പുറപ്പാട് 15

1 ഈ സംഭവത്തിനുശേഷം മോശയും ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളും യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഈ ഗീതം ആലപിച്ചു: “ഞാൻ യഹോവയ്ക്കു പാടും, അവിടന്ന് പരമോന്നതനല്ലോ. അശ്വത്തെയും അശ്വാരൂഢനെയും അവിടന്ന് ആഴിയിലേക്ക് ചുഴറ്റിയെറിഞ്ഞു.

Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song vnto the Lord, and sayd in this maner, I will sing vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and him that rode vpon him hath he ouerthrowen in the Sea.

2 “യഹോവ എന്റെ ബലവും എന്റെ ഗീതവും ആകുന്നു; അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ രക്ഷയായിരിക്കുന്നു. അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ ദൈവം, ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കും. അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവം, ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ പുകഴ്ത്തും.

The Lord is my strength and praise, and he is become my saluation. He is my God, and I will prepare him a tabernacle. he is my fathers God, and I will exalt him.

3 യഹോവ യുദ്ധവീരനാകുന്നു; യഹോവ എന്നാകുന്നു അവിടത്തെ നാമം.

The Lord is a man of warre, his Name is Iehouah.

4 ഫറവോന്റെ രഥങ്ങളെയും അയാളുടെ സൈന്യത്തെയും അവിടന്നു സമുദ്രത്തിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. ഫറവോന്റെ സൈന്യാധിപന്മാരിൽ മികവുറ്റവർ ചെങ്കടലിൽ മുങ്ങിത്താണുപോയി.

Pharaohs charets and his host hath he cast into the Sea: his chosen captaines also were drowned in the red Sea.

5 അഗാധജലം അവരെ മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവർ കല്ലുപോലെ ആഴങ്ങളിലേക്കു താണുപോയി.

The depths haue couered them, they sanke to the bottome as a stone.

6 യഹോവേ, അവിടത്തെ വലങ്കൈ അത്യന്തം ശ്രേഷ്ഠവും ബലവും ഉള്ളത്! യഹോവേ, അവിടത്തെ വലങ്കൈ ശത്രുവിനെ ചിതറിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Thy right hande, O Lord, is glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath brused the enemie.

7 “അവിടത്തോട് എതിർത്തവരെ അവിടത്തെ രാജകീയ പ്രഭാവത്താൽ അങ്ങ് വീഴ്ത്തിക്കളഞ്ഞു. അവിടന്നു ക്രോധാഗ്നി അയച്ചു; അതു വൈക്കോൽക്കുറ്റിപോലെ അവരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

And in thy great glorie thou hast ouerthrowen them that rose against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as the stubble.

8 അവിടത്തെ ശക്തമായ ഉച്ഛ്വാസത്താൽ വെള്ളം കൂമ്പാരമായി ഉയർന്നു; ഇരച്ചുകയറുന്ന ജലപ്രവാഹങ്ങൾ മതിൽപോലെ ഉറച്ചുനിന്നു; അഗാധപ്രവാഹങ്ങൾ ആഴിയുടെ അന്തർഭാഗത്ത് ഉറഞ്ഞുപോയി.

And by the blast of thy nostrels the waters were gathered, the floods stoode still as an heape, the depthes congealed together in the heart of the Sea.

9 ‘ഞാൻ പിൻതുടരും, ഞാൻ അവരെ കീഴടക്കും,’ എന്നു ശത്രു അഹങ്കരിച്ചു. ‘കൊള്ളമുതൽ പങ്കിടും, ഞാൻതന്നെ അവരെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയും, എന്റെ വാൾ ഊരിയെടുത്ത് എന്റെ കൈകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കും എന്നുംതന്നെ.’

The enemie sayd, I wil pursue, I wil ouertake them, I will deuide the spoyle, my lust shall bee satisfied vpon them, I will drawe my sworde, mine hand shall destroy them.

