1 ദിനവൃത്താന്തം 16
1 ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പേടകം കൊണ്ടുവന്ന്, ദാവീദ് അതിനുവേണ്ടി പ്രത്യേകം സജ്ജമാക്കിയിരുന്ന കൂടാരത്തിനകത്ത് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു. അതിനുശേഷം അവർ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും ദൈവമുമ്പാകെ അർപ്പിച്ചു.
And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.
2 ദാവീദ് ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിച്ചതിനുശേഷം യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ജനത്തെ ആശീർവദിച്ചു.
And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
3 പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം ഇസ്രായേലിലെ ഓരോ പുരുഷനും സ്ത്രീക്കും ഓരോ അപ്പവും ഓരോ കഷണം മാംസവും ഓരോ മുന്തിരിയടയുംവീതം കൊടുത്തു.
And he dealt out to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
4 യഹോവയുടെ പേടകത്തിനുമുമ്പാകെ ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നതിനും യാചന സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്കു നന്ദിയും സ്തോത്രവും അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുമായി ദാവീദ് ചില ലേവ്യരെ നിയോഗിച്ചു.
And he placed before the ark of the Lord several of the Levites as ministers, and to chaunt hymns, and to give praise and thanks unto the Lord the God of Israel:
5 ആസാഫ് അവരിൽ മുഖ്യനായിരുന്നു; സെഖര്യാവു രണ്ടാമനും പിന്നെ യാസീയേൽ, ശെമിരാമോത്ത്, യെഹീയേൽ, മത്ഥിഥ്യാവ്, എലീയാബ്, ബെനായാവ്, ഓബേദ്-ഏദോം, യെയീയേൽ എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു. അവർ വീണയും കിന്നരവും വായിച്ചു. ഇലത്താളം കൊട്ടുന്നതിനു നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത് ആസാഫ് ആയിരുന്നു.
Assaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah; Je'iel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and Matthithyah, and Eliab, and Benayahu, and 'Obed-edom; and Je'iel with psalteries and with harps; but Assaph played aloud with the cymbals.
6 പുരോഹിതന്മാരായ ബെനായാവും യഹസീയേലും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ പേടകത്തിനുമുമ്പാകെ നിരന്തരം കാഹളം ഊതുകയും ചെയ്യണമായിരുന്നു.
And Benayahu and Jachaziel the priests were with the trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 അന്ന്, ആദ്യമായി, യഹോവയോടു നന്ദി പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഈ സങ്കീർത്തനം ദാവീദ് ആസാഫിനെയും സഹായികളെയും ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു.
On that day—then did David appoint for the first time to give thanks to the Lord through means of Assaph and his brethren.
8 യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യുക, അവിടത്തെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുക; അവിടത്തെ പ്രവൃത്തി ജനതകൾക്കിടയിൽ വിളംബരംചെയ്യുക.
O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name; make known among the people his deeds.
9 അവിടത്തേക്ക് പാടുക, അവിടത്തേക്ക് സ്തോത്രഗീതങ്ങൾ ആലപിക്കുക; അവിടത്തെ അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾ വർണിക്കുക.
Sing unto him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.
10 അവിടത്തെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിൽ അഭിമാനംകൊള്ളുക; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഹൃദയം ആനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ.
Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.
11 യഹോവയെയും അവിടത്തെ ശക്തിയെയും അന്വേഷിക്കുക; എപ്പോഴും അവിടത്തെ മുഖവും.
Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.
12 യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ സന്തതികളേ, അവിടന്ന് തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യാക്കോബിന്റെ മക്കളേ, അവിടന്നു ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾ ഓർക്കുക, അവിടത്തെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും ന്യായവിധികളും സ്മരിക്കുക.
Remember his wonderful works which he hath done, his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;
O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.
14 അവിടന്ന് നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ ന്യായവിധികൾ ഭൂതലത്തിലെല്ലാം ഉണ്ട്.
He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.
15 അവിടന്നു തന്റെ ഉടമ്പടി എന്നേക്കും ഓർക്കുന്നു, അവിടത്തെ വാഗ്ദത്തം ഒരായിരം തലമുറകൾവരെയും
Remember ye for ever his covenant, the word which he hath commanded to the thousandth generation.
