1 ശമൂവേൽ 11

1 അമ്മോന്യനായ നാഹാശ് വന്ന് ഗിലെയാദിലെ യാബേശ് നഗരത്തെ ഉപരോധിച്ച്, ആക്രമിക്കാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞു. യാബേശ് നിവാസികൾ എല്ലാവരും അദ്ദേഹത്തോട്, “ഞങ്ങളുമായി സമാധാനയുടമ്പടി ചെയ്യണം; എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അങ്ങേക്ക് കീഴടങ്ങിയിരുന്നുകൊള്ളാം” എന്നപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

and to ascend: rise Nahash [the] Ammon and to camp upon Jabesh (Jabesh)-gilead and to say all human Jabesh (Gilead) to(wards) Nahash to cut: make(covenant) to/for us covenant and to serve you

2 എന്നാൽ അമ്മോന്യനായ നാഹാശ് അവരോട്: “ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും വലതുകണ്ണ് ചൂഴ്‌ന്നെടുത്തുകളയും; അങ്ങനെ സമസ്തഇസ്രായേലിനും ഈ അപമാനം വരുത്തും. ഈ ഒരൊറ്റ വ്യവസ്ഥയിൽമാത്രം നിങ്ങളുമായി ഞാൻ സന്ധിചെയ്യാം” എന്നു മറുപടി നൽകി.

and to say to(wards) them Nahash [the] Ammon in/on/with this to cut: make(covenant) to/for you in/on/with to dig to/for you all eye right and to set: put her reproach upon all Israel

3 അപ്പോൾ യാബേശിലെ നേതാക്കന്മാർ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട്: “ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏഴുദിവസം അവധിതരണം! ഇസ്രായേലിലെല്ലായിടത്തും ഞങ്ങൾ സന്ദേശവാഹകരെ അയയ്ക്കട്ടെ! ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കാൻ ആരും വരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കീഴടങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളാം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4 സന്ദേശവാഹകർ ശൗലിന്റെ ഗിബെയയിൽവന്ന് നാഹാശ് വെച്ച വ്യവസ്ഥകൾ അവിടത്തെ ജനത്തെ അറിയിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ അവരെല്ലാം ഉച്ചത്തിൽ കരഞ്ഞു.

5 ആ സമയം ശൗൽ വയലിൽനിന്ന് തന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു വരികയായിരുന്നു. “ജനത്തിന് എന്തുപറ്റി? അവർ കരയുന്നതെന്തിന്?” എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചു. യാബേശിലെ ആളുകൾ വന്നുപറഞ്ഞ സംഗതികളെല്ലാം അവർ ശൗലിനെ അറിയിച്ചു.

and behold Saul to come (in): come after [the] cattle from [the] land: country and to say Saul what? to/for people for to weep and to recount to/for him [obj] word: deed human Jabesh (Gilead)

6 അവരുടെ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ദൈവാത്മാവ് ശക്തിയോടെ ശൗലിൽ വന്ന് ആവസിച്ചു; അദ്ദേഹം കോപംകൊണ്ടു ജ്വലിച്ചു.

7 ശൗൽ ഒരു ജോടി കാളയെ പിടിച്ച് ഖണ്ഡംഖണ്ഡമായി നുറുക്കി; ആ കഷണങ്ങൾ സന്ദേശവാഹകർമുഖേന ഇസ്രായേലിലെല്ലാം കൊടുത്തയച്ചു; “ശൗലിന്റെയും ശമുവേലിന്റെയും പിന്നാലെ വരാത്തവർ ആരുതന്നെയായാലും അവരുടെ കാളകളോടും ഇതുപോലെ ചെയ്യും” എന്നു പറയിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള ഭയം ജനങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വീണു. അവർ തിരിഞ്ഞ് ഏകമനസ്സോടെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

and to take: take pair cattle and to cut him and to send: depart in/on/with all border: area Israel in/on/with hand [the] messenger to/for to say which nothing he to come out: come after Saul and after Samuel thus to make: do to/for cattle his and to fall: fall dread LORD upon [the] people and to come out: come like/as man one

