും; പ്രാചീനതയുടെ അവശിഷ്ടങ്ങളെന്നപോലെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ കുഴിയിൽ ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടൊപ്പംതന്നെ പാർപ്പിക്കും. ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്കു നീ മടങ്ങുകയോ അവിടെ നീ നിവസിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുകയില്ല.

and great waters shall cover you; and I shall bring you down to them that go down to the pit, to the people of old time, and shall cause you to dwell in the depths of the earth, as in everlasting desolation, with them that go down to the pit, that you may not be inhabited, nor stand upon the land of life;

21 ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഭയാനകമായ ഒരു അന്ത്യംവരുത്തും; നീ ഇല്ലാതെയാകും; ആളുകൾ നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുമെങ്കിലും ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും നിന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല എന്ന് യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാട്.”

I will make you a destruction, and you shall be no more for ever, says the Lord God.