16 അവിടന്ന് അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു ചെയ്ത ഉടമ്പടിയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു ചെയ്ത ശപഥവുംതന്നെ.
Which he covenanted with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
17 അവിടന്ന് അത് യാക്കോബിന് ഒരു പ്രമാണമായും ഇസ്രായേലിന് ഒരു ശാശ്വത ഉടമ്പടിയായും ഉറപ്പിച്ചുനൽകി:
And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant;
18 “നിങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ഓഹരിയായി, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കനാൻദേശം നൽകും.”
Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance;
19 അന്ന് അവർ എണ്ണത്തിൽ കുറവായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ, ചെറിയൊരുകൂട്ടവും പ്രവാസികളും ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ,
When ye were but few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
20 അവർ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളിലേക്കും ഒരു രാജ്യത്തുനിന്ന് മറ്റൊന്നിലേക്കും അലഞ്ഞുതിരിഞ്ഞു.
And when they wandered from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people:
21 അവരെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് അവിടന്ന് ആരെയും അനുവദിച്ചില്ല; അവർക്കുവേണ്ടി അവിടന്ന് രാജാക്കന്മാരെ ശാസിച്ചു:
He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake.
22 “എന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തരെ സ്പർശിക്കരുത്; എന്റെ പ്രവാചകർക്ക് ഒരു ദ്രോഹവും ചെയ്യരുത്.”
Saying, “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”—
23 സർവഭൂമിയുമേ, യഹോവയ്ക്കു പാടുക! അനുദിനം അവിടത്തെ രക്ഷയെ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുക.
Sing unto the Lord all ye lands: announce from day to day his salvation.
24 രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ അവിടത്തെ മഹത്ത്വം വിളംബരംചെയ്യുക, സകലജനതകൾക്കുമിടയിൽ അവിടത്തെ അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും.
Relate among the nations his glory: among all the people his wonderful deeds.
25 കാരണം യഹോവ ഉന്നതനും സ്തുതിക്ക് അത്യന്തം യോഗ്യനുമാണ്; സകലദേവന്മാരെക്കാളും അവിടത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
For great is the Lord, and greatly praised; and he is to be feared above all gods.
26 ഇതര ജനതകളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെല്ലാം വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളാണല്ലോ, എന്നാൽ യഹോവ ആകാശത്തെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു!
For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord hath made the heavens.
27 പ്രതാപവും മഹിമയും തിരുമുമ്പിലുണ്ട്; ബലവും ആനന്ദവും അവിടത്തെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തുണ്ട്.
Majesty and honor are in his presence, strength and gladness are in his place.
28 രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളിലെ എല്ലാ കുലങ്ങളുമേ, യഹോവയ്ക്കു കൊടുക്കുക, മഹത്ത്വവും ശക്തിയും യഹോവയ്ക്കു കൊടുക്കുക.
Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye families of people, ascribe unto the Lord glory and strength.
29 യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അവിടത്തെ നാമത്തിനുതക്ക മഹത്ത്വംകൊടുക്കുക; തിരുമുൽക്കാഴ്ചയുമായി അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധിയിലേക്കു വരിക. യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധിയുടെ പ്രതാപത്തിന് അനുസൃതമായി അവിടത്തെ ആരാധിക്കുക.
Ascribe unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; take up an offering, and come into his presence; bow down before the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
30 സകലഭൂതലവുമേ, യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പിൽ നടുങ്ങുക. ഇളക്കംതട്ടാത്തവിധം ഭൂലോകം ഉറച്ചുനിൽക്കുന്നു.
Tremble before him, all ye lands! Also the world standeth firmly, that it be not moved.
