1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 1

1 ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ അപ്പൊസ്തലനായി ദൈവം തിരുഹിതപ്രകാരം വിളിച്ച പൗലോസും നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരനായ സോസ്തനേസും ചേർന്ന്,

Paul, called [to be] an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

2 ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും വിശുദ്ധജനം ആയിരിക്കാൻ ദൈവം വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരുമായ, കൊരിന്തിലുള്ള ദൈവസഭയ്ക്കും എല്ലാ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലുമായി നമ്മുടെയും അവരുടെയും കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിൽ വിശ്വാസം അർപ്പിച്ച സകലർക്കുമായി എഴുതുന്നത്:

unto the church of God which is at Corinth, [even] them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their [Lord] and ours:

3 നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നും കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിൽനിന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകുമാറാകട്ടെ.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4 ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്കു നൽകിയ കൃപ ഓർത്ത് നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിനു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യുന്നു.

I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus;

5 കാരണം, ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ വചനത്തിലും ജ്ഞാനത്തിലും സർവസമൃദ്ധിയും നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നല്ലോ;

that in everything ye were enriched in him, in all utterance and all knowledge;

6 ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞ സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വാസ്യത ഇതു സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കുന്നു.

even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

7 ഇങ്ങനെ, നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പുനരാഗമനത്തിനായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങൾ കൃപാദാനങ്ങളിൽ യാതൊന്നിൽപോലും കുറവുള്ളവരായിരിക്കുന്നില്ല.

so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;

8 നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദിവസത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ നിരപവാദ്യർ ആയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവിടന്ന് നിങ്ങളെ അന്ത്യംവരെ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തും.

who shall also confirm you unto the end, [that ye be] unreproveable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 അവിടത്തെ പുത്രനും നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവുമായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുള്ള കൂട്ടായ്മയിലേക്കു നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം വിശ്വസ്തനാണല്ലോ.

God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

10 സഹോദരങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു ഭിന്നതയുമില്ലാതെ, തികഞ്ഞ ഐകമത്യം പാലിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ ഒരേ മനസ്സും ഒരേ ചിന്തയും ഉള്ളവരായിരിക്കാൻ നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

11 എന്റെ സഹോദരങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യേ തർക്കവിതർക്കങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടെന്നു ക്ലോവയുടെ ബന്ധുക്കളിൽ ചിലർ എന്നെ അറിയിച്ചു.

For it hath been signified unto me concerning you, my brethren, by them [which are of the household] of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12 അതായത്, നിങ്ങളിൽ ചിലർ “ഞാൻ പൗലോസിന്റെ ആൾ” എന്നും മറ്റുചിലർ “ഞാൻ അപ്പൊല്ലോസിന്റെ ആൾ” എന്നും വേറെചിലർ “ഞാൻ പത്രോസിന്റെ ആൾ” എന്നും ഇനിയും ചിലർ “ഞാൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ആൾ” എന്നും പറയുന്നു.

Now this I mean, that each one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13 ക്രിസ്തു വിഭജിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നോ? പൗലോസാണോ നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്? പൗലോസിന്റെ നാമത്തിലോ നിങ്ങൾ സ്നാനം സ്വീകരിച്ചത്?

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized into the name of Paul?

14 ക്രിസ്പൊസിനും ഗായൊസിനും ഒഴികെ നിങ്ങളിൽ മറ്റാർക്കും ഞാൻ സ്നാനം നൽകിയിട്ടില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ ദൈവത്തിന് സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യുന്നു.

I thank God that I baptized none of you, save Crispus and Gaius;

15 അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സ്നാനം സ്വീകരിച്ചു എന്ന് നിങ്ങളിൽ ആർക്കും പറയാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.

lest any man should say that ye were baptized into my name.

16 അല്ല, സ്തെഫാനൊസിന്റെ വീട്ടുകാരെയുംകൂടി ഞാൻ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്; മറ്റാർക്കെങ്കിലും സ്നാനം ഞാൻ നൽകിയിട്ടുള്ളതായി ഓർക്കുന്നില്ല.

And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

17 ക്രിസ്തു എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു സ്നാനം നൽകുന്നതിനല്ല; പിന്നെയോ, സുവിശേഷം ഘോഷിക്കുന്നതിനാണ്. അത് എന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വാഗ്‍വിലാസത്താൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ക്രൂശിന്റെ ശക്തി പ്രയോജനരഹിതമാകാതിരിക്കാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിർവഹിക്കുന്നത്.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.

