1 ദിനവൃത്താന്തം 13
1 ദാവീദ് സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരോടും ശതാധിപന്മാരോടും, അങ്ങനെ തന്റെ അധിപതിമാരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തരോടും കൂടിയാലോചിച്ചു.
David had discussions with all his leaders, including the army commanders of thousands and hundreds.
2 അതിനുശേഷം ദാവീദ് ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവസഭയോടുമായി പറഞ്ഞത്: “ഞാൻ ഈ പറയുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമ്മതവും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്കു ഹിതവും ആണെങ്കിൽ, ഇസ്രായേൽദേശത്തെങ്ങുമുള്ള നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും നഗരങ്ങളിലും മേച്ചിൽപ്പുറങ്ങളിലും അവരോടൊപ്പം കഴിയുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും നമുക്ക് ആളയച്ച് ഇവിടെ കൂട്ടിവരുത്താം.
Then he addressed the whole assembly of Israel, saying, “If you agree, and if God approves, let us send an invitation to every Israelite in the land, including the priests and Levites in their towns and pastures, to come and join us.
3 നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പേടകം വീണ്ടും നമ്മുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാം. ശൗലിന്റെ ഭരണകാലത്ത് നാം അതിനെപ്പറ്റി പരിഗണിച്ചില്ലല്ലോ!”
Let us bring the Ark of our God back to us, because we forgot about it during the time of Saul.”
4 ജനങ്ങൾക്കെല്ലാം അതു ശരിയായിത്തോന്നി, അതുകൊണ്ട് ആ സഭ ഒന്നടങ്കം അപ്രകാരം ചെയ്യാൻ സമ്മതിച്ചു.
The whole assembly was pleased with the proposal, agreeing that this would be a good thing to do.
5 അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പേടകം കിര്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിനായി ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ സീഹോർനദിമുതൽ ലെബോ-ഹമാത്തിന്റെ പ്രവേശനകവാടംവരെയുള്ള ഇസ്രായേല്യരെ ആകമാനം വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തി.
So David summoned all of Israel, from the Shihor River of Egypt up to Lebo-hamath, to help bring the Ark from Kiriath-jearim.
6 കെരൂബുകളുടെ മധ്യേ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥനായിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന പേടകം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിനായി ദാവീദ് ഇസ്രായേല്യരെയെല്ലാം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് യെഹൂദ്യയിലെ കിര്യത്ത്-യെയാരീം എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ബാലായിൽച്ചെന്നു.
So David and all of Israel went to Baalah (otherwise called Kiriath-jearim) in Judah to bring back the Ark of God the Lord, whose throne is between the cherubim and who is called by the Name.
7 അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പേടകം അബീനാദാബിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഒരു പുതിയ വണ്ടിയിൽ കയറ്റി; ഉസ്സയും അഹ്യോവും വണ്ടി തെളിച്ചു.
They loaded the Ark of God onto a brand new cart and brought it from Adinadab's house, with Uzzah and Ahio directing it.
8 ദാവീദും ഇസ്രായേല്യരെല്ലാവരും ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ സർവശക്തിയോടുംകൂടെ കിന്നരം, വീണ, തപ്പ്, ഇലത്താളം, കാഹളം എന്നിവ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പാട്ടു പാടിയും നൃത്തംചെയ്തും അനുഗമിച്ചിരുന്നു.
David and all of Israel were celebrating before the Lord as loudly as possible, singing sings and playing music on lyres, harps, tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.
9 അവർ കീദോന്റെ മെതിക്കളത്തിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ കാള വിരണ്ടതിനാൽ ഉസ്സ പേടകം പിടിക്കാൻ കൈനീട്ടി.
But when they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, the oxen stumbled and Uzzah stretched out his hand to stop the Ark falling.
10 യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധം ഉസ്സയുടെനേരേ ജ്വലിച്ചു. അവൻ പേടകം തൊട്ടതിനാൽ യഹോവ അയാളെ സംഹരിച്ചു. അവൻ അവിടെ ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ മരിച്ചുവീണു.
The Lord was angry with Uzzah for daring to touch the Ark like this so he struck him down, and Uzzah died there before the Lord.
11 യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധം ഉസ്സയുടെമേൽ പതിച്ചതിനാൽ ദാവീദ് ദുഃഖിതനായി. ആ സ്ഥലം ഇന്നുവരെയും ഫേരെസ്സ്-ഉസ്സ എന്നു വിളിച്ചുവരുന്നു.
David became angry with the Lord for his violent outburst against Uzzah. He named the place Perez-uzzah, and it is still called that today.
12 അന്നു ദാവീദ് ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു. “ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പേടകം എന്റെ അടുത്തേക്കു ഞാൻ എങ്ങനെ കൊണ്ടുവരും,” എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചു.
David became afraid of God that day. “How can I ever bring back the Ark of God home to me?” he asked.
13 പേടകം തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിലേക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം കൊണ്ടുവന്നില്ല. പകരം, ഗിത്യനായ ഓബേദ്-ഏദോമിന്റെ വസതിയിൽ അതു കൊണ്ടുപോയി വെച്ചു.
So David did not move the Ark of God to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he had it taken to the home of Obed-edom the Gittite.
14 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പേടകം ഓബേദ്-ഏദോമിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തോടൊപ്പം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വസതിയിൽ മൂന്നുമാസം ഇരുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭവനത്തെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുള്ള സകലതിനെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
The Ark of God remained in Obed-edom's home for three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom's household and all that he had.
