1 എസ്രാഹ്യനായ ഏഥാന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനം. യഹോവയുടെ കൃപകളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കും പാടും; തലമുറതലമുറയോളം എന്റെ വായ് കൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെ അറിയിക്കും.
[A Psalm] of instruction for Aetham the Israelite. I will sing of thy mercies, O Lord, for ever: I will declare thy truth with my mouth to all generations.
2 ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉറച്ചുനില്ക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു; നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെ നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ സ്ഥിരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
For thou hast said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy truth shall be established in the heavens.
3 എന്റെ വൃതനോടു ഞാൻ ഒരു നിയമവും എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു സത്യവും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
I made a covenant with my chosen ones, I sware unto David my servant.
4 നിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തും; നിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ തലമുറതലമുറയോളം ഉറപ്പിക്കും. (സേലാ)
I will establish thy seed for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. (Pause)
5 യഹോവേ, സ്വർഗ്ഗം നിന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെയും വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സഭയിൽ നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെയും സ്തുതിക്കും.
The heavens shall declare thy wonders, O Lord; and thy truth in the assembly of the saints.
6 സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ യഹോവയോടു സദൃശനായവൻ ആർ? ദേവപുത്രന്മാരിൽ യഹോവെക്കു തുല്യനായവൻ ആർ?
For who in the heavens shall be compared to the Lord? and who shall be likened to the Lord among the sons of God?
7 ദൈവം വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സംഘത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും ഭയങ്കരനും അവന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള എല്ലാവർക്കും മീതെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാൻ യോഗ്യനും ആകുന്നു.
God is glorified in the council of the saints; great and terrible toward all that are round about him.
8 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്നെപ്പോലെ ബലവാൻ ആരുള്ളു? യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തത നിന്നെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
O Lord God of hosts, who is like to thee? thou art mighty, O Lord, and thy truth is round about thee.
9 നീ സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ഗർവ്വത്തെ അടക്കിവാഴുന്നു; അതിലെ തിരകൾ പൊങ്ങുമ്പോൾ നീ അവയെ അമർത്തുന്നു.
Thou rulest the power of the sea; and thou calmest the tumult of its waves.
10 നീ രഹബിനെ ഒരു ഹതനെപ്പോലെ തകർത്തു; നിന്റെ ബലമുള്ള ഭുജംകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ ചിതറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
Thou has brought down the proud as one that is slain; and with the arm of thy power thou has scattered thine enemies.
11 ആകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളതു, ഭൂമിയും നിനക്കുള്ളതു; ഭൂതലവും അതിന്റെ പൂർണ്ണതയും നീ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
The heavens are thine, and the earth is thine: thou hast founded the world, and the fullness of it.
12 ദക്ഷിണോത്തരദിക്കുകളെ നീ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; താബോരും ഹെർമ്മോനും നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു;
Thou hast created the north and the west: Thabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
13 നിനക്കു വീര്യമുള്ളോരു ഭുജം ഉണ്ടു; നിന്റെ കൈ ബലമുള്ളതും നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ ഉന്നതവും ആകുന്നു.
Thine is the mighty arm: let thy hand be strengthened, let thy right hand be exalted.
14 നീതിയും ന്യായവും നിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാകുന്നു; ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി നടക്കുന്നു.
Justice and judgment are the establishment of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 ജയഘോഷം അറിയുന്ന ജനത്തിന്നു ഭാഗ്യം; യഹോവേ, അവർ നിന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശത്തിൽ നടക്കും.
Blessed is the people that knows the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.
16 അവർ ഇടവിടാതെ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ നീതിയിൽ അവർ ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
And in thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17 നീ അവരുടെ ബലത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വമാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ പ്രസാദത്താൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൊമ്പു ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
For thou art the boast of their strength; and in thy good pleasure shall our horn be exalted,
18 നമ്മുടെ പരിച യഹോവെക്കുള്ളതും നമ്മുടെ രാജാവു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധന്നുള്ളവന്നും ആകുന്നു.
for [our] help is of the Lord; and of the Holy One of Israel, our king.
19 അന്നു നീ ദർശനത്തിൽ നിന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു; ഞാൻ വീരനായ ഒരുത്തന്നു സഹായം നല്കുകയും ജനത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒരു വൃതനെ ഉയർത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
Then thou spokest in vision to thy children, and saidst, I have laid help on a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of my people.
20 ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനെ കണ്ടെത്തി; എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധതൈലംകൊണ്ടു അവനെ അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തു.
I have found David my servant; I have anointed him by [my] holy mercy.
21 എന്റെ കൈ അവനോടുകൂടെ സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും; എന്റെ ഭുജം അവനെ ബലപ്പെടുത്തും.
For my hand shall support him; and mine arm shall strengthen him.
22 ശത്രു അവനെ തോല്പിക്കയില്ല; വഷളൻ അവനെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കയും ഇല്ല.
The enemy shall have no advantage against him; and the son of transgression shall not hurt him again.
23 ഞാൻ അവന്റെ വൈരികളെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ തകർക്കും; അവനെ പകെക്കുന്നവരെ സംഹരിക്കും,
And I will hew down his foes before him, and put to flight those that hate him.
24 എന്നാൽ എന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയും ദയയും അവനോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അവന്റെ കൊമ്പു ഉയർന്നിരിക്കും.
But my truth and my mercy shall be with him; and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 അവന്റെ കയ്യെ ഞാൻ സമുദ്രത്തിന്മേലും അവന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യെ നദികളുടെമേലും നീട്ടുമാറാക്കും.
And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 അവൻ എന്നോടു: നീ എന്റെ പിതാവു, എന്റെ ദൈവം, എന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ പാറ എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിളിച്ചുപറയും.
He shall call upon me, [saying], Thou art my Father, my God, and the helper of my salvation.
