1 ദിനവൃത്താന്തം 12
1 കീശിന്റെ മകനായ ശൗലിന്റെനിമിത്തം ദാവീദ് ഒളിച്ചുതാമസിച്ചിരുന്ന കാലത്ത് സിക്ലാഗിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുത്തുവന്ന ആളുകൾ ഇവരായിരുന്നു—അവർ ദാവീദിനെ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ സഹായിച്ച പടയാളികളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടവരായിരുന്നു;
And these [are] those coming to David at Ziklag, while shut up because of Saul son of Kish, and they [are] among the mighty ones, helping the battle,
2 അവർ അമ്പെയ്യുന്നതിൽ വിദഗ്ദ്ധരും വില്ലാളികളും ഇടങ്കൈകൊണ്ടും വലങ്കൈകൊണ്ടും കവിണയെറിയാൻ കഴിവുള്ളവരും ബെന്യാമീൻഗോത്രക്കാരും ശൗലിന്റെ ബന്ധുക്കളും ആയിരുന്നു:
armed with bow, right and left handed, with stones, and with arrows, with bows, of the brothers of Saul, of Benjamin.
3 ഗിബെയാത്യനായ ശെമായുടെ പുത്രൻ അഹീയേസെർ അവരുടെ നായകനും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ യോവാശും അസ്മാവെത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ യസീയേലും പേലെത്തും ബെരാഖാ, അനാഥോത്യനായ യേഹു,
The head [is] Ahiezer, and Joash, sons of Shemaab the Gibeathite, and Jeziel, and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
4 മുപ്പതു വീരയോദ്ധാക്കളിൽ ഒരുവനും ഗിബെയോന്യനുമായ യിശ്മയ്യാവ്—ഇദ്ദേഹം മുപ്പതുപേർക്കു നായകനായിരുന്നു— യിരെമ്യാവ്, യഹസീയേൽ, യോഹാനാൻ, ഗെദേരാത്യനായ യോസാബാദ്
and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty one among the thirty, and over the thirty, and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite.
5 എലൂസായി, യെരീമോത്ത്, ബെയല്യാവ്, ശെമര്യാവ്, ഹരുഥ്യനായ ശെഫത്യാവ്,
Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite;
6 എൽക്കാനാ, യിശ്ശീയാവ്, അസരെയേൽ, കോരഹ്യരായ യൊയേസേരും യാശോബ്യെരും,
Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam the Korahites,
7 ഗെദോരിൽനിന്നുള്ള യെരോഹാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ യോയേലായും സെബദ്യാവും.
and Joelah, and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8 ദാവീദ് മരുഭൂമിയിൽ സുരക്ഷിതസങ്കേതത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ചില ഗാദ്യർ കൂറുമാറി അദ്ദേഹത്തോടു ചേർന്നു. അവർ ധീരരായ പോരാളികളും യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരും കുന്തവും പരിചയും ഉപയോഗിച്ചു പൊരുതാൻ വിദഗ്ദ്ധരും സിംഹമുഖമുള്ളവരും പർവതങ്ങളിലെ കലമാനുകളെപ്പോലെ വേഗമേറിയവരുമായിരുന്നു.
And of the Gadite there have been separated to David, to the fortress, to the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men of the host for battle, setting in array buckler and spear, and their faces [are as] the face of the lion, and as roes on the mountains for speed:
9 ഏസെർ അവരുടെ നായകനായിരുന്നു. ഓബദ്യാവ് രണ്ടാമനും എലീയാബ് മൂന്നാമനും
Ezer the head, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
10 മിശ്മന്നാ നാലാമനും യിരെമ്യാവ് അഞ്ചാമനും
Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
11 അത്ഥായി ആറാമനും എലീയേൽ ഏഴാമനും
Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 യോഹാനാൻ എട്ടാമനും എൽസാബാദ് ഒൻപതാമനും
Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13 യിരെമ്യാവ് പത്താമനും മക്ബന്നായി പതിനൊന്നാമനുമായിരുന്നു.
Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
14 ഈ ഗാദ്യർ സൈന്യാധിപന്മാരായിരുന്നു; അവരിൽ ഏറ്റവും കഴിവു കുറഞ്ഞവൻ നൂറുപേർക്കു തുല്യനും ഏറ്റവും കഴിവുകൂടിയവൻ ആയിരംപേർക്കു തുല്യനും ആയിരുന്നു.
