2 പത്രൊസ് 2
1 എന്നാൽ വ്യാജപ്രവാചകരും ജനമധ്യത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതുപോലെതന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യത്തിലും വ്യാജഗുരുക്കൾ ഉണ്ടാകും. അവർ രഹസ്യമായി നാശകരമായ ദുരുപദേശങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിക്കും; അവരെ വിലയ്ക്കു വാങ്ങിയ പരമനാഥനെ നിഷേധിക്കുകപോലും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് അവർ തങ്ങളുടെമേൽ അതിവേഗം നാശം വരുത്തിവെക്കും.
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be among you lying teachers, who shall bring in sects of perdition, and deny the Lord who bought them: bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
2 അവരുടെ ഈ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവണതയെ പലരും പിൻതുടരും; അവർ സത്യമാർഗത്തിന് അപമാനം വരുത്തും.
And many shall follow their riotousnesses, through whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 അവർ അതിമോഹത്തോടെ സ്വയംമെനഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ഉപദേശങ്ങളാൽ നിങ്ങളെ ചൂഷണം ചെയ്യും. മുമ്പേതന്നെ നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ട ശിക്ഷാവിധി അവരുടെമേൽ നിപതിക്കും, അതിന് കാലതാമസവും ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല.
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you. Whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their perdition slumbereth not.
4 പാപംചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ദൂതന്മാരെപ്പോലും ദൈവം ഒഴിവാക്കാതെ അവരെ അന്ധകാരത്തിന്റെ ചങ്ങലയാൽ ബന്ധിച്ച്, ന്യായവിധിക്കായി തടവറയിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. (Tartaroō g5020)
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but delivered them, drawn down by infernal ropes to the lower hell, unto torments, to be reserved unto judgment: (Tartaroō g5020)
5 അവിടന്ന് പൗരാണിക ലോകത്തെയും ഒഴിവാക്കിയില്ല. അഭക്തരുടെ ലോകത്തെ പ്രളയത്തിലാഴ്ത്തിയപ്പോൾ ദൈവനീതിയുടെ പ്രഭാഷകനായ നോഹയടക്കം എട്ടുപേരെമാത്രമാണ് സംരക്ഷിച്ചത്.
And spared not the original world, but preserved Noe, the eighth person, the preacher of justice, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.
6 ദൈവം സൊദോം, ഗൊമോറാ എന്നീ നഗരങ്ങളെ ശിക്ഷിച്ച് ഭസ്മീകരിച്ച് ഉന്മൂലനാശംവരുത്തി; ഇവർ അഭക്തർക്കു ഭവിക്കാനിരിക്കുന്നവെക്ക് ഒരു നിദർശനമാണ്.
And reducing the cities of the Sodomites, and of the Gomorrhites, into ashes, condemned them to be overthrown, making them an example to those that should after act wickedly.
7 എന്നാൽ, നിയമനിഷേധികളുടെ അതിരുവിട്ട അധാർമികതകൾമൂലം ഹൃദയവ്യഥ അനുഭവിച്ച നീതിനിഷ്ഠനായ ലോത്തിനെ ദൈവം സംരക്ഷിച്ചു.
And delivered just Lot, oppressed by the injustice and lewd conversation of the wicked.
8 നീതിനിഷ്ഠനായ അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ വസിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ അധാർമികപ്രവൃത്തികൾ അനുദിനം കാണുകയും കേൾക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അത് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നീതിനിഷ്ഠമായ മനസ്സിനെ അതിവ്യഥയാൽ തകർത്തു.
For in sight and hearing he was just: dwelling among them, who from day to day vexed the just soul with unjust works.
9 പരിശോധനകളിൽനിന്ന് ദൈവഭക്തരെ എങ്ങനെ പരിരക്ഷിക്കണമെന്നും ശിക്ഷാവിധേയരായ അഭക്തരെ വിധിദിനംവരെ എങ്ങനെ കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിക്കണമെന്നും കർത്താവിനറിയാം;
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly from temptation, but to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be tormented.
10 പ്രത്യേകിച്ച്, കാമാസക്തിയാൽ വശീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട് ശരീരത്തെ മലീമസമാക്കുന്നവരെയും ദൈവിക അധികാരത്തെ തിരസ്കരിക്കുന്നവരെയും. തന്റേടികളും തന്നിഷ്ടക്കാരുമായ ഇവർ സ്വർഗീയജീവികളെപ്പോലും അധിക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നതിനു ഭയം ലവലേശമില്ലാത്തവരുമാണ്.
And especially them who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government, audacious, self willed, they fear not to bring in sects, blaspheming.
11 എന്നാൽ അവരെക്കാൾ ശക്തിയിലും ബലത്തിലും ഉന്നതരായ ദൂതന്മാർപോലും കർത്തൃസന്നിധിയിൽ ആ സ്വർഗീയജീവികൾക്കെതിരേ യാതൊരുവിധ ദൂഷണവും ആരോപിക്കുന്നില്ല.