31 ആകാശം ആഹ്ലാദിക്കട്ടെ, ഭൂമി ഉല്ലസിക്കട്ടെ; “യഹോവ വാഴുന്നു,” എന്ന് അവ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യേ ഉദ്ഘോഷിക്കട്ടെ.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
32 സമുദ്രവും അതിലുള്ള സകലതും മാറ്റൊലികൊള്ളട്ടെ. വയലേലകളും അതിലുള്ള സമസ്തവും ആഹ്ലാദാരവം മുഴക്കട്ടെ;
Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
33 വനവൃക്ഷങ്ങളും ഗാനം ആലപിക്കട്ടെ. അവ യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ ആനന്ദഗീതങ്ങൾ ആലപിക്കട്ടെ; അവിടന്ന് ഭൂമിയെ വിധിക്കുന്നതിനായി വരുന്നു.
Then shall the trees of the forest sing joyfully at the presence of the Lord; because he cometh to judge the earth.
34 യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്‌വിൻ, അവിടന്ന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness.
35 അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ കരയുക: “ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷകനായ ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ. ഞങ്ങൾ അവിടത്തെ പരിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിന് സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യുകയും അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതികളിൽ പുകഴുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്, ഇതര രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി ഞങ്ങളെ വിടുവിക്കണമേ.”
And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, to glorify ourselves in thy praise.
36 ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടട്ടെ; എന്നും എന്നെന്നേക്കും. അപ്പോൾ ജനമെല്ലാം, “ആമേൻ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from everlasting even unto everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praise unto the Lord.
37 ഓരോ ദിവസത്തെയും ആവശ്യമനുസരിച്ച് യഹോവയുടെ ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ പേടകത്തിനുമുമ്പാകെ നിരന്തരം ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി ദാവീദ് ആസാഫിനെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സഹായികളെയും നിയോഗിച്ചു.
And he left there in charge before the ark of the covenant of the Lord Assaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, at the work of every day on its day,
38 അവരോടുകൂടി ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നതിന് ഓബേദ്-ഏദോമിനെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തോടുകൂടെയുള്ള അറുപത്തിയെട്ടു സഹായികളെയുംകൂടി ദാവീദ് വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു. യെദൂഥൂന്റെ മകനായ ഓബേദ്-ഏദോമും ഹോസയും ദ്വാരപാലകരായി സേവനം ചെയ്തു.
And 'Obed-edom with their brethren, sixty and eight, and 'Obed-edom the son of Jeduthun and Chossah to be gatekeepers;
39 പുരോഹിതനായ സാദോക്കിനെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൂടെയുള്ള പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ദാവീദ് ഗിബെയോനിലെ ആരാധനാസ്ഥലത്തുള്ള യഹോവയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിനുമുമ്പിൽ നിയോഗിച്ചു.
And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord, in the high-place that was at Gib'on,
40 യഹോവ ഇസ്രായേലിനു നൽകിയിരുന്ന ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം അനുസരിച്ച് ദിവസവും രാവിലെയും വൈകിട്ടും ക്രമമായി യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കാൻ അവർ നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
To offer burnt-offerings unto the Lord upon the altar of the burnt-offering continually at morning and at evening, and this in accordance with all that is written in the law of the Lord which he had commanded concerning Israel;
41 അവരോടുകൂടെ ഹേമാനും യെദൂഥൂനും തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു, നാമനിർദേശം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട മറ്റുള്ളവരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. “അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു,” എന്ന് ഉരുവിട്ടുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവയ്ക്കു നന്ദി കരേറ്റുന്നതിന് അവർ നിയുക്തരായി.
And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were selected who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because unto everlasting endureth his kindness;
42 ഹേമാൻ, യെദൂഥൂൻ എന്നിവർ കാഹളങ്ങളും ഇലത്താളങ്ങളും മുഴക്കുന്നതിനും ദിവ്യസംഗീതത്തിനുള്ള മറ്റു വാദ്യോപകരണങ്ങൾ വായിക്കുന്നതിനും ചുമതലപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. യെദൂഥൂന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ വാതിൽക്കൽ നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
And with them, with Heman and Jeduthun, the trumpets and cymbals to play aloud, and the musical instruments of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be for the service at the gate.
43 പിന്നീട് ജനങ്ങളെല്ലാം അവരവരുടെ ഭവനങ്ങളിലേക്കു മടങ്ങി. ദാവീദും തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ ആശീർവദിക്കാനായി മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
And all the people went every man to his house; and David turned about to bless his house.
