2 ദിനവൃത്താന്തം 23

1 ഏഴാംവർഷത്തിൽ യെഹോയാദാപുരോഹിതൻ ധൈര്യസമേതം മുന്നോട്ടുവന്നു; യെരോഹാമിന്റെ മകൻ അസര്യാവ്, യെഹോഹാനാന്റെ മകൻ യിശ്മായേൽ, ഓബേദിന്റെ മകൻ അസര്യാവ്, അദായാവിന്റെ മകൻ മയസേയാവ്, സിക്രിയുടെ മകൻ എലീശാഫാത്ത് എന്നീ ശതാധിപന്മാരുമായി അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു ഉടമ്പടിയുണ്ടാക്കി.

And in the year seventh he strengthened himself Jehoiada and he took [the] commanders of the hundreds to Azariah [the] son of Jeroham and to Ishmael [the] son of Jehohanan and to Azariah [the] son of Obed and with Maaseiah [the] son of Adaiah and with Elishaphat [the] son of Zikri with himself in covenant.

2 അവർ യെഹൂദ്യയിലുടനീളം സഞ്ചരിച്ച് ലേവ്യരെയും ഇസ്രായേലിലെ പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരെയും സകലനഗരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി. അവരെല്ലാം ജെറുശലേമിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ

And they went around in Judah and they gathered the Levites from all [the] cities of Judah and [the] heads of the fathers of Israel and they came to Jerusalem.

3 ആ സഭ ഒന്നടങ്കം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ച് രാജാവുമായി ഒരു ഉടമ്പടിചെയ്തു. യെഹോയാദാ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “ദാവീദിന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളെപ്പറ്റി യഹോവ വാഗ്ദാനം നൽകിയിട്ടുള്ളപ്രകാരം ഇതാ, രാജപുത്രൻ ഭരണമേൽക്കണം.

And it made all the assembly a covenant in [the] house of God with the king and he said to them here! [the] son of the king he will reign just as he spoke Yahweh on [the] sons of David.

4 നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിതാണ്: ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ഊഴംമാറിവരുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരുമായ നിങ്ങളിൽ മൂന്നിലൊരുഭാഗം കവാടങ്ങളിൽ സൂക്ഷ്മമായി കാവൽനിൽക്കണം.

This [is] the thing which you will do the third [part] of you [who] come of the sabbath to the priests and to the Levites [will become] [the] gatekeepers of the thresholds.

5 അടുത്ത മൂന്നിലൊരുഭാഗം രാജകൊട്ടാരവും ബാക്കി മൂന്നിലൊരുഭാഗം അടിസ്ഥാനകവാടത്തിങ്കലും കാവൽനിൽക്കണം. മറ്റെല്ലാവരും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അങ്കണത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം.

And the third [part] [will be] at [the] house of the king and the third [part] [will be] at [the] gate of the foundation and all the people [will be] in [the] courts of [the] house of Yahweh.

6 തങ്ങളുടെ ഊഴമനുസരിച്ചുള്ള ലേവ്യരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരുമല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചുകൂടാ. ലേവ്യരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാകുകയാൽ അവർക്കു ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കാം. ജനമെല്ലാം പുറത്തുനിന്നുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പന പാലിക്കണം.

And may not anyone go [the] house of Yahweh that except the priests and those [who] are serving of the Levites they they will go for [are] holiness they and all the people they will keep [the] duty of Yahweh.

7 ലേവ്യർ എല്ലാവരും താന്താങ്ങളുടെ ആയുധവും കൈയിലേന്തി രാജാവിനു ചുറ്റുമായി നിലയുറപ്പിക്കണം. മറ്റാരെങ്കിലും ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ കടന്നാൽ അവനെ കൊന്നുകളയണം. രാജാവ് അകത്തു വരുമ്പോഴും പുറത്തുപോകുമ്പോഴും നിങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുത്തുതന്നെ നിൽക്കണം.”