Whereas angels who are greater in strength and power, bring not against themselves a railing judgment.
12 എന്നാൽ, ഈ വ്യാജ ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കളാകട്ടെ, തങ്ങൾക്ക് മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തതിനെ ദുഷിക്കുന്നു. ജന്മവാസനകളാൽമാത്രം നയിക്കപ്പെടുകയും പിടിച്ചു കശാപ്പു ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നതിനുമാത്രമായി പിറക്കുകയുംചെയ്ത യുക്തിഹീനമൃഗങ്ങളെപ്പോലെയാണ് ഇവർ. ഈ മൃഗങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ അവരും സ്വന്തം വഷളത്തത്താൽ നശിക്കുന്നു.
But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption,
13 അവർക്ക് ഭവിക്കുന്ന നാശം അവർ ചെയ്തുകൂട്ടിയ ദുഷ്കർമങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഫലമാണ്. പട്ടാപ്പകൽ ആഭാസലീലകളിൽ അഭിരമിക്കുന്നത് അഭിമാനകരമായി അവർ കരുതുന്നു. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹസൽക്കാരങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത് ആനന്ദപൂർവം ആർത്തുല്ലസിക്കുന്ന അവർ കളങ്കവും അപമാനവുമാണ്.
Receiving the reward of their injustice, counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you:
14 വ്യഭിചാരം നിറഞ്ഞ കണ്ണുകളുള്ളവരും പാപംചെയ്തു മതിവരാത്തവരും ചഞ്ചലമാനസരെ വശീകരിക്കുന്നവരും അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തിൽ വൈദഗ്ദ്ധ്യം നേടിയ ഹൃദയമുള്ളവരുമായ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ട മക്കളാണിവർ!
Having eyes full of adultery and of sin that ceaseth not: alluring unstable souls, having their heart exercised with covetousness, children of malediction:
15 നേർപാത ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് വഴിതെറ്റിപ്പോയ ഇവർ അനീതിയുടെ വേതനം മോഹിച്ച ബെയോരിന്റെ മകൻ ബിലെയാമിന്റെ മാർഗം പിൻതുടരുന്നു.
Leaving the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam of Bosor, who loved the wages of iniquity,
16 തന്റെ മാർഗഭ്രംശത്തിനു തക്ക ശകാരം അയാൾക്കു കിട്ടി; ഉരിയാടാക്കഴുത മനുഷ്യഭാഷയിൽ സംസാരിച്ച് പ്രവാചകന്റെ മതിഭ്രമം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു.
But had a check of his madness, the dumb beast used to the yoke, which speaking with man’s voice, forbade the folly of the prophet.
17 ഈ മനുഷ്യർ ഉണങ്ങിവരണ്ട അരുവികളും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു പറപ്പിക്കുന്ന മൂടൽമഞ്ഞും ആണ്. കൊടുംതമസ്സ് അവർക്കായി കരുതിവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. (questioned)
These are fountains without water, and clouds tossed with whirlwinds, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved.
18 കാരണം, തെറ്റായ മാർഗത്തിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്ന് കഷ്ടിച്ച് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടവരെ അവർ നിരർഥകങ്ങളായ പൊങ്ങച്ചവാക്കുകളാൽ അധാർമിക ജഡികാസക്തിയിലേക്കു വശീകരിക്കുന്നു.
For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:
19 അവർ സ്വയം അധാർമികതയുടെ അടിമകളായിരിക്കെ, മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം വാഗ്ദാനംചെയ്യുന്നു—കാരണം “തങ്ങളെ അടിച്ചമർത്തുന്നവക്ക് മനുഷ്യർ അടിമകളാണ്.”
Promising them liberty, whereas they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom a man is overcome, of the same also he is the slave.
20 നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവും രക്ഷിതാവുമായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനത്താൽ ലോകമാലിന്യങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടവർ വീണ്ടും അതിൽത്തന്നെ കുടുങ്ങി പരാജയപ്പെട്ടുപോയാൽ, അവരുടെ അവസാനത്തെ അവസ്ഥ ആദ്യത്തേതിനെക്കാൾ ശോചനീയമായിരിക്കും.
For if, flying from the pollutions of the world, through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they be again entangled in them and overcome: their latter state is become unto them worse than the former.
21 നീതിമാർഗം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞശേഷം തങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിച്ച വിശുദ്ധകൽപ്പനയിൽനിന്നു പിൻവാങ്ങുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ, അവർ അത് അറിയാതിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു നല്ലത്.
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of justice, than after they have known it, to turn back from that holy commandment which was delivered to them.
22 “നായ അതിന്റെ ഛർദിയിലേക്കു തിരിയുന്നു” എന്നും “കുളിപ്പിച്ചാലും പന്നി പിന്നെയും ചെളിയിൽ ഉരുളുന്നു” എന്നും ഉള്ള പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലുകൾ അവരെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് സത്യമായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
For, that of the true proverb has happened to them: The dog is returned to his vomit: and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.
