എഫെസ്യർ 2
1 നിങ്ങൾ സ്വന്തം നിയമലംഘനങ്ങളിലും പാപങ്ങളിലും മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്നു:
And you hath he quickened, that were dead in trespasses and sinnes,
2 അവയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ മുമ്പ് ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ വഴികൾ പിൻതുടർന്ന്, ആകാശത്തിലെ അന്ധകാരശക്തിയുടെ പ്രഭുവിനെ, അനുസരണക്കേടിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ഇപ്പോൾ പ്രവർത്തനനിരതമായിരിക്കുന്ന ആത്മാവിനെത്തന്നെ, അനുസരിച്ച് ജീവിച്ചുവന്നു. (aiōn g165)
Wherein, in times past ye walked, according to the course of this world, and after the prince that ruleth in the aire, euen the spirite, that nowe worketh in the children of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
3 ഇപ്രകാരം നാം എല്ലാവരും ഒരിക്കൽ നമ്മുടെ ജഡികാഭിലാഷങ്ങളിൽ അഭിരമിച്ച് അതിന്റെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കും ചിന്തകൾക്കും അധീനരായി ജീവിച്ചു. മറ്റുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെതന്നെ നാമും പ്രകൃതിയാൽ ക്രോധപാത്രങ്ങൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
Among whom we also had our conuersation in time past, in the lustes of our flesh, in fulfilling the will of the flesh, and of the minde, and were by nature the children of wrath, as well as others.
4 എന്നിട്ടും കരുണയിൽ അതിസമ്പന്നനായ ദൈവം, നമ്മോടുള്ള അവിടത്തെ അതിരില്ലാത്ത സ്നേഹംനിമിത്തം, നാം നിയമലംഘനങ്ങളിൽ മൃതരായിരുന്നപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ
But God which is rich in mercie, through his great loue wherewith he loued vs,
5 ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ നമ്മെ ജീവനുള്ളവരാക്കി; ദൈവകൃപയാലാണ് നിങ്ങൾ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്.
Euen when we were dead by sinnes, hath quickened vs together in Christ, by whose grace ye are saued,
6 ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനോടുകൂടി ദൈവം നമ്മെ ഉയിർപ്പിച്ച് സ്വർഗത്തിൽ അവിടത്തോടൊപ്പം നമ്മെ ഇരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
And hath raysed vs vp together, and made vs sit together in the heauenly places in Christ Iesus,
7 അവിടന്ന് ഇപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തത്, നമ്മോടുള്ള ദയയാൽ, ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലൂടെ നമുക്ക് കൃപയുടെ അതുല്യമായ സമൃദ്ധി വരുംകാലങ്ങളിൽ പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനു വേണ്ടിയായിരുന്നു. (aiōn g165)
That he might shewe in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, through his kindnesse toward vs in Christ Iesus. (aiōn g165)
8 കൃപയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; അതു വിശ്വാസത്തിലൂടെയാണ്. നിങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിച്ചതല്ല ആ രക്ഷ; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനമാണ്.
For by grace are ye saued through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God,
9 ഈ രക്ഷ എന്നത് നാം ചെയ്ത സൽപ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ പ്രതിഫലമായിട്ടല്ല ലഭിക്കുന്നത്. അങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ നമുക്ക് ആത്മപ്രശംസ ചെയ്യാൻ വകയുണ്ടാകുമായിരുന്നു.
Not of workes, least any man should boast himselfe.
10 നാം ദൈവകരങ്ങളുടെ സൃഷ്ടിവൈദഗ്ദ്ധ്യമാണ്. സൽപ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായിട്ടാണ് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ നാം സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്, അപ്രകാരം ചെയ്യുന്നതിന് ദൈവം മുൻകൂട്ടി തീരുമാനിച്ചതുമാണ്.
For we are his workemanship created in Christ Iesus vnto good workes, which God hath ordeined, that we should walke in them.
11 ആകയാൽ, ജന്മനാ നിങ്ങൾ “യെഹൂദേതരർ” ആയിരുന്നെന്ന് ഓർക്കുക. അന്ന്, കൈകൊണ്ടുള്ള പരിച്ഛേദനം ശരീരത്തിൽ സ്വീകരിച്ചിരുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാർ നിങ്ങളെ “പരിച്ഛേദനം ഇല്ലാത്ത അശുദ്ധർ” എന്നു വിളിച്ചിരുന്നു.
