യെഹെസ്കേൽ 21

1 അതിനുശേഷം യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് എനിക്ക് ഇപ്രകാരം ഉണ്ടായി:

Then the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

2 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ; നിന്റെ മുഖം ജെറുശലേമിനെതിരേ തിരിച്ച് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിനെതിരേ പ്രസംഗിക്കുക. ഇസ്രായേൽദേശത്തിനു വിരോധമായി പ്രവചിക്കുക.

“Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and speak against the sanctuaries; prophesy against the land of Israel.

3 അവളോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുക: ‘യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എതിരായിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ എന്റെ വാൾ ഉറയിൽനിന്നൂരി നീതിനിഷ്ഠരെയും ദുഷ്ടരെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്ന് ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

Say to the land of Israel, 'Yahweh says this: Behold! I am against you! I will draw my sword from its sheath and cut off both the righteous person and the wicked person from you!

4 ഞാൻ നീതിനിഷ്ഠരെയും ദുഷ്ടരെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയാൻ പോകുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ വാൾ തെക്കുമുതൽ വടക്കുവരെ എല്ലാവർക്കുമെതിരേ ഉറയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടും.

In order for me to cut off both the righteous and the wicked from you, my sword will go out from its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north.

5 യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ എന്റെ വാൾ ഉറയിൽനിന്നു ഊരിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് അപ്പോൾ എല്ലാവരും അറിയും. അതു ഇനി മടങ്ങിപ്പോകുകയില്ല.’

Then all flesh will know that I, Yahweh, have drawn my sword from its sheath. It will no longer hold back!'

6 “നീയോ മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, തകർന്ന ഹൃദയത്തോടും കഠിനവ്യസനത്തോടും കൂടെ അവർ കാൺകെ നെടുവീർപ്പിടുക!

As for you, son of man, groan as your loins break! In bitterness groan before their eyes!

7 ‘നീ എന്തിനു നെടുവീർപ്പിടുന്നു?’ എന്ന് അവർ ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ‘ഒരു വാർത്ത നിമിത്തംതന്നെ; അതു സംഭവിക്കുമ്പോൾ എല്ലാ ഹൃദയങ്ങളും ഉരുകിപ്പോകും, എല്ലാ കൈകളും തളരും, എല്ലാ മനസ്സുകളും കലങ്ങിപ്പോകും, എല്ലാ കാലുകളും മൂത്രത്താൽ നനയും.’ ഇതാ, അതു വരുന്നു! അതു സംഭവിക്കും, നിശ്ചയം എന്നു കർത്താവായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.”

Then it will happen that they will ask you, 'For what reason are you groaning?' Then you will say, 'Because of the news that is coming, for every heart will faint away, and every hand will falter! Every spirit will grow faint, and every knee will flow like water. Behold! It is coming and it will be like this!—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.'”

8 പിന്നെയും യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് എനിക്ക് ഇപ്രകാരം ഉണ്ടായി:

Then the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

9 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടത്, ‘കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “‘ഒരു വാൾ, ഒരു വാൾ അതിനു മൂർച്ചകൂട്ടി മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

“Son of man, prophesy and say, 'The Lord says this: “Say: A sword! A sword! It will be sharpened and polished!

10 കൊലനടത്താൻ മൂർച്ചകൂട്ടിയും മിന്നൽപോലെ തിളങ്ങേണ്ടതിനു മിനുക്കിയുമിരിക്കുന്നു! “‘എന്റെ രാജകീയ പുത്രന്റെ ചെങ്കോലിൽ നമുക്കു ആനന്ദിക്കാമോ? ആ വാൾ ഇപ്രകാരമുള്ള എല്ലാ കോലിനെയും നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

It will be sharpened in order to engage in great slaughter! It will be polished in order to be like lightning! Should we rejoice in my son's scepter? The coming sword hates every such rod!

11 “‘കൈയിൽ വഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയുംവിധം അതിനെ മിനുക്കാൻ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; കൊലയാളിയുടെ കൈയിൽ കൊടുക്കാൻവേണ്ടി അതിനെ മൂർച്ചകൂട്ടി മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

So the sword will be given to be polished, and then to be grasped by the hand! The sword is sharpened and it is polished and it is to be given into the hand of the one who kills!”'”

12 മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിലവിളിക്കുക, വിലപിക്കുക, അത് എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്മേൽ, ഇസ്രായേലിലെ എല്ലാ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെമേലും വരും. അവർ എന്റെ ജനത്തോടുകൂടെ വാളിന് ഏൽപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ നീ മാറത്തടിച്ചു വിലപിക്കുക.

Call for help and lament, son of man! For that sword has come against my people! It is against all the leaders of Israel. They are thrown against the sword with my people. Therefore, slap your thigh!