10 എന്നാൽ, അവിടന്നു തന്റെ ശ്വാസത്താൽ അവരെ ഊതിപ്പറപ്പിച്ചു; സമുദ്രം അവരെ മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു. അവർ ഈയംപോലെ ആഴിയിൽ ആഴ്ന്നുപോയി.

Thou blewest with thy winde, the Sea couered them, they sanke as leade in the mightie waters.

11 യഹോവേ, ദേവന്മാരിൽ അവിടത്തേക്കു സദൃശനായി ആരുള്ളൂ? വിശുദ്ധിയിൽ രാജപ്രൗഢിയുള്ളവൻ! തേജസ്സിൽ ഭയങ്കരൻ! അത്ഭുതങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ! അങ്ങേക്കു തുല്യനായി ആരുള്ളൂ?

Who is like vnto thee, O Lord, among the Gods! who is like thee so glorious in holinesse, fearefull in prayses, doing wonders!

12 “അവിടന്നു വലങ്കൈ നീട്ടുകയും ഭൂമി അവരെ വിഴുങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Thou stretchedst out thy right hande, the earth swallowed them.

13 അവിടന്നു വീണ്ടെടുത്ത ജനത്തെ ആർദ്രസ്നേഹത്തോടെ അങ്ങു നയിക്കും. അവിടത്തെ വിശുദ്ധനിവാസത്തിലേക്ക് അവരെ സ്വന്തം ശക്തിയാൽ അവിടന്നു വഴിനടത്തും.

Thou wilt by thy mercie cary this people, which thou deliueredst: thou wilt bring them in thy strength vnto thine holy habitation.

14 ജനതകൾ കേട്ടു വിറയ്ക്കും, ഫെലിസ്ത്യനിവാസികൾക്കു ഭീതിപിടിക്കും.

The people shall heare and be afraide: sorow shall come vpon the inhabitants of Palestina.

15 ഏദോമിലെ പ്രമുഖന്മാർ ഭയന്നുവിറയ്ക്കും, മോവാബിലെ നേതാക്കന്മാർ വിറകൊള്ളും, കനാനിലെ ജനങ്ങൾ ഉരുകിപ്പോകും;

Then the dukes of Edom shalbe amased, and trembling shall come vpon the great men of Moab: all the inhabitantes of Canaan shall waxe faint hearted.

16 ഭീതിയും സംഭ്രമവും അവർക്കുണ്ടാകും. യഹോവേ, അവിടത്തെ ജനം കടന്നുപോകുന്നതുവരെ അവിടന്നു വിലകൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങിയ ജനം കടന്നുപോകുന്നതുവരെ, അവിടത്തെ ഭുജബലംനിമിത്തം അവർ കല്ലുപോലെ നിശ്ചലരാകും.

Feare and dread shall fall vpon them: because of the greatnesse of thine arme, they shalbe stil as a stone, till thy people passe, O Lord: til this people passe, which thou hast purchased.

17 യഹോവേ, അവിടന്ന് അവരെ അകത്തുകൊണ്ടുവന്ന് അവിടത്തെ അവകാശമായ പർവതത്തിൽ നട്ടുപിടിപ്പിക്കും. ആ സ്ഥലം, യഹോവേ, അങ്ങേക്കു വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്, തൃക്കരം സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള വിശുദ്ധനിവാസംതന്നെ.

Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountaine of thine inheritance, which is the place that thou hast prepared, O Lord, for to dwell in, euen the sanctuarie, O Lord, which thine hands shall establish.

18 “യഹോവ വാഴും എന്നും എന്നേക്കും.”

The Lord shall reigne for euer and euer.

19 ഫറവോന്റെ കുതിരകളും രഥങ്ങളും കുതിരക്കാരും കടലിന്റെ ഉള്ളിലേക്കു കടന്നപ്പോൾ യഹോവ വെള്ളം തിരികെ അവർക്കുമീതേ വരുത്തി; ഇസ്രായേല്യരോ, കടലിൽ ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തുകൂടി നടന്നു.