These [are] of the sons of Gad, heads of the host; the least [is] one of one hundred, and the greatest, of one thousand;
15 ഒന്നാംമാസത്തിൽ യോർദാൻനദി കരകവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ അതു കടന്നുചെന്ന് താഴ്വരകളിലെ നിവാസികളെ ആകമാനം കിഴക്കോട്ടും പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടും പലായനം ചെയ്യിച്ചത് ഇവർതന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു.
these [are] they who have passed over the Jordan in the first month—and it is full over all its banks—and cause all [those in] the valley to flee to the east and to the west.
16 മറ്റു ബെന്യാമീന്യരും ചില യെഹൂദന്മാരുംകൂടി സുരക്ഷിതസങ്കേതത്തിൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുത്തുവന്നു.
And [some] from the sons of Benjamin and Judah came to David at the stronghold,
17 ദാവീദ് പുറത്തുവന്ന് അവരെ എതിരേറ്റിട്ടു പറഞ്ഞു: “നിങ്ങൾ സൗഹൃദപൂർവം, എന്നെ തുണയ്ക്കാനാണു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളെ എന്നോടുകൂടെ ചേർക്കാൻ ഞാനൊരുക്കമാണ്. മറിച്ച്, എന്റെ കൈകൾ നിർദോഷവും അക്രമരഹിതവുമായിരിക്കെ, നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്ക് ഒറ്റിക്കൊടുക്കാനാണു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്കിൽ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം അതു കാണുകയും നിങ്ങളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ!”
and David goes out before them, and answers and says to them, “If you have come to me for peace, to help me, I have a heart to unite with you; and if to betray me to my adversaries—without violence in my hands—the God of our fathers sees and reproves.”
18 അപ്പോൾ മുപ്പതുപേർക്കു തലവനായ അമാസായിയുടെമേൽ ദൈവാത്മാവു വന്നു; അദ്ദേഹം ഇപ്രകാരം വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു: “ദാവീദേ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കുള്ളവർ! യിശ്ശായിപുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ! സമാധാനം, നിനക്കു സമാധാനം, നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കുന്നവർക്കും സമാധാനം; കാരണം അങ്ങയുടെ ദൈവം അങ്ങയെ സഹായിക്കും!” അപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് അവരെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു; തന്റെ കവർച്ചപ്പടയുടെ തലവന്മാരായി അവരെ നിയമിച്ചു.
And the Spirit has clothed Amasai, head of the captains: “To you, O David, and with you, O son of Jesse—peace! Peace to you, and peace to your helper, for your God has helped you”; and David receives them, and puts them among the heads of the troop.
19 ദാവീദ് ഫെലിസ്ത്യരോടുചേർന്ന് ശൗലിനെതിരേ യുദ്ധത്തിനു പോയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ മനശ്ശെ ഗോത്രത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട ചിലർ കൂറുമാറിവന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തോടു ചേർന്നു. ദാവീദിനും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ സഹായിക്കാൻ ഇടവന്നില്ല. ഫെലിസ്ത്യഭരണാധികാരികൾതമ്മിൽ കൂടിയാലോചിച്ചശേഷം ദാവീദിനെ മടക്കി അയച്ചു. അവർ പറഞ്ഞത് ഇപ്രകാരമാണ്: “സമരമുഖത്തുവെച്ചു ദാവീദ് തന്റെ യജമാനനായ ശൗലിന്റെപക്ഷം ചേർന്നാൽ നാം നമ്മുടെ തലയാണ് ഈ ഉടമ്പടിക്കു വിലയായി കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിവരിക.”
And [some] from Manasseh have defected to David in his coming with the Philistines against Israel to battle—and they did not help them, for by counsel the princes of the Philistines sent him away, saying, “He defects with our heads to his master Saul.”
20 ദാവീദ് സിക്ലാഗിലേക്കു പോയപ്പോൾ കൂറുമാറിവന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തോടുചേർന്ന മനശ്ശെ ഗോത്രജർ ഇവരാണ്: അദ്നാഹ്, യോസാബാദ്, യെദീയയേൽ, മീഖായേൽ, യോസാബാദ്, എലീഹൂ, സില്ലെഥായി—ഇവർ മനശ്ശെഗോത്രത്തിലെ സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരായിരുന്നു.