13 “‘പരീക്ഷ അതു നിശ്ചയമായും വരും. എങ്കിലും വാളിനാൽ നിന്ദിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ചെങ്കോൽതന്നെ തുടരാതെപോയാൽ എന്താകും? എന്ന് യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാട്.’

For there is a trial, but what if the scepter does not last?—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.

14 “നീയോ മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, പ്രവചിക്കുക, നിന്റെ കൈകൾ കൂട്ടിയടിക്കുക. വാൾ, നിഹതന്മാരുടെ വാൾതന്നെ, രണ്ടുപ്രാവശ്യം വെട്ടട്ടെ, അല്ലാ മൂന്നുപ്രാവശ്യംതന്നെ. അതു സംഹാരത്തിന്റെ വാൾ— മഹാസംഹാരത്തിനുള്ള വാൾതന്നെ നാലുവശത്തുനിന്നും അവരെ വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now you, son of man, prophesy and hit your two hands together, for the sword will attack even a third time! A sword for the ones to be slaughtered! It is a sword for the many to be slaughtered, piercing them everywhere!

15 അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം ഭയത്താൽ ഉരുകിപ്പോകേണ്ടതിനും അവരുടെ വാതിൽക്കൽ ധാരാളംപേർ വീഴേണ്ടതിനും ഞാൻ തിളങ്ങുന്ന വാൾ നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു, അവരുടെ എല്ലാ കവാടങ്ങളിലും. നോക്കൂ! മിന്നൽപോലെ പതിക്കാൻ അതു നിർമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു കൊലയ്ക്കായി കൂർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

In order to melt their hearts and to multiply their fallen, I have set the sword for slaughter at all their gates. Ah! It is made like lightning, it is grasped for slaughter.

16 വലത്തോട്ടോ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ എവിടേക്കു നിന്റെ വായ്ത്തല തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നോ അവിടേക്കുതന്നെ പുറപ്പെടുക.

You, sword! Strike to the right! Strike to the left! Go wherever your face is turned.

17 ഞാനും കൈകൊട്ടി എന്റെ ക്രോധം ശമിപ്പിക്കും; യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അത് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.”

For I will also hit my two hands together, and then I will bring my fury to rest! I, Yahweh, declare it!”

18 യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് എനിക്ക് ഇപ്രകാരം ഉണ്ടായി:

The word of Yahweh came to me again, saying,

19 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ വാൾ വരേണ്ടതിന് രണ്ടുവഴികൾ അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തുക; അവ രണ്ടും ഒരു രാജ്യത്തുനിന്നുതന്നെ പുറപ്പെടും. ഒരു ചൂണ്ടുപലക ഉണ്ടാക്കി നഗരത്തിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയുടെ തലയ്ക്കൽ നാട്ടുക.

“Now you, son of man, assign two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to come. The two roads will start in the same land, and a signpost will mark one of them as leading to a city.

20 അമ്മോന്യരുടെ രബ്ബയിലേക്ക് ആ വാൾ വരേണ്ടതിന് ഒരു വഴിയും യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ കോട്ടകെട്ടി ഉറപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ജെറുശലേമിലേക്ക് വരേണ്ടതിന് മറ്റൊരു വഴിയും അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തുക.

Mark one road for the Babylonian army to come to Rabbah, the city of the Ammonites. Mark the other to lead the army to Judah and the city of Jerusalem, which is fortified.

21 കാരണം, ബാബേൽരാജാവ് വഴിത്തിരിവിങ്കൽ രണ്ടുവഴികൾ പിരിയുന്നിടത്ത് പ്രശ്നംനോക്കാൻ നിൽക്കുന്നു. അയാൾ അമ്പുകൾ കുലുക്കി തന്റെ കുലദേവന്മാരോടു ചോദിക്കുകയും ലക്ഷണമറിയാൻ യാഗമർപ്പിച്ച മൃഗത്തിന്റെ കരൾ നോക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

For the king of Babylon will stop at the crossroads, at the junction, in order to practice divination. He will shake some arrows and ask direction from some idols and he will examine a liver.

22 യന്ത്രമുട്ടികൾ സ്ഥാപിക്കാനും സംഹരിക്കുന്നതിനു കൽപ്പന പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നതിനും യുദ്ധാരവം മുഴക്കുന്നതിനും കവാടങ്ങൾക്കുനേരേ യന്ത്രമുട്ടികൾ വെക്കാനും ഉപരോധക്കോട്ട പണിത് ചുറ്റും ചരിഞ്ഞ പാത പണിതുയർത്തുന്നതിനും ജെറുശലേമിലുള്ള നറുക്ക് അയാളുടെ വലങ്കൈയിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

In his right hand will be an omen about Jerusalem, to set battering rams against it, to open his mouth to order the slaughter, to sound a war cry, to set battering rams against the gates, to build a ramp, and to erect siege towers.

