2 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 5

1 നാം ജീവിക്കുന്ന ഈ മൺകൂടാരം നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ മാനുഷികകരങ്ങളാൽ നിർമിതമല്ലാത്ത ദൈവികദാനമായ നിത്യവാസസ്ഥലം സ്വർഗത്തിലുണ്ടെന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു. (aiōnios g166)

FOR we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle should be taken down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (aiōnios g166)

2 ഈ സ്വർഗീയവാസസ്ഥലം ലഭിക്കുമെന്ന അതിവാഞ്ഛയോടെ, വാസ്തവത്തിൽ ഈ ജീവിതം ഞങ്ങൾ ഞരങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടു കഴിക്കുന്നു.

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our mansion which is from heaven;

3 ഈ വാസസ്ഥാനം ലഭിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ തീർച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങൾ നഗ്നരായി കാണപ്പെടുകയില്ല.

that so invested, we may not be found naked.

4 അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ ഈ താൽക്കാലിക ശരീരത്തിലിരിക്കുന്നിടത്തോളം ഉത്കണ്ഠയോടെ നെടുവീർപ്പിടുന്നു. പുതിയ ശരീരം ലഭിക്കാൻവേണ്ടി പഴയത് ഉരിഞ്ഞുകളയാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നല്ല; നശ്വരമായതിനുപകരം അനശ്വരമായതു ലഭിക്കാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

For we which are in this tabernacle, groan, being burdened; wherein we desire not to be unclothed, but clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life.

5 ഇതിനായി ഞങ്ങളെ ഒരുക്കി ആത്മാവെന്ന നിക്ഷേപം ആദ്യഗഡുവായി ഞങ്ങൾക്കു നൽകിയത് ദൈവമാണ്.

But he that hath wrought us for this very thing is God, who also hath given us the earnest of the spirit.

6 അതിനാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ എപ്പോഴും ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ ശരീരത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന കാലംവരെ ഞങ്ങൾ കർത്താവിൽനിന്ന് അകലെയായിരിക്കുന്നെന്ന് അറിയുന്നു.

Therefore we have always confidence, and know that whilst we are indwelling in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7 ദൃശ്യമായതിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടല്ല, അദൃശ്യമായതിൽ വിശ്വാസമർപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ ജീവിക്കുന്നത്.

(for we walk by faith, not by sight.)

8 ഈ ഉറപ്പോടെ, ശരീരം വിട്ടകന്നു കർത്താവിനോടുകൂടെ വസിക്കാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ഏറെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു.

We are confident indeed, and with pleasure expect to go out from the body, and to dwell within with the Lord:

9 അതുകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തിൽ വസിച്ചാലും ശരീരം വിട്ടാലും കർത്താവിനെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതലക്ഷ്യം.

wherefore also our ambition is, that whether dwelling in the body, or out of the body, we may be acceptable to him.

10 കാരണം ഓരോ വ്യക്തിയും ശരീരത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ചെയ്ത നന്മയ്ക്കോ തിന്മയ്ക്കോ അനുസൃതമായി പ്രതിഫലം വാങ്ങാൻ നാമെല്ലാവരും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ന്യായാസനത്തിനുമുമ്പിൽ വെളിപ്പെടേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ, that each may receive the things done in the body according to what he hath done, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

11 അതുനിമിത്തമാണ്, കർത്തൃസന്നിധിയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള ഗൗരവമേറിയ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വം മനസ്സിലാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് മറ്റുള്ളവരെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കാൻ ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നത്. ഞങ്ങളെ ദൈവം നന്നായി അറിയുന്നു. നിങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സാക്ഷിക്കും അതു വ്യക്തമാണ് എന്നു ഞാൻ കരുതുന്നു.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we have been made manifest to God, and I hope also have been made manifest in your consciences.