In his going to Ziglag there have fallen to him from Manasseh: Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillthai, heads of the thousands who [are] of Manasseh;
21 അവരെല്ലാവരും ധീരന്മാരായ പോരാളികൾ ആയിരുന്നതിനാൽ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കവർച്ചപ്പടയെ എതിരിടുന്നതിൽ ദാവീദിനെ സഹായിച്ചു. അവർ ദാവീദിന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിൽ അധിപതിമാരും ആയിരുന്നു.
and they have helped with David over the troop, for all of them [are] mighty men of valor, and they are captains in the host,
22 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സൈന്യംപോലെ ഒരു മഹാസൈന്യം ദാവീദിന് ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതുവരെ അനുദിനം ദാവീദിന്റെ പക്ഷത്തേക്ക് ആളുകൾ വന്നുചേർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
for at that time, day by day, they come to David to help him, until it is a great camp, like a camp of God.
23 യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ ശൗലിന്റെ രാജ്യം ദാവീദിങ്കൽ വരുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പക്ഷത്തേക്കു ഹെബ്രോനിൽവെച്ചു വന്നുചേർന്നവരും ആയുധമണിഞ്ഞ് യുദ്ധസജ്ജരായവരുമായ ആളുകളുടെ എണ്ണം ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു:
And these [are] the numbers of the head, of the armed men of the host; they have come to David at Hebron to turn around the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the mouth of YHWH.
24 യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നു പരിചയും കുന്തവുമേന്തി യുദ്ധത്തിനു സജ്ജരായ 6,800 പേർ;
The sons of Judah, carrying buckler and spear, [are] six thousand and eight hundred, armed ones of the host.
25 ശിമെയോന്യരിൽനിന്ന് യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരായ പോരാളിമാർ 7,100 പേർ;
Of the sons of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the host, [are] seven thousand and one hundred.
26 ലേവി ഗോത്രജർ 4,600 പേർ.
Of the sons of Levi [are] four thousand and six hundred;
27 അഹരോൻ കുലത്തിലെ നേതാവായ യെഹോയാദായും കൂടെയുള്ള 3,700 പേരും
and Jehoiada [is] the leader of the Aaronite, and with him [are] three thousand and seven hundred,
28 ധീരനും യുവപോരാളിയുമായ സാദോക്കും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടു സൈന്യാധിപന്മാരും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നതാണ് ഇവരുടെ അംഗസംഖ്യ;
and Zadok, a young man, a mighty man of valor, and of the house of his father [are] twenty-two heads.
29 ബെന്യാമീൻഗോത്രക്കാരിൽനിന്നു ശൗലിന്റെ ബന്ധുക്കാരായ 3,000 പേർ. ഇവരിൽ ഭൂരിപക്ഷവും അന്നുവരെ ശൗലിന്റെ ഭവനത്തോടു കൂറു പുലർത്തിയിരുന്നവരാണ്;
And of the sons of Benjamin, brothers of Saul, [are] three thousand, and until now their greater part are keeping the charge of the house of Saul.
30 ശൂരന്മാരായ പോരാളികളും സ്വന്തം ഗോത്രത്തിൽത്തന്നെ പേരുകേട്ടവരുമായ എഫ്രയീമ്യർ 20,800 പേർ;
And of the sons of Ephraim [are] twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, men of renown, according to the house of their fathers.
31 മനശ്ശെയുടെ അർധഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന് ദാവീദിനെ രാജാവായി വാഴിക്കുന്നതിനു പേരു പറഞ്ഞു നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ 18,000 പേർ;
And of the half of the tribe of Manasseh [are] eighteen thousand, who have been defined by name, to come to cause David to reign.
32 യിസ്സാഖാർ ഗോത്രക്കാരിൽനിന്നു കാലഗതികളെക്കുറിച്ച് നിശ്ചയമുള്ളവരും ഈ ഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഇസ്രായേൽജനത എന്തു ചെയ്യണം എന്നു നിശ്ചയമുള്ളവരുമായ നായകന്മാർ 200 പേരും അവരുടെ കൽപ്പനയിൽ വന്ന അവരുടെ സമസ്തബന്ധുജനങ്ങളും;
And of the sons of Issachar, having understanding for the times, to know what Israel should do; their heads [are] two hundred, and all their brothers [are] at their command.