23 അത് അവനോടുള്ള വിധേയത്വം ശപഥംചെയ്തവർക്ക് അത് ഒരു വ്യാജലക്ഷണമായിത്തോന്നുന്നു. എന്നാൽ അയാൾ അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം അനുസ്മരിപ്പിക്കുകയും അടിമകളായി അവരെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുകയും ചെയ്യും.

It will seem to be a useless omen in the eyes of the ones in Jerusalem, those who had sworn an oath to the Babylonians! But the king will accuse them of violating their treaty in order to besiege them!

24 “അതിനാൽ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങളുടെ ജനങ്ങൾ തങ്ങളുടെ തുറന്ന മത്സരംമൂലം നിങ്ങളുടെ എല്ലാ അകൃത്യങ്ങളും എന്നെ ഓർമപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. അവരുടെ എല്ലാ പ്രവൃത്തികളിലും പാപം പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ ഇതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ അടിമകളായി പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകപ്പെടും.

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says this: Because you have made your guilt to be remembered, making your transgressions to be revealed, so that in all your actions your sins will be seen— because you have done this you will be taken in hand.

25 “‘വഷളനും ദുഷ്ടനുമായ ഇസ്രായേൽ പ്രഭുവേ, നിന്റെ നാൾ ഇതാ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ശിക്ഷാവിധിയുടെ നാൾ അതിന്റെ പരമകാഷ്ഠയിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

As for you, profane and wicked ruler of Israel, whose day of punishment has come, and whose time of committing iniquity has ended,

26 യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിന്റെ തലപ്പാവും കിരീടവും എടുത്തുമാറ്റുക; കാര്യങ്ങൾക്കു മാറ്റം സംഭവിക്കണം. താണത് ഉയർത്തപ്പെടുകയും ഉയർന്നത് താഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.

the Lord Yahweh says this to you: Remove the turban and take off the crown! Things will no longer be the same! Exalt the lowly and humble the exalted!

27 ഉന്മൂലനാശം! ഉന്മൂലനാശം! ഞാൻ അതിന് ഉന്മൂലനാശമാക്കും! അവകാശമുള്ളവൻ വരുവോളം കിരീടം പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കപ്പെടാതിരിക്കും; അവനു ഞാൻ അതു നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യും.’

A ruin! A ruin! I will make it a ruin! It will not be restored until the one comes who is assigned to execute judgment.

28 “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ ഇപ്രകാരം പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയുക: അമ്മോന്യരെപ്പറ്റിയും അവരുടെ പരിഹാസത്തെപ്പറ്റിയും യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “‘സംഹാരത്തിനായി ഒരു വാൾ, ഒരു വാൾ ഊരിയിരിക്കുന്നു, മിന്നൽപോലെ വിളങ്ങേണ്ടതിന് അതു തേച്ചു മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു!

So you, son of man, prophesy and say, 'The Lord Yahweh says this to the people of Ammon concerning their coming disgrace: A sword, a sword is drawn! It is sharpened for the slaughter in order to devour, so it will be like lightning!

29 നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് വ്യാജദർശനങ്ങൾ ദർശിക്കുകയും വ്യാജദേവപ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ദുഷ്ടരായ വധിക്കപ്പെടാനുള്ളവരുടെ കഴുത്തിൽ അതു പ്രയോഗിക്കും. അവരുടെ ദിവസം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു, ശിക്ഷാവിധിയുടെ നാൾ അതിന്റെ പരമകാഷ്ഠയിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

While prophets see empty visions for you, while they perform rituals to come up with lies for you, this sword will lie on the necks of the wicked who are about to be killed, whose day of punishment has come and whose time of iniquity is about to end.

30 “‘ആ വാൾ ഉറയിൽ ഇടുക; നീ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട സ്ഥലത്തുതന്നെ, നിന്റെ ജന്മദേശത്തുതന്നെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കും.

Return the sword to its sheath. In the place of your creation, in the land of your origin, I will judge you!

31 ഞാൻ എന്റെ ക്രോധം നിന്റെമേൽ ചൊരിയും; എന്റെ ക്രോധാഗ്നിയെ നിന്റെമേൽ ഊതും; സംഹരിക്കുന്നതിൽ വൈദഗ്ദ്ധ്യമുള്ള ക്രൂരന്മാരുടെ കൈയിൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കും.

I will pour out my indignation on you! I will fan the fire of my rage against you and put you into the hand of cruel men, craftsmen of destruction!

32 നീ അഗ്നിക്ക് ഇന്ധനമായിത്തീരും; നിന്റെ രക്തം നിന്റെ ദേശത്തുതന്നെ ചൊരിയപ്പെടും. ആരും ഇനി നിന്നെ ഓർക്കുകയില്ല; യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അതു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.’”

You will become fuel for the fire! Your blood will be in the midst of the land. You will not be remembered, for I, Yahweh have declared this!'”