Wherefore remember that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, and called vncircumcision of them, which are called circumcision in the flesh, made with hands,
12 ആ കാലത്തു നിങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അറിയാത്തവരും ഇസ്രായേൽ പൗരത്വത്തിന് അന്യരും വാഗ്ദാനസമേതമുള്ള ദൈവികഉടമ്പടികളിൽ ഓഹരിയില്ലാത്തവരും ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ ദൈവവുമായി യാതൊരു ബന്ധവുമില്ലാത്ത പ്രത്യാശാരഹിതരും ആയിരുന്നു.
That ye were, I say, at that time without Christ, and were alients from the common wealth of Israel, and were strangers from the couenants of promise, and had no hope, and were without God in the world.
13 നിങ്ങൾ ഒരിക്കൽ ദൂരത്തായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോഴാകട്ടെ, ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനോട് ഏകീഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രക്തത്താൽ സമീപത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
But nowe in Christ Iesus, ye which once were farre off, are made neere by the blood of Christ.
14 ക്രിസ്തുതന്നെ നമ്മുടെ സമാധാനം; അവിടന്ന് ക്രൂശിൽ സ്വന്തം ശരീരം അർപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ആജ്ഞകളും അനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങളും ആകുന്ന ന്യായപ്രമാണം റദ്ദാക്കി യെഹൂദരെയും യെഹൂദേതരരെയും അകറ്റിനിർത്തിയിരുന്ന ശത്രുതയുടെ വന്മതിലിനെ തകർത്ത് അവരെ ഒന്നാക്കിമാറ്റി; ഇങ്ങനെ ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ ഒരു പുതിയ ജനതയാക്കി അവരെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച് സമാധാനം വരുത്തി.
For he is our peace, which hath made of both one, and hath broken the stoppe of the partition wall,
In abrogating through his flesh the hatred, that is, the Lawe of commandements which standeth in ordinances, for to make of twaine one newe man in himselfe, so making peace,
16 ക്രൂശിലെ മരണത്താൽ ഇരുകൂട്ടരെയും ഒരു ശരീരമാക്കി ദൈവത്തോട് അനുരഞ്ജിപ്പിച്ച് അവരുടെ ശത്രുത ഇല്ലായ്മചെയ്തു.
And that he might reconcile both vnto God in one body by his crosse, and slay hatred thereby,
17 അവിടന്ന് വന്നു ദൂരസ്ഥരായ നിങ്ങളോടും സമീപസ്ഥരായ ഞങ്ങളോടും സമാധാനം പ്രഘോഷിച്ചു.
And came, and preached peace to you which were afarre off, and to them that were neere.
18 ക്രിസ്തു മുഖാന്തരം നമുക്ക് ഇരുകൂട്ടർക്കും ഒരേ ആത്മാവിൽ പിതാവിങ്കലേക്കു പ്രവേശനം ഉണ്ട്.
For through him we both haue an entrance vnto the Father by one Spirit.
19 അതിനാൽ, നിങ്ങൾ ഇനിമേൽ അപരിചിതരും വിദേശികളുമല്ല; വിശുദ്ധരോടൊത്ത് സഹപൗരത്വം പങ്കിടുന്നവരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കുടുംബവുമാണ്.
Nowe therefore ye are no more strangers and forreiners: but citizens with the Saintes, and of the houshold of God,
20 ക്രിസ്തുയേശു എന്ന ആധാരശിലയോടു ചേർത്ത് അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും എന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേൽ പണിയപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഭവനം.
And are built vpon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Iesus Christ himselfe being the chiefe corner stone,
21 ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ കെട്ടിടം ഒന്നാകെ നന്നായി ഇണങ്ങിച്ചേർന്ന് കർത്താവിൽ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരമായി വളരുന്നു.
In whom all the building coupled together, groweth vnto an holy Temple in the Lord.
22 നിങ്ങളും ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മികനിവാസസ്ഥാനമാകേണ്ടതിന് ഒരുമിച്ചു ചേർത്ത് പണിയപ്പെടുന്നു.
In whom ye also are built together to be the habitation of God by the Spirit.
