1 ദിനവൃത്താന്തം 23
1 ദാവീദ് വൃദ്ധനും കാലസമ്പൂർണനും ആയപ്പോൾ തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ ഇസ്രായേലിനു രാജാവാക്കി.
So when Dauid was olde and full of dayes, he made Salomon his sonne King ouer Israel.
2 അദ്ദേഹം ഇസ്രായേലിലെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.
And hee gathered together all the princes of Israel with the Priestes and the Leuites.
3 ലേവ്യരിൽ മുപ്പതുവയസ്സും അതിൽ കൂടുതലും പ്രായമുള്ളവരുടെ എണ്ണമെടുത്തു; പുരുഷന്മാർ ആകെ മുപ്പത്തെണ്ണായിരം എന്നുകണ്ടു.
And the Leuites were numbred from ye age of thirtie yeere and aboue, and their nomber according to their summe was eight and thirtie thousand men.
4 ദാവീദ് പറഞ്ഞു: “ഇവരിൽ ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷകൾക്കു മേൽനോട്ടം വഹിക്കുകയും ആറായിരംപേർ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാരും ന്യായാധിപന്മാരും ആയിരിക്കുകയും വേണം.
Of these foure and twentie thousande were set to aduance the worke of the house of the Lord, and sixe thousand were ouerseers and iudges.
5 നാലായിരംപേർ വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരും ആയിരിക്കണം. ബാക്കി നാലായിരംപേർ ഞാൻ തയ്യാറാക്കിയ വാദ്യോപകരണങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കണം.”
And foure thousand were porters, and foure thousande praised the Lord with instruments which he made to praise the Lord.
6 ലേവിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ഗെർശോൻ. കെഹാത്ത്, മെരാരി എന്നിവരുടെ ക്രമത്തിൽ ദാവീദ് ലേവ്യരെ മൂന്നു ഗണങ്ങളാക്കി തിരിച്ചു.
So Dauid deuided offices vnto them, to wit, to the sonnes of Leui, to Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
7 ഗെർശോന്യരിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവർ: ലദ്ദാൻ, ശിമെയി.
Of the Gershonites were Laadan and Shimei.
8 ലദ്ദാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: നായകനായ യെഹീയേൽ, സേഥാം, യോവേൽ—ആകെ മൂന്നുപേർ.
The sonnes of Laadan, the chiefe was Iehiel, and Zetham and Ioel, three.
9 ശിമെയിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ശെലോമോത്ത്, ഹസീയേൽ, ഹാരാൻ—ആകെ മൂന്നുപേർ. (ഇവർ ലദ്ദാന്റെ കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കു തലവന്മാരായിരുന്നു.)
The Sonnes of Shimei, Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haram, three: these were the chiefe fathers of Laadan.
10 ശിമെയിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യഹത്ത്, സീസാ, യെയൂശ്, ബേരീയാം; ഇവർ ശിമെയിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായിരുന്നു—ആകെ നാലുപേർ.
Also the sonnes of Shimei were Iahath, Zina, Ieush, and Beriah: these foure were ye sonnes of Shimei.
11 ഇവരിൽ യഹത്ത് ഒന്നാമനും സീസാ രണ്ടാമനും ആയിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ യെയൂശിനും ബേരീയാമിനും അധികം പുത്രന്മാരില്ലായിരുന്നു. അതിനാൽ അവരെ ഇരുവരെയും ഒരുകുടുംബമായും ഒറ്റവീതത്തിന് അവകാശികളായും കരുതിയിരുന്നു.
And Iahath was the chiefe, and Zizah the seconde, but Ieush and Beriah had not many sonnes: therfore they were in the families of their father, counted but as one.
12 കെഹാത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അമ്രാം, യിസ്ഹാർ, ഹെബ്രോൻ, ഉസ്സീയേൽ—ആകെ നാലുപേർ
The sonnes of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron aud Vzziel, foure.
13 അമ്രാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അഹരോനും മോശയും. അതിവിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നതിനും യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ യാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും അവിടത്തെ മുമ്പാകെ ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നതിനും എപ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹവചസ്സുകൾ ചൊരിയുന്നതിനുംവേണ്ടി അഹരോനും പിൻഗാമികളും എന്നെന്നേക്കുമായി വേർതിരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
The sonnes of Amram, Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated to sanctifie the most holy place, hee and his sonnes for euer to burne incense before the Lord, to minister to him, and to blesse in his Name for euer.
14 ദൈവപുരുഷനായ മോശയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ ലേവി ഗോത്രത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടു.
Moses also the man of God, and his children were named with the tribe of Leui.
15 മോശയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഗെർശോം, എലീയേസർ.
The sonnes of Moses were Gershom, and Eliezer,
16 ഗെർശോമിന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളിൽ ശെബൂവേൽ പ്രമുഖനായിരുന്നു.
Of the sonnes of Gershom was Shebuel the chiefe.
17 എലീയേസരിന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളിൽ രെഹബ്യാവ് പ്രമുഖനായിരുന്നു. എലീയേസറിന് മറ്റു പുത്രന്മാരില്ലായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ രെഹബ്യാവിനു വളരെ പുത്രന്മാരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
And the sonne of Eliezer was Rehabiah the chiefe: for Eliezer had none other sonnes: but the sonnes of Rehabiah were very many.
18 യിസ്ഹാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ശെലോമീത്ത് പ്രമുഖനായിരുന്നു.
The sone of Izhar was Shelomith ye chiefe.
19 ഹെബ്രോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യെരീയാവ് ഒന്നാമനും അമര്യാവ് രണ്ടാമനും യഹസീയേൽ മൂന്നാമനും യെക്കമെയാം നാലാമനും ആയിരുന്നു.