And they will surround the Levites the king all around each man and weapons his in hand his and the [one who] comes into the house he will be put to death and be with the king when comes he and when goes out he.

8 പുരോഹിതനായ യെഹോയാദാ ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചതുപോലെതന്നെ ലേവ്യരും യെഹൂദ്യരെല്ലാവരും ചെയ്തു. ശബ്ബത്തിൽ അവരുടെ ഊഴത്തിനു ഹാജരാകാൻ വരുന്നവരും ഊഴം കഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നവരും, ഓരോരുത്തരും അവരവരുടെ അനുയായികളെ കൂടെച്ചേർത്തു; കാരണം യെഹോയാദാ ആ ഗണങ്ങളെ വിട്ടയച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.

And they did the Levites and all Judah according to all that he had commanded Jehoiada the priest and they took each men his [who] were coming of the sabbath with [who] were going out of the sabbath for not he dismissed Jehoiada the priest the divisions.

9 ദാവീദുരാജാവിന്റെ വകയായിരുന്ന കുന്തങ്ങളും വലിയതും ചെറുതുമായ പരിചകളും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. യെഹോയാദാപുരോഹിതൻ അവയെടുത്ത് ശതാധിപന്മാരുടെ കൈവശം കൊടുത്തു.

And he gave Jehoiada the priest to [the] commanders of the hundreds the spears and the shields and the shields which [had belonged] to the king David which [were] [the] house of God.

10 അദ്ദേഹം ജനങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം ആയുധധാരികളാക്കി ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ തെക്കുവശംമുതൽ വടക്കുവശംവരെ, ആലയത്തിനും യാഗപീഠത്തിനും അടുത്ത് രാജാവിനു ചുറ്റും അണിനിരത്തി.

And he stationed all the people and each - weapon his [was] in hand his from [the] side of the house south to [the] side of the house north to the altar and to the house at the king all around.

11 യെഹോയാദായും പുത്രന്മാരും രാജകുമാരനെ പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ തലയിൽ കിരീടം അണിയിച്ചു. അവർ ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ ഒരു പ്രതി കുമാരന്റെ കൈയിൽ കൊടുത്തിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ രാജാവായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. അവർ രാജകുമാരനെ അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തിട്ട്, “രാജാവ് നീണാൾ വാഴട്ടെ” എന്ന് ആർത്തുവിളിച്ചു.

And they brought out [the] son of the king and they put on him the crown and the testimony and they made king him and they anointed him Jehoiada and sons his and they said may he live the king.

12 ജനം ഓടുന്നതിന്റെയും രാജാവിനെ കീർത്തിക്കുന്നതിന്റെയും ഘോഷം കേട്ടിട്ട് അഥല്യാ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ അവരുടെ അടുത്തേക്കുവന്നു.

And she heard Athaliah [the] sound of the people who were running and who were praising the king and she came to the people [the] house of Yahweh.

13 അവൾ നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ, അതാ! കവാടത്തിൽ അധികാരസ്തംഭത്തിനരികെ രാജാവു നിൽക്കുന്നു! പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും കാഹളക്കാരും രാജാവിനരികെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ദേശത്തെ ജനമെല്ലാം ആഹ്ലാദിച്ച് കാഹളമൂതിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ഗായകർ തങ്ങളുടെ സംഗീതവാദ്യങ്ങളുമായി സ്തുതിഗീതങ്ങൾക്കു നേതൃത്വം കൊടുക്കുന്നു! അപ്പോൾ അഥല്യാ വസ്ത്രംകീറി “ദ്രോഹം! ദ്രോഹം!” എന്ന് അട്ടഹസിച്ചു.

And she saw and there! the king [was] standing at pillar his at the entrance and the officials and the trumpets [were] with the king and all [the] people of the land [was] joyful and [was] giving a blast on trumpets and the singers with [the] instruments of song [were] leading to praise and she tore Athaliah clothes her and she said treason treason.

