യെഹെസ്കേൽ 22

1 പിന്നീട് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് എനിക്ക് ഇപ്രകാരം ലഭിച്ചു:

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ അവളെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കുമോ? രക്തപാതകമുള്ള നഗരത്തെ നീ ന്യായംവിധിക്കുമോ? എങ്കിൽ അവളുടെ എല്ലാ മ്ലേച്ഛതകളും അവളെ അറിയിക്കുക.

Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yes, thou shalt show her all her abominations.

3 നീ ഇപ്രകാരം പറയണം: ‘യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിന്റെ നടുവിൽ രക്തം ചൊരിഞ്ഞും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കി നിന്നെത്തന്നെ മ്ലേച്ഛയാക്കി സ്വന്തം വിനാശം നിന്റെമേൽ സ്വയം ക്ഷണിച്ചുവരുത്തുന്ന നഗരമേ,

Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.

4 നീ ചൊരിഞ്ഞ രക്തം മുഖേന നീ കുറ്റവാളിയായിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ നിർമിച്ച വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം നീ മ്ലേച്ഛയായിരിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ ദിവസം നീ സമീപസ്ഥമാക്കി; നിന്റെ അന്തിമവർഷങ്ങൾ വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. തന്മൂലം ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ജനതകൾക്കു നിന്ദാവിഷയവും എല്ലാ രാജ്യങ്ങൾക്കും പരിഹാസവുമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself by thy idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come [even] to thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach to the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.

5 കുപ്രസിദ്ധവും ക്ഷോഭംനിറഞ്ഞതുമായ പട്ടണമേ, നിന്റെ അടുത്തും അകലെയുമുള്ളവർ നിന്നെ പരിഹസിക്കും.

[Those that are] near, and [those that are] far from thee, shall mock thee, [who art] infamous [and] much troubled.

6 “‘നോക്കൂ, നിന്നിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന ഇസ്രായേൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ രക്തച്ചൊരിച്ചിലിനായി അവരുടെ ശക്തി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് കാണുക.

Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.

7 അവർ നിന്നിൽ വസിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് മാതാപിതാക്കളെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു; വിദേശികളെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അനാഥരെയും വിധവമാരെയും ദ്രോഹിക്കുന്നു.

In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they oppressed the fatherless and the widow.

8 നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെ നിന്ദിക്കുകയും എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തിനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Thou hast despised my holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

9 രക്തം ചൊരിയേണ്ടതിന് ഏഷണി പറയുന്നവർ നിന്നിലുണ്ട്; പർവതങ്ങളിലെ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽവെച്ച് നൈവേദ്യം ഭക്ഷിക്കുകയും ദുഷ്കർമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർ നിന്റെ മധ്യേയുണ്ട്.

In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.

10 നിന്നിൽവെച്ച് അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ നഗ്നത അനാവൃതമാക്കുന്നു; നിന്നിൽവെച്ച് അവർ ഋതുമാലിന്യത്താൽ ആചാരപരമായി അശുദ്ധയായി കഴിയുന്ന സ്ത്രീയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുന്നു.

In thee have they uncovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.

11 ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ അയൽക്കാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയോടു മ്ലേച്ഛത പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുവൻ തന്റെ മരുമകളുമായി ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവർത്തിച്ച് അവളെ മലിനയാക്കുന്നു. വേറൊരുവൻ തന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ മകളായ സഹോദരിയെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു.

And one hath committed abomination with his neighbor's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.

12 നിന്നിൽവെച്ച് അവർ രക്തപാതകത്തിനായി കൈക്കൂലി വാങ്ങുന്നു; നീ ദരിദ്രരിൽനിന്നു പലിശയും കൊള്ളലാഭവും വാങ്ങുന്നു. നീ അയൽവാസിയോട് അനീതിയോടെ പെരുമാറി ആദായമുണ്ടാക്കുകയും എന്നെ മറന്നുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്ന് യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാട്.

In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken interest and increase, and thou hast greedily gained from thy neighbors by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.

13 “‘നീ അസത്യമാർഗത്തിലൂടെ നേടിയ ലാഭത്തിന്റെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലുള്ള രക്തപാതകത്തിന്റെയും നേരേ ഞാൻ കൈകൊട്ടുന്നു.

Behold, therefore I have smitten my hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

14 ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് ഇടപെടുന്ന ദിവസം നിന്റെ ധൈര്യം നിലനിൽക്കുമോ? നിന്റെ കൈകൾ ബലപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുമോ? യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ അതു നിവർത്തിക്കും.

Can thy heart endure, or can thy hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken [it], and will do [it].

15 ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ജനതകൾക്കിടയിൽ ചിതറിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഛിന്നഭിന്നമാക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ അശുദ്ധി ഞാൻ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കും.

And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.

16 രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെമുമ്പിൽ നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്നു നീ അറിയും.’”

