ആവർത്തനപുസ്തകം 27
1 ഇതിനുശേഷം മോശയും ഇസ്രായേൽഗോത്രത്തലവന്മാരും ജനത്തോടു കൽപ്പിച്ചു: “ഇന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു കൽപ്പിക്കുന്ന സകലപ്രമാണങ്ങളും പാലിക്കുക.
Moses [Drawn out] and the elders of Israel [God prevails] enjoined the people, saying, “Keep all the mitzvot ·instructions· and statutes which I enjoin you today.
2 നിങ്ങൾ യോർദാൻ കടന്ന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നൽകുന്ന ദേശത്ത് എത്തുമ്പോൾ വലിയ കല്ലുകൾ പടുത്തുയർത്തി അതിൽ കുമ്മായം തേക്കണം.
It shall be on the day when you shall pass over the Jordan [Descender] to the land which Adonai your God gives you, that you shall set yourself up great stones, and coat them with plaster.
3 നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വാഗ്ദാനംചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നൽകുന്ന പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്ത് ഈ നദികടന്നു പ്രവേശിക്കുമ്പോൾ നീ ഈ നിയമത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെല്ലാം അവയിൽ എഴുതണം.
You shall write on them all the words of this Torah ·Teaching·, when you have passed over; that you may go in to the land which Adonai your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Adonai, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
4 അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ യോർദാൻ കടന്നശേഷം ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു കൽപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഈ കല്ലുകൾ ഏബാൽപർവതത്തിൽ നാട്ടുകയും അവയിൽ കുമ്മായം തേക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണം.
It shall be, when you have crossed over the Jordan [Descender], that you shall set up these stones, which I enjoin you today, on Mount Ebal, and you shall coat them with plaster.
5 അവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്കു കല്ലുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിയണം. അതിൽ ഇരുമ്പുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ആയുധം സ്പർശിക്കരുത്.
There you shall build an altar to Adonai your God, an altar of stones. You shall not use any iron tool on them.
6 ചെത്തിമിനുക്കാത്ത കല്ലുകൊണ്ട് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് യാഗപീഠം പണിത് അതിന്മേൽനിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഹോമയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കണം.
You shall build Adonai your God’s altar of uncut stones. You shall offer burnt offerings on it to Adonai your God.
7 അവിടെ സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിച്ച് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഭക്ഷിക്കുകയും ആനന്ദിക്കുകയും വേണം.
You shall sacrifice peace offerings, and shall eat there. You shall rejoice before Adonai your God.
8 നീ ഉയർത്തിയ കല്ലുകളിൽ ഈ നിയമത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ വളരെ വ്യക്തമായി എഴുതണം.”
You shall write on the stones all the words of this Torah ·Teaching· very plainly.”
9 മോശയും ലേവ്യരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും എല്ലാ ഇസ്രായേൽജനത്തോടും ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു: “ഇസ്രായേലേ, നിശ്ശബ്ദരായിരുന്നു ശ്രവിക്കുക, ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ജനമായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
Moses [Drawn out] and the priests the Levites [Descendants of United with] spoke to all Israel [God prevails], saying, “Be silent, and sh'ma ·hear obey·, Israel [God prevails]! Today you have become the people of Adonai your God.
10 അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങൾ അനുസരിക്കുകയും ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു കൽപ്പിക്കുന്ന അവിടത്തെ സകലനിയമങ്ങളും ഉത്തരവുകളും പ്രമാണിക്കുകയും വേണം.”
You shall therefore sh'ma ·hear obey· Adonai your God’s voice, and do his instructions and his statutes, which I enjoin you today.”
11 ആ ദിവസം മോശ വീണ്ടും ജനത്തോടു കൽപ്പിച്ചു:
Moses [Drawn out] enjoined the people the same day, saying,
12 നിങ്ങൾ യോർദാൻനദി കടന്നശേഷം ജനത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കാൻ ഗെരിസീം പർവതത്തിൽ നിൽക്കേണ്ട ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ഇവരാണ്: ശിമെയോൻ, ലേവി, യെഹൂദാ, യിസ്സാഖാർ, യോസേഫ്, ബെന്യാമീൻ.
