1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 6
1 നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരാൾക്കു മറ്റൊരാളോടു തർക്കം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അതിന്റെ തീർപ്പിനായി, ദൈവജനത്തിന്റെയടുത്ത് പോകുന്നതിനു പകരം, അഭക്തരുടെമുമ്പിൽ പോകുന്നതിനോ നിങ്ങൾ ചങ്കൂറ്റം കാണിക്കുന്നത്?
Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2 ദൈവജനമാണ് ലോകത്തെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കാനിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ലേ? നിങ്ങൾ ലോകത്തെ വിധിക്കാനുള്ളവരെങ്കിൽ നിസ്സാരമായ തർക്കങ്ങൾ തീരുമാനിക്കാൻ നിങ്ങൾ അസമർഥരോ?
Do ye not know that the saints will judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 നാം ദൂതന്മാരെയും ന്യായംവിധിക്കും എന്നറിയുന്നില്ലേ? അങ്ങനെയുള്ള നാം ലൗകികകാര്യങ്ങളെ എത്രയധികം!
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more, things that pertain to this life?
4 അതുകൊണ്ട് അങ്ങനെയുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി തർക്കമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ സഭയ്ക്കു യാതൊരു മതിപ്പുമില്ലാത്തവരെ നിങ്ങൾ വിധികർത്താക്കളായി നിയമിക്കുമോ?
If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
5 ഞാൻ ഇതു നിങ്ങളുടെ ലജ്ജയ്ക്കായി പറയുന്നു. വിശ്വാസികൾക്കു പരസ്പരമുള്ള തർക്കം തീർക്കാൻ തക്ക ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള ഒരാൾപോലും നിങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഇല്ലാതെയായോ?
I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that will be able to judge between his brethren?
6 എന്നാൽ അതിനുപകരം, ഒരു സഹോദരൻ മറ്റൊരു സഹോദരനോടു വ്യവഹാരം നടത്താൻ പോകുന്നു; അതും അവിശ്വാസികളുടെമുമ്പിൽ!
But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before unbelievers.
7 നിങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യേ വ്യവഹാരം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു എന്നതിനാൽത്തന്നെ നിങ്ങൾ പരാജയമടഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ അന്യായം സഹിക്കുന്നതല്ലേ ഇതിലും ഭേദം? ചതിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതല്ലേ കൂടുതൽ ഉത്തമം?
Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather [suffer yourselves to] be defrauded?
8 അല്ല, അതിനുപകരം നിങ്ങൾതന്നെ ചതിക്കുകയും ദ്രോഹിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു! അതും നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരങ്ങളെ!
But ye do wrong, and defraud, and that [your] brethren.
9 അധർമികൾ ദൈവരാജ്യം അവകാശമാക്കുകയില്ല എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ലേ? വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെടരുത്: ദുർനടപ്പുകാർ, വിഗ്രഹാരാധകർ, വ്യഭിചാരികൾ, സ്വവർഗാനുരാഗികളായ പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്ത്രീകളും,
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 മോഷ്ടാക്കൾ, അത്യാഗ്രഹികൾ, മദ്യപർ, അപവാദം പരത്തുന്നവർ, അന്യരുടെ പണം അപഹരിക്കുന്നവർ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർ ദൈവരാജ്യം അവകാശമാക്കുകയില്ല.
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 നിങ്ങളിൽ ചിലർ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ കഴുകപ്പെട്ടവരും വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിലും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവിനാലും നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും ആയിത്തീർന്നു.
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
12 “എനിക്കെല്ലാം അനുവദനീയമാണ്,” ചിലർ പറഞ്ഞേക്കാം. എന്നാൽ എല്ലാം പ്രയോജനമുള്ളവയല്ല. “എനിക്കെല്ലാം അനുവദനീയമാണ്”—എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഒന്നിനും അധീനനാകുകയില്ല.
All things are lawful to me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
13 “ആഹാരം ഉദരത്തിന്, ഉദരം ആഹാരത്തിന് എന്നാൽ ദൈവം ഇവ രണ്ടും ഇല്ലാതാക്കും,” ചിലർ പറഞ്ഞേക്കാം. ശരീരം ലൈംഗികാധർമത്തിനുള്ളതല്ല; ശരീരം കർത്താവിനും കർത്താവ് ശരീരത്തിനും അത്രേ.
Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body [is] not for lewdness, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
14 ദൈവം തന്റെ ശക്തിയാൽ കർത്താവിനെ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്ന് ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചു. അവിടന്നു നമ്മെയും ഉയിർപ്പിക്കും.
And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
15 നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളാകുന്നു എന്നറിയുന്നില്ലേ? അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ, ആരെങ്കിലും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അവയവങ്ങൾ എടുത്തു വേശ്യയുടെ അവയവങ്ങളാക്കാമോ? ഒരുനാളും അരുത്.
Know ye not, that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make [them] the members of a harlot? By no means.
16 വേശ്യയുമായി സംയോജിക്കുന്നവൻ അവളുമായി ഏകശരീരം ആകുന്നെന്ന് അറിയുന്നില്ലേ? “അവരിരുവരും ഒരു ശരീരമായിത്തീരും” എന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.
What? know ye not that he who is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 എന്നാൽ കർത്താവിനോട് എകീഭവിക്കുന്നവൻ ആത്മാവിൽ കർത്താവിനോട് ഒന്നായിത്തീരുന്നു.
But he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit.
18 ലൈംഗികാധർമംവിട്ട് ഓടിക്കോളൂ. ഒരാൾ ചെയ്യുന്ന മറ്റ് ഏതു പാപവും തന്റെ ശരീരത്തിനു പുറത്താകുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ലൈംഗികമായ പാപംചെയ്യുന്നവൻ സ്വന്തം ദേഹത്തിനെതിരേ പാപംചെയ്യുന്നു.
Flee lewdness. Every sin that a man doeth, is without the body; but he that committeth lewdness, sinneth against his own body.
19 ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്ന് നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിച്ചതും നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നതുമായ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ ആലയമാകുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരം എന്ന് അറിയുന്നില്ലേ? നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തമല്ല;
What, know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [which is] in you, which ye have from God, and ye are not your own?
20 വിലയ്ക്കു വാങ്ങപ്പെട്ടവരാണ് നിങ്ങൾ. അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരംകൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്ത്വപ്പെടുത്തുക.
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