The sonnes of Hebron were Ieriah the first, Amariah the second, Iahaziel the third, and Iekamiam the fourth.
20 ഉസ്സീയേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ: മീഖാ ഒന്നാമനും യിശ്ശീയാവു രണ്ടാമനും ആയിരുന്നു.
The sones of Vzziel were Michah the first, and Isshiah the second.
21 മെരാരിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: മഹ്ലി, മൂശി. മഹ്ലിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: എലെയാസാർ, കീശ്.
The sonnes of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. The sonnes of Mahli, Eleazar and Kish.
22 എലെയാസാർ പുത്രന്മാരില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു പുത്രിമാർമാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ. അവരുടെ പിതൃസഹോദരനായ കീശിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അവരെ വിവാഹംചെയ്തു.
And Eleazar dyed, and had no sonnes, but daughters, and their brethren the sonnes of Kish tooke them.
23 മൂശിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: മഹ്ലി, ഏദെർ, യെരേമോത്ത്—ആകെ മൂന്നുപേർ.
The sonnes of Mushi were Mahli, and Eder, and Ierimoth, three.
24 കുടുംബങ്ങൾ, കുടുംബത്തലവന്മാർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ തരംതിരിച്ച് പേരുപേരായി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നപ്രകാരം ലേവിയുടെ പിൻഗാമികൾ ഓരോ വ്യക്തിയെയും, അതായത്, ഇരുപതു വയസ്സും അതിനു മുകളിലും പ്രായമുള്ളവരും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷകരുമായ ലേവ്യസന്തതികൾ ഇവരായിരുന്നു.
These were the sonnes of Leui according to the house of their fathers, euen the chiefe fathers according to their offices, according to the nomber of names and their summe that did the worke for the seruice of the house of the Lord from the age of twentie yeeres and aboue.
25 ദാവീദ് ഇപ്രകാരം കൽപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു: “ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിനു സ്വസ്ഥത നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നതിനാലും അവിടന്ന് എന്നെന്നേക്കും ജെറുശലേമിൽ അധിവസിക്കുന്നതിന് എഴുന്നള്ളിയിരിക്കുന്നതിനാലും
For Dauid sayde, The Lord God of Israel hath giuen rest vnto his people, that they may dwell in Ierusalem for euer.
26 ഇനിമേലിൽ ലേവ്യർക്ക് സമാഗമകൂടാരമോ ശുശ്രൂഷകൾക്കുള്ള വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലുമോ ചുമക്കേണ്ടതായി വരികയില്ല.”
And also the Leuites shall no more beare the Tabernacle and al the vessels for the seruice thereof.
27 ദാവീദ് ഏറ്റവും ഒടുവിൽ കൊടുത്ത നിർദേശങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച്, ഇരുപതു വയസ്സും അതിൽ കൂടുതലും പ്രായമുള്ളവരിൽനിന്നു ലേവ്യരുടെ എണ്ണം തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.
Therefore according to the last wordes of Dauid, the Leuites were nombred from twentie yeere and aboue,
28 യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ അഹരോന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളെ സഹായിക്കുക, ആലയത്തിന്റെ അങ്കണവും വശത്തോടുചേർന്ന അറകളും സൂക്ഷിക്കുക, സകലവിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെയും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുക, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തിലെ മറ്റു ജോലികളെല്ലാം നിർവഹിക്കുക, എന്നിവയെല്ലാമായിരുന്നു ലേവ്യരുടെ ചുമതലകൾ.
And their office was vnder the hand of the sonnes of Aaron, for the seruice of the house of the Lord in the courtes, and chambers, and in the purifiyng of all holy thinges, and in the worke of the seruice of the house of God,
29 മേശയിലേക്കുള്ള കാഴ്ചയപ്പവും ഭോജനയാഗത്തിനുള്ള നേർമയേറിയ മാവും പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പവും അടകൾ ചുട്ടെടുക്കുന്നതും മാവു കുഴയ്ക്കുന്നതും അളവും വലുപ്പവും നിരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതും എല്ലാം അവരുടെ ചുമതലയായിരുന്നു.
Both for the shewbread, and for the fine floure, for the meate offring, and for the vnleauened cakes, and for the fryed things, and for that which was rosted, and for all measures and cise,
30 രാവിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരവും യഹോവയ്ക്കു നന്ദികരേറ്റുന്നതിനും അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നതിനും അവർ സന്നിഹിതരാകണമായിരുന്നു.
And for to stand euery morning, to giue thanks and praise to the Lord, and likewise at euen,
31 കൂടാതെ, ശബ്ബത്തുകളിലും അമാവാസികളിലും മറ്റു നിശ്ചിതമായ ഉത്സവവേളകളിലും യഹോവയ്ക്കു ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെ അവർ സന്നിഹിതരാകണമായിരുന്നു. അവർക്കു നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ട പ്രകാരവും എണ്ണത്തിനൊത്തും അവർ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിരന്തരം ശുശ്രൂഷകൾ അനുഷ്ഠിക്കണമായിരുന്നു.
And to offer all burnt offrings vnto the Lord, in the Sabbaths, in the moneths, and at the appointed times, according to the nomber and according to their custome continually before the Lord,
32 അങ്ങനെ ലേവ്യർ സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തിനും വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിനുംവേണ്ടി തങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള ചുമതലകളെല്ലാം നിറവേറ്റിയിരുന്നു. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷകളിൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ അഹരോന്യർക്കു സഹായികളായും വർത്തിച്ചിരുന്നു.
And that they should keepe the charge of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and the charge of ye holy place, and the charge of ye sonnes of Aaron their brethren in the seruice of ye house of the Lord.