And thou shalt take thy inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD.

17 അതിനുശേഷം യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് എനിക്ക് ഇപ്രകാരം ഉണ്ടായി:

And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

18 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഇസ്രായേൽഗൃഹം എനിക്കു ലോഹക്കിട്ടമായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ എല്ലാവരും ഉലയിൽ ചെമ്പും വെളുത്തീയവും ഇരുമ്പും കറുത്തീയവുമായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ വെള്ളിയുടെ വെറും കിട്ടമായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they [are] brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are [even] the dross of silver.

19 അതിനാൽ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; ‘നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ലോഹക്കിട്ടമായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുകയാൽ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ജെറുശലേമിന്റെ നടുവിൽ കൂട്ടും.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

20 അവർ വെള്ളിയും ചെമ്പും ഇരുമ്പും കറുത്തീയവും വെളുത്തീയവും ഉലയുടെ മധ്യേ ഊതി ഉരുക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടി എന്റെ കോപത്തിലും ക്രോധത്തിലും ഉരുക്കും.

[As] they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt [it]; so will I gather [you] in my anger and in my fury, and I will leave [you there], and melt you.

21 ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടി നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ എന്റെ ക്രോധാഗ്നി ഊതും; നിങ്ങൾ അതിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ഉരുകിപ്പോകും.

Yes, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst of it.

22 വെള്ളി ഉലയിൽ ഉരുകിപ്പോകുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ അതിന്റെമധ്യേ ഉരുകിപ്പോകും. യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ക്രോധം നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ ചൊരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയും.’”

As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst of it; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

23 യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് എനിക്ക് വീണ്ടും ഉണ്ടായി:

And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

24 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ‘നിങ്ങൾ ക്രോധദിവസത്തിൽ ശുദ്ധിപ്രാപിക്കാത്തതും മഴയേൽക്കാത്തതുമായ ഒരു ദേശമാകുന്നു’ എന്ന് അവളോടു പറയുക.

Son of man, say to her, Thou [art] the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

25 അവളുടെ നടുവിൽ പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ ഒരു ഗൂഢാലോചനയുണ്ട്. അലറി ഇര കടിച്ചുകീറുന്ന സിംഹംപോലെ അവർ ജനത്തെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളും വിലയേറിയ വസ്തുക്കളും അപഹരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവളുടെ മധ്യേ നിരവധി വിധവകളെ വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

[There is] a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst of her, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst of her.

26 അവളുടെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തോട് അതിക്രമം പ്രവർത്തിച്ച് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെ മലിനമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. വിശുദ്ധമായതും അശുദ്ധമായതുംതമ്മിൽ ഒരു വിവേചനം അവർ വെച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ആചാരപരമായി മലിനമായവയും നിർമലമായവയുംതമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യത്യാസം എന്തെന്ന് അവർ പഠിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ഞാൻ അവരുടെ മധ്യേ അശുദ്ധനായിത്തീരുമാറ് അവർ എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകളെ നോക്കാതെ കണ്ണു മറച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned my holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shown [difference] between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

27 അവളുടെ മധ്യേയുള്ള പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ കൊള്ളലാഭം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഇരയെ കടിച്ചുചീന്തുന്ന ചെന്നായ്ക്കളെപ്പോലെ രക്തം ചൊരിയുകയും ആളുകളെ കൊല്ലുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Her princes in the midst of her [are] like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, [and] to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

28 യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കെ, ‘കർത്താവായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു വ്യാജദർശനങ്ങളും കള്ളദേവപ്രശ്നങ്ങളും അറിയിക്കുന്ന അവളുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ അവർക്കുവേണ്ടി വെള്ളപൂശുന്നവരാകുന്നു.

And her prophets have daubed them with untempered [mortar], seeing vanity, and divining lies to them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.

29 ദേശത്തെ ജനങ്ങൾ ധനാപഹരണംനടത്തുകയും കൊള്ളയിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. അവർ ദരിദ്രരെയും ഞെരുക്കമനുഭവിക്കുന്നവരെയും പീഡിപ്പിക്കുകയും നീതി നിഷേധിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് വിദേശിയെ ചൂഷണംചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have oppressed the poor and needy: yes, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

30 “ഞാൻ ദേശത്തെ നശിപ്പിക്കാതവണ്ണം അതിനു മതിൽകെട്ടി എന്റെമുമ്പാകെ അതിലുള്ള വിടവിൽ നിൽക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ മധ്യേ അന്വേഷിച്ചു; ആരെയും കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല.

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

31 അതിനാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ക്രോധം അവരുടെമേൽ പകർന്നു, എന്റെ കോപാഗ്നിയിൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു. അവരുടെ അക്രമത്തെ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ തലമേൽത്തന്നെ വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.”

Therefore have I poured out my indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.
