1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 13

1 ഞാൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെയും ദൂതന്മാരുടെയും ഭാഷകളിൽ സംസാരിച്ചാലും എനിക്കു സ്നേഹമില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ മുഴങ്ങുന്ന ചേങ്ങലയോ കിലുങ്ങുന്ന ഇലത്താളമോമാത്രമാണ്.

If I speak with the tongues of humans and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong, or a clanging cymbal.

2 എനിക്കു പ്രവചിക്കാനുള്ള കൃപാദാനം ലഭിച്ചാലും, സകലദിവ്യരഹസ്യങ്ങളും സകലജ്ഞാനവും ഗ്രഹിക്കാൻകഴിഞ്ഞാലും, മലകളെ നീക്കംചെയ്യാൻകഴിയുന്ന വിശ്വാസം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നാലും സ്നേഹമില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ ഒന്നുമല്ല.

If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

3 എന്റെ സമ്പത്തെല്ലാം ഞാൻ ദാനംചെയ്താലും അഭിമാനപൂർവം എന്റെ ശരീരം ദഹിപ്പിച്ചാലും സ്നേഹമില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ ഒന്നും നേടുന്നില്ല.

If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

4 സ്നേഹം ക്ഷമയുള്ളതാണ്, സ്നേഹം ദയയുള്ളതാണ്. സ്നേഹം അസൂയപ്പെടുന്നില്ല, ആത്മപ്രശംസചെയ്യുന്നില്ല, സ്നേഹം അഹങ്കരിക്കുന്നില്ല.

Love is patient and is kind; love does not envy. Love does not brag, is not proud,

5 അതു അന്യരെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നില്ല, സ്വാർഥം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നില്ല, കോപിക്കുന്നില്ല, ദോഷത്തിന്റെ കണക്കുസൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

does not behave itself inappropriately, does not seek its own way, is not irritable, does not keep a record of wrongs;

6 സ്നേഹം തിന്മയിൽ അഭിരമിക്കാതെ, സത്യത്തിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

7 എപ്പോഴും സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നു, എപ്പോഴും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു, എപ്പോഴും പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നു, എപ്പോഴും സഹിക്കുന്നു.

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 സ്നേഹം എന്നെന്നും നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു. പ്രവചനം നീക്കപ്പെടും ഭാഷകൾ നിലച്ചുപോകും ജ്ഞാനവും നീക്കപ്പെടും.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are tongues, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with.

9 നാം ഭാഗികമായിമാത്രം അറിയുന്നു ഭാഗികമായിമാത്രം പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;

10 എന്നാൽ പൂർണമായതു വരുമ്പോൾ ഭാഗികമായതു നീക്കപ്പെടും.

but when that which is complete has come, that which is partial will be done away with.

11 ഞാൻ ശിശുവായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ശിശുവിനെപ്പോലെ സംസാരിച്ചു, ശിശുവിനെപ്പോലെ ചിന്തിച്ചു, ശിശുവിനെപ്പോലെ തർക്കിച്ചു. മുതിർന്നശേഷമോ, ശിശുസഹജമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become an adult, I have put away childish things.

12 ഇപ്പോൾ നാം കണ്ണാടിയിൽ കടങ്കഥയെന്നപോലെ അവ്യക്തമായി കാണുന്നു; അപ്പോഴോ നാം അഭിമുഖമായി കാണും. ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഭാഗികമായി അറിയുന്നു; അപ്പോൾ, ദൈവം എന്നെ സമ്പൂർണമായി അറിയുന്നതുപോലെ എന്റെ അറിവും പൂർണതയുള്ളതായിരിക്കും.

For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.

13 എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ, വിശ്വാസം, പ്രത്യാശ, സ്നേഹം ഇവ മൂന്നും സുസ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും; ഇവയിൽ ഏറ്റവും മഹത്തായതോ സ്നേഹംതന്നെ.

But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