For Pharaohs horses went with his charets and horsemen into the Sea, and the Lord brought the waters of the Sea vpon them: but the children of Israel went on drie land in the middes of the Sea.

20 അപ്പോൾ പ്രവാചികയും അഹരോന്റെ സഹോദരിയുമായ മിര്യാം കൈയിൽ ഒരു തപ്പെടുത്തു; സ്ത്രീകൾ എല്ലാവരും തപ്പുകളെടുത്തും നൃത്തംചെയ്തും അവളെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

And Miriam the prophetesse, sister of Aaron tooke a timbrell in her hande, and all the women came out after her with timbrels and daunces.

21 മിര്യാം അവർക്കു പാടിക്കൊടുത്തു: “യഹോവയ്ക്കു പാടുക, അവിടന്ന് പരമോന്നതനല്ലോ. അശ്വത്തെയും അശ്വാരൂഢനെയും അവിടന്ന് ആഴിയിൽ ചുഴറ്റിയെറിഞ്ഞു.”

And Miriam answered the men, Sing yee vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath hee ouerthrowen in the Sea.

22 ഇതിനുശേഷം മോശ ഇസ്രായേലിനെ ചെങ്കടലിൽനിന്ന് മുമ്പോട്ടുകൊണ്ടുപോയി. അവർ ശൂർ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ എത്തി. വെള്ളം കണ്ടെത്താതെ അവർ മൂന്നുദിവസം മരുഭൂമിയിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

Then Moses brought Israel from the redde Sea, and they went out into the wildernesse of Shur: and they went three dayes in the wildernesse, and found no waters.

23 അവർ മാറായിൽ എത്തി, മാറായിലെ വെള്ളം കയ്‌പുള്ളതായിരുന്നതിനാൽ അവർക്ക് അതു കുടിക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. (അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ആ സ്ഥലത്തിനു മാറാ എന്നു പറയുന്നത്.)

And whe they came to Marah, they could not drinke of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of the place was called Marah.

24 “ഞങ്ങൾ ഇനി എന്തു കുടിക്കും?” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് ജനം മോശയ്ക്കു വിരോധമായി പിറുപിറുത്തു.

Then the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drinke?

25 അപ്പോൾ മോശ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു. യഹോവ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഒരു വൃക്ഷശിഖരം കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു. മോശ അതു വെള്ളത്തിൽ ഇട്ടു; വെള്ളം മധുരമുള്ളതായി. അവിടെവെച്ച് യഹോവ അവർക്കായി ഒരു കൽപ്പനയും നിയമവും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അവിടെ യഹോവ അവരെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു.

And he cried vnto the Lord, and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were sweete: there he made them an ordinance and a law, and there he proued them,

26 അവിടന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: “നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം നിങ്ങൾ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേൾക്കുകയും അവിടത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ യോഗ്യമായതു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമെങ്കിൽ, അവിടത്തെ കൽപ്പനകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുകയും സകല ഉത്തരവുകളും പാലിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമെങ്കിൽ, ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാരുടെമേൽ ഞാൻ വരുത്തിയ വ്യാധികളിൽ ഒന്നുപോലും നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വരുത്തുകയില്ല; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.”

And sayd, if thou wilt diligently hearken, O Israel, vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that, which is right in his sight, and wilt giue eare vnto his commandements, and keepe all his ordinances, then will I put none of these diseases vpon thee, which I brought vpon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

27 പിന്നെ അവർ ഏലീമിൽ എത്തി. അവിടെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു നീരുറവകളും എഴുപത് ഈന്തപ്പനകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവർ അവിടെ വെള്ളത്തിനരികെ പാളയമടിച്ചു.

And they came to Elim, where were twelue fountaines of water, and seuentie palme trees, and they camped thereby the waters.