27 ഞാൻ അവനെ ആദ്യജാതനും ഭൂരാജാക്കന്മാരിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനുമാക്കും.
And I will make him [my] first-born, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 ഞാൻ അവന്നു എന്റെ ദയയെ എന്നേക്കും കാണിക്കും; എന്റെ നിയമം അവന്നു സ്ഥിരമായി നില്ക്കും.
I will keep my mercy for him for ever, and my covenant [shall be] firm with him.
29 ഞാൻ അവന്റെ സന്തതിയെ ശാശ്വതമായും അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ ആകാശമുള്ള കാലത്തോളവും നിലനിർത്തും.
And I will establish his seed for ever and ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും എന്റെ വിധികളെ അനുസരിച്ചുനടക്കാതിരിക്കയും
If his children should forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ ലംഘിക്കയും എന്റെ കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ
if they should profane my ordinances, and not keep my commandments;
32 ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ലംഘനത്തെ വടികൊണ്ടും അവരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തെ ദണ്ഡനംകൊണ്ടും സന്ദർശിക്കും.
I will visit their transgressions with a rod, and their sins with scourges.
33 എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദയയെ ഞാൻ അവങ്കൽ നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളകയില്ല; എന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതെക്കു ഭംഗം വരുത്തുകയുമില്ല.
But my mercy I will not utterly remove from him, nor wrong my truth.
34 ഞാൻ എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ ലംഘിക്കയോ എന്റെ അധരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടതിന്നു ഭേദം വരുത്തുകയോ ചെയ്കയില്ല.
Neither will I by any means profane my covenant; and I will not make void the things that proceed out of my lips.
35 ഞാൻ ഒരിക്കൽ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധിയെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ദാവീദിനോടു ഞാൻ ഭോഷ്കുപറകയില്ല.
Once have I sworn by my holiness, that I will not lie to David.
36 അവന്റെ സന്തതി ശാശ്വതമായും അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനം എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെയും ഇരിക്കും.
His see shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;
37 അതു ചന്ദ്രനെപ്പോലെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ വിശ്വസ്തസാക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെയും എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും. (സേലാ)
and as the moon [that is] established for ever, and as the faithful witness in heaven. (Pause)
38 എങ്കിലും നീ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു തള്ളിക്കളകയും നിന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തനോടു കോപിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
But thou hast cast off and set at nought, thou has rejected thine anointed.
39 നിന്റെ ദാസനോടുള്ള നിയമത്തെ നീ വെറുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു; അവന്റെ കിരീടത്തെ നീ നിലത്തിട്ടു അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
Thou hast overthrown the covenant of thy servant; thou has profaned his sanctuary, [casting it] to the ground.
40 നീ അവന്റെ വേലി ഒക്കെയും പൊളിച്ചു; അവന്റെ കോട്ടകളെയും ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast made his strong holds a terror.
41 വഴിപോകുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അവനെ കൊള്ളയിടുന്നു; തന്റെ അയല്ക്കാർക്കു അവൻ നിന്ദ ആയിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
All that go by the way have spoiled him: he is become a reproach to his neighbours.
42 നീ അവന്റെ വൈരികളുടെ വലങ്കയ്യെ ഉയർത്തി; അവന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും സന്തോഷിപ്പിച്ചു.
Thou hast exalted the right hand of his enemies; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43 അവന്റെ വാളിൻ വായ്ത്തലയെ നീ മടക്കി; യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അവനെ നില്ക്കുമാറാക്കിയതുമില്ല.
Thou hast turned back the help of his sword, and hast not helped him in the battle.
44 അവന്റെ തേജസ്സിനെ നീ ഇല്ലാതാക്കി; അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ നിലത്തു തള്ളിയിട്ടു.
Thou hast deprived him of glory: thou hast broken down his throne to the ground.
45 അവന്റെ യൗവനകാലത്തെ നീ ചുരുക്കി; നീ അവനെ ലജ്ജകൊണ്ടു മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. (സേലാ)
Thou hast shortened the days of his throne: thou hast poured shame upon him. (Pause)
46 യഹോവേ, നീ നിത്യം മറഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നതും നിന്റെ ക്രോധം തീപോലെ ജ്വലിക്കുന്നതും എത്രത്തോളം?
How long, O Lord, wilt thou turn away, for ever? shall thine anger flame out as fire?
47 എന്റെ ആയുസ്സു എത്രചുരുക്കം എന്നു ഓർക്കേണമേ; എന്തു മിത്ഥ്യാത്വത്തിന്നായി നീ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു?
Remember what my being is: for hast thou created all the sons of men in vain?
48 ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു മരണം കാണാതെയിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ആർ? തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുന്നവനും ആരുള്ളു? (സേലാ) (Sheol h7585)
What man is there who shall live, and not see death? shall [any one] deliver his soul from the hand of Hades? (Pause) (Sheol h7585)
49 കർത്താവേ, നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയിൽ നി ദാവീദിനോടു സത്യംചെയ്ത നിന്റെ പണ്ടത്തെ കൃപകൾ എവിടെ?
Where are thine ancient mercies, O Lord, which thou swarest to David in thy truth?
50 കർത്താവേ, അടിയങ്ങളുടെ നിന്ദ ഓർക്കേണമേ; എന്റെ മാർവ്വിടത്തിൽ ഞാൻ സകലമഹാജാതികളുടെയും നിന്ദ വഹിക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ.
Remember, O Lord, the reproach of thy servants, which I have borne in my bosom, [even the reproach] of many nations;
51 യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവർ നിന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ കാലടികളെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു.
wherewith thine enemies have reviled, O Lord: wherewith they have reviled the recompense of thine anointed.
52 യഹോവ എന്നെന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ. ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ.
Blessed be the Lord for ever. So be it, so be it.