8 ശൗൽ പോരാളികളെയെല്ലാം ബേസെക്കിൽ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടിയപ്പോൾ ഇസ്രായേൽജനം മൂന്നുലക്ഷവും യെഹൂദ്യർ മുപ്പതിനായിരവും എന്നുകണ്ടു.

and to reckon: list them in/on/with Bezek and to be son: descendant/people Israel three hundred thousand and man Judah thirty thousand

9 ഗിബെയയിലേക്കു വന്നിരുന്ന സന്ദേശവാഹകരോട് അവർ: “‘നാളെ വെയിൽ മൂക്കുമ്പോഴേക്കു നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിടുതൽ ഉണ്ടാകും,’ എന്ന് ഗിലെയാദിലെ യാബേശ് നിവാസികളോടു ചെന്നു പറയുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു. സന്ദേശവാഹകർ വന്ന് യാബേശ് നിവാസികളെ ഇക്കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവർ സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

and to say to/for messenger [the] to come (in): come thus to say [emph?] to/for man Jabesh (Jabesh)-gilead tomorrow to be to/for you deliverance: salvation (like/as heat *Q(K)*) [the] sun and to come (in): come [the] messenger and to tell to/for human Jabesh (Gilead) and to rejoice

10 “നാളെ ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിവരും; നിങ്ങൾക്കു ബോധിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യുക,” എന്ന് അവർ അമ്മോന്യർക്കു സന്ദേശം പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

and to say human Jabesh (Gilead) tomorrow to come out: come to(wards) you and to make: do to/for us like/as all [the] pleasant in/on/with eye: appearance your

11 പിറ്റേന്നു ശൗൽ തന്റെ പടയാളികളെ മൂന്നുകൂട്ടമായി വിഭജിച്ചു. പ്രഭാതയാമത്തിൽ അവർ അമ്മോന്യരുടെ പാളയത്തിന്റെ നടുവിലേക്ക് ഇരച്ചുകയറി വെയിൽ മൂക്കുംവരെ അവരെ സംഹരിച്ചു. ഈ സംഹാരത്തിൽനിന്ന് തെറ്റിയൊഴിഞ്ഞു രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടവർ ചിതറിപ്പോയി; തന്മൂലം അവരിൽ രണ്ടുപേർക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ചുനിൽക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ല.

and to be from morrow and to set: put Saul [obj] [the] people three head: group and to come (in): come in/on/with midst [the] camp in/on/with watch [the] morning and to smite [obj] Ammon till heat [the] day and to be [the] to remain and to scatter and not to remain in/on/with them two unitedness

12 ഇതിനുശേഷം ജനം ശമുവേലിനോട്: “‘ശൗൽ ഞങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കുമോ,’ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചവർ ആരാണ്? അവരെ ഞങ്ങളുടെപക്കൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുതരിക! ഞങ്ങൾ അവരെ കൊന്നുകളയും!” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

and to say [the] people to(wards) Samuel who? [the] to say Saul to reign upon us to give: give [the] human and to die them

13 എന്നാൽ ശൗൽ: “ഇന്നു യാതൊരുത്തനെയും വധിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല. കാരണം, യഹോവ ഇന്ന് ഇസ്രായേലിന് വിമോചനം നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

and to say Saul not to die man: anyone in/on/with day: today [the] this for [the] day: today to make: do LORD deliverance: salvation in/on/with Israel

14 പിന്നെ ശമുവേൽ ജനത്തോട്: “വരിക, നമുക്കു ഗിൽഗാലിലേക്കു പോകാം. അവിടെവെച്ച് നമുക്ക് ശൗലിന്റെ രാജത്വം പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കാം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

and to say Samuel to(wards) [the] people to go: come! and to go: went [the] Gilgal and to renew there [the] kingship

15 അങ്ങനെ ജനമെല്ലാം ഗിൽഗാലിൽ വന്നു. അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ച് അവർ ശൗലിനെ രാജാവാക്കി. അവിടെ അവർ യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിച്ചു. ശൗലും സകല ഇസ്രായേലും ഏറ്റവും ആനന്ദിച്ചു.

and to go: went all [the] people [the] Gilgal and to reign there [obj] Saul to/for face: before LORD in/on/with Gilgal and to sacrifice there sacrifice peace offering to/for face: before LORD and to rejoice there Saul and all human Israel till much