“These shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you have crossed over the Jordan [Descender]: Simeon [Hearing], Levi [United with], Judah [Praised], Issachar [Hire, Reward], Joseph [May he add], and Benjamin [Son of right hand, Son of south].
13 ശാപം ഉച്ചരിക്കാൻ ഏബാൽപർവതത്തിൽ നിൽക്കേണ്ട ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ഇവരാണ്: രൂബേൻ, ഗാദ്, ആശേർ, സെബൂലൂൻ, ദാൻ, നഫ്താലി.
These shall stand on Mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben [See, a son!], Gad [Good fortune], Asher [Happy], Zebulun [Living together], Dan [He judged], and Naphtali [My wrestling].
14 ലേവ്യർ എല്ലാ ഇസ്രായേല്യരോടും ഇപ്രകാരം ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചുപറയണം:
With a loud voice, the Levites [Descendants of United with] shall say to all the men of Israel [God prevails],
15 “ശില്പിയുടെ കരകൗശലമായി യഹോവയ്ക്ക് വെറുപ്പുള്ള പ്രതിമ കൊത്തിയുണ്ടാക്കുകയോ വിഗ്രഹം വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്ത് അവയെ രഹസ്യമായി പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is the man who makes an engraved or molten image, an abomination to Adonai, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ All the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
16 “പിതാവിനെയോ മാതാവിനെയോ ബഹുമാനിക്കാത്തവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who dishonors his father or his mother.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
17 “അയൽവാസിയുടെ അതിർത്തിക്കല്ലു നീക്കുന്നവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who removes his neighbor’s landmark.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
18 “അന്ധരെ വഴിതെറ്റിക്കുന്നവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who leads the blind astray, intoxicated, unintentional sin ·error· on the road.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
19 “പ്രവാസികളുടെയും അനാഥരുടെയും വിധവയുടെയും ന്യായം മറച്ചുകളയുന്നവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who withholds mishpat ·justice· from the foreigner, orphan, and widow.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
20 “പിതാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയോടുകൂടെ ലൈംഗികബന്ധത്തിലേർപ്പെടുന്നവർ, പിതാവിന്റെ കിടക്ക മലിനപ്പെടുത്തിയതുകൊണ്ട് ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who lies with his father’s wife, because he dishonors his father’s bed.’ ‘All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
21 “ഏതെങ്കിലും മൃഗത്തോടുകൂടെ ലൈംഗികബന്ധത്തിലേർപ്പെടുന്നവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who lies with any kind of animal.’ ‘All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
22 “പിതാവിന്റെ മകളോ മാതാവിന്റെ മകളോ ആയ തന്റെ സഹോദരിയോടുകൂടെ ലൈംഗികബന്ധത്തിലേർപ്പെടുന്നവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who lies with his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter.’ ‘All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
23 “അമ്മായിയമ്മയോടുകൂടെ ലൈംഗികബന്ധത്തിലേർപ്പെടുന്നവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who lies with his mother-in-law.’ ‘All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
24 “അയൽവാസിയെ രഹസ്യമായി കൊല്ലുന്നവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who secretly kills his neighbor.’ ‘All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
25 “നിരപരാധിയായ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ കൊല്ലുന്നതിനു കൈക്കൂലി വാങ്ങുന്നവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen ·So be it·.’
26 “ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങൾ പ്രമാണിച്ച് അനുസരിക്കാത്തവർ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ.” ജനമെല്ലാം “ആമേൻ” എന്നു പറയണം.
‘Cursed is he who does not uphold the words of this Torah ·Teaching· by doing them.’ ‘All the people shall say, “Amen ·So be it·.’”