18 ക്രൂശിന്റെ വചനം നാശത്തിലേക്കു പോകുന്നവർക്ക് ഭോഷത്തമായി തോന്നാം, എന്നാൽ, രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന നമുക്ക് അതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശക്തി ആണ്.

For the word of the cross is to them that are perishing foolishness; but unto us which are being saved it is the power of God.

19 “ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ ജ്ഞാനം ഞാൻ നശിപ്പിക്കും; ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയും ഞാൻ നിഷ്ഫലമാക്കും,” എന്ന് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നല്ലോ.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the prudence of the prudent will I reject.

20 ജ്ഞാനി എവിടെ? പണ്ഡിതൻ എവിടെ? ഈ ലോകത്തിലെ തത്ത്വജ്ഞാനി എവിടെ? ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെ ദൈവം ഭോഷത്തമാക്കിയില്ലേ? (aiōn g165)

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (aiōn g165)

21 ലോകം അതിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ട് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്താൽ, വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരെ പ്രസംഗത്തിന്റെ ഭോഷത്തംമുഖേന രക്ഷിക്കാൻ അവിടത്തേക്കു പ്രസാദം തോന്നി.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom knew not God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe.

22 ഇത് അത്ഭുതചിഹ്നങ്ങൾ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്ന യെഹൂദർക്കും ജ്ഞാനം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന ഗ്രീക്കുകാർക്കും ഭോഷത്തമായി തോന്നുന്നു.

Seeing that Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek after wisdom:

23 എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നത് ക്രൂശിതനായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെയാണ്; അത് യെഹൂദർക്ക് ഇടർച്ചയും യെഹൂദേതരർക്കു ഭോഷത്തവും ആയി തോന്നുന്നു.

but we preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumblingblock, and unto Gentiles foolishness;

24 അങ്ങനെ, രക്ഷിക്കാനായി ദൈവം വിളിച്ച എല്ലാവർക്കും—യെഹൂദർക്കും യെഹൂദേതരർക്കും —ക്രിസ്തു ദൈവശക്തിയും ദൈവജ്ഞാനവും ആകുന്നു.

but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭോഷത്തം മനുഷ്യന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെക്കാൾ വിവേകമുള്ളതും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ബലഹീനത മനുഷ്യന്റെ ബലത്തെക്കാൾ ശക്തവുമാണ്.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 സഹോദരങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചപ്പോഴുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥിതിയെപ്പറ്റി ചിന്തിക്കുക. മാനുഷികമാനദണ്ഡമനുസരിച്ചു നിങ്ങളിൽ മിക്കവരും വിവേകശാലികളായിരുന്നില്ല; സമൂഹത്തിൽ സ്വാധീനമുള്ളവരോ കുലീനരോ ആയിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

For behold your calling, brethren, how that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]:

27 എന്നാൽ ജ്ഞാനികളെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിക്കാൻ ദൈവം ലോകത്തിൽ ഭോഷത്തമായവ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. ശക്തമായവയെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിക്കാൻ ദൈവം ബലഹീനമായവ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;

28 മഹത്തായതെന്നു ലോകം പരിഗണിക്കുന്നതിനെ നിസ്സാരമാക്കാൻ ഈ ലോകത്തിലെ ഹീനവും നിന്ദിതവുമായ കാര്യങ്ങളെ, ഒന്നുമല്ലാത്തവയെത്തന്നെ, ദൈവം തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു;

and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, did God choose, [yea] and the things that are not, that he might bring to nought the things that are:

29 അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ആരും പ്രശംസിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനുതന്നെ.

that no flesh should glory before God.

30 അവിടന്നുമുഖേനയാണ് നിങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലായിരിക്കുന്നത്. ക്രിസ്തു നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള ജ്ഞാനവും നീതിയും വിശുദ്ധിയും വീണ്ടെടുപ്പും ആയിത്തീർന്നു.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

31 അതുകൊണ്ട്, തിരുവെഴുത്തിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, “അഭിമാനിക്കുന്നവർ കർത്താവിൽ അഭിമാനിക്കട്ടെ.”

that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