14 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ചുമതല വഹിച്ചിരുന്ന ശതാധിപന്മാരെ യെഹോയാദാപുരോഹിതൻ പുറത്തേക്കു വിളിച്ചിട്ടു പറഞ്ഞു: “പടയണികൾക്കിടയിലൂടെ അവളെ പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുപോകുക. അവളെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നർ ആരായാലും അവരെ വാളിനിരയാക്കുക. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ച് അവളെ വധിക്കരുത്.”

And he sent out Jehoiada the priest [the] commanders of the hundreds - [the] officers of the army and he said to them bring out her to from between the ranks and the [one who] goes after her he will be put to death with the sword for he had said the priest not you must put to death her [the] house of Yahweh.

15 അങ്ങനെ അവർ അവളെ പിടിച്ചു. കൊട്ടാരവളപ്പിൽ കുതിരക്കവാടത്തിന്റെ പ്രവേശനത്തിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ, അവർ അവളെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

And they put to her hands and she went to [the] entrance of [the] gate of the horses [the] house of the king and they put to death her there.

16 പിന്നീട് യെഹോയാദാ, താനും ആ ജനവും രാജാവും യഹോവയുടെ ജനമായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് ഒരു ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

And he made Jehoiada a covenant between himself and between all the people and between the king to become a people of Yahweh.

17 ജനങ്ങളെല്ലാവരുംകൂടി ബാലിന്റെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലേക്കുചെന്ന് അതിനെ ഇടിച്ചുതകർത്തു; ബലിപീഠങ്ങളും ബിംബങ്ങളും അവർ അടിച്ചുടച്ചു. ബലിപീഠങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പിൽവെച്ച് അവർ ബാലിന്റെ പുരോഹിതനായ മത്ഥാനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

And they went all the people [the] house of Baal and they pulled down it and altars its and images its they broke and Mattan [the] priest of Baal they killed before the altars.

18 അതിനുശേഷം യെഹോയാദാ ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ മേൽനോട്ടം ലേവ്യരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ കരങ്ങളിൽ ഭരമേൽപ്പിച്ചു. ആഹ്ലാദത്തോടും ഗാനാലാപത്തോടുംകൂടി യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ, മോശയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നപ്രകാരം, ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള ചുമതല ദാവീദുരാജാവ് അവരെയാണു ഭരമേൽപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നത്.

And he put Jehoiada [the] oversight of [the] house of Yahweh in [the] hand of the priests the Levites whom he had assigned David over [the] house of Yahweh to offer up [the] burnt offerings of Yahweh according to [what] is written in [the] law of Moses with joy and with song on [the] hands of David.

19 ഏതെങ്കിലും വിധത്തിൽ ആചാരപരമായി അശുദ്ധരായ ആരുംതന്നെ അകത്തു കടക്കാതിരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം യെഹോയാദാ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ കവാടത്തിൽ കാവൽക്കാരെയും നിയോഗിച്ചു.

And he stationed the gatekeepers at [the] gates of [the] house of Yahweh and not he came a [person] unclean to any matter.

20 അദ്ദേഹം ശതാധിപന്മാരെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും ജനത്തിന്റെ ഭരണാധിപന്മാരെയും ദേശത്തെ സകലജനത്തെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുചെന്ന് രാജാവിനെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഇറക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. മുകളിലത്തെ പടിവാതിൽവഴി അവർ രാജകൊട്ടാരത്തിലേക്കുചെന്ന് രാജാവിനെ രാജകീയ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുത്തി.

And he took [the] commanders of the hundreds and the nobles and the rulers over the people and - all [the] people of the land and he brought down the king from [the] house of Yahweh and they came in [the] middle of [the] gate upper [the] house of the king and they made sit the king on [the] throne of royalty.

21 ദേശവാസികളെല്ലാം ആഹ്ലാദിച്ചു; അഥല്യാ വാളാൽ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടതുകൊണ്ടു നഗരം ശാന്തമായിരുന്നു.

And they rejoiced all [the] people of the land and the city it was at peace and Athaliah they had put to death with the sword.