33 സെബൂലൂൻ ഗോത്രക്കാരിൽനിന്നു തഴക്കംപ്രാപിച്ച പോരാളികളും എല്ലാവിധത്തിലുമുള്ള ആയുധവർഗവും യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ സജ്ജരും പൂർണവിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ ദാവീദിനെ സഹായിക്കാൻ സന്നദ്ധരുമായവർ 50,000 പേർ;
Of Zebulun, going forth to the host, arranging battle with all instruments of battle, [are] fifty thousand, and keeping rank without a double heart.
34 നഫ്താലി ഗോത്രക്കാരിൽനിന്നു പരിചയും കുന്തവുമേന്തിയ 37,000 ഭടന്മാരോടൊപ്പം 1,000 സൈന്യാധിപന്മാർ;
And of Naphtali, one thousand heads, and with them, with buckler and spear, [are] thirty-seven thousand.
35 യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരായ ദാൻഗോത്രജർ 28,600 പേർ;
And of the Danite, arranging battle, [are] twenty-eight thousand and six hundred.
36 ആശേർ ഗോത്രക്കാരിൽനിന്നു തഴക്കംവന്നവരും യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരുമായ പോരാളികൾ 40,000 പേർ.
And of Asher, going forth to the host, to arrange battle, [are] forty thousand.
37 രൂബേന്യരും ഗാദ്യരും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രക്കാരുമായി യോർദാന്റെ കിഴക്കുനിന്നു സർവായുധവർഗങ്ങളും ഏന്തിയ പോരാളികൾ 1,20,000 പേർ.
And from beyond the Jordan, of the Reubenite, and of the Gadite, and of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, with all instruments of the host for battle, [are] one hundred and twenty thousand.
38 ഇവരെല്ലാം യോദ്ധാക്കളും സ്വമനസ്സാ സൈനികസേവനത്തിനു സന്നദ്ധരായവരും ആയിരുന്നു. ദാവീദിനെ എല്ലാ ഇസ്രായേലിനും രാജാവായി വാഴിക്കാൻ ദൃഢപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് ഈ പുരുഷന്മാരെല്ലാം ഹെബ്രോനിലേക്കു വന്നു. ഇസ്രായേല്യരിൽ ശേഷിക്കുന്നവർ എല്ലാവരുംതന്നെ ദാവീദിനെ രാജാവായി വാഴിക്കുന്നതിൽ ഐക്യദാർഢ്യമുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു.
All these [are] men of war, keeping rank—they have come to Hebron with a perfect heart, to cause David to reign over all Israel, and also all the rest of Israel [are] of one heart, to cause David to reign,
39 അവർ മൂന്നുദിവസം തിന്നും കുടിച്ചും ദാവീദിനോടൊപ്പം കഴിഞ്ഞു. അതിനുള്ള വക അവരുടെ ബന്ധുക്കൾതന്നെ ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്നു.
and they are there, with David, three days, eating and drinking, for their brothers have prepared for them.
40 യിസ്സാഖാർ, സെബൂലൂൻ, നഫ്താലി ഗോത്രങ്ങൾവരെയുള്ള അവരുടെ അയൽവാസികൾ, കഴുതപ്പുറത്തും ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തും കോവർകഴുതപ്പുറത്തും കാളപ്പുറത്തുമായി ഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങളേറ്റി വന്നുചേർന്നിരുന്നു. ഇസ്രായേലെല്ലാം ബഹുസന്തോഷത്തിലായിരുന്നതിനാൽ അവിടെ മാവും അത്തിപ്പഴക്കട്ടയും മുന്തിരിയടയും വീഞ്ഞും എണ്ണയും കന്നുകാലികളും ആടുകളും ധാരാളമായി എത്തിച്ചേർന്നിരുന്നു.
And also those near to them—to Issachar, and Zebulun, and Naphtali—are bringing in bread on donkeys, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen—food of fine flour, fig-cakes and grape-cakes, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep, in abundance, for joy [is] in Israel.