12 ഞങ്ങൾ പിന്നെയും ആത്മപ്രശംസ ചെയ്യുകയല്ല, പിന്നെയോ ഞങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി അഭിമാനിക്കാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അവസരം തരികയാണ്. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ ഹൃദയം നോക്കിയിട്ടല്ല, മുഖം നോക്കിയിട്ട് പുകഴുന്നവരോട് ഉത്തരം പറയാൻ സാധിക്കും.

For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion of glorying on our behalf, that ye may have an answer for those who glory in countenance, and not in heart.

13 ഞങ്ങൾ “മനോവിഭ്രാന്തിയുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ” കാണപ്പെടുന്നെങ്കിൽ അത് ദൈവഹിതം നിറവേറ്റുന്നതിലുള്ള ആവേശം നിമിത്തമാണ്. ഞങ്ങൾ സുബോധമുള്ളവരായിരിക്കുന്നത് നിങ്ങളുടെ നന്മയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടിയാണ്.

For if we are transported out of ourselves, it is for God; or if we are sober-minded, it is for your sake.

14 ഞങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കുന്നത് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സ്നേഹമാണ്. കാരണം, എല്ലാവർക്കുംവേണ്ടി ക്രിസ്തു മരിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് ഇനി നമുക്ക് സ്വന്തമായി ഒരു ജീവിതമേയില്ല.

For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we judge thus, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

15 ജീവിക്കുന്നവർ ഇനിമേൽ തങ്ങൾക്കായിട്ടല്ല, മരിച്ച് പുനരുത്ഥാനംചെയ്ത ക്രിസ്തുവിനുവേണ്ടിയാണു ജീവിക്കേണ്ടത്. അതിനായി അവിടന്ന് എല്ലാവർക്കുംവേണ്ടി മരിച്ചു.

and he died for all, that they who live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him that died for them, and rose again.

16 അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഇനിമുതൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ആരെയും മാനുഷികമാനദണ്ഡങ്ങളാൽ അളക്കുന്നില്ല. ഒരിക്കൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെയും വെറും മനുഷ്യനായി വീക്ഷിച്ചെങ്കിലും ഇനിമേൽ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല.

Wherefore from the present moment know we no man after the flesh: yea though we have also known Christ after the flesh, yet so henceforth know we him no more.

17 ഒരാൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ വകയായാൽ അയാൾ പുതിയ സൃഷ്ടിയാണത്രേ. പഴയതു നീങ്ങിപ്പോയി, ഇതാ അത് പുതിയതായിരിക്കുന്നു.

Wherefore if any person be in Christ, he is a new creation: the old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 ഇതിനൊക്കെയും ദൈവംതന്നെ കാരണഭൂതൻ. അവിടന്ന് ഞങ്ങളെ ക്രിസ്തു മുഖാന്തരം തന്നോട് അനുരഞ്ജിപ്പിച്ചു; അനുരഞ്ജനത്തിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷ ഞങ്ങളെ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

But all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 ദൈവം മനുഷ്യരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ അവർക്കെതിരായി കണക്കാക്കിയില്ല എന്നുമാത്രമല്ല, ക്രിസ്തു മുഖാന്തരം ലോകത്തെ തന്നോടുതന്നെ അനുരഞ്ജിപ്പിച്ചിട്ട് ആ അനുരഞ്ജനസന്ദേശം ഞങ്ങളെ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

namely, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing to them their offences: and hath committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സ്ഥാനപതികളായി, “ദൈവത്തോട് അനുരഞ്ജനപ്പെടുക” എന്നു ദൈവംതന്നെയാണ് ഞങ്ങളിലൂടെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനുവേണ്ടി നിങ്ങളോട് അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്.

Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God exhorted you by us; we entreat you for Christ’s sake, be ye reconciled to God.

21 തന്നിൽക്കൂടി നാം ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ കുറ്റവിമുക്തരാകേണ്ടതിന്, പാപം അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ദൈവം നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി പാപശുദ്ധീകരണയാഗമാക്കി.

For he hath made him, who knew no sin, to be a sin offering for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
