1 ദിനവൃത്താന്തം 18
1 കാലക്രമേണ ദാവീദ് ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ തോൽപ്പിച്ചു കീഴടക്കി. അവരുടെ അധീനതയിൽനിന്നു ഗത്തും അതിനുചുറ്റുമുള്ള ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു.
And it canto to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and took Gath and her villages, out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 ദാവീദ് മോവാബ്യരെയും തോൽപ്പിച്ചു. അവർ ദാവീദിന് അടിമകളായി കപ്പം കൊടുത്തു.
And he smote Moab, —and the Moabites became servants to David, bearers of a present.
3 കൂടാതെ, സോബാരാജാവായ ഹദദേസർ ഹമാത്തിന്റെ പരിസരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം തന്റെ ആധിപത്യം ഉറപ്പിക്കാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അധികാരപരിധിയിലുള്ള യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിവരെയും കീഴടക്കി.
And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, towards Hamath, —as he went to establish his hold of the river Euphrates.
4 അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആയിരം രഥങ്ങളെയും ഏഴായിരം കുതിരച്ചേവകരെയും ഇരുപതിനായിരം കാലാളുകളെയും ദാവീദ് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു. നൂറു രഥക്കുതിരകളെ ഒഴിച്ച് ബാക്കിവന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിനെയും ദാവീദ് കുതിഞരമ്പു ഛേദിച്ചു മുടന്തരാക്കി.
And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, saving that he reserved from them a hundred chariots.
5 ദമസ്കോസിൽനിന്നുള്ള അരാമ്യർ സോബാരാജാവായ ഹദദേസറിനെ സഹായിക്കാനെത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവരിൽ ഇരുപതിനായിരംപേരെ ദാവീദ് സംഹരിച്ചു.
And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
6 അരാമ്യരുടെ രാജ്യത്തുള്ള ദമസ്കോസിൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു കാവൽസേനാകേന്ദ്രം സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. അരാമ്യർ ദാവീദിന് അടിമകളായിത്തീർന്ന്, കപ്പം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. ദാവീദു ചെന്ന ഇടങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം യഹോവ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു വിജയം നൽകി.
And David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and so it was that the Syrians became, David’s, servants, bearers of a present, —so Yahweh gave victory to David, whithersoever he went.
7 ഹദദേസറിന്റെ സൈന്യാധിപന്മാർ വഹിച്ചിരുന്ന സ്വർണപ്പരിചകൾ ദാവീദ് പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത് ജെറുശലേമിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
And David took the shields of gold, that were upon the servants of Hadarezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
8 ഹദദേസറിന്റെ അധീനതയിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളായ തിബ്ഹാത്തിൽനിന്നും കുനിൽനിന്നും ദാവീദുരാജാവ് ധാരാളം വെങ്കലവും കൈവശപ്പെടുത്തി. വെങ്കലംകൊണ്ടുള്ള വലിയ ജലസംഭരണിയും സ്തൂപങ്ങളും മറ്റു വെങ്കല ഉപകരണങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിന് ശലോമോൻ ഇത് ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തി.
also, from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much bronze, —therewith, did Solomon make the sea of bronze, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
9 ദാവീദ് സോബാരാജാവായ ഹദദേസറിന്റെ സകലസൈന്യത്തെയും തോൽപ്പിച്ചു എന്ന് ഹമാത്ത് രാജാവായ തോയി കേട്ടപ്പോൾ,
And, when Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had smitten all the force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10 ദാവീദുരാജാവിനെ അഭിവാദനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനും യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഹദദേസരിന്മേൽ നേടിയ വിജയത്തിൽ അഭിനന്ദിക്കുന്നതിനുമായി, തോയി തന്റെ മകനായ ഹദോരാമിനെ അയച്ചു. ഹദദേസരും തോയി രാജാവുമായി കൂടെക്കൂടെ യുദ്ധമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സ്വർണം, വെള്ളി, വെങ്കലം ഇവകൊണ്ടുള്ള സകലവിധ ഉപകരണങ്ങളും ഹദോരാം കാഴ്ചയായി കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരുന്നു.
he sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had made war against Hadarezer and had smitten him, for, a man making wars against Tou, had been Hadarezer, —and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze;
11 താൻ കീഴടക്കിയ ഏദോമ്യർ, മോവാബ്യർ, അമ്മോന്യർ, ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ, അമാലേക്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽനിന്നെല്ലാം പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത സ്വർണവും വെള്ളിയുംപോലെതന്നെ യോരാം കൊണ്ടുവന്ന സാധനങ്ങളും ദാവീദ് രാജാവ് യഹോവയ്ക്കായി സമർപ്പിച്ചു.
them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold, that he bare away from all the nations, —from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 സെരൂയയുടെ മകനായ അബീശായി ഉപ്പുതാഴ്വരയിൽവെച്ച് പതിനെണ്ണായിരം ഏദോമ്യരെ സംഹരിച്ചു.
Moreover, Abishai, son of Zeruiah, smote Edom, in the Valley of Salt, —eighteen thousand;
13 അദ്ദേഹം ഏദോമിൽ കാവൽസേനാകേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു; ഏദോമ്യരെല്ലാം ദാവീദിന്റെ അടിമകളായിത്തീർന്നു. ദാവീദ് ചെന്ന ഇടങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം യഹോവ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു വിജയം നൽകി.
and set, in Edom, garrisons, and all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave David the victory, whithersoever he went.
14 തന്റെ ജനങ്ങൾക്കെല്ലാം നീതിയും ന്യായവും പാലിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ദാവീദ് സമസ്തഇസ്രായേലിനും രാജാവായി വാണു.
So David reigned over all Israel, —and he was executing justice and righteousness for all his people;
15 സെരൂയയുടെ മകനായ യോവാബ് സൈന്യാധിപനും അഹീലൂദിന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് രാജകീയ രേഖാപാലകനും ആയിരുന്നു.
and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Elihud, was recorder;
16 അഹീതൂബിന്റെ മകനായ സാദോക്കും അബ്യാഥാരിന്റെ മകനായ അഹീമെലെക്കും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശവ്ശാ ലേഖകനും ആയിരുന്നു.
and, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Shavsha, was scribe;
17 യെഹോയാദായുടെ മകനായ ബെനായാവ് കെരീത്യർക്കും പ്ളേത്യർക്കും അധിപതിയായിരുന്നു. ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ രാജാവിന്റെ മുഖ്യസേവകന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു.
and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, were first, in attendance on the king.
