2 തിമൊഥെയൊസ് 4

1 ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരെയും മരിച്ചവരെയും ന്യായംവിധിച്ച് തിരുരാജ്യം സ്ഥാപിക്കാൻ പ്രത്യക്ഷനാകുന്ന ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെയും സന്നിധിയിൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുകയാണ്:

I give this solemn command before God and Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and because of his appearing and his kingdom:

2 തിരുവചനം ഘോഷിക്കുക; അനുകൂലസമയത്തും പ്രതികൂലസമയത്തും അതിന് സന്നദ്ധനായിരിക്കുക. വളരെ ക്ഷമയോടെ ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് തെറ്റുകൾ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുക, ശാസിക്കുക, പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുക.

Preach the word; be ready when it is convenient and when it is not. Reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all patience and teaching.

3 മനുഷ്യർ നിർമലോപദേശം ഉൾക്കൊള്ളാൻ വിമുഖരായിട്ട് തങ്ങളുടെ അഭിരുചിക്കനുസൃതമായി ഇമ്പമുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞുകേൾപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കളെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടുന്ന കാലം വരും.

For the time will come when people will not endure sound teaching. Instead, they will heap up for themselves teachers according to their own desires, who say what their itching ears want to hear.

4 അന്ന് അവർ സത്യത്തിനു പുറംതിരിഞ്ഞ്, കെട്ടുകഥകളിലേക്കു ശ്രദ്ധതിരിക്കും.

They will turn their hearing away from the truth, and they will turn aside to myths.

5 നീയോ സകലത്തിലും ആത്മസംയമനം പാലിക്കുക, കഷ്ടത സഹിക്കുക, ഒരു സുവിശേഷകന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിചെയ്യുക, നിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷ പരിപൂർണമായി നിർവഹിക്കുക.

But you, be sober-minded in all things. Suffer hardship; do the work of an evangelist; fulfill your service.

6 ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ പാനീയയാഗമായി അർപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അന്തിമയാത്രയ്ക്കുള്ള സമയവും ആസന്നമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

I have competed in the good contest; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.

The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and will save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
